The ac was on a motion sensor, so it got hot overnight while you were sleeping.

Anywho, I had to leave my room for about an hour for him to replace this unit.

though it didn’t quite reach the little sitting room unless the doors were open and the bedroom side was freezing cold first.

On the minus side: a) the windows do not open and AC unit works ONLY when somebody in the room ( and even then we had trouble to have it working).

In addition to the leaking the Air conditioner it did make noise during the night

but shortly after you could hear a”dripping/splash” sound in one end of room.On checking found a one metre square area completely saturated from leaking air con.Shifted lamp& chair,turned air con OFF.The  mouldy smell by 2 Am was  very unpleasant.

FYI, no vent in the bathroom, it gets steamy.

The air conditioner was not as cold as we were wanting as it was about 99 degrees each evening outside,

Went away when AC was on and was gone by next day.

(I'll just bring a small oscillating fan to fool it).

Just a couple things to be aware of, the air conditioning/ heating unit fan is on all the time.

We had a small problem with the A/C unit dripping water in our room.

The pool area was not clean, there were kids running in and out of the fitness center un-supervised, there were never any towels, the hotel room was musty, the fridge was warm, there were no luggage carts upon our arrival, and the fitness room needed extra a/c.

The AC in our room had a loose case that made a vibrating noise when the fan was on.

While we thought that we adjusted the thermostat, the AC unit itself was turned off (we should have checked)
Breakfast area was full when we got there and the staff was overwhelmed, we felt that we will not be seated for sometime and we checked out without breakfast.

toilet had noisy 'atomic' flush, no soap dish in bathroom					
sitting room: sofabed, easy chair, small TV, work table, office chair w/arms & height adjuster, A/C had sensor detecting if room occupied & would shut off.

but too much to right and my last night there I had to move rooms at midnight due to a loud alarm noise coming from the vent.

We got our room upgraded to a suite and the room was spotless.

There were friendly staff, it’s a clean facility and the room was well appointed and cleaned daily.

Nice clean place, good food, i didn’t like the TV’s at every table in the bistro.

The hotel rooms were spotless and comfortable and the maid service was greatly appreciated.

This hotel was very clean and the hotel staff was phenomenal.!

The property is immaculately clean - from the parking lot to the room and everywhere in-between it is obvious that the staff take pride in their hotel.

Every single staff member we encountered during our two night stay were beyond friendly.

The assistant manager who checked us in (named Cesar) was very friendly.

He goes above and beyond for the hotel guests, he’s genuinely friendly, informative and helpful.

He also gave great service , was surprised he was so friendly.

Miles was also super friendly, and went out of his way for us during our stay.

Andre was server in bar - so friendly & helpful.

The location is perfect, the cleaning staff are the highlight of my afternoon and the staff is as friendly as Mr Rogers.

We ate at the hotel two evening and the food was very good with prices comparable to the area.

The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and is staffed with lovely folks full of smiles.

We enjoyed dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, Bistro 515, one night.

We even had reservations at another restaurant and canceled to go back to the Bistro at the hotel.

I was skeptical about eating at the hotel restaurant

We would definitely visit this hotel and especially Bistro 51 again

Place is always clean, and as a bonus the Restaurant in the hotel is a truly hidden treasure.

although I am very skeptical about hotel food.

The hotel does not have a complimentary breakfast, and we did not eat at the restaurant in the hotel.

The restaurant, as we have experienced before is much better than a typical hotel restaurant.

We ate in the hotel restaurant our last night and was waited on by a very pleasant and friendly young man named Wesley.

We also ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

There is a restaurant at the hotel, good food.

Restaurant at the hotel has a great breakfast, that can be purchased, on-line, for a very reasonable amount of money.

This hotel is in a great location, it’s close to Colonial Williamsburg, restaurants and amenities.

Our buffet dinner and cash bar were excellent and the staff could not have been more attentive and helpful.

Check in was seamless, and the restaurant served a fine breakfast buffet.

They gave us info on nearby sites and restaurants.

Only faulting one star because we didn’t have to eat there and will know better next time.

We did and got our food and she actually scolded us that we didn’t find her first and give her our breakfast vouchers (we had booked a rate plan that included breakfast).

We enjoyed the recommended local dining establishments as well.

but what made it the best was the food in the bar inside the hotel itself.

The evening was highlighted by Justin who single handedly ran the bar and restaurant.

Barbara and the Chef also went over and beyond to ensure a satisfactory experience with our meals.

Jan was also very helpful with great places to eat dinner.

Andre, the gentleman who works the bar and bistro is a star!

Andre from the Bistro was great , he recommenced the wings and it was great.

He explained the menu and was spot on with the chicken quesadilla.

This girl is the best to stay off your want a very personable staff and great food at Bistro 515.

From check in to check out, every staff member we encountered were super helpful and nice, especially the restaurant staff.

The staff is amazing from the front desk clerk, the workers in the Bistro and the General Manager Stefan Harrison.

She gave my fiance cards to contact the managers when he told her he wanted to commend the Chef and Staff in the Bistro 515.

Chef randy made yummy breakfast daily (good variety) and Dy Ann and Crystal were very helpful when we dined.

I travel to that area frequently and he approached me to ask why our team always goes out for meals.

We especially appreciated the restaurant staff for their friendliness and helpful nature.

We especially enjoyed the dining staff for their courtesy and willingness to please the kids!

Restaurant and front desk staff were very helpful and nice, often chatting with guests and getting to know them.

Front desk staff and restaurant staff were friendly.

Our server, Wesley, made the occasion especially memorable, guiding us through the menu and making spot-on recommendations.

The room was clean with efficient room service.

Jan gave us great recommendations for restaurants to go to and was always more than willing to answer any questions my fiancé and I had.

The servers at the restaurant were so friendly and the restaurant manager was kind as well.

The staff was great, from the front desk to the restaurant servers to the housekeeper for my room.

Mariah and Jan are very nice and the restaurant staff was great as well.

Large, open space in reception & dining area.

7 of us were split between 2 rooms and she was so sweet to my family.

The extra room is enjoyable a good sized living room and separate bedroom with a TV in each room.

If I'm ever back in Williamsburg, I will definitely be booking a room HERE.

The room was clean except for some stains that couldnt be helped.

In fact the mattresses in our room was brand new.

The room was very nice and service was excellent.

I want to particularly give praise to Jacinda, the morning Chef (she was so pleasant and accommodating) and Alisha.

Our family had an exceptional encounter with one of the housekeeping staff members.

The entire staff was very so personable and accommodating in every way!

We watched her treat every one else rudely all week and some pushed back.

however while we were there,  I asked 2 different employees to please clean up the trash that was all around the outside full trash can.

They have an extremely polite and helpful staff.

The staff and accommodations were great!!

Good breakfast selection…Andre the server was very attentive and made sure we had Everything we needed.

My Soul Sister and I wanted to get a drink and we went downstairs to the Bar.. Andre our Bartender was amazing very polite and nice customer service..

Andre was the BEST bartender I’ve ever had.

The bistro in the lobby has great servers and the Bartended Andre has be like family.

My stay at the holiday inn in the Williamsburg va area has been the best experience thanks to andre bartender.

Samantha is always the consummate hostess that had a smile that always brighten your day or night.

The staff was AMAZING especially our night time bartender!

The servers were also very good and attentive.

Ours waitresses Julie and Stormy were very attentive and super sweet.

Julie & Stormy, our servers took great care of us and we did not want for anything.

Chef Randy provides some of the best seafood around & the bartender, Samantha, made sure we had a great time every night we dined in & made sure our drinks were never empty!

Server Julie & Chef Randy made the weekend getaway that my hubby & I took very special.

Sam our bartender provided excellent service and was such a delight!

And Sam the bartender is always friendly and up for a conversation while making the best drinks.

The Kids Eat Free rules seemed to change depending on the server (but they are willing to "work" with you, and the servers were the best part of the hotel).

Stop in the little bar and meet a very knowledgeable bartender named Jerry who knows a LOT about local and national craft beer and wine.

I’ve went to the bar a few times and Shelia is the best bar tender I’ve ever had, she is energetic, outgoing and makes sure she meets your needs and always comes back to check in on her customers and very professional and interacts with all her customers!

Another superstar was Shelia (pronounced Sheila, she has a story) the bartender.

Great location for visiting Williamsburg attractions and restaurants and it is about 50mimutes drive from Richmond and Virginia Beach which we decide to visit during our stay, I would definitely recommend staying at Manor Club and hope to visit the area again.

The decor was lovely; the dining and TV area were set up to comfortably seat 6.

The hotel is a big, beautiful hotel on a gorgeous campus with a nearby golf course and convenient areas to walk safely and comfortably.

Located in a very nice area and near everything.

If you're looking to stay in something upscale without breaking the bank and be convenient to everything the area has to offer.

Room was spotless and front desk area was safe and careful.

Ford Colony is a great choice if you’re visiting the area.

The grounds are well kept and the architecture fits nicely with the colonial area.

If we are in the Williamsburg area again, we would definitely consider staying at this hotel.

The TV was great for football and the sitting area was large and comfortable.

Again, a big difference from Kingsmill, where the pool area was trashed most of the time.

Area was extremely quiet, great walking trails, clean pool facilities.

They have two pools, a fitness area, and walking trails on the grounds.

Due to covid, I cleaned all the high touch areas myself,

All in all we really enjoyed this resort and the unique attractions in the surrounding area.

Perfect stay at the Manor Club.Accomodations were wonderful and the location is great for visiting The Colonial Areas as well as Busch Gardens.It is also quite close to restaurants and shopping outlets and specialty shops.

Room was a good size with a small kitchenette area with sink, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster.

We had a two bedroom unit - it was in great condition and very clean.

Villa was clean and very comfortable it  had full kitchen which was well equipped and plenty of supplies(dishwasher tablets, bin bags, kitchen roll etc), washer and dryer was located just off one of the bedrooms.

Our two bedroom unit was nicely appointed, clean and very comfortable.

The room was sparkling clean, everything worked, and all necessary amenities supplied.

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, updated and furnished with all of the amenities that we needed.

The rooms were perfect so spacious and clean.

My bride of 40+ years is a stickler for cleanliness and she loved it.

In addition to to large immaculate rooms they have swimming pools, sprinklers for the kids, lovely tennis courts and pickle ball courts basketball courts Shuffleboard horseshoes and more.

The 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom was big and clean.

Grounds are immaculate, and there is a beautiful walking path right next to the resort which we enjoyed every day.

The room was immaculate and decorated very nicely.

It was very clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable.

Our one bedroom villa was clean, spacious and well appointed.

The two-bedroom Villas are well-appointed, spacious, and clean.

Our place was CLEAN, spacious and super comfortable.

We thought perhaps the cleaning crew had eaten lunch in the unit thus the smell and opened the patio doors.

The granite countertop in the kitchen had a large broken area, the refrigerator door was dented in, the furniture was worn with stains, the bedside lamp didn't work because the knob had been broken off so there was no way to turn it on/off (and it wasn't even plugged in - just sitting on the bedside table with the cord wrapped/tied up for looks), and there was this terrible very loud mechanical rumble that ran continuously that was deafening, most notably in the bedroom.

but opening the door, we were hit with a very musty odor.

A shower door that would not close and crown molding that was worn and scratched were a few of the problems we encountered this time out.

The only negatives were the refrigerator door opened left to right and since counters to the right should have opened the other way.

The housekeeper was of a different race and the fearful and inordinate reaction to my understandably late wake up didn't occur until the she physically saw me when I opened the door at the first knock.

The bathroom had a door from the bedroom and one from the living area so both sides could use the bathroom independent of the other effectively turning the unit into 2.

In order to close the bathroom door, you have to first close the bedroom door - in order to open one of the closet doors, you have to close the bathroom door - not a deal-killer,

Downsides: AC doesn't appear to get cold, tub in one bathroom takes forever to drain (water over my ankles when I was done showering), and in the other bathroom the seal at the bottom of the shower door doesn't work and the floor got soaked.

only one sink, very small, and shower was extremely small with plastic floor (not tile) and rickety shower door.

So we only had the two thin doors between us.

Being from Minnesota, I was thrilled that I could even crack the sliding door a bit as the screened-in second level porch had access only from one of our two doors.

Housekeeping was excellent, we had a little "oops" in our room (someone had left a few dirty clothes behind a closet door).

One had to close the door fully at all times or one would walk into it.

Room walls were thin as we could hear the guests next door talking during the late evening time.

If someone had knocked on the door or went back to ask him to stop it would have been received better.

There was also no lock on the door that was adjoining to the rest of the unit.

Several things we found unusual for a resort of this quality:
 bedroom windows (vertical sliders) only opened about 4 inches & extremely hard to open/close
took a long long time to get hot water
only 2 chairs supplied on balcony
bathroom doors stuck & were very squeaky
had to enter 2nd bdr to access washer/dryer
living room couch & chair need replacing

Thoroughly enjoyed the location & grounds.

but when you opened the door, it emitted a strong smell of mildew.

I didn't like the bath of the second room not being behind a door,

The location was central to what we wanted to visit, and yet was very quiet, being located in a residential area surrounded by golf courses.

There are many available activities on the property from 2 pools, a playground, mini golf, an activity center with numerous game options for the kids.

Here's the great: 1) accommodating, attentive staff--big kudos especially to Xavier at the front desk; 2) beautiful grounds with lots to do: bicycle rentals, basketball, tennis, golf, arts & crafts, and even a 14-seat movie theater to watch videos with friends and family; 3) large, comfortable rooms that are clean and well-appointed.

Lovely rooms, the surrounding trees, and golf course give it a very upscale feeling.

Our two-room suite overlooked the golf course and was very private -

Hidden on a golf course as this resort is quiet.

Great walking paths and golf is available too.

My husband  did play golf and enjoyed the coarse.

Besides the golf course, the hotel has a very nice swimming pool and several sports courts.

Resort was excellent, played 2 rounds of golf, and took in some local history.

There is also a golf course and lots of walking paths.

It is in a convenient area and in a quiet location with a beautiful golf course surrounding it.

The Manor Club is surrounded by 54 Holes of golf at the Ford’s Colony Country Club and we were able to dine in their Pub/Grill (Murdoch’s) which was quite convenient as the Marriot didn’t have a full service restaurant.

Owners get six rounds of golf free when you stay here.
