Bed sagged, wallpaper was hanging off, bathroom needed a gut reno and power strip with all appliances plugged in didn’t scream safe.

The furniture and carpet were stained, the door would not close without slamming it, the bathroom door would not close, there was rust at the bathtub and toilet drains, and mold in the bathrooms.

The rooms are spacious the bathroom is a little dated

but gave 4 stars because the washroom in our room was very small.

Room need some maintenance especially in bathroom.

Some bathrooms are very small, so if you are a larger person you may want to ask for a larger one.

The room was dirty,peeling wallpaper,drip marks on the walls of the bathroom and furniture that was so worn we didnt want to sit on it.

The bathroom sink had no drainage stopper so you could accidentally drop something in it.

It's just an old hotel that could use a bit of investment -- a new tub without rust, thicker windows to keep out street noise six stories below, etc.

The room was very small and you practically had to back into the bathroom it was so small.

As a historic city hotel the rooms are not huge and the bathroom is rather tiny

The en suite tub in the room was falling apart and dirty.

Just know that the hotel is over 100 years old, so don't expect modern amenities and furnishings.

Anyway, for me, nothing detracted from my first favorable impression of the bathroom.

The gravity of the drain hole was extreme and captured several toothpaste tube tops--lost forever.

I used the bathroom, which again, was a challenge to get in.

Need to remember the hotel is 100 years old so the bathroom is small and the appointments follow suit.

This a charming, old hotel with a great staff, comfortable beds, great breakfast, bar, and restaurant in downtown Williamsport.

Breakfast was great and huge variety to choose from.

Breakfast the next morning was included and was way better than most buffets.

There's a pool for the kids, a pub for the adults, and a real breakfast with real eggs and home-cooked food, all at a reasonable price--what more could you want?

I love the historic nature and design of the building and decor.

As others have written, this is a lovely, historical hotel.

It has many historic photos inside the building and you can get a sense of the impact that it had.

The staff has that classic old touch hospitality and looks after everyone.

but in a nostalgic way, everything functions well and it’s so convenient if you have an event at the Community Arts Center.

Rare to find a historic downtown property with secure adjascent parking.

I appreciate the historic character of the hotel and the efforts made to preserve that character.

however they doing an excellent job of keeping this classic hotel relevant.

As when I’d walked into and through the lobby, I knew I was in a memorable historic hotel.

The hotel is 100 years old and has that “old classic hotel” charm - you can see what it would have been like in all its original glory!

This is a historic hotel that was certainly interesting,

First impressions are everything and I didn't find it classy, unlike other reviewers.

Whether it's entertainment at the Community Arts Center(right next door), many restaurants nearby or shopping from clothes to Antiques.

The location downtown is fantastic, within a few blocks of many restaurants, breweries and historic sites.

I've stayed in plenty of historic hotels that were able to deliver an acceptable bathroom experience.

The room was truly more like a suite, which classic antique furniture and decorations.

Winter State Park, Street Of Shops, Rollermills Antique Center, Lewisburg Farmers Market, Fantasy Escape Room, Barnes & Noble at Bucknell University, Smiling Chameleon Draft House, Tastecraft Market, Sakura, The Miller Center for Recreation and Wellness, The Campus Theatre, Civil War Cider, Lewisburg Children's Museum, Montour Preserve, Bucknell University and Hess Field / Robbins Trail Park

Fitness room equipped with up to date equipment and was nice and clean.

But it is clean, well-maintained and in a good location.

We were there 4 days for the LLWS, and I found it to be less than clean and with deferred maintenance.

It was clean and well maintained and right across the street from vibrant night life.

The hotel rooms are spacious, clean, and the service is excellent.

but also because it's a neat hotel with a lot of character.

Housekeeping does an amazing job of keeping the place clean and tidy.

Got to our room, and you could tell as soon as you opened the door it was fresh and clean.

Location is amazing right in the downtown walkable to everything.

Close to downtown businesses and the Bullfrog Brewery.

though it is downtown, it has a free parking lot adjacent.

Location downtown is within walking distance of numerous great venues.

There is a secure parking area, a friendly front desk, nice lobby and the location is very convenient to downtown area.

Genetti is right downtown, convenient to everything, including the great Bullfrog Brewery which is just around the corner.

Located in downtown area, east to walk around.

Super clean, excellent customer service, great food, in downtown Williamsport, home of the little league world series.

Helpful staff and located within walking distance of the downtown loaded with restaurants, bars and some shopping.

Free breakfast option and free parking is very nice.

The food in the restaurant is excellent and the hot breakfast included in the room price is way better than most other hotels.

Checkin was smooth, instructions for getting to the car park (right behind the building) are clear, the parking is plentiful and free, and there are plenty of luggage carts to help get you to your room.

The complimentary breakfast is a proper buffet.

After showering and dressing, I went downstairs for the complimentary breakfast.

I trust Trip Advisor for many hotel stays and restaurants wherever I go.

Hotel has history and lots of local shops and resturants right around the corner.

The restaurant was very nice and there was a lively street concert and marketplace open all around the hotel.

Perfectly situated downtown Williamsport lots of restaurants and things to do like sidewalk shopping.

The Bullfrog Brew Pub down the street is a good place to eat and drink.

Certainly--adding to the varieties made available in these foods.

Plenty of good spots to eat as restaurants around them while still easy to get in and out even with a larger RV, Bus, trailer, etc.

Staff was above average and attentive, giving us suggestions for exceptional local restaurants and points of interest.

Kitchen closed at 9pm on a Thursday night so we walked to a place close by with great atmosphere, staff, and food.

Dinner and full breakfast buffet at hotel were very good.

Meeting rooms were spacious and our event was handled very well by staff.

Our room was very large, clean and well-appointed.

For example, the bathroom in the room was extremely cramped and the heat/AC is one of those wall units.

The check-in staff was gracious, the room was very nice and I like to see a grand older hotel (the Genetti was originally the Lycoming Hotel built in 1922) restored and well appointed.

My favorite amenitity is when i splurge for a room with a jetted tub.

Quaint rooms and sufficient amenities like coffee, refrigerator, microwave.

It had a separate room to watch TV and read.

Rooms are larger than most hotel and this low budget price point and most every local attraction is in about a 2-8 minute walk!

I have had suites, kitchenettes, and king rooms here.

If you want quiet in rooms, this is the hotel for you, thick walls.

We were told we would be in the penthouse suite,one of their best renovated rooms.

The shower is so small; anyone that is not skinny is not showering in there.

I just have one complaint, the toilet in the bathroom was to small.

but had plenty of space (bathrooms are small, this hotel is old!).

Although our room seemed more modern than the others, the bathroom was small and had a low drop ceiling.

SOME of the bathrooms are a bit small, as this is a Historic Hotel and back in the day folks didn't require 475 square feet of bathroom space.

Very tiny bathroom, and the sink is in the actual room.

but the bathroom was very small and the sink area left no room to put even a tooth brush on the counter because there was no counter.

We were transferred to another room that was better in that it didn’t smell.

This best western is filthy, very old and I would not touch one item in it.

I accidentally touched it and it was disgusting.

My room was musty and there was mildew on the shower.

Only complaints were that the hallway (8th floor) had a bad smell and the bathroom lighting is really bad/dark.

Also our room had  a very musty smell and there were not two queen beds, one was clearly a portable double nowhere near big enough for two people to sleep in.

The room smelled strongly like stale smoke, we could hear the conversations going on in rooms on either side.

There was no residual cigarette smoke in any part of the hotel that we were in which was a bonus considering how old the hotel is.

Though the hotel is non-smoking, we found many people smoking in the loading dock, which is only separated by one door from the entrance hallway.

And 3rd this is a non smoking hotel and it smelled so bad of stale smoke and fresh weed.

This blatant disregard for the safety of guests and patrons as well as Pennsylvania law is absolutely disgusting.

Motel like appearance takes away from the hotel and musty smell in the hall way does not help.

however the rooms did not look like the pictures on the website and had a musty old smell.

In front of me there was a gentlemen who had an issue and the staff checking breakfast cards proceeded to talk about him when he left and call him very nasty names in front of me.

This place was unsanitary-filthy, had a terrible odor, everything about it was down-right DISGUSTING & CREEPY.

Service was great, staff was friendly and helpful.

Clean rooms, helpful staff, fast and easy to check in and out.

Room service was offered every 3 days, and fresh towels were available if I walked to the front desk.

The local attitude was great, had a live jazz band that played for the crowd in the alley where the fun spot is.

Front desk staff is exceptional check-in process was very easy.

While this is an older hotel, it has a lot of charm and the room was equipped with a small refrigerator, nice writing desk, and a small wing chair.

Every staff member was generous with their time and acted most professionally.

We have been going to the geneti for years, the place is beautiful, the staff is great and we are never disappointed.

Breakfast area is pleasant and has typical items- scrambled eggs, make your own waffle, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal.

The only downfall to the stay was the  hotel staff did not recognize me as a silver rewards  member and charged me for a bottle water where other hotels do not.

The cancellation was part of the move and the other hotel billed us a no show.
