The ac was on a motion sensor, so it got hot overnight while you were sleeping.

Anywho, I had to leave my room for about an hour for him to replace this unit.

though it didn’t quite reach the little sitting room unless the doors were open and the bedroom side was freezing cold first.

On the minus side: a) the windows do not open and AC unit works ONLY when somebody in the room ( and even then we had trouble to have it working).

In addition to the leaking the Air conditioner it did make noise during the night

but shortly after you could hear a”dripping/splash” sound in one end of room.On checking found a one metre square area completely saturated from leaking air con.Shifted lamp& chair,turned air con OFF.The  mouldy smell by 2 Am was  very unpleasant.

FYI, no vent in the bathroom, it gets steamy.

The air conditioner was not as cold as we were wanting as it was about 99 degrees each evening outside,

Went away when AC was on and was gone by next day.

(I'll just bring a small oscillating fan to fool it).

Just a couple things to be aware of, the air conditioning/ heating unit fan is on all the time.

We had a small problem with the A/C unit dripping water in our room.

The pool area was not clean, there were kids running in and out of the fitness center un-supervised, there were never any towels, the hotel room was musty, the fridge was warm, there were no luggage carts upon our arrival, and the fitness room needed extra a/c.

The AC in our room had a loose case that made a vibrating noise when the fan was on.

While we thought that we adjusted the thermostat, the AC unit itself was turned off (we should have checked)
Breakfast area was full when we got there and the staff was overwhelmed, we felt that we will not be seated for sometime and we checked out without breakfast.

toilet had noisy 'atomic' flush, no soap dish in bathroom					
sitting room: sofabed, easy chair, small TV, work table, office chair w/arms & height adjuster, A/C had sensor detecting if room occupied & would shut off.

but too much to right and my last night there I had to move rooms at midnight due to a loud alarm noise coming from the vent.

We got our room upgraded to a suite and the room was spotless.

There were friendly staff, it’s a clean facility and the room was well appointed and cleaned daily.

Nice clean place, good food, i didn’t like the TV’s at every table in the bistro.

The hotel rooms were spotless and comfortable and the maid service was greatly appreciated.

This hotel was very clean and the hotel staff was phenomenal.!

The room was spacious, clean and very nice.

The rooms were clean and updated (tile, granite, lighting etc.).

Very friendly staff, absolutely spotlessly clean room, excellent buffet breakfast and great location.

The property is immaculately clean - from the parking lot to the room and everywhere in-between it is obvious that the staff take pride in their hotel.

The hotel is clean, the bathrooms and rooms have many nice updates, and we felt safe.

My experience with the hotel management person David was very patient, friendly and helpful.

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was filling, and the pool was a huge hit with my child.

The staff, especially Christopher and Jan are most helpful, genuinely friendly, and enthusiastic.

Every single staff member we encountered during our two night stay were beyond friendly.

The assistant manager who checked us in (named Cesar) was very friendly.

He goes above and beyond for the hotel guests, he’s genuinely friendly, informative and helpful.

He also gave great service , was surprised he was so friendly.

Miles was also super friendly, and went out of his way for us during our stay.

Andre was server in bar - so friendly & helpful.

The location is perfect, the cleaning staff are the highlight of my afternoon and the staff is as friendly as Mr Rogers.

We ate at the hotel two evening and the food was very good with prices comparable to the area.

The hotel restaurant serves delicious food and is staffed with lovely folks full of smiles.

We enjoyed dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, Bistro 515, one night.

We even had reservations at another restaurant and canceled to go back to the Bistro at the hotel.

I was skeptical about eating at the hotel restaurant

We would definitely visit this hotel and especially Bistro 51 again

Place is always clean, and as a bonus the Restaurant in the hotel is a truly hidden treasure.

although I am very skeptical about hotel food.

Also would like to thank Roma for her great service during our meals we had at the hotel.

Breakfast was eaten at the Bistro in the hotel.

The property also has a restaurant and cocktail lounge.

The hotel does not have a complimentary breakfast, and we did not eat at the restaurant in the hotel.

The restaurant, as we have experienced before is much better than a typical hotel restaurant.

We ate in the hotel restaurant our last night and was waited on by a very pleasant and friendly young man named Wesley.

We also ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

There is a restaurant at the hotel, good food.

Restaurant at the hotel has a great breakfast, that can be purchased, on-line, for a very reasonable amount of money.

This hotel is in a great location, it’s close to Colonial Williamsburg, restaurants and amenities.

Our buffet dinner and cash bar were excellent and the staff could not have been more attentive and helpful.

Check in was seamless, and the restaurant served a fine breakfast buffet.

They gave us info on nearby sites and restaurants.

Only faulting one star because we didn’t have to eat there and will know better next time.

We did and got our food and she actually scolded us that we didn’t find her first and give her our breakfast vouchers (we had booked a rate plan that included breakfast).

Minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, restaurants and shopping.

We enjoyed the recommended local dining establishments as well.

but what made it the best was the food in the bar inside the hotel itself.

The evening was highlighted by Justin who single handedly ran the bar and restaurant.

Barbara and the Chef also went over and beyond to ensure a satisfactory experience with our meals.

Jan was also very helpful with great places to eat dinner.

Andre, the gentleman who works the bar and bistro is a star!

Andre from the Bistro was great , he recommenced the wings and it was great.

He explained the menu and was spot on with the chicken quesadilla.

This girl is the best to stay off your want a very personable staff and great food at Bistro 515.

From check in to check out, every staff member we encountered were super helpful and nice, especially the restaurant staff.

The staff is amazing from the front desk clerk, the workers in the Bistro and the General Manager Stefan Harrison.

She gave my fiance cards to contact the managers when he told her he wanted to commend the Chef and Staff in the Bistro 515.

Chef randy made yummy breakfast daily (good variety) and Dy Ann and Crystal were very helpful when we dined.

I travel to that area frequently and he approached me to ask why our team always goes out for meals.

We especially appreciated the restaurant staff for their friendliness and helpful nature.

We especially enjoyed the dining staff for their courtesy and willingness to please the kids!

Restaurant and front desk staff were very helpful and nice, often chatting with guests and getting to know them.

Front desk staff and restaurant staff were friendly.

Our server, Wesley, made the occasion especially memorable, guiding us through the menu and making spot-on recommendations.

The room was clean with efficient room service.

Jan gave us great recommendations for restaurants to go to and was always more than willing to answer any questions my fiancé and I had.

The servers at the restaurant were so friendly and the restaurant manager was kind as well.

The staff was great, from the front desk to the restaurant servers to the housekeeper for my room.

Mariah and Jan are very nice and the restaurant staff was great as well.

Large, open space in reception & dining area.

7 of us were split between 2 rooms and she was so sweet to my family.

The extra room is enjoyable a good sized living room and separate bedroom with a TV in each room.

If I'm ever back in Williamsburg, I will definitely be booking a room HERE.

The room was clean except for some stains that couldnt be helped.

In fact the mattresses in our room was brand new.

The room was very nice and service was excellent.

I have stayed in numerous Holiday Inns  and they never disappoint.A special thank you goes out to this manager- David, who went above and beyond, helpful, courteous, respectful and just a pleasure to deal with.

I want to particularly give praise to Jacinda, the morning Chef (she was so pleasant and accommodating) and Alisha.

Our family had an exceptional encounter with one of the housekeeping staff members.

The entire staff was very so personable and accommodating in every way!

We watched her treat every one else rudely all week and some pushed back.

however while we were there,  I asked 2 different employees to please clean up the trash that was all around the outside full trash can.

They have an extremely polite and helpful staff.

The staff and accommodations were great!!

Good breakfast selection…Andre the server was very attentive and made sure we had Everything we needed.

My Soul Sister and I wanted to get a drink and we went downstairs to the Bar.. Andre our Bartender was amazing very polite and nice customer service..

Andre was the BEST bartender I’ve ever had.

Thank you specifically too: Bar tender Miles, the front desk Kerryann and Intan; housekeeping Monica, and Anabela and the rest of the staff.

The bistro in the lobby has great servers and the Bartended Andre has be like family.

My stay at the holiday inn in the Williamsburg va area has been the best experience thanks to andre bartender.

Samantha is always the consummate hostess that had a smile that always brighten your day or night.

The staff was AMAZING especially our night time bartender!

The servers were also very good and attentive.

Ours waitresses Julie and Stormy were very attentive and super sweet.

Julie & Stormy, our servers took great care of us and we did not want for anything.

Chef Randy provides some of the best seafood around & the bartender, Samantha, made sure we had a great time every night we dined in & made sure our drinks were never empty!

Server Julie & Chef Randy made the weekend getaway that my hubby & I took very special.

Sam our bartender provided excellent service and was such a delight!

And Sam the bartender is always friendly and up for a conversation while making the best drinks.

The Kids Eat Free rules seemed to change depending on the server (but they are willing to "work" with you, and the servers were the best part of the hotel).

Stop in the little bar and meet a very knowledgeable bartender named Jerry who knows a LOT about local and national craft beer and wine.

I’ve went to the bar a few times and Shelia is the best bar tender I’ve ever had, she is energetic, outgoing and makes sure she meets your needs and always comes back to check in on her customers and very professional and interacts with all her customers!

Another superstar was Shelia (pronounced Sheila, she has a story) the bartender.

Clearance between the door when opened & the toilet is next to nothing, very tight bathroom.

Room was outdated and bathroom was dirty; grout in shower was moldy and bed was not very comfortable.

Sliding door track was so full of crud and rust that it would not open or close without lifting it off the track and could not be locked.

One room was dirty including toothpaste and hair in the sink.

There was also a towel rack in front of the sink.

There were patches falling off of the ceiling, stains all over the carpets, mold and mildew in the bathroom, as well as several other issues.

Extremely disappointed
The room was in need of renovation the furniture was old and worn out the carpet was needing to be replaced torn with chunks missing there was a dead frog in the room the ADA room shower flooded the floor with every use there was a copperhead snake at the pool and we were woke to a fire alarm at six in the morning with no explanation as to what occurred.

Clock on nightstand out of time, refrigerator not working (unplugged); GFCI on bathroom wall loose and dangerous; moldy shower stall; broken hairdryer.

There was ants everywhere, in the bathroom, on the desk, on the walls.

Bathrooms are dingy and plumbing does not work.

Resort amenities were not really open (pool was though).

The bathroom was not what I’d expect for the doubletree.

I would have to shake the handle to stop the toilet from making that annoying sound.

Also, the wall mirror was hanging off of the wall when we entered the room.

Rooms are outdated, painted over walls, lowest height toilets, smallest bathrooms, no smart TV.

I’m waiting to see if they charged me to cancel because I didn’t receive much from the front desk person, she was dealing with another lady with a broken toilet and no room phone though. Crazy!

The rug was not vacuumed and bathroom was small, dusty and very dated.

Its very close to Busch Gardens and Water country

The hotel was very close to Busch Garden and ten minutes away from Colonial Williamsburg.

You cannot beat the location, as it is right around the corner from Busch Gardens and across the street from numerous restaurants.

It is very close to Busch Gardens and relatively close to Colonial Williamsburg, maybe an eight minute drive.

We are regulars in the Hamptons Roads area, and we felt confident booking a Doubletree in Williamsburg for some Busch Gardens time.

The location was very convenient to Busch Gardens.

Hotel is really close to Busch Gardens and a reasonable point value, which is why we stay.

The location is ideal for those wanting to visit both or either Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.

Took the family to Busch Gardens and this hotel was about 3 minutes from the park - Convenient.

We stayed here for my son’s birthday and went to Busch Gardens, Yorktown and Jamestown.

If you are also planning a trip to Busch Gardens, this hotel is the most ideal place to stay at!

Although we didn’t stay there for its proximity to Busch Gardens, this hotel is just outside the entrance to the park.

We liked the proximity to Busch Gardens and liked that they offered a shuttle to the park.

And the location was good if you were looking for something close to Busch Gardens VA.

Location is perfect for Busch Gardens & Water Country USA.

In the end, this large hotel with spacious rooms is extremely convenient for anyone going to Busch Gardens, so I recommend it based on that.

Great place to stay when visiting Busch Gardens.

Our biggest reason for staying here was the Tesla charging stations and the proximity to Busch Garden.

It's super close to Busch Gardens and they also have shuttle service to the park! !

This hotel is about 5 minutes away from Busch gardens.

Overall a very nice stay, and close to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg and more!

On a positive note, the facility was HUGE, close to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.

If you want to be close to Busch Gardens , this is your place .

Stayed for 3 nights and selected this resort because 1) we are Hilton honors members and are quite loyal to the brand and 2) the proximity to Busch Gardens was ideal since that was why we were in the area.

We enjoyed being so close to Busch Gardens!

If you're looking for a nice place to stay near Busch Gardens, we would definitely recommend the DoubleTree, Williamsburg.

The best thing was how close it was to Busch Gardens and they have plenty of parking.

The indoor pool was warm, nice and clean.

The hotel is really clean, nice, rooms are great, grounds are great, staff are very nice.

The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.

Housekeeping is quick to address requests, and they do a great job keeping the place clean.

This beautiful, spotless hotel has spacious rooms and an exceptionally friendly staff.

The pool was so clean and property well kept..very relaxing!

Positives were very clean rooms, great amenities and right next door to Bush Gardens.

Had an amazing time at Colonial Williamsburg which is just minutes away.

If you want to stay close to Bush Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg, this is the location.

First, the location is excellent as it is near Colonial Williamsburg, Water Country, and Busch Gardens.

It was a quick drive or Uber/taxi into Colonial Williamsburg.

Great place to stay if you plan on visiting Bush Gardens, VA beach, and Colonial Williamsburg in one stay.

The location was convenient to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg as well well as plenty of restaurants.

GREAT location for Busch Gardens, Jamestown and Yorktown, and not bad for Colonial Williamsburg.

It is also very close to Colonial Williamsburg and a plethora of great restaurants.

Close to Busch Gardens and down-town colonial Williamsburg.

I always look forward to coming to colonial Williamsburg and staying at the Doubletree Hotel.

The hotel is close to Water Country USA and Colonial Williamsburg, and literally less than 2 minutes from Busch Gardens.

The location was perfect for everything that we were doing (Busch Gardens, Water Country, Colonial Williamsburg).
