Especially good is breakfast, which is one of the best we tried.

The breakfast was buffet style, varied and plentiful.

The breakfast has everything you could want and more and I would highly recommend getting it included.

Final thing I must mention is the breakfast - absolutely the best hotel breakfast I have ever had by far.

The location is wonderful a short walk away from the old town , cafes, museums, parks, shopping, etc 

We were given a bottle of wine as a VIP Expedia perk as well as upgraded to a suite.

The biggest criticism we have is of indifferent, inattentive and cheerless service in the Zinfandels restaurant.

Ate twice in their bistro restaurant - highly recommend lamb!

There is enough to have something different every day from the buffet and cooked menus, including some  local treats, and you won't need to eat again until dinner!

We also dined in the restaurant which was a great experience on our final evening, and the team kindly prepared some takeaway breakfast boxes for us as we had to leave at around 5am to catch our flight home.

The restaurant Zinfandel's is an absolute must to visit including the G&T from the bar made of Croatian Gin.

We ate at both restaurants and both were very good!.

The room was comfortable and we had no complaints except for the top rated restaurant, Zinfandel.

but on both occasions despite the staff being very friendly and polite they got our order wrong on different things on occasions and on the first day we had around a 40 minute wait for our meals.

The deluxe rooms are clean, spacious and well designed.

We loved the location of the hotel and our room was spacious and comfortable.

Amazingly comfy beds, wonderfully helpful check in staff - moved us from lower floor, dark room to one with a view which was a real bonus and hugely appreciated.

And the rooms are very comfortable and very affordable for a longer stay.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet.

I had one of the best rooms I've had in a while overlooking the esplanade and the city.

My son told me on the day we left, that he believed he could feel the 'springs' through his mattress in his room (430).

Who amazed me instantly was Mr. Mario Luketić from the concierge, as he gladly took our things into the suite ahead of our arrival, as well as taking my own flowers and room decorations to decorate the room in secret before our arrival (rose petals in the suite etc), assuring me all my requests will be taken care of, which they sure were.

We have been coming here for years and this was our 7th stay and will continue to come back because of the service and quality of the hotel.

Having traveled to all parts of the world I can say this hotel was remarkable in many ways and has a staff that offers superb service with a smile.

For the quality and service, this hotel provides amazing value for money.

Rooms were nice and service was ok.  service was ok, not overly friendly or helpful.

The service for providing on-site covid test for a fee was very helpful.

The staff were very welcoming, the service was 5-star, and the view from the bedroom window of the old buildings, the fountain, and the square was amazing!

The service by front desk, concierge, housekeeping and restaurant staff is stellar!!!

But the service and amenities are all contemporary.

Housekeeping was immaculate and laundry service was exceptional.

Hotel service excellent with some things like candies when you check in and a personal greeting on the television.

Staff at breakfast is really slow, so be ready to wait for a long time for your order and drink cold coffee.

The waiters working in the breakfast are slow and very lost.

Only reason for only 4 stars was the slow service for breakfast.

although the service was slow on the a la carte menu and they got a few of our orders wrong.

One slight grumble, the Wi-Fi which was included was a bit slow (5-6MB) and unprotected.

The only downsides - the drain in the shower was very slow, so the shower started filling up, and there is no self-service coffee/tea in the room.

First there was the bar, beautiful with great service and superb cocktails.

The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping to the bar and bistro to the concierge to the Spa, all were only too happy to be helpful and share their hotel and their city with us. A welcome change from US-corporate-chain hotels, we felt like valued guests in a (large!)

The Bar was also enjoyable, we had some Gin Tonics as the menu shows some 20 different of them (and I really LOVE G&T).

The bar is large and offers a huge gin menu for GT lovers.

I love food at the hotel and service at the bar.

but enjoyed the attentive but unobtrusive service, the clean and well appointed room, excellent brunch on the large, shaded patio and delectable wine in the evening at the bar.

Plus, the bar is a great place to unwind after a day of touring.

There is also a cheeky minibar under the telly with 2 bottles of Heineken that’s cheaper than in the bar downstairs.

The Esplanade was a bit like a museum in the best sense of the word.

The hotel was full so the best they could offer was combining the beds which is surprising given we arrived at around 4.30pm and it is clear they prioritise their weddings and local groups above their international guests.

The best hotel I have ever seen ( and I have studied hostpitality, worked in the industry and seen many 5 star hotels) .

This is just a grand hotel in the best European tradition.

Before arriving at the Esplanade a Croatian gentleman had told me that this was the best hotel in Croatia, and he was absolutely right.

Ideally located at the main square, the hotel was really nice choice for my purpose - beginning of Christmas market in front of it was an added bonus.

Location could not be better for xmas markets, walking distance to all main sites.

Terrific location within walking distance of market, restaurants and shops.

Literally across yhe square from the main food markets and then up the hill to the old town.

Don't forget to sample the fresh fruit at the market.

Dulac market is just opposite .. Upper town walking distance.

It is located in the centre of town next to the main square, within walking distance of all of the attractions, the markets, shopping, bars and restaurants.

This pretty Hotel is so central located - just a few minutes and you are at the market and all the Historic places!

It's a no traffic stret and during Christmas it has a Christmas Market just in front.

We went for the Christmas market and it sure was Christmasy it snowed while we were there and the hotel was cosy warm then when we opened our window we could smell mulled wine and hear Carol singers!

I liked that we could go out to the different markets and we were never that far from the hotel.

Stayed a night here and was extremely impressed, very large modern hotel in the centre of Zagreb.

It is a clean hotel with modern parts cobbled onto a non-modern sensibility.

Rooms were modern and clean and the staff knowledgeable and really helpful.

My stay at Hotel Dubrovnik was great my room was very spacious and modern.

The rooms are more modern than I expected, the bathrooms are really what needs an update

The foyer of the hotel is a little confusing as it is a mixture of modern and old, with the modern not being done that well.

This is a big hotel, quite modern, which hosts business people, some tour groups, and tourists.

Some pieces of furniture have scratches, the breakfast is average and the gym is very poor.

The set meal for groups is not so good, desserts were poor, mixed fruit one night and a piece of apple strudel the next.

The one disappointment was the food - breakfast was of limited choice and the buffet on arrival of the group was in our opinion poor.

but, perhaps because I have spent extensive time in SEAsia the poor chinese fellow was perfectly understandable.
