Breakfast is a great way to start the day!

Breakfast box in case of early flights very kindly offered.

It has a large restaurant open to the public and a breakfast buffet, that is well attended by staff.

But both staff and facilities managed to add  some more good value by themselves here:

Breakfast is an absolutely treat..Prosecco was an excellent touch.

Extensive breakfast included, not really worth much despite the variety and high quality, since the city centre is crawling with cheap and  delicious things to eat.

We had a good sized room, good size bathroom, massive bed, nice shower and the staff and breakfast were both good.

Excellent location for Christmas markets.

In spite of the central location in buzzy streets, didn't feel any noise.

Ideally located at the main square, the hotel was really nice choice for my purpose - beginning of Christmas market in front of it was an added bonus.

Location could not be better for xmas markets, walking distance to all main sites.

Terrific location within walking distance of market, restaurants and shops.

Literally across yhe square from the main food markets and then up the hill to the old town.

Don't forget to sample the fresh fruit at the market.

Dulac market is just opposite .. Upper town walking distance.

And, with the Dolac Market so close, we thought it odd to serve bowls of tinned fruit

Excellent location, just 5 minutes walk to Dolac Market & Tkalceceva Street, and 10 minutes walk to Museum of Broken Relationships

It is located in the centre of town next to the main square, within walking distance of all of the attractions, the markets, shopping, bars and restaurants.

Hope to be back at this hotel in December for the Christmas markets.

This pretty Hotel is so central located - just a few minutes and you are at the market and all the Historic places!

It's a no traffic stret and during Christmas it has a Christmas Market just in front.

We went for the Christmas market and it sure was Christmasy it snowed while we were there and the hotel was cosy warm then when we opened our window we could smell mulled wine and hear Carol singers!

I liked that we could go out to the different markets and we were never that far from the hotel.

Stayed a night here and was extremely impressed, very large modern hotel in the centre of Zagreb.

It is a clean hotel with modern parts cobbled onto a non-modern sensibility.

Rooms were modern and clean and the staff knowledgeable and really helpful.

Hotel rooms are in a new construction building, very modern contemporary styling.

My stay at Hotel Dubrovnik was great my room was very spacious and modern.

The rooms are more modern than I expected, the bathrooms are really what needs an update

The foyer of the hotel is a little confusing as it is a mixture of modern and old, with the modern not being done that well.

This is a big hotel, quite modern, which hosts business people, some tour groups, and tourists.

The hotel itself is modern and the rooms are spacious, clean and quiet!

Great service, clean, modern, parking, restaurant steak house also great food and service.

We had booked Deluxe King Rooms which were a very good size, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated in a modern style.

It looks modern on the outside with a large and tall almost all glass facade.

Breakfast buffet was poor, I'd expect a wee bit more quality for what I paid per night.

Such poor attitude or behavior reflects negatively on the image of your establishment which deserves its 4* rating!! !

Some pieces of furniture have scratches, the breakfast is average and the gym is very poor.

The set meal for groups is not so good, desserts were poor, mixed fruit one night and a piece of apple strudel the next.

The one disappointment was the food - breakfast was of limited choice and the buffet on arrival of the group was in our opinion poor.

She gave us poor directions in a poor English to hail One.

but, perhaps because I have spent extensive time in SEAsia the poor chinese fellow was perfectly understandable.

but the link from that out to the internet was poor, it kept dropping out and wasn't good enough to make a Skype call.

Breakfast is very poor, internet speed is very low.

The hotel is surrounded by cafes and shops and it’s a short stroll to old town.

The restaurant was very good - the filet mignonette was superb.

but we had hoped for some local food selections.

You are near by to all the major attractions, great restaurants and shopping.

Everything was close by, money, convenience store shopping and tons of great restaurants.

Everything was fresh and there was pretty good selection of food to choose from.

I am staying in junior suite which happens to be just above the restaurant, last night there was a big wedding reception at the restaurant and my bed felt like I was trying to rest on the top of a massive subwoofer.

There's a massive bookstore next door and several more within a block; there are a ton of music stores a block away, and some of Croatia's top inland restaurants are within 10 minutes walk.

Right in the centre, walking distance to sights, bars, food etc.

Restaurant has a good food and long drinks were exceptional.

Hotel was easy to find, and was central to the City, walk out the hotel and bars are plenty, and shops a minute walk, would recommend a walk up the Ivana Tkalciceva street in the evening, many bars and restaurants, just walk over the tram line, and straight up.

The Good: Centrally located, really good breakfast and restaurant, nice room with good-sized bathroom and bath tub.

We were close to everything from restaurants, shopping, tram and Church’s.

..  we had to change rooms because the first one smelled like an ashtray (it happens) and they were very pleasant about changing.

Room we booked was smelling really bad, they moved us to another one, which had trees in front of the room instead of ocean.

The toilets in reception were disgusting!!

The bathroom was disgusting with mould on the tiles and the SOS cord should never be touched for fear of contracting some disease.

though the room should have been non smoking it really smelled of stale cigarettes.

but most Brits and Americans will find the smoking in bars a real throwback nuisance.

butts after a very long day of travelling.

Breakfast was ordinary too, not many options and the food was flavourless and stale.

No idea what the VIP treatment was, we waited, were rushed and put in a room with a musty carpet.

This is posing a question, why would anyone book this hotel using Booking.com when you can get the same room for the same cost and free parking??

We arrived early, at the reception they complained that we booked with agoda and that they could not give us a room in the renovated part with one big bed.

The staff are brilliant, cheerful, friendly and helpful.

Staff were friendly and we had early check in.

I will always come here when going to Zagreb for professional reasons! !

The reception team were very apologetic and finally at 1:15am I was moved to a single room on the top floor just to be able to get some sleep,

Professional service, very good house keeping.

The hotel location is absolutely perfect for anyone visiting Zagreb as it is just off the main square, the staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel's dedicated parking lot is about 2 minutes walk away, which is a godsend for a city centre hotel.

The best thing of breakfast was local dish štrukle which was really delicious.

Its the best option for a short stay in the city.

The Hotel Dubrovnik is one of the best hotel experiences we can recommend.

but the Best Western Astoria Hotel (where we stayed as well) was cheaper and better quality.

Breakfast was one of the best we have seen in our many trips to Europe, parking was a great option.

The best thing is close proximity of center of the town.

The waiter Marin was the best, easy to communicate witha and he had best suggestions for drinks and food.

After a total of three calls to complain, we finally got a technician at about 1am to check the ac.

Seemed like she just didnt want to do the extra work of switching names.

Poor mattress, dry air at room (air conditioner fault?)

Non working air conditioning which is not uncommon is europe

Air conditioner not great and mostly not working.

Housekeeping says that the smoking and non smoking rooms share the same vent and hence why.

The fridge was dirty inside, the robes had holes, the air con sounds like a freight train.

We blew a fuse when we tried to use a plug adaptor for a hair dryer.

but it had a window that could be opened which cooled the room nicely.

In Europe apparently they shut off ac in rooms for the winter and the heat is turned on.

The A/C did not seem to work so we opened the unusual window that only opened about 4 inches.

However, there is no working air conditioning in the hotel.

AC in my room 1229 was not working properly

but not Air conditioning since they had just changed the system to heat since it was October.

Air-conditioning was not turned on during Autumn season, so the windows had to be opened otherwise it gets too stuffy in the room.

The rooms are run down and walls peeling, air conditioning does not work as expected and the services in the hotel are poor.

The breakfast was excellent with good service and mimosas and bloody mary's!!!!

Breakfast was great with a large selection of hot and cold food choices and the morning staff there was so friendly and helpful.

I especially want to mention the superb breakfast, in my opinion it's one of the best breakfasts in Europe I've had.

I particularly appreciated the young lady who’d bring my dinner most evenings, who’d wait across the hall until I picked up the food, ‘to make sure you are okay.’ There was also the lady that brought my breakfast who was also very kind.

And breakfast with help yourself sparkling wine is a great way to start a Sunday.

The breakfasts were excellent. We renegotiated our room rate when we knew we would be staying for a while (moving in!!)

Comfortable beds, lovely staff, great buffet breakfast with good cappuccino and great workout gym.

Breakfast was very good as you would expect from a 5* hotel with a range of hot and cold food on offer, and the service was great from one particular lady

but the room was clean, staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was the normal.

:  Everyone visits the breakfast buffet twice, and having filled up with what they knew on the first trip, on the second trip, after consulting that printed introduction to the Croatian breakfast, some guests might venture to sample the flavours of Croatia.

Special thanks to Mr. Vlado - who worked at the wedding reception on the 17th floor, as well as the breakfast restaurant - for his kindness, great service and warmth.

Breakfast was outstanding - terrific variety and everything was very fresh.

Room was clean, parking plentiful, and the central walking part of town was only a few blocks away.

The buckling carpet in the halls and the old furniture in the rooms just needs to go.

The hotel has a wavy carpet in the hallways which urgently needs attention.

Carpets were stained and well worn and the iron provided was cheap.

I noticed that the carpet in the hallway is worn and had some spots.

Room quality is terrible, furniture is very old, carpets are dirty, the windows were probably last cleaned a month ago ..

Some of the quality furnishings and carpets are looking a little tired.

There were stains in the carpet, curtains, and even on the lampshade.

Overall, Westin Zagreb needs significant maintenance & upgrade - it is a very dated property with stained carpets, smelly corridors & rooms.

My room wasn’t vacuumed before I checked in because there was a lot of hair on the carpet and bathroom floor.

but room very dated,dark Deco carpet did not fit raised up in several places,bathroom door didn't close and scuff marks all over wall from previous occupiers
Does need money spent on rooms.Certainly not 5 star.

Breakfast area and reception was ok we were on the 9th floor the lifts shook every time you went in them which was awful, rooms very dated decor was old and carpets in the foyers one levels were all lifted and stretched it’s like they need relaying.

However, getting a little long "in the tooth"  And could use some maintenance and refurbishment   Carpets dirty and torn in hallways.

but to be a bit picky, the carpet and under felt needed replacing and the bathroom fittings needed maintenance.

The carpet has holes in various spots in the hallway and in our room. Furniture is more or less modern and up to date,

The room is veery old even when you arrive at the 4th floor you are welcomed by stains on the carpet.

The shower drips (more than one room; my colleague found the same issue), the carpet wasn’t properly hoovered when I arrived and was threadbare, the wifi frequently drops (I’m here for a conference and having to use my phone data connection as a personal hotspot to get my work done).

though it needs some refurbishment (floor carpet doubtfully clean).

The entrance was a little off putting-cracked cement, and the hallway carpet was coming up.

The room itself was an ok size, with a nice two sided view over much of the city.

We had a wonderful view over the city and they accommodated us with adjoining rooms.

They gave me a nice view of the city, such that on sunny days, I had a beautiful view.

but 

The rooms - check in staff put me in a (?recently) renovated room with a city view , and she specifically said that the renovated rooms are definitely better than the others.

The room had a nice view of the city with a comfortable king bed, a safe in the room, and comfy robes.

The hotel and room were very clean and we had a nice spacious room We had a corner room with a nice view of the city.

Central location with great view over the city from the top floors.

The room was fine, the bed very comfortable and the view was toward city center this time, so it was a fabulous view.

Had phenomenal view of city especially at sunrise.

She put me in the room with a view of the city center on 11th floor.

There was a safe, an ironing board, and a city view.

The room I got had been recently renovated and had a wonderful view over the city!
