Great room, executive lounge was closed 2nd night due to local government restrictions on Covid

The experience at the executive lounge at JW Zhengzhou was absolutely fabulous.

if you visit executive lounge you will meet very helpful and friendly people

Room superb other than a problem with air conditioning which was fixed immediately.Staff from front desk, workout facilities, spa and executive lounge were all exceptional.

The executive lounge was the best I’ve seen in a Marriott hotel.

The place I spend more times was Executive Lounge nice,  great view and plenty of variety of delicious food and drinks.

The Executive Lounge: Offering an amazing ambience with one of the friendliest management staff (Ms. Pam Jiang) who makes it happen for you.

Especially Selena in the Executive Lounge had a great service attitude and was able to make a decent enough White Russian even tho she never did before :-).

I was pleased with Very nice staff and friendly atmosphere.Particularly executive lounge managers Pam/Fanny Wang/Selina and Iris,Hathway.

As a manager of JW executive lounge, she encouraged customer and lifted their signatured service to a new stage.

The food and services at the executive lounge was also very decent either.

Breakfast is great, so is executive lounge.

I went to the executive lounge to check in around 9 pm, Chole has arranged the room for me, and Fanny has also prepared cocktail called Sangria for us.

The room is super clean roomie and services from executive lounge are very impressive and thoughtful, especially thanks to Selina and Fanny there.

I stayed on the Executive Floor, and frequented the Executive Lounge, which is the best I have ever been to in China, in terms of its facility, service offerings, and mostly of all the warmth of its staff.

The service was good and the staff very polite and friendly.

Very friendly staff at the reception, Hotel room was really modern with open floor, nice and clean, stunning view from the room, quality of the room service food was excellent, also breakfast was OK. As a business hotel it is really recommended and location is central and not too far away from the airport.

Front desk Bonnie service is warm, friendly and patient.Give me a good customer experience, service is also very thoughtful, I would like to commend you, I hope you can persist.I hope other colleagues can learn from it.

J W Marriott Zhengzhou is my favorite hotel in China and this is the most friendly hotel service in China.

The staff is really friendly and they genuinely care about you and your comfort.

The staff such as Fanny, Selina are very friendly and helpful from making restaurant reservations, showing us how to use Didi (Chinese version of Uber) to find train schedule.

The rooms are big and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful.

All staff are friendly and they keep a secret note about your preferences like coffee, pillow, even where you like to place your glass.

Rooms are clean, restaurants are full of choices and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

For starters, everything about the hotel is perfect, great iconic building, nice decor, good service and clean rooms.

The service is good and the lounge club is also good.

Both Chinese and Grill Restaurant were very good food and services.

The quality of service personnel is uneven.

I can definitely feel the fabulous service they serve to me.

Service was also hit-and-miss with a “hit” for the most part - the agent that checked me in was not necessarily welcoming,

but bell service is located on the ground floor to provide assistance.

Best  service I have ever seen is here - JW Marriott Zhengzhou, from Selina and Ruby in lounge.

And another thing - I wanted a place to smoke my cigar and when I asked the Concierge or front desk, they informed me that there is no smoking lounge or place to have a smoke in the whole hotel except outside where the hotel drop off point is.

Let me talk about the environment, I love the fragrance when I step into the hotel, I guess they are using something like white tea, or green tea, how refreshing it is and make me really comfy.

The smoking people were gone when I returned.

I had hard overnight sushi, tea eggs seasoned with an ocean of salt, tough unpeeled asparagus, rancid walnuts, hard sausages..the list goes on.

Quite filthy looking thru the window and just shows poor maintenance of the building.

Was my second visit in this hotel and was still terrible , the room are still not clean and still terrible smell inside , you have coffee express machine

Selection of foods and drinks is very good with plenty of helpful staff.

I know your answer already, hiding behind Covid-19 regulations from the local Government.

I chose this hotel because of its artistic touch, a Le Meridien brand feature, to add to the romance of the proposal.

But the quality is as same as this brand.

However, I'll still come back because LM Zhengzhou is really one of the few LMs out there that encapsulates the LM brand from top to bottom.

Stayed here not long after opening, so everything brand new.

This new hotel is brand new and is extremely pretty.

The rooms all are brand new and very comfortable.

Breakfast is also on 1st floor plenty of choices and good service.

The lounge was also excellent- breakfast was outstanding the staff always remembered how we liked our omelette and they  made them for us every day.

First time in Zhengzhou also first time at le meridian , wonderful experience the most I like about the hotel everything is big , Big Room , big washroom , very clean and beautiful interior and fully equipped and not so expensive.

Our suite was spotlessly clean with interesting design and layout.

There is nothing not to like about this new hotel, from décor, planning, rooms and service its all simply magnificent.

Would definitely recommend, very similar vibe to many W hotels I've stayed in.

While not a replacement for dinner, it was a comfortable environment to relax after a busy day and well appreciated.

I was surprised to see worn out napkins on the table in such a nice hotel.

First, I loved the modern deco of Le Meriden Zhengzhou, especially the modern art pieces all over in different areas of the hotel.

It’s a nice design hotel at the edge of the city.

I was surprised when I found the room was nicely decorated.

Hotel modern decor, avant-garde art pieces, and the soundtrack playing throughout, are all in accord, if not to say harmony.

Executive suite currently open at 14:00 with sandwiches in afternoon then from 17:30 to 20:30 free drinks and food with most friendly staff.

The staff were always super friendly and professional- the men at the entrance were always helpful with carrying bags and opening doors which I have found can be really hit or miss in China.

The only downside was the small window overlooking a nearby high-rise, providing little natural light.

The only complaint I had was the lighting control panel by the bedside which was on throughout the night.

There was no good light outside the hotel which made walking into the hotel somewhat scary.

but apparently the lights are not and there was no phone in the room to call the front desk.

Do be sure to double-check your room type as I didn't realize until checking out that I had been placed on a smoking floor.

but I have seen hotel guests smoking in the  lobby, in the lifts and other public areas.

Most of us had headaches or felt sick from the smell.

Most excellent service, professionalism and coffee with lovely lounge area and tall ceiling.

Found that kind of annoying- I wanted to try the Meriden mimosa

.Two fat guy dressed like 'chef with a white hat' were standing aside and enjoying a long chat.

Since we got off the car, the hotel staff didn’t offer us any help with it.

.Let me start with check-in ,they welcomed me by giving small Shalini plaque,Lovely it was.My kid loved it.Got the room on 16th floor..One of the better compared to other similar class hotels in china.Breakfast spread was good though didn't like the  layout of their restaurant slightly irritating

The indoor pool and wellness center is great for families and individuals.

but, with some patience there was always someone there that could help

Walking distance to the exhibition centre but about 20mins from the city so decide if you want to spend the evenings more out in the city or quiet time in the hotel.

About a 20 minute walk to a huge modern shopping centre (very expensive though).

The hotel is located a little way away from the centre of the city

Good wireless internet service and business centre.

The price is very economic for western brand in large urban city.

Zhengzhou is a business city, nothing beautiful about the city, so nothing for tourists.

Hotel is in a modern area out of the main city area.

The lounge staff were very friendly and worked very hard to find out flight details, location of a local coffee place in the heart of the City (Zhengzhou is not a small city) and the spread of the happy hour snacks was good.

Price-- it's always lower than Hilton, Le Meridian and JW MArriott in the city. 2.

We stayed at this hotel whilst visiting an exhibition in the city.

So make sure this is the right part of the city to be in before you book.

There is free wifi in the rooms which is a rarity in many chinese cities.

I have to say every employee that I came in contact with was very friendly.

Reception in and out quick and efficient and concierge friendly and can help you in English.

Anyway, the big plus was the staff who I found to be attentive and friendly and the big reason that I will be back.

When I first checked into my room I found a letter explaining that there might be a problem with noise due to "improvements" going on the week of my stay.

but of a rooftop and of generators - looked like a prison.

The "ding" sound was like someone pressing my bell.

The only cons I had with this hotel was the construction noise all night due to some new infrastructure / building project across the street as well as getting hot water early in the morning, early AM cold shower was definitely not pleasant.

Only downside is that there is a  lot of construction work going on around it, thus you might get some noise during the day.

Simple things like the volume on the English language tv channel seem to be lower than the Chinese channels and as they had a restriction on how loud the tv could go (fair enough) that meant you could barely hear HBO etc.

The only negative is the noise level from neighboring room; loud TV can be heard through the wall.

The walls are thin and the problem with that is you tend to hear others returning late at night and slamming their doors.

but I could still hear the noise and the new room was next to the staff lift and corridor, so was not much better.

As is often the case in China, many people still smoke in their rooms.

So with that being said, unless you're ok smelling like smoke don't stay here.

The room quality has reduced due to high volume of Domestic travelers who violate the non smoking rule inside guest rooms.

I think you should be able to smoke in Chatz with your non-smoking friends.

It's common for hotels in China to be tainted with cigarette smoke,

Slight downsides included the fact, that like many establishments particularly outside of Beijing, Shanghai etc, Chinese businessmen seem to think that they can do whatever they like including shouting, spitting and smoking in non-smoking areas and nobody does anything about it.

There was a terrible smell from bathroom, which was felt in the entire room.

The bed is super comfortable, there's a nice chaise lounge and somehow they ventilate it such that you can't smell the cigarette smoke from your neighbors.

Accommodating a large group with varying tastes, desires and needs can be a daunting task.

Oh Yeah nice coffee shop with cakes near reception.

There were other staff roaming behind the reception desk
