I have found coming in autumn or spring before in other months I have found the air conditioning too hot and have been unable to turn it down in the room.

After i complaint to the hotel, a standing FAN was sent to my room as a solution.

Furthermore, the gigantic reception area in the winter months has no heating!

I'm not sure whether the whole heaters where defective or it was switched off for cost reason? !

If you sleep hot and need room temp 70F or 22C or less in order to sleep, don't stay here.

The first room was aircon was not working well.

but again very warm >> was given a fan, but this only cycles the warm air .

3908 (at about $200US a night) was 27C, and that was with 2 electric fans on high constantly!!

Weak points are that there is no sufficient heating in the entrance hall, restaurants or even the lounge to make a long time stay cosy.

We moved roomed x3, was told the temp control panel in the room was decoration and gave an illusion of control as temperature was controlled centrally, and a fan blowing hot air was not a solution.

As they can only provide me a electric fan for the night. ..

but you can request a portable heater and in the summer the Aircon is ineffective.

It is a Buffet where you can order Jap, Kor, Thai, Ind food.

what i liked most about this hotel - a restaurant on the first floor, 128 RMB per dinner and the buffet is yours.

The breakfast is adequate and has all the basic food required.

I like the private atmosphere at the club floor during breakfast time or for meeting with business partners.

There is a buffet of verity food which includes Indian food as well.

The dinner was a buffet with every possible taste catered for, and breakfast was also great.

Besides the fantastic buffet already available he is adding real value to the dinner by serving the best curries and other typical Indian dishes, including the naan etc.

The view was superb because it has a window with city view and another smaller window with sea view.

The hotel is fantastic with best view of some part of city, sea and its food.

but the fact it is far from the city doesn't make good choice for travelers.

The location of the hotel is away from city center, about 10 minutes walk to beach side.

but it's a 20 minutes and RMB 40-50 taxi drive away from the city center.

If you want to get away from the crowds, noice and busy life of the Thier 1 & 2 cities, without going to a fancy resort, this is the place to be.

If you ever come to Yantai for leisure or work, Crowne Plaza is the best hotel to stay in, it is the grandest and nicest hotel you can find in Yantai city.

Rooms are perfect, clean and have everything one needs, service is excellent stuff very helpfull and speak good English, restaurant upstairs is also the best in the city, The main complaint is that the hotel is too far from downtown,

I have been travelling in China to different big, medium and small cities and almost findings excellent hotels only in those big cities.

When I arrived in Yantai I was totally out of my comfort zone as I had heard all the horror stories about hotels in 3rd tier cities.

but so far away from downtown area, the restaurant on the first floor is good , but staff barely speak English , club lounge is very nice too

As a member of priority club I got an upgrade to a nice seaview room.

The check in was quick and all of the benefits of being a Priority Club member were pointed out such as the Happy Hour.

The service staff are helpful at breakfast (western and Chinese selections, with eggs cooked to order), and on the club floor during happy hour. great happy hour,

As part of my room upgrade, I was entitled to use the club lounge which I found to be quite nice, with a reasonable range of food.

Check-in and -out was slow, staff struggled with English.

The room is good, the view is just amazing , sea is very close

From the 31st floor of 43 we enjoyed a terrific ocean blue water and sandy beach view.

Crowne Plaza Yantai Seaview excellent hotel.

And the view is also great facing the sea.

I spent two days based at the hotel, with a marvellous sea view from the 27th floor.

The view from our room in 33th floor was perfect.

The view was really nice - it was a bit foggy

The rooms directing to the sea have a great view on the shore.

but with a nice bath, view and decent bell boys who help you with your luggage, even before you get to the main door.

Also restaurant is very nice situated, rotating with spectacular views.

There is a park there (NE of Yantaishan West Gate) and a lighthouse with a good view of the town and surrounding harbor.

The room is excellent - space is large, bed is comfortable, and most importantly, the sea view is wonderful.

The fridge in the room was broken too (so couldn't store drinks etc), along with the standing lamp near the window.

My only complaint is the lack of deep cleaning in rooms (soiled carpet, dirty windows and mirrors).

But there is not much to walk to for sightseeing in the area and the university town from my window look a bit grim.

I would suggest a minor renovation to improve the view from the chairs adjacent to the window - build a raised platform for the sitting area so that you can see over the window frame instead of looking straight at it.

The window opens sparingly, with no air coming in.

The floor moves a bit too quickly and the window frames hold the sparkling rainbow-colored neons that flash non-stop on the outside.

From the moment we arrived with he warm welcome, great food for the breakfast and buffet and very helpful staff in every department.

but not the least, I always enjoyed the breakfast.

On the first evening I had a personal, handwritten letter of welcome along with a local apple delicacy.

I would certainly stay there when I next visit Yantai for this city is a really fascinating, attractive and friendly city that I hope to come back to soon.

Even the staff that weren't that great in English worked really hard to help us, and overall we felt very welcome to the city and the hotel.

It has nice views of the islands and of the city, especially at night.

City centre is about a 15/20 minute walk.Try going through the back streets near the hotel.

The hotel staff was were so accommodating and helped us with every question and concern that we had about the area, city, and country.

Yantai is a small coastal city of 600,000 or so, and this hotel sits right by the water.

Changyu Wine Culture Museum is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

Walking distance to the Wine and Culture Museum and Yantai Mountain.

This seaside hotel is at the end of a promenade and seawall not far from a wine museum and "Times Square" where street vendors run a 7 day a week flea market.

Just behind is the famous Yantai hill with a lighthouse.

The hotel has several dining choices; Western food at the Café Vista, Japanese food including Teppanyaki, a Chinese restaurant, Lobby lounge bar with great views and the Club Lounge for executive club rooms which serves cooked to order eggs and various dinner dishes in the evening.

Wide breakfast selection in good quality.

Breakfast is very good, lunch and dinner---not very good---expensive.

Very comfortable 2 room setting, excellent view of Yantai and 2 fine choices for breakfast,  The full breakfast setting was excellent with an unending array of foods.

I was on the Club Floor and enjoyed the complimentary buffet breakfast which had a vast array of choices sure to please any diner.

Great breakfast buffet, a bit down for the Dinner selection. Your salmon deserves better treatment, I am Norwegian and fish is holy for me ;-)

Yantai is a beautiful city, the people are very nice.

One can see the city and the ocean from high above.

The Wanda Vista Hotel is located in the center of the city next to a large shopping mall.

Being in China for so many times, still i had never visited such a luxurious hotel in not so famous city of Yantai.

The hotel starts from the 26th floor up, providing a stunning view on the city.

The Hotel rooms are nice and sound, the restaurant at the top floor is ideal situated and of a high standard, the views over the city are spectacular.

Close to nightlife, not far from seaside in the lovely city of Yantai.

Sea view is very nice, with City views as well.

Stayed in the executive club room and had a ball of experience from the amenities to the room view.

The location is great, it's right beside a mall, everything I need from a quick bite to Starbucks is right there!

The hotel is well located and there is a shopping mall (Wanda Plaza) just nearby the hotel and where you can find all you need (many restaurants, shops, Vanguard supermarket, Watson, McDonald’s, etc …)
The room (which was a Deluxe King type room on 35th floor facing west side) was really nice, quiet, clean, spacious enough and the bed very comfortable.

The location is very good and attached to the Wanda Mall.

Next door is the new shopping mall in town with all  kind of western brands and Asian.

The restaurant buffet is one of the best in Yantai,

though sumptuous, is of the same quality one finds in the 'all you can eat buffet' in the US.

Although on the other side of that coin, the breakfast buffet was just about as perfect as could be.

If you are staying in Yantai definetly consider this hotel, close to the beach and 25 mins to city center by foot or standard 10 RNB by taxi.

It's near lot's of what makes Yantai a cool city, including the beach, the boardwalk, the old section of the city, and an excellent Duck House (Pecking duck restaurant) across the street.

Wow.. this hotel is excellent.. big rooms, great view, by the seaside and park.

Workers were so amazing in the speed of work and how they cleared the snow of the car park.

The living room windows have a partial side view of the Bohai Sea.

As Hilton Honors diamond member I and my family member were upgraded to executive floor, both as registered guests.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and I like the sincerity of the staff including Cassie and all her colleagues at the executive floor lounge.

The lounge and the staff Lara helps us a lot.

The staff Bonnie Amanda Crystal in the lounge offers my family the best service ever.

but didn't locate such clause; in fact the diamond member and up to one additional registered guest will always enjoy complimentary access to the executive floor lounge.

Executive lounge is a good option, Ms Wendy is a new friend we met here.

The hotel is very nice and cosy and the service staff at the executive lounge Erin and Cassie are exemplary in their service.

I am in the executive lounge and having dinner. 有大虾，鱿鱼，牛肉和甜点，水果。服务人员非常敬业，服务很热情，多次加水，还提醒新菜上来。

询问了附近的小吃街，得到了专业的答复，还写了小卡片方便顾客去寻找。

服务人员还热情介绍了酒店的餐厅，菜品，推荐了中餐厅，还没去尝试，明天中午会去看看。

酒店的泳池还在装修不能使用。

Adding to this is the horrendous mould in the roof!

They should let the smells disappear first before operating.

This hotel is great for business and is in a very good location by the sea.

We had a two bed room that overlooked the beach at Yantai, lovely views, the staff were amazing and catered to our every need.

The room is spacious with grand view of blue sea coast when it’s sunny and it’s a real feast to eyes when looking out of my window.

Near to the sea side you should ask for a room with sea view.

Reception is at the 26th floor in this stunning hotel and the rooms for many floors above so the views are outstanding.

The hotel has great view and very nice room and they also tried to give me an upgrade.

From the lobby and the restaurant in the 26th floor you get a better view on Yantai than from Yantai hill.
