I could hear my next-door neighbors through the bathroom vent,

The only minor room complaints were (1) the room was dark with only 3 lights in the entire room and (2) the bathroom fan was loud and did not turn off when you turned off the bathroom light.

The window has what I think is a really effective two-tier blind arrangement by which you can regulate the amount of light coming into your room.

Only problem we had was a noisy baseboard  heater.

The challenge in my opinion is that the room furniture is showing its age, room was dark and with the desk next to the AC (without a way to control the direction of blow) was impossible to utilize.

Upon check in, i found that they had put an oxygenator in my room and cranked up the A/C.

I switched the unit to constant fan and hardly noticed the AC kicking in.

but, unfortunately, our room next door was smoking and a bunch of rooms across the hall were smoking as well, so the smoke goes through the vents and it resulted in a moldy, smokey room.

The AC/heating unit was a tad noisy and cycled often.

The one downside is you can't make the fan run constantly while the air conditioning is on.

We didn't complain about the air conditioning that needed to be turned to 60 to get any coolness in the room, or about the tv in the bedroom that only had a few channels because most of them said "no signal".

The room stank of smoke and even after leaving the ac on while we had dinner and shopped it was still bad.

We encountered a minor issue with the heating system which the hotel took care of promptly.

And, strangely the carpeting in the entire room was unusually damp and the air conditioning failed on upstart.

At times I felt like I was in a room in Trump Plaza in AC

Apparently there was an issue with the heater - and that was a disappointment after 10+hrs on the road.

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the price was right.

Excellent staff, clean room- enjoyed the experience.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and fresh.

They have clean rooms, and it's a nice, convenient place to stay.

Our room was clean and comfortable and the housekeeping staff that we encountered were very pleasant.

Our rooms were both immaculate and comfortable.

From the location- in the midst of shopping and dining- to the cleanliness of the room to the professional service at check in- this property is perfect.

However, the first room I was given smelled of masked smoke, as did the second, which I accepted because it was a little less smoke and more mask and because I'd given up: I'm not the complaining type and figured they were trying their best and there was no point smelling a third room.

My initial room had a cigarette smell, and I requested to change rooms.

The non-smoking room smelled of old cigarettes, as did the hallway.

My main disappointment was that the hallway and room STANK of cigarette smoke,

Our room was very clean except the wall mirror in the living room was filthy.

but the helpful staff came through and got rid of the strange odor in our room.

I did have a light bulb burn out in my room and they fixed it while I was out and left me a Hershey bar with a note saying it was fixed.

The room smelt horrible and the odor went into my clothes.

We will never stay in a smoking room again.

Then I had to move again because of an extended stay so I was given a smoking room only because there were no other rooms available.

We had a slight smell on one side of the bedroom (we were in a non-smoking room).

The one complaint I do have is being placed in a smoking room.

At check in, they told us we'd been assigned a smoking room. Ummm.

My room had the smell of deferred carpet maintanence and the furniture is showing signs of wear.

but was assured it was a non-smoking hotel.

Honestly, we spent fewer than five hours a night in the room, as the smell was rank.

but every day I used it, and every day it smelled like vomit, despite a sign indicating it had just been mopped, a sign which remained there all five days.

The smell of chlorine was so overwhelming that you could tell they were trying to keep up with any mold or fungus growth.

The Hotel 4th floor and our room reeked of what smelled like cigarette smoke.

Gross bathroom had bloody bodily fluids dried on shower walls and curtain and used coffee filter in coffee maker.

The hot tub was filthy and indoor pool was a cold as ice.

but it was also in a smoking hall which smelled like cigarettes and was a bit gross.

I wish the hotel was totally non-smoking.

After asking to switch rooms we were informed of a leak,they were awear of already of the smell.

Bed sagged, wallpaper was hanging off, bathroom needed a gut reno and power strip with all appliances plugged in didn’t scream safe.

The furniture and carpet were stained, the door would not close without slamming it, the bathroom door would not close, there was rust at the bathtub and toilet drains, and mold in the bathrooms.

The rooms are spacious the bathroom is a little dated

but gave 4 stars because the washroom in our room was very small.

Room need some maintenance especially in bathroom.

Some bathrooms are very small, so if you are a larger person you may want to ask for a larger one.

The room was dirty,peeling wallpaper,drip marks on the walls of the bathroom and furniture that was so worn we didnt want to sit on it.

The bathroom sink had no drainage stopper so you could accidentally drop something in it.

It's just an old hotel that could use a bit of investment -- a new tub without rust, thicker windows to keep out street noise six stories below, etc.

The room was very small and you practically had to back into the bathroom it was so small.

As a historic city hotel the rooms are not huge and the bathroom is rather tiny

The en suite tub in the room was falling apart and dirty.

Just know that the hotel is over 100 years old, so don't expect modern amenities and furnishings.

Anyway, for me, nothing detracted from my first favorable impression of the bathroom.

The gravity of the drain hole was extreme and captured several toothpaste tube tops--lost forever.

I used the bathroom, which again, was a challenge to get in.

Need to remember the hotel is 100 years old so the bathroom is small and the appointments follow suit.

Clean rooms, helpful staff, fast and easy to check in and out.

Our queen room was neat, clean and had a good view of the mountains.

Excellent hotel - clean room, great staff, delicious breakfast, and a central location.

The service was great, the breakfast was amazing and the room was really clean.

The rooms are immaculate and warm, the front desk service  is exceptional.

Although the room was clean I felt the carpet could use a good shampooing and bathroom shower a bit more attention.

We love the warmth and historic feel of the hotel, the clean rooms, and the staff is second to none.

On the plus side,   the rooms seemed clean.

Room are very clean and spacious, well appointed too.

The shower is so small; anyone that is not skinny is not showering in there.

I just have one complaint, the toilet in the bathroom was to small.

but had plenty of space (bathrooms are small, this hotel is old!).

Although our room seemed more modern than the others, the bathroom was small and had a low drop ceiling.

SOME of the bathrooms are a bit small, as this is a Historic Hotel and back in the day folks didn't require 475 square feet of bathroom space.

but the bathroom was very small and the sink area left no room to put even a tooth brush on the counter because there was no counter.

We were transferred to another room that was better in that it didn’t smell.

This best western is filthy, very old and I would not touch one item in it.

I accidentally touched it and it was disgusting.

My room was musty and there was mildew on the shower.

Only complaints were that the hallway (8th floor) had a bad smell and the bathroom lighting is really bad/dark.

Also our room had  a very musty smell and there were not two queen beds, one was clearly a portable double nowhere near big enough for two people to sleep in.

The room smelled strongly like stale smoke, we could hear the conversations going on in rooms on either side.

There was no residual cigarette smoke in any part of the hotel that we were in which was a bonus considering how old the hotel is.

Though the hotel is non-smoking, we found many people smoking in the loading dock, which is only separated by one door from the entrance hallway.

And 3rd this is a non smoking hotel and it smelled so bad of stale smoke and fresh weed.

This blatant disregard for the safety of guests and patrons as well as Pennsylvania law is absolutely disgusting.

Motel like appearance takes away from the hotel and musty smell in the hall way does not help.

however the rooms did not look like the pictures on the website and had a musty old smell.

In front of me there was a gentlemen who had an issue and the staff checking breakfast cards proceeded to talk about him when he left and call him very nasty names in front of me.

This place was unsanitary-filthy, had a terrible odor, everything about it was down-right DISGUSTING & CREEPY.

I left a comment card with these concerns after my second stay

The only downfall to the stay was the  hotel staff did not recognize me as a silver rewards  member and charged me for a bottle water where other hotels do not.

The cancellation was part of the move and the other hotel billed us a no show.

we were not charged for an extra car, and given the option of a late check out without asking or being charged.

As a Hilton Honors member I was informed that while receiving credit for the stay I couldn't receive points.

I was told that I had to use the original card.

but after traveling 4 hours and already going back down once when key card did not work, we just wanted to go to sleep.

She knew they could figure it out later without my credit card being charged a second time.

There was no extra charge for the switch and the rollaway.

The hotel aas clean and the rooms spacious.

Room was clean, bed was comfy, basic amenities in bathroom.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable with great beds.

I was pleasantly surprised by the staff's friendliness (this included housekeeping), the large room and how clean it was, and my overall experience was great.

The room was as clean as I've ever seen in a hotel.

The room was very clean, no smells, had a comfortable bed and bedding, a quiet a/c unit (I hate it when they buzz and rattle), and a large decently comfortable couch to relax on.

I arrived to my room after check in to find the toilet bowl disgustingly stained and the room reeked of cigarettes.

Carpet was disgusting in the halls as well as the rooms.

Pool and hot tub needed shocked as chlorine smell was over powering.

1 complaint, they tried to cover up previous smoking with aerosols instead of using an ozone machine.

I think the air/heat unit needs a new filter (dusty smell when it comes on).

I tried the gym and left to walk the trail instead as the gym was smelly,  stuffy and needs equipment fixed.

Upon arrival in our room, there was a funky odor that was bad.

Floors in the bedroom and bathroom both were filthy.

Our room had a leaking air conditioner and the smell of must and accommodated for it in a very professional manner.

The heating system worked very well, and there was no "stale" odor, like in many other hotel rooms.

100% smoke free is something I am willing to pay extra for, and the breakfast is a step above the average "free breakfast".

As the hotel is new, I was shocked to gag at a permeating bad smell.

If you book and expect amenities such as a fridge and one is not in your room, call the desk.

I was on the road for over 17 hours and just wanted a hot shower and to curl up in my bed and go to sleep.

Our room was VERY dusty - used a bleach wipe on tables and they were BLACK, lighting was poor, the bathroom door creaked, no soap, shampoo, or conditioner when we arrived.

The bathroom did not have any amenities most importantly towels and toilet paper (thankfully they delivered them promptly to the room when we called).

Toilet was clogged up when I got there and I had to get them to bring me a toilet plunger.

When we got back, there was a note to call the front desk because there was a water leak and we needed to switch rooms.

It was not firm and stable ,if you try to adjust your self the toilet  would shift it up either to the right or left so if you were flushing the toilet while  you are sitting on it the waste water will escape  to the floor ,the front desk woman whom work in the morning rude and lake of social skills and customer service.this place as heard own by indian Asian  family ,but overall  i had unpleasant experiences .if i ever

We were given a room that was not fit for guests - broken refrigerator and phone, not re-stocked with soap and water cups.

There was also, no information in the room to remind you of what the hotel offered in the way of amenities, or what any of the channels were on the tv.

Heavy shower wall was ready to fall off which is probably where the bugs were coming from.

our room had some minor damages in the bathroom & the sink was almost completely clogged with what I can only assume was beard or head shavings.

Minus:  fixtures in the bathroom were broken and the room had a slight odor.

but we had to plunge the toilet ourselves.

Our shower had pubic hair in it as if it wasn't cleaned after last people checked out.

You can hear every person walking past your room outside.

It’s old it’s dirty, loud noise untill 1 o clock at night from people partying in front of their rooms.

I purchased a King Bed room, and upon check in we were placed in a room next door to people playing loud music and chain smoking cigarettes outside, it was so loud you could hear the music in our room and the smell of cigarettes was bothering my allergies.

Oh and it is loud, you can hear everything, I was wide awake by 6:30 both days with people leaving.

I was rudely awakened around 5:30am by people talking loudly outside our room.

Noisy Air conditioner cannot turn on while sleep.

At 1:20 am, we were rudely awakened by two knocks on the door.

When I complained about noise nothing was done.

After several calls to the front desk and the clerk being threatened by these guests, they stood outside our room and declared that they would make as much noise as they wanted.

We were near the stairway and heard some noise early in the evening, so were dreading what might happen later on.

That's all I have to say noisy pool area children out of control.

but our weekend way ruined by the noise, kids with water guns and yappy dogs!

There is a family reunion with several children who are pounding on the walls, racing desk chairs up and down the sidewalk, screaming.

but their carts squeak and make lots of noise as they go up and down the sidewalk.

I sleep with a white noise generator which usually drowns out any extraneous sounds that might waken me or keep me awake.

This hotel is solid, not a lot of banging or echo's of other guests.

Location good,room clean,food good.was comfortable and felt safe.

Have stayed here many times and they are constant with how clean the rooms are and bedding and towels are always fresh.

Did not get a good feeling our room was clean and therefore did not take "advantage" of free breakfast because who knows how clean their kitchen is?

Room was clean, beds were comfortable and location was convenient, all deserving of 5/5 rating.

The assigned room stank like if there was something dead in there.

I do not give this place even one star ,first they do not offer healthy breakfast, most the things are cake covered with plastic and dry stiff  cookies covered with plastic sitting every day and no one touch it, the serial  is disgusted  and has smell ,the coffee  looked very light ,i was imagine my self drinking hot water instead drinking real coffee.i did not have paper toilet  in my room ,the shower cap was leaking water and displayed  when i was try to tight it it look old and worn,the toilet  it's  sekf was complete jok!

Filthy outside, creepy dark stairs leading to second level, breakfast area was dirty, food was tasteless and/or gross (I honestly had no idea that a waffle could be disgusting).

Be careful where you use your reward points if you are a rewards member, as you can get burned like we did! !

Room had a bad odor, terrible pillows and matress's sheets had  rips and threads hanging from them .

Gross to see towels, clothes and garbage all over esp after the rain storms.

The weather was hot and humid, and the room was damp and smelled a little musty.
