I have found coming in autumn or spring before in other months I have found the air conditioning too hot and have been unable to turn it down in the room.

After i complaint to the hotel, a standing FAN was sent to my room as a solution.

Furthermore, the gigantic reception area in the winter months has no heating!

I'm not sure whether the whole heaters where defective or it was switched off for cost reason? !

If you sleep hot and need room temp 70F or 22C or less in order to sleep, don't stay here.

The first room was aircon was not working well.

but again very warm >> was given a fan, but this only cycles the warm air .

3908 (at about $200US a night) was 27C, and that was with 2 electric fans on high constantly!!

Weak points are that there is no sufficient heating in the entrance hall, restaurants or even the lounge to make a long time stay cosy.

We moved roomed x3, was told the temp control panel in the room was decoration and gave an illusion of control as temperature was controlled centrally, and a fan blowing hot air was not a solution.

As they can only provide me a electric fan for the night. ..

but you can request a portable heater and in the summer the Aircon is ineffective.

Breakfast was very good, Located in the central district.

It is a Buffet where you can order Jap, Kor, Thai, Ind food.

what i liked most about this hotel - a restaurant on the first floor, 128 RMB per dinner and the buffet is yours.

The breakfast is adequate and has all the basic food required.

I like the private atmosphere at the club floor during breakfast time or for meeting with business partners.

There is a buffet of verity food which includes Indian food as well.

The dinner was a buffet with every possible taste catered for, and breakfast was also great.

though the fried eggs were severely undercooked (egg whites still clear on top).

Overall the hotel for a nightly rate of 685 RMB with breakfast for two is good value .

Besides the fantastic buffet already available he is adding real value to the dinner by serving the best curries and other typical Indian dishes, including the naan etc.

The view was superb because it has a window with city view and another smaller window with sea view.

The hotel is fantastic with best view of some part of city, sea and its food.

but the fact it is far from the city doesn't make good choice for travelers.

The location of the hotel is away from city center, about 10 minutes walk to beach side.

but it's a 20 minutes and RMB 40-50 taxi drive away from the city center.

If you want to get away from the crowds, noice and busy life of the Thier 1 & 2 cities, without going to a fancy resort, this is the place to be.

If you ever come to Yantai for leisure or work, Crowne Plaza is the best hotel to stay in, it is the grandest and nicest hotel you can find in Yantai city.

Rooms are perfect, clean and have everything one needs, service is excellent stuff very helpfull and speak good English, restaurant upstairs is also the best in the city, The main complaint is that the hotel is too far from downtown,

I have been travelling in China to different big, medium and small cities and almost findings excellent hotels only in those big cities.

When I arrived in Yantai I was totally out of my comfort zone as I had heard all the horror stories about hotels in 3rd tier cities.

but so far away from downtown area, the restaurant on the first floor is good , but staff barely speak English , club lounge is very nice too

As a member of priority club I got an upgrade to a nice seaview room.

The check in was quick and all of the benefits of being a Priority Club member were pointed out such as the Happy Hour.

The service staff are helpful at breakfast (western and Chinese selections, with eggs cooked to order), and on the club floor during happy hour. great happy hour,

As part of my room upgrade, I was entitled to use the club lounge which I found to be quite nice, with a reasonable range of food.

I was travelling to Yantai for a weekend trip from Weihai and looking for Indian food there.

I have tried food in their restaurant Taste of Asia.

Three dining options plus in room with a variety of cuisines at fair prices or a short walk made meals easy .

In the night, I ordered a Beef Tenderloin to the room. Superb!!

The executive louge is very good, providing smoking area and nice food.

The cost of food varies as per the weekdays.

The Taste of Asia restaurant is really good.

A variety of hot hawkers food awaited you who dared to sample the local northern fried pancakes etc .

We go to Crowne Plaza for just one reason, that is the Indian food prepared by the Indian master cook Mr. Parkash!

The room was large and had every possible amenity - even an ironing board.

My room was modern and clean - upper floor.

The rooms directing to the sea have a great view on the shore.

The rooms are reasonably clean and nicely decorated,

Room size was equally large with an office desk and a bath tub with a floor to ceiling glass window .

Whoever stays in my room next will have a nice new room.

Check-in and -out was slow, staff struggled with English.

but one felt cut off from the world, Concierge quite helpful as was Reception.

however, by far better in terms of service, price and staff friendliness and attention to the client.

Reception area was huge and after a welcome drink at the cafe on ground floor .

The best part of the stay was a courteous and professional staff who speak English.

The staff English speaking capability was outstanding making me as a foreigner feel comfortable and welcome.

There is even intelligent toilet seat cover in the bathroom, which is rather rare for Chinese hotels in 2015.

The staffs are generally friendly and if you need transport to the penglai airport, can always take the shuttle bus (about 25Rmb) instead of cab or arranging transport which cost significantly more.

From the 31st floor of 43 we enjoyed a terrific ocean blue water and sandy beach view.

I spent two days based at the hotel, with a marvellous sea view from the 27th floor.

The view from our room in 33th floor was perfect.

The view was really nice - it was a bit foggy

Also restaurant is very nice situated, rotating with spectacular views.

There is a park there (NE of Yantaishan West Gate) and a lighthouse with a good view of the town and surrounding harbor.

The room is excellent - space is large, bed is comfortable, and most importantly, the sea view is wonderful.

The fridge in the room was broken too (so couldn't store drinks etc), along with the standing lamp near the window.

My only complaint is the lack of deep cleaning in rooms (soiled carpet, dirty windows and mirrors).

But there is not much to walk to for sightseeing in the area and the university town from my window look a bit grim.

An example: window glued with silicon, impossible to have fresh air in the room
-	Internet – IS NOT WORKING, NEVER.

I would suggest a minor renovation to improve the view from the chairs adjacent to the window - build a raised platform for the sitting area so that you can see over the window frame instead of looking straight at it.

The window opens sparingly, with no air coming in.

The floor moves a bit too quickly and the window frames hold the sparkling rainbow-colored neons that flash non-stop on the outside.

The hotel has several dining choices; Western food at the Café Vista, Japanese food including Teppanyaki, a Chinese restaurant, Lobby lounge bar with great views and the Club Lounge for executive club rooms which serves cooked to order eggs and various dinner dishes in the evening.

I was on the Club Floor and enjoyed the complimentary buffet breakfast which had a vast array of choices sure to please any diner.

Great breakfast buffet, a bit down for the Dinner selection. Your salmon deserves better treatment, I am Norwegian and fish is holy for me ;-)

Yantai is a beautiful city, the people are very nice.

One can see the city and the ocean from high above.

The Wanda Vista Hotel is located in the center of the city next to a large shopping mall.

Being in China for so many times, still i had never visited such a luxurious hotel in not so famous city of Yantai.

The hotel starts from the 26th floor up, providing a stunning view on the city.

The Hotel rooms are nice and sound, the restaurant at the top floor is ideal situated and of a high standard, the views over the city are spectacular.

Close to nightlife, not far from seaside in the lovely city of Yantai.

Sea view is very nice, with City views as well.

Stayed in the executive club room and had a ball of experience from the amenities to the room view.

The location is great, it's right beside a mall, everything I need from a quick bite to Starbucks is right there!

The hotel is well located and there is a shopping mall (Wanda Plaza) just nearby the hotel and where you can find all you need (many restaurants, shops, Vanguard supermarket, Watson, McDonald’s, etc …)
The room (which was a Deluxe King type room on 35th floor facing west side) was really nice, quiet, clean, spacious enough and the bed very comfortable.

The hotel is perfect - very new, luxurious, well located near Wanda mall.

The food was top class and more western for the executive guests.

There is also a local food market across the street, along with bars that serve a variety of beers from all over the world.

This Wanda hotel has no difference from others I've stayed, fancy, comfy, clean, good facilities, good restaurants .

A number of eating places all within the same mall.

They have great food, excellent service and well organized events.

and absolutely no way to get one … which is very surprising for this type of high standard hotel … It would be very appreciated to have at least hot chocolate in powder (small format stick packet like we can find for Milo or Cadbury etc …) that we could mix ourselves with the hot/cold milk they provide …
Other than that … the breakfast buffet is very good with large choice of food.

Had meals at both restaurants, excellent service and great food.

My room was very clean, modern, and well appointed.

The comfort is that of 5-star standard room with a comfortable king-size bed, a large desk and a recliner.

I think a room with a sea view is a good choice, as the sea views are lovely and the windows are floor to ceiling.

From the moment we arrived with he warm welcome, great food for the breakfast and buffet and very helpful staff in every department.

but not the least, I always enjoyed the breakfast.

On the first evening I had a personal, handwritten letter of welcome along with a local apple delicacy.

The breakfast buffet was good, as is the buffet lunch and dinner restaurant on the 2nd floor.

I would certainly stay there when I next visit Yantai for this city is a really fascinating, attractive and friendly city that I hope to come back to soon.

Even the staff that weren't that great in English worked really hard to help us, and overall we felt very welcome to the city and the hotel.

It has nice views of the islands and of the city, especially at night.

City centre is about a 15/20 minute walk.Try going through the back streets near the hotel.
