It's so convenient for the centre of Oxford with a bus stop just outside.

but the bus stop is right in front of the hotel, so it is very convenient and quiet at the same time - exactly what I was looking for.

Close to centre with local bus stop outside (or cheap cab).

There is a bus stop outside (6) which takes you straight into the centre in 12 minutes.

Location is good with bus stop opposite and regular buses to City Centre.

so quite easy to get to by car, and the bus stops right outside for journeys in and out of Oxford.

Best thing about the hotel is the location as it is only a 1 2 minute busride from the city center and the bus stop is straight in front of the hotel, so you can leave your car on the parking lot.

Bus stop very nearby for going into Oxford  was great and the Leisure Club was very good.

The location is an easy bus ride to Oxford city centre (bus stop located down the road to the left of the hotel entrance) I would recommend this over driving to Oxford as the parking there is very difficult.

For a short city break it's a great location, regular buses from a stop across the road into the centre if Oxford, perfect.

The view from my window was looking at heaps of moss on the roof and the guttering lying broken as well, no seal on the bottom of the glass shower door on the bath and all the water going on the floor which was totall disgusting under the wooden panel on the side of the bath

Room was small, the bathroom was almost unworkable because of the small size and was simply too dangerous for my wife to attempt to get in the shower in the bath as the few square centimetres of space involved closing the door and almost tripping over the toilet to get in the bath.

The other guests seemed to spend a large portion of the night opening and closing main room doors - the door to the rooms slam very loudly when you close them and the sound travels throughout would be much better if they had soft closing.

The building site next door which starts early in the morning was noisy.

but fine 

A few downsides: 

- the bathroom light is very bright and the door frosted glass so it can wake everyone up in the middle of the night 
- air conditioning was temperamental and blew hot and cold 
- breakfast is very average - quality of the sausages, bacon etc is not great.

I have never stayed in a room were you can hear next door that clearly

Lastly, the door lock failed and only on getting 3 replacement cards and a while waiting in a corridor with post swimming kids did it occur to the staff to replace the door lock batteries.

Double doors were ok as long as their was 2 people  (one to open )
When we got to reception we asked where can we get somthing to eat and drink  to be told we couldn’t access the area as the lift was broke 

Sadly, the bathroom was pokey and the door was frosted glass, and if you needed to use the bathroom during the night, the light from the bathroom woke up the family.

Sat on the toilet knees a foot away from the bathroom door looking down at cracked tiles with missing grout .

In the second room the door didn’t lock at all so we had to move again.

Bathroom was tiny with a frosted glass door.

Reception requiring notification to clean the room despite notes being provided to hang on the door (so no clean towels, cups, emptied bins for a 3 night stay).

however the bathroom was small with frosted glass door, right next to the bed so not much privacy.

Breakfast was a bag left outside your door in the middle of the night if you requested it.

Really bad experience, poor service, appalling breakfast bag left outside room door.

but the left a bag at 6amwith one croissant and small pot of yogurt outside the door.

The only negative thing I do have to say is that dietary restrictions are not catered for fully, the bag that is put on the door was good (I have coeliac disease and have to eat gluten free food) this contained a little pot of fresh fruit, a bottle of oj, dairy free yogurt (which I didn't need

All the staff at every point of contact were very friendly and professional.

Travelled to Oxford for Work & stayed at Jurys for a night welcomed by friendly staff and shown to a comfy clean room, after work (night shift) arrived back at hotel to the extremely helpful night team (Greg & Gabriel) who were happy to assist at the late hour (4am) would definitely return & will be back soon thank you Jurys inn!

Check in quite lengthy room quite small especially the bathroom very disappointed the leisure centre was not open Christmas Day and having to pay for parking which wasn’t the case at the time of booking breakfast was pretty organised chaos and dinner in the restaurant average had better had worse overall quite disappointed with the overall experience there carpet in the room badly stained.

The price you pay for an 'on-line' bargain is I guess a room with a tiny bathroom. That said it was 'do-able'

The manager Anna and her team couldn't have gone out of their way more to ensure we had a fantastic weekend.

Super comfortable 3 day stay and very convenient to bus  park and ride into interesting Oxford and its history.

Situated just off the A34, ideal for the City centre or Blenheim Palace.

I am already from Ukraine and I have problems with payment, and also these people said that their system requests card details, and in the end they withdrew 219 pounds.

Also, he helped us register the car to avoid extra charge.

£100 charge for 18 minutes  waiting in the carpark.

Disturbed twice by housekeeping in the morning when our checkout was midday 
Evening dinner menu very limited, ordered a pie  and burger and both meals arrived around 5 mins after order placed, no way the burger was freshly cooked or the pie, Certainly not worth the price,  especially as pie was served with frozen veg.

On 3 occasions they served us drinks we didn’t order, then tried to double charge us.

The very limited selection of drinks at the bar were over priced and you were not made aware that the menu prices excluded mandatory 10% service charge that I do not recall paying at other Holiday Inns.

but later that eve I had the most terrible indigestion and in fact opened my cards and presents at 3am the next morning as I could not sleep because of the discomfort.

On checking out the following morning, we went to pay, only to be told my credit card had already been charged for both rooms,

Then we were expecting a pool for them to tell us it was closed next we are charged for breakfast which had all ready been pre paid.

Yet 5 Stella each we’ve been told that when we  leave we have to take the van as parking has now ran out.. due to my last drink being drank, on challenging management (the girl in charge behind reception, and the lad claiming to be bar manager) that surely this is wrong, us and other people in the bar  agreeing with me were asked to leave.. Because we were making a problem, when no voices were raised, and manners were still used, he couldn’t tell me his self and sent one of his friendly members of bar staff .

Having their rooms pre allocated and checked in prior to their arrival should be one of their main focuses, along with their welcome card and their points balances.

On check out, staff did not know we had already been charged a £125 pre-authorisation on check-in, surely the staff computer system should know this before charging for the room bill.

However, I did notice that there were no bedside plugs which was annoying when needing to charge items I was using whilst in bed, I'm not sure if this is like it in every room

She had tried 2 times swiping my card for 30000 gbp without my knowledge and bank declined the transaction due insufficient funda luckily.

Important for me is having outlets or power next to the bed to charge electronics overnight.

I have now received a 100GBP parking charge.

The room cards can be annoying when you get to your room only to find it didn't work.

I showed them an a letter from my employer regards additional charges and they waived the deposit.

Hotel let us park at the hotel no charge.

but during this period, I stayed alone in an executive room.

Spacious work desk and good bathroom ( executive room ) There is an outside eating area for the summer.

but if I was paying for an executive room & they had nice toiletries I like to take them with me!

Stayed here for 3 nights in mid March, having booked early in the year got a very good deal in an executive room.

They immediately apologised and upgraded me to an executive room in order to ensure i world have rest the following night.

As IHG Rewards we sometimes get an upgrade to an executive room however this stay they didn't have any free

Stayed for 1 night in an Executive room which was OK - slightly outdated with old fashioned sliding panels instead of curtains.

I recently stayed for two nights, staying in an executive room which I found very comfortable and clean.

For a small supplement, you can upgrade to an executive room and include breakfast and evening meal.

We had an executive room, which was really comfortable and we appreciated the little touches, water, crisps, chocolate etc.

Free parking is available as long as you key in your car number plate details either at the Hotel reception or in the Business Centre suite.

Free parking was a plus and the park and ride was very close and the only way to travel into Oxford for the day.

Had an overnight stay, park and ride 3mins away, free parking, staff at the hotel first class, very helpful.

A few drinks in the hotel just 5 minutes from ours, sign saying spend £10 park for free.. yet it is actually supposed to mean free parking until you’ve finished your drink!!

The hotel has free parking and 500 metres away are small mall where you can take the dinner in 4 different places.

There's plenty of free parking, provided you register your license plate on the ipad when you check in.

We chose this hotel as it has on-site free parking it’s a short walk to the Park & Ride car Park where we caught the regular bus into Oxford.

Parking is free just give the staff your registration.

Free parking was included and as we were just up the road from the Park & Ride it was easy to get into the City

Despite the negatives, my stay was very comfortable, easy to access with free parking with the booking and only a 10 minutes drive away from the town centre if wanting to head in.

This is an exceptionally well-run hotel with staff who are always friendly, helpful, and willing.

Breakfast was amazing, and all staff were so lovely and friendly.

Most importantly, the staff were attentive, friendly and on hand.

Found the customer service to be exceptional - nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were all very friendly and polite.

Very outdated , slow check in , rooms - below average for the price , just not what the Holiday Inn advertises !

Make sure you register your car for parking with reception to avoid a very expensive charge.

Result for Holiday Inn -  In return for your ridiculous parking charge I've just relocated three business meeting room events we had planed to host at other UK Holiday Inns in late Q1 2022.

Their prices are extortionate, give this place a miss, unless you got money to burn.

The cost of the room for 1 night was well over £250.

As some of the recent reviews suggest this HI is not to usual standards given COVID requirements together with higher prices.

As we booked through a third party, the pricing was clear - our biggest general frustration with Holiday Inn is the lack of clarity on pricing.

I pointed out the signs which said I had to pay and the receptionist said it was nothing to do with her.

but my  pet hate no plugs by the bedside 

Reception did call my room to say she forgot to register my car but by this time I was in bed and too late 

No mention of paid breakfast I may have gone for this option 

Will not stay again better 4* around with better facilities 

My average rate was 111 so not cheap

Beware, this hotel chain has a deceptive pricing strategy.

This was booked by someone else for me and we believed paid for.
