Great location; 5 minute walk to town square, 20 minute drive to the airport, public transport out the front.

It's just outside the Old Town - public transportation is just across the street and there are many restaurants in the neighborhood.

Good location on the ring road for access to public transportation and a short walk to the Rynek (and Restauracja Konspira one of the best restaurants in town).

It is conveniently located in the historical centre of Wrocław, It is only 200 metres (less than 200 yards) from the Market Square and close to public transport.

Ultra clean rooms, nice bedding, the room for 3 persons was a king bed and one single, perfect for our family of 3.

The staff spoke great English, the rooms were tidy and spacious, beds were comfy.

Great bed, downside was ventilation system with no possibility to open windows.

There was some street noise and light, with the street car and a huge street lamp right outside our window,

but ofcourse what else  expect then the window is facing the main street of a big city.

I would have preferred a room in which I could have opened the windows for a bit of fresh air

The only negative was that the curtains weren't blockout or big enough for the windows and let a lot light in.

The downside was that the windows didn’t open and fresh air is impossible.

We had an issue with curtains in our room and it wasn’t resolved until the last night of our staff.

The air con is great it was very hot during our stay and the windows don't open ( safety I think,).

It was not possible to open the windows which I found a bit claustrophobic.

I'd requested in advance a room with a bath and full length windows and that's what we got.

even though it looked out onto a main street, the thick glass in the window ensured a peaceful nights sleep.

Windows cannot be opened, what I personally do not like in a hotel.

I have rated it 5 stars, I'm sure others will disagree, some draw backs before I say the very good stuff, the air con in the room is regulated at 21.5 and is only adjustable by 1.5 wither way, not really that good as we like to sleep in a cold room and the windows don't open that is the only negative I have to say.

You can't open the windows - only airconditioning.

There is air con in the room,  and the windows do not open.

Unfortunately, as in many European hotels, there was no shower curtain, so taking a shower flooded the entire bathroom floor with water.

though I had to have aircon on at all times as windows don't open.

Double Tree has a great breakfast; the executive lounge and sauna facilities were great.

The service in the executive lounge was suddenly reduced to 2 hours (6-8pm).

Including pool, spa, executive lounge and so on.

We were upgraded to the executive room with access to the executive lounge.

Executive rooms give access to the Executive lounge -  snacks (biscuits, fruit, nuts, tortilla chips) and soft drinks tea/coffee available all day.

The executive lounge has great food and drinks.

Our stay here was very nice especially with the executive lounge access.

Executive Lounge had good hors d’oeuvres and 2 entrees.

The executive lounge is open for both breakfast and evening cocktails, plus staying open until 11pm with bottled water, soft drinks and tea for those late work nights.

Starting with a friendly simile at a reception desk, followed by a warm personal welcome, to home hospitality in executive lounge.

We had the luxury of the Executive Lounge which was great, food and drink replenished constantly.

The executive lounge on the 2nd floor was quite large and there was a good choice of foods and beverages.

I paid extra for a better class room with access to the executive lounge.

Nice feature was the access to the executive lounge with cold drinks and coffee.

The executive lounge is a nice feature space and has an excellent breakfast.

They worked to get my room ready and allowed me to wait for a little while in the executive lounge.

The hotel itself is very new, and has an Executive Lounge, and a fitness/spa area.

Access to the Executive Lounge is a definite benefit as it not only gives you free breakfast (although they do try hard to get you to pay for the normal breakfast),

A look to the hotel building from outside raises already the expectation for a modern style.

In case you want something new, minimalistic and modern and you are tired of aristocratic ultra luxury Monopol hotel, this Doubletree is a perfect choice.

Modern hotel, located a 10 minute walk away from the market square.

The inner courtyard was dull - lacked the modern planting schemes seen elsewhere in Wroclaw so you just peer across at other businesses - the Pinta bar for example.

Sixt car rental office in lobby. The “clean” modern design means there aren’t enough towel racks or places to put things in the room, other than the stock (!)

It is part of a complex with adjoining excellent restaurants and bars and is opposite a modern mall which has a very useful Carrefour Express.

The rooms were very modern and massive, with a super comfortable bed and a really big bathroom.

The Hotel has a modern style and is well prepared to welcome also bigger groups and for business events/conferences

They’re also nicely decorated, very modern and equipped with all typical appliances a traveller may need 

2) Overall cleanliness level - this factor is typically high on my list of hotel assessment criteria.

For the wish list: possibility to cast video from you phone (IOS and android) to the tv.

I also had to call housekeeping to get a bathrobe.

Ordinarily, this is not a problem, if only reception would answer the telephone when you call them from the room!!!

Tried to call reception - nobody answers that phone either.

I did not use wi-fi, because I had an internet in the phone.

Unfortunately we had a few issues and needed to ring the staff a few times.

So after breakfast we attempted to use our phones to locate the address for the sporting event centre so we could book the Uber cab - unfortunately the address was a bit confusing.

By the way, if you're asking a taxi for a ride to the hotel you might want to call it the Hilton as that's how folks seem to know it.

The staff are amazing, I left my phone in a taxi on the way back to the hotel, and despite it not being their problem, they took on the job of tracking down the cab and getting my phone back to me.

You cannot order food to your room, unless you order from the room service menu, which is poor :(

The bathroom - really poor: small and badly equipped.

There’s an added benefit to this hotel, which is that in the same building you have a selection of restaurants, some of which are pretty good (e.g., Campo)

In my view, if you’re after a simple, comfortable stay and don’t need to bask in the luxuries of much more expensive hotels, this is a good choice

One more thing: restricting when kids can and cannot swim in the pool is quite poor policy if you ask me.

but not good walk for caring luggages, due to a poor road condition.

Were it not for the poor air conditioning I'd have given this place 5.

The food in the executive lounge is not exciting, due to a poor cooking style and lack of attention to details (e.g., how is it possible to eat French cheese if there is no bread ?).

Located right next to Dominikanska shopping mall, and the Rynek City mall / Market area, this hotel has a nice Sauna and Swimming Pool.

What I really loved was the elvator to the spa and pool.

The hotel has a free gym and pool & also has an area where they offer spa treatments (massages, manicures, pedicures, etc) at pretty reasonable prices.

Hotel PURO Old Town is a great place to stay in Wrocław - wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, perfect location (lots of great places to eat and drink, close to the Old Town), very cosy and clean rooms.

We were only surprised thst the bathroom had walls from glass so no privacy.

I agree the glass walled bathroom feels strange at first

The bathroom was completely clear glass which I didn’t like.

One mark knocked off a full house because we ached terribly after the holiday because the bed is so spongy and unsupportive and also because the glass bathroom is pointless and just serves style over substance.

The curtain for the shower room needs to be adapted so it goes round the glass for full closure especially if you are sharing with someone and you need to use the toilet fully then they would have to stay in the bedroom part whilst you do your thing!

The only issues was the bathroom and bed is separated by a glass wall and here is an automatic sensor to turn the lights on for the bathroom at night , so hard to go to the bathrobe without waking your partner.

In the room it's a it's a bit weird to see the toilet/bathroom trough to the glass wall,

Rooms too small, bathrooms with visible glass that does not allowed privacy even between a couple in the same room.

The only gripes we had with the room were that the bed was extremely uncomfortable, it was very spongy and soft and the clear glass all around the bathroom isn't ideal.

but first stopping at the Ipad control and then creeping into the bathroom and hoping that the glass wall/door will be enough to keep your actions quiet and under wraps.

In fact all bathrooms  have glass walls that look directly in the bedroom.

Only complaint is that I wasn't a fan of the glass bathroom, you really have no privacy whatsoever.

The bathroom  is all glass which makes it feel bigger and more open you still have a door and a curtain so don't worry still privacy!!

WiFi was very good and as others have mentioned, everything is controlled by a tablet so with all the mod cons, can’t understand how they don’t have any English tv stations or free Netflix.

From the good stuff, the room had a very nice view, was modern and stylish, the bed was very comfortable.
