Outdated decor, dirty carpets and maintenance issues.

That said, the room (and in particular the bathroom) looked a little tired and it felt like it is due a refresh.

It’s dated run down and just felt a bit dirty there was nothing really good about my stay.

but decor, especially carpets, doors and walls need a major upgrade.

I wasn’t disturbed by Road or any other interior noise.

Room was dirty and looked generally tired and worn.

Dirty, worn carpets, which were stained and not vacuumed properly, uneven so trip hazard.

Probably the worst and most dated Travelodge I have been to!

I can get behind the outdated decor and unhelpful staff

Our room was dingy and shabby, overlooking the rubbish bins outside.

Was shoved in the annex old fashioned and out dated room 
Mouldy bathroom - smelt damp - no net Curtain or blind so poor lighting as had to close curtains.

Corridors were musty and smelt unpleasant 
Carpets dirty and faded both in corridors and rooms 
Rooms need upgrading windows dirty and need repair 
Bathroom dated and lots of black mould along shower edges and grout 
Bathroom porcelain not well cleaned certainly not to a standard you expect in hotel post covid times 
Thankfully for us it was just somewhere to sleep for the night and the bed linen etc was fine

My room was dated and uninviting and again the carpets were stained and faded.

Secondly you walk down corridors smelling of weed and in desperate need of a clean to restore them to their original colour.

The shower has no water pressure 
There was no soap in the dispenser 
The new hand towel was still wet when I checked in 
The bath needs a good clean

No power source by the bed which is quite annoying 
Horrible lighting 

There’s a massive mirror in front of the bed which is just a horrible design flaw 

You can hear every noise I listened to someone coughing all the way down the corridor and back

All in all it’s just very grim.

Tired; dirty room, not cleaned or bed made.

Staff and cleaners were also very noisy in the morning

The room was worse, hadn't been cleaned in weeks it appeared, the bathroom was rank and no soap to wash your hands with.

We saw a round robotic vaccum cleaner in the hallway which you not only have to avoid stepping on

The room was dirty - blood in the bathroom, mold on the ceiling, dirty carpets, filthy TV remote control, the bedsheet had stains on it, and the window ledge had not been cleaned. 2.

Hotel needs an update and the room especially the bathroom needed to be cleaned probably, floor dirty and hair on wall.

Most uncomfortable bed - pillows like bullets - cleaner woke up the corridor at 6 am by crashing cups about - so noisy - shower was covered in lime Scale - spend another 20.00 and stay in the holiday in.

The room should have been fully cleaned and a risk assessment should always be done in each room.

Room never cleaned properly just ignored.

There was some mold in the bathroom, the mugs were a bit dusty with  a hair in one and the room could have been a bit cleaner.

The man dealing with it spilled coffee all over the computer and desk and had to clean it up.

Perhaps less effort into blocking genuine reviews on Trip-advisor and more effort into cleaning?

but not fully cleaned in the bathroom, all the fittings in there again looked like they needed a revamp.

The toilet bowl was also stained which again looked like it had been cleaned properly for a while.

At 11:00 the cleaner knocked and let herself in.

Mirrors had designs left from previous occupant which showed when fogged up, so obviously not cleaned.

The bath had hair and dirt in it like it had not been cleaned after the previous guests.

Also top of curtain rail seems gas never been cleaned.

but needs tidying up (vegetation growth) and possibly a new surrounding wall.

This Travelodge is well located with easy access to Oxford Park and Ride.

but impressed with the quiet location of my room.

Location is good as next to the Pear Tree park and ride so it was easy for us to visit Oxford.

The price was good and the location was good with access to food nearby and along the road.

Very good location, great links into Oxford and simple to get to.

but was a decent location for transport links into oxford as this was the main purpose of our visit

Room was basic and clean, with everything we needed for an overnight stay - we were visiting Blenheim Palace the following day, so ideally located.

Great location for using the park and ride bus service into the city.

It’s in a good location with options for food near by at the services.

We were exhausted after a few poor night's sleep in other locations and the team put us in a lovely quiet room, top floor at the back.

This is a great location next to park & ride.

The location was ideal for us as only a few minutes away from our venue.

Typical Travelodge, ok location, room was nice and quiet.

The location of this hotel is ideal for a stay over in the middle of a long journey, personally i couldnt imagine staying here for a holiday,

The peartree travelodge is in a great location for easy access to Oxford & Park and Ride which is reasonable and fantastic service.

Conveniently located for the Peartree park and ride to get to and from the centre.

On thé up side, it’s a great place for a stop over if you are going into the city and the park and ride next door is cheap and reliable.

Well situated and a lovely team running the hotel, short walk to the park and ride for easy access to Oxford a little aged for a travel lodge

The Park and Ride (300 bus service) is on the next plot and two people can get a return to Oxford city centre for £5 (as of Oct 2022) and teh last one back (in the week is 23:28 from outside Tesco on Magdalen Street) so you have options.

Close by is a frequent bus service into Oxford and an excellent Park and Ride facility.

Oxford park and ride really close and easy to use.

Great for park and ride if you want to go into Oxford.

The hotel is right next door to the Oxford park and ride.

Its also much better priced than Oxford Central, an easy £2 Park and Ride for 20 minutes saved me about £40!

even though you pay for so many days this car park is sometimes full?

It is situated on a service station so there is a welcome break cafe, Starbucks and Waitrose right across the car park.

Oxford Peartree is very conviently next to a Park and Ride into Oxford.

Peartree is a very convenient base for us being next to the Park & Ride with good parking and very reasonably priced.

Very easy to get to the town centre as the park and ride is next door.

but the park and ride was £4 for 24 hours.

Comparing this hotel to other Traveloge hotels, it has poor air circulation and is old.

location good for road links , facilities poor vending machine only which was very poor for choice , parking difficult get there early , EV charging none !!

but Travelodge as a company don't provide hand soap, shampoo or body soap as a utility, so this is a poor excuse for hygiene and not something you want to deal with for more than one night.

Bathroom was very dirty - bath sealant very black and in very poor condition.

Travel lodge is charging premium prices for poor quality.

Deliberate policy to prevent sufficient Hotels, & those which are constructed have poor facilities, Eg   no lifts even with 3 floors, poor air conditioning, insufficient parking  etc ).

but that poor girl could have done without it.

Breakfast very poor quality and  value - better sat Shell Deli2Go adjacent to motel.

The taxi provision is very poor and should be looked into

Overall, a poor hotel in need of a much needed total refurbishment.

This coupled with poor quality doors with old latch locks did not leave us feeling secure.

Was very disappointed at the poor standard in this hotel.

Shame that there is no where to eat as the services are pretty poor (No choice) and quite expensive.

low cost if booked well in advance  The only let down is the free wifi and poor parking machines

This hotel is very poor, the reception is bare and uninviting, the  general corridor were not clean looking with stained carpets and a funny smell.

but clean,great comfy bed,superkingsize,quiet,3 minutes walk to park and ride,only 10 minutes on bus into oxford,bus every 10 minutes till about 11.pm,£4.50 24hour ticket,blenhiem palace 5 miles away

I stayed for 2 nights and my room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

It was a very pleasant stay, clean room and lovely staff, especially Marcia who was really friendly and very helpful.

Splatters of spilled fizzy pop all over the walls and picture hanging above the bed with grime, finger smudges and dirt smeared across it.

The first thing we noticed was a tarantula sized spider on the wall next to the bed.

Wooden walls in the bathroom had soaked up water and warped.

but the only 2 problems is that there was hair in the bathroom wall and it was absolutely boiling when we went into the room.

Sealant was also used to hide cracks between wall and ceiling - dear oh dear.

Walls were splattered with liquid - several stains running down the walls.

There were brown smudges on the wall (yuck) and we won’t ever go back.

Room was dirty and smelled, te stains over the walls, clearly no management inspection

A wall panel by the sink was also falling down.

Cobwebs and dirty walls in bedrooms, in addition to stained bed sheets.

The various colors of mold in the bathroom, from bright Orange, on the walls around the shower or Black mold around the Bath top?

dirty chair, dirty bathroom, toilet flush broke after one use & mouldy wall.

though someone had shaved using the wall as a shaver.

The other guests were very loud and the walls were like paper so we could hear everything, especially in the hallway when people were getting back from nights out drunk and excited.

The hotel is dirty inside and out, rooms are dated with coffee and blood up the walls, bath was dirty.

We then also noticed that parts of the walls were dusty too.

The corridors to the rooms were scruffy, carpets stained and walls laden with marks.

What a well run hotel, very clean and with great staff.

Staying in the hotel a number of times in the last few months, never had any issues with the facilities, always clean.

I have stayed here overnight too and the room was clean and comfy.

The food is also great and the facilities are immaculate and stylish which makes a huge difference too.

Our rooms were clean and modern and had everything we needed including a comfy ready set up for us sofa bed for the kids.

The young guy in the bar needs a little more training - when I asked for a brandy he had no idea what one was and we went through the bottles till he found one - this was done is a very pleasant way and we both had some laughs doing it - he had a great manner, was not flustered and wanted to help - he will be a great barman when he has a little more experience -

I am already from Ukraine and I have problems with payment, and also these people said that their system requests card details, and in the end they withdrew 219 pounds.

After seeing my family off and I asked the night manager if I could have a word with him.

I then asked for the bill to be added onto my room, which I was told to go and sort that at reception!

We complained at checkout and requested to see the most senior person on site, we were told to wait, after 30 mins we were informed he was too busy to see us

While I understand that rooms are not serviced due to covid, surely the request for clean towels should not be ignored.

We mentioned this to the staff and asked for the utensils to be changed - they were understanding and did so swiftly, offering us fresh egg options too.

I also asked him if they would be showing the Ruiz Jnr vs Joshua fight in the bar later.

When i asked about the pool this is being converted into extra bedroom which is a loss.

I paid online requesting also sofa bed which was fully readied with linen, blanket and extra towel -thoughtful!

On our last day they asked us for another £50 because it was £50 per night

Yet 5 Stella each we’ve been told that when we  leave we have to take the van as parking has now ran out.. due to my last drink being drank, on challenging management (the girl in charge behind reception, and the lad claiming to be bar manager) that surely this is wrong, us and other people in the bar  agreeing with me were asked to leave.. Because we were making a problem, when no voices were raised, and manners were still used, he couldn’t tell me his self and sent one of his friendly members of bar staff .

The meal was poor and when we requested another glass of wine our first choice was unavailable as was our second choice.

The staff was so rude when asked about this.

although machines still not working correctly so you had to put in a request for a cappuccino. Having spent a very rainy day in Oxford (not the Holiday Inns fault I know!)

I was asked if I wanted to open a tab, though.

She had asked me on check in what we were doing for the week end and I told her moving onto another hotel for my birthday celebrations.

waited 10 mins or so then asked the waitress how long it would be.

Only one issue, on the first evening we were not individually asked our room numbers, the whole bill was charged to the one person who had given his number.

The dining room staff, especially Hannah,  were friendly and welcoming and always served us well - and we always enjoyed the meals.

The hotel was comfortable and spacious and the food very tasty.

The staff from John on reception, Reece in the restaurant and the breakfast team was great, they really made us feel welcome and went that extra mile.

We explained we just wanted a nice dinner.

I found myself in the Peartree Holiday Inn this morning, on the hunt for some breakfast (as the Travelodge opposite had no food amenities).

Both breakfast and evening food was delicious, bar was comfortable and very relaxing.

Comfortable rooms very nice bar restaurant.

Just stayed again last week (to visit Blenheim food fayre) and all work completed and looking very good.

What particularly impressed our group of 5 was the breakfast/mornings and the food available.

Plenty of room in the bar or the restaurant to dine and relax.

The bar lady at no time saw any alcohol from us that was not bought at the bar.

Breakfast offered a good range of food options and was included in our room rate.

The hotel restaurant was very clean, tastefully presented the food was excellent and plentiful and again the staff very attentive, a special mention has to be made for Latifa  for her very pleasant, efficient and friendly service along with the reataurant mangager both of whom went above and beyond to make our anniversary meal that bit special.

The reception, dinning & bar areas are fresh, smart & inviting, and whilst the rooms could do with the same makeover, they are as expected in a Holiday Inn, comfortable & great for a short break.

but Kevin on Reception very kindly and efficiently helped us to complete parking arrangements and checked when our room would be available.

Our room was very clean and in very good repair - no grotty sealant around the bath etc.

the night manager asif was extremly polite and welcoming, he explained where our rooms were and stuff about the bar well, will defo be coming back.

The rooms and bed were comfortable and we slept well.

Superb facilities, comfortable rooms and every member of staff was without fail, cheerful, helpful and professional; a really great team.

but during this period, I stayed alone in an executive room.

Bed comfy, room clean, toiletries weren’t individual packs - large ones stuck to the wall, I like the idea

The room was very clean and the bedding was symmetrical and soft.

Cannot fault the cleanliness of the rooms or the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

but the eggs had been out a while and were hard but when my wife asked for more it was no issue and promptly sorted - getting toast is a bit of a long winded affair as the toaster is slow - I had time to put the world to rights with another guy waiting.

Very outdated , slow check in , rooms - below average for the price , just not what the Holiday Inn advertises !

but the service was very slow even considering the hotel seemed quite full.

but very badly managed, examples:
- not enough bar staff in the evening ( dirty tables and slow service)
- we ordered food in our room, it was really slow, and cold when it arrived
- no restaurant staff in the morning (three white shirted managers looking panicked and not helping)
- front desk staff that were a little overwhelmed

If you are not going into Oxford in the evening, there is no option other than a motorway service station to the hotel, so plan carefully!!

They seem far too under staffed to me and the service is painfully slow.

Check in was a bit slow as there was a queue and I overheard staff said the hotel was full.

Check in was very slow, only one member of staff on desk when we arrived at 2.30 and waited about 15 minutes and then another girl came on to help.

HI still provides basic WIFI which is quite slow, and still charges extra for higher quality WIFI which is a shame.

but service was really slow & the restaurant was not even busy.

20 minute wait for a very average breakfast with slow service and just warm coffee.

Check out was slow, and needs speeding up.

but a bit slow even for browsing the web.

Was Oxford half marathon on so some roads closed off so bus a bit slow. Waited over 20mins on the way back for a bus

Check in very slow as only one staff member.

but perfectly edible if a bit slow to arrive.

The bathroom door did not close and the hand basin was slow to empty, and the carpet smells of Athletics Foot, and needs a good shampoo, as it stinks of feet.

The bathroom door wouldn't close properly, the sink was slow to drain and the handle that changes bath to shower was broken !
