That selection compromised our visits to Bilbao’s Attractions, besides -of course- for a programmed evening at ”Azurmendi” and our mandatory visit to none other than Bilbao’s Guggenheim -both- highlights in our Gastrotour.

A larger bread selection could have been offered.

The accommodation is in need of a bit of refurbishment

It would need a bit of a refurbishment to be a top little property.

The room was clean, very comfortable and spacious.

Our room was spotlessly clean and the welcome as warm as last time in good English.

The welcome was warm and friendly (in good English) and our room was very clean and comfortable with Air conditioning.

This consisted of 4 small dishes and a dessert with wine and water included also.

There wasn’t a big window to open, so no ventilation was possible as the sky light didn’t stay open.

The Bedrooms are up a floor and there are no lifts

but one of the rooms are on the first floor and there is no lift.

Inside, the accomodation is up another floor, no lifts.

There is no lift and the Bedrooms are up a floor so that with the steps up from the Car Park does make a trek and should be born in mind if any disabilities have to be taken into account.

It turned out that all the rooms are on the first floor and there is no lift.

Altube Nord: 
Bed room was clean and quiet with modern ensuite.

Proved to be excellent value at  50euro's for a very clean room with good bathroom shower etc
Able to buy snacks or have full meal and wine was only 6 euro's bottle - no rip off pricing
Breakfast is simple

We paid €100 for one night and for that we got a very tired looking room, it was a non smoking room that smelt terrible of stale smoke, cracks in the ceiling, two blankets that I would have thrown away long ago, black mould in the shower, cracked floor tiles to name a few.

but are becoming tired with deteriorating floor tiles, and ash trays in the "No Smoking" rooms ?

but not sure if any rooms are non smoking only.

Please do not come here if you are used to 5* cuisine and hotels because you will end up giving the hotel a bad revue that they do not deserve.

Cold meat starter (lots of cold meat), pork slices and chips (literally just that), followed by ice cream cake, all for £9!
