And the only reason I am giving 'very good' rating (and not 'excellent') is that I expected a WOW factor which is not easy to achieve on a weekend evening when I checked in.

Some members of the team had even gone to bed before others food arrived.

When I arrived about 8pm no one around to help with the luggage check in was a nightmare staff do NOT speak English service levels unacceptable.

If they have told me earlier, we would have dropped the upgrade and just do the normal check-in.

After arrival at the hotel I was very disappointed about the lounge club.

Arriving in late July, the room I was given was so hot I had to move.

The rooms will not get to the point of "cold"

but it was cold there, seems no air con running.

We ordered food in the lobby lounge and every single dish arrived cold or not at all.

There is also a mall conveniently located just outside the hotel.

The hotel is located centrally and is next to Wanda Plaza mall.

Located with line 2 subway literally next to the parking lot makes getting around extremely convenient.

It is located immediately next to a subway terminal that will get you all around the city for less than .75 cents (US Dollars).

I stay here several times a year and I call it my Wuxi home because it's comfortable, good location, has great facilities including gym.

This hotel is in good location - steps away from subway line 2 and 15 min taxi ride to huishang old town .

The management is literally non-existent, not exaggerating.

To compound a terrible experience we were forced to pay for the atrocious food and service by the duty manager Leo Liu who seriously needs to learn how to deal with unhappy customers.

Why did the management put her working at the conceige desk ?

Wondering how come they keep so old white wines in their cellar which can be proven dangerous for the public health, don't get disappointed if the manager on duty doesn't speak English.

Company booked me a room at the Sheraton Wuxi.

I have yet to be in a room that keeps the room at a comfortable temperature.

At the moment, the room temperature was at 24 degrees Celsius, and I lowered the thermometer to 20 degrees.

The rooms are clean and with the amenities you’d expect with a functional 5* class hotel.

Confortable bed with clean linies, internet in the room is excellent, I used to connect every night with my company in Brazil and it worked properly everytime.

The bathroom features a bathtub, a shower room, a sink area, and a Japanese toilet room.

We also had difficulty locking the bathroom doors.

Thirdly, we experienced a cracked toilet window when we arrived back from our day.

but water was too cold and even showers were cold too.

Our room was enormous and the bathroom was probably the nicest I've ever seen at a hotel.

I left room with hanging socks in toilet for drying, back room at Night to see they offered me a wooden drying frame to hang in the room.

I did not eat my sushi  due to the hygiene concerns..

Due to the fact that I booked the highest tier Twin Bed Room, and as an InterContinental Ambassador Member with a Guaranteed Upgrade, we couldn’t get upgraded to a Suite because it was impossible to put two extra beds in their Suites.

The room was very warm (23-24 C) and due to it being winter, the air conditioner was disabled.

The checkout was delayed due to volume of guests and only 3 people on reception.

Have to called to inform the Front Desk and was told it could be due to many new staff not properly trained.

And I decided to move other hotel due to several factors.

The view of the Wuxi Museum and Park was an added plus.

If you like to walk outside, there is a park where you can mingle with the locals set to marching music every morning or kids riding colorful battery powered toys in the evenings.

It is in a quieter location and my room overlooked the park.

Room on the 28th floor overlooking the park was big, spacious with a nice view.

It is a city that most go to for its lake, its mountains, its rich traditional culture, and its cuisines.

The food they served was also fairly pleasant.

We recommend going to the iCafe Buffet Restaurant for Breakfast.

The air conditioning in the rooms do take forever to cool the room and the best you will get is 24c if you keep it on for a day continuously.

The air conditioner in my room wasn't working well and my colleagues had similar problems.

Clean rooms with both bath and shower possibility.

This hotel is very good, big and clean rooms, good restaurants and mini markets to buy snacks, beverages and other basic stuffs.

It has sofa set, table and chairs by the window, drink counter, independent shower booth, shower toilet and so on.

The hotel is big and the arrival lobby is a bit boring.

And check-in and check-out could use a lot of simplification and speeding up.

Very disappointed to have booked the Nikko hotel for this weekend, and later receive an email stating that it could not accommodate us due to concerns about the epidemic, presumably because we are foreigners, despite the fact that we live in Shanghai, have green health QR codes etc., and have not left China since January 2020.

There are a couple of streets of shops and restaurants (all local food) if you cross the main rd (straight in front of main door direction).

but the staff in the kitchen doesn't clean the table quick once the hotel customers finished their meal.

The downright unforgivable;
 - I had to request that the mini bar be filled (it was completely empty on my arrival) and then it subsequently was not refilled.

One small story, there was a afternoon tea group buying on local website, before I purchased, I asked the Lounge Bar staff to confirm whether this afternoon tea can be sent to my room for eating, he answered yes, when we arrived, the staff was not on duty and another staff at the bar Lounge refused to meet my requirements, what a joke, is that your IHG service that put customer East and West and what a non-sense of your staff.

Upon check in, I had to wait as explained they could not find the reservation or any records, after 10 minute a nice lady came and asked me to please step over to the next counter, there she said we are sorry

Nice 5 star hotel, room was clean,good size,and feels cozy; fairly good service; there are some small local restaurants and a couple of convenient stores around the hotel, and there is a Starbucks downstairs.

This hotel did some things very well and scored poorly in others, turning in a very uneven performance over all.

In Wuxi weddings are popular during lunch so avoid the weekends if you have a big meeting.

The only setback was English communication with room service personnel was poor.
