Amazing experience this time!Thanks to Vincent we got a really personal attention to our needs, staying in the hotel with small kid turns out to be great due to very professional and friendly attitude!

Friendly staff was assisting everywhere and tables were quickly cleared of clutter.

All staff from Front Desk & Housekeeping were friendly and helpful.

Warm & friendly greeting on every visit - always made to feel welcome and  with staff such as Gilbert looking after us we can’t go wrong, shall keep coming back to this oasis in Xiamen.

Sometimes, language level of the receptionist or room service operator I speak to is excellent, and at other times I find it easier to revert to my poor Chinese in order to communicate rather basic messages.

The biggest disaapointment was that there was poor internet connection (or no connection at all) during my 3 night stay.

This left a bad feeling for us on our final night and I would not dine at the hotel or bar as a result of this poor service.

i asked the poor girl that was alone what's this smell .

Cold, poor quality food and absolutely chaotic service.

Their speed of service for basic requirements was extremely slow.

Only 2 clerks/desks open for check-in and out, slow procedure and through new security system it is not possible to check in on the Continental floor!

We also tried the Japanese and Chinese restaurant, the service is slow.

Check out was a bit slow as the reception is desk style so there are pros and cons.

Even there own ability to use their credit card machines was mind numbingly slow.

For the price I paid for this hotel I was not happy with the slow internet, frequent disconnects, out dated bathroom, and no heater in the room.

The AC was not strong enough, one of the cleaners used smelled a little musty, people were smoking on the non smoking floor and used items were not replaced (face cloths, body wash, batteries for the scale).

but the non smoking room I requested turned out to be a smoking request.

simply put them to non smoking floors 。 5. more incentive to direct booking guests6.

The guests stay in this hotel smoke a lot, even non smoking room can smell smoke. ..

The area iis all non smoking and smokers have to retreat outside by the pool if they wish to light up.

My colleague's room had a strong smoking smell.

To sum up the room review section is, you walk into the room and you will smell how old this hotel is.

The rooms are bit old (urgent renovations recommended) and there should be more non smoking rooms!

The free weights are old and the back gym room smelled so musty.

However, there was this issue with the cigarette stench.

The Hotel looks out on a lake, which can smell a little in the height of summer,

Nice and comfortable room except there was a bit smelly on the bathroom sink drain.

The staff really need to pay more attention in my booking of two rooms - one smoking and one non-smoking - there is no point of asking me repeatedly if I mind two non-smoking rooms when it is already mentioned in my request.

Western breakfast was totally under the bar - sausage, ham and bacon were disgusting.

Its the 2nd time Ive stayed here and Im Very, VERY happy with the front desk customer service.

Staff are incredibly patient, professional, courteous, and speak decent English.

The building provides some shade and the attendants will jump up to help move lounge chairs to shaded areas.

Attendant wouldn’t allow us to park in front temporarily to check in.

Staff always willing to help and get you where you wanted to be.

The Marco Polo has a few tempting restaurants on site including Italian, fusion, Japanese, Southeast Asian and a Starbucks.

The hotel location is good, and there is a nearby Starbucks near door.

Just inside the hotel is an Starbucks coffee shop and a Italian restaurant.

The Starbucks in the corner add bnonus points.

Also, on the ground and second floor of the hotel they have a Starbucks and other amazing restaurants.

Some luxury boutique around hotel, Starbucks and some other western restaurant is situated nearby too.

There is a Starbucks on the back and side of the hotel, which can be accessed from within the lobby.

And, if you really feel the need for caffiene, there is a Starbucks attached to the back corner, which is very convenient if you want a take away coffee, or even to kill a little time before your taxi to the airport.

Hotel is near a local cafe Street, and there is also a Starbucks at the hotel premise itself.

Starbucks in the hotel premises is a blessing.

and the best part is they have a Starbucks attached to the hotel!

The hotel has a nice pastry shop in the lobby along with a Starbucks for convenient coffee and breakfast.

but there in Starbucks right in the hotel building.

bars that serve imported European beers, breadstores, supermarket, mini wet market, foot massage (the Chinese way) and it has its own starbucks.

Have a starbucks at lobby which is convenient.

The location is great with a Starbucks attached and several restaurants, bars and shops just outside.

Downstairs in the lobby - has Starbucks and a few designer shops - so overall the feel is 5star.

The service in the Pacific Club lounge was outstanding.

The club lounge is adequate and the service is excellent; the staffs at the lounge are professional and informative.

We used the club lounge a lot for quiet breakfasts and for snacks and drinks whenever we wanted.

We stayed for a week in a double room with access to the Club Lounge.

Having booked ourselves rooms on the Pacific Club floor gave us access to the Pacific Club Lounge for breakfast and cocktail.

The staff at the club lounge are always friendly and helpful.

The service is very friendly and helpful especially Emma for the club lounge.

Breakfast is in the Club Lounge with a good buffet spread.

The hotel has excellent facility and the snacks offered at the Pacific Lounge on the club floor were also convenient and tasty when we didn't want a big meal.

My preference was definitely for the club lounge.

Our club room located on the 25th floor is functional, bath tub with separate shower stall.

The staff is very accommodating and the rooms on the club floors are fantastic.

A special shout out to Teresa in the restaurant (she is fantastically friendly and welcoming, and bakes amazing bread), as well as the ladies who looked after me in the Club Room.

Is strongly recommend booking the Pacific club room is you have the opportunity.

Club Room is nicely situated on the top floors with great view of the sea and mountain side, a great King bed with firm mattress, bath room had a separate tub and shower.

We booked a club room so that we had access to the club lounge for breakfast and drinks with canapés in the early evening.

The hotel was kind enough to give me a club room with access to the sumptuous Pacific Club for breakfast, afternoon tea, drinks and work stations.

Although there is new subway construction in front of the hotel, we weren’t disturbed or heard any noises at all.

The only reason why I gave it lesser than 5-star is because it is not connected to the MRT line as yet (it is currently u set construction).

but the good hotels they either lightly threaten to sell you a swim cap or give you a loaner of a ugly pink swim cap, or turn the blind eye, even more so for the outdoor pool that birds poop in, air pollution settles in or leaves and so on.

One of the walls in the toilet was mouldy.

In the living room there was an awful smell of cigarettes (obviously someone was smoking in the room before we came in).

but though on non-smoking floor, still smelt of smoke.

I tried to use Zense, the Chinese restaurant, 

The Chinese restaurant serves tasty food and so does the Q-bar.

The food in the Chinese restaurant is delicious and also the daily breakfast on the 2nd floor.

Both McDonalds and KFC within walking distance if you need a break from chinese food.

We ended up having dinner in the Chinese restaurant which was quite nice.

My lunch at the Chinese restaurant inside the hotel was also super enjoyable.

but was still quite tasty and a refreshing change from the amount of Chinese food we had been eating!

The food in the Chinese restaurant is excellent and certainly would miss it and therefore recommand.

The chinese fusion restaurant offered great traditional food/ with a twist at very reasonable price.

but was invited to a business dinner at the Chinese restaurant.

Also, they have a great Chinese restaurant with a nice setup & marvelous taste.

When we came back to the room at night, we found a nice birthday cake with a greeting card on the table.

but they charged me the full walk in rate, I said the app was down and could I not quality for the same online rates, they just said "no" and that's it.

however, was a very far cry from what the 'excellent' ratings had led me to expect from a recognised brand seeking to charge premium prices.

Few flaws: when we arrived the credit card machine of the hotel would not work and they insisted to get the full amount of the stay plus extras in cash cover, when the problem was theirs and not ours.

but on check-out I was given a bill with no deductions made, and the internet charge was still there.

I had booked a prepaid rate online and received several emails to say my credit card had been charged and the room paid for

Must be one of the few hotels in China where WiFi is not free; they charge 50rmb for slow wifi and 80 for fast.

The receptions said "nope, you have to come down drop your key, and say you are leaving then we will release charges from your credit card, despite you have settled the payments" is this 5 star foreign brand of hotel?

Laundry service wanted to charge me extra "express charge" for laundry I left at 8:30 in my room,
