We stayed in unit 8 which was absolutely lovely.

Quiet, spectacular views, great fishing, clean well appointed unit.

Been to Pacific Rendezvous and each time has been special.Very much enjoyed the wonderful view and the immaculate presentation of the unit and the resort.

The unit we stayed in was lovely and clean and provided everything we needed for our extended weekend.

Each unit has a beautiful view over the water.

Delightfully relaxing, spacious unit, gorgeous grounds to walk around with spectacular sea views from every unit and from nearly every part of the grounds, even the swimming pool has a sea view.

Absolutely loved our  7 day break at this resort.We were in unit 17 and the 180 degree views are stunning.

We also went fishing off the rocks, accessed down a path just a short walk from our unit.

We booked a 2-room ocean view unit (2 adults, 2 children) for 4 mid-week nights during 2019 September school holidays.

The provisioning of our unit was poor - 3 dish washer tablets, no salt & pepper, minimal toilet paper (1 roll); we had to ask for more.

Only negatives would be tiny bathroom in our apartment and poor WiFi.

A group of us used it as a base camp for diving the poor knights islands and tutukaka coast.

if your going diving, here is the best place to stay as you can see the poor knights island from the units.

but only for a couple of days, it is a little lacking in things to do when the weather is poor.

The distance from town makes it an extremely poor choice as a location if you don't have a rental care to get back and forth to town, even more so as there are only two car services in town with liited availability.

but poor security, a window latch was broken and the window, at ground level, could not be secured.

It was so sunny and private and had the most magnificent views right out to the Poor Knights islands.

Great amenities, having 2 private beaches is also a treat.

Paths down to the private beaches are a dream to walk on.

The units are very well set up and the complex has many facilities and two private beaches.

The private access to the beach is well maintained and even has benches.

The grounds are beautiful with amazing gardens and a private harbour beach on one side.

Both had private courtyards with cliff top sea views, adjacent car parking, and 2 beaches within walking distance.

Extensive well maintained grounds with a games room, 2 spas (1 private and needs to be booked), swimming pool and tennis court.

Each couple in the group had their own spacious private hotel room with living room and efficiency kitchen stocked with New Zealand ever present kettle, tea & fresh milk.

Very clean, great facilities, two private beaches, two spa pools, a swimming pool, and two barbecues.

We enjoyed a great walk down to the private beach, and there was plenty of garden to walk around and explore.

We used the spa pool, very relaxing and visited both the private beaches where again so peaceful and relaxing .

There are two private beaches belonging to the resort; one golden sand facing in toward the harbour (but not harbour muddy), the other rocky cove facing the ocean.

We can't speak more highly of the location, the rooms were clean, tidy and had all the amenities we needed, and the owners were so helpful throughout the stay and set up of the wedding.

The place is still great - rooms are very tidy and well maintained, views are amazing, private beach, games room, pools etc.

AMAZING place, beautifully kept gardens, extremely clean rooms, stunning views, the pool and spa pools are fantastic, the games room is a great spot to hang out.

Our room was very clean and tidy and modern.

butts all over the grass, and the office and host reeks of smoke.

There is a broken rotting small wooden table and 4 chairs which belong in a tip.

I understand that all the units are individually owned therefore you can get a very nice modern one or another  that is old, musty and in need of an upgrade.

In the bathroom when using the hot water in the tiny shower the hot water handle would get so hot you needed to cover your hand with a wash cloth to avoid getting burned when you turned it off.

It smelt musty and damp when we walked in, the tiny bathroom was just plain nasty and,

Probably our unit hadn't been used for a while as our visit was in november and the bedrooms were musty.

The entrance had not been swept in months, it us full of feathers, leaves and the drain was blocked with dirt.

We swam at the private beach and then the lovely pool, followed by a hot spa.

The grounds were fabulous, views amazing, and they had a tennis court, spa, swimming pool, games room, and even a little shop.

We really enjoyed the tennis court and spa facilities.

Lots of activities for the kids, pool, spa, tennis and a big hill for them to roll down!

Lovely clean and cosy houses plus excellent facilities for families - pool, spa, big playground with trampoline, tennis court and games room.

The views are amazing it is a five minutes drive away from tutukaka but all good and a great stay

The resort is amazing with lush gardens and a great pool and spa,kids park and bbq areas.

but needs improving, on the upside - new coffee machine in the shop was great and the spa in the pool area have bubbles finally working so well done to new management.

All the facilities were open including the hot spa.

We enjoyed the table tennis, swimming pool and spa pools.

We loved the pool area which had 2 spas and a games room with table tennis and air hockey.

Good bbq and pool and tennis court pool and spa so great for the kids.

The resort also has a decent children's playground (with trampoline), proper tennis court, small swimming pool with spa, games room with table tennis etc.., and a private bookable spa for adults.

Grand daughter tried the spa pool and said it "was the best day ever" so cant get much better than that.

The whole of pacific rendezvous is amazing, to the wonderful unit I stayed it has everything that a family needs, pool,  spa, games room, tennis court.

Pool and spa were great for the kids and even managed a bar b que.

Facilities great with swimming pool, spa and bbq areas.

The location with its own accessible beach, it’s own pool and spa, made for a very relaxing location

Only slight issue we had was the Wi-Fi being intermittent.

The internet wasn't working and when it got fixed it wasn't usable for video streaming.

We had trouble with wifi & with no screens, I was eaten alive by mosquitos during the warm night.

Wifi was very slow and only get 250mb free.

but the apartment was left open and the entrance code was texted.

The wifi that was available didn't connect for me and couldn't check emails.

One more thing : no unlimited wifi is quite inconvenient for IT people.

Included Wifi access was more limited than I would prefer,

the only dissapoinment was lack of wi-fi which I understand the management is in the process of fixing.

If I had to be picky I would say the only down sides are the small free daily wifi allowance (surely unnecessary in these days of unlimited plans) and the lack of gas barbecues (they have some wood fired ones

Something else that was an absolute joke was the free 250MB internet access per day.

Wi-if a problem even with voucher code as signal didn't always work.

Let down somewhat by the service - no milk in the room on arrival and patchy service getting towels / tea towels changed.

Wifi connection is not good, inspite of voucher codes given.

but who goes to tutakaka to spend all time on Internet.

If I should mention a little dent in the paint, it is the internet connection that definitely needs a looking at.

The insides need a real clean including the mold on the ceiling fans.

All rooms had air conditioning including the bedrooms in the apartment.

even though we ran the ceiling fan  The windows didn't open very far.

The only disappointing aspect was the lack of airconditioning in the room.

but rooms have no ac if you come in February you will suffer , the restraint has a limited selection of food and if you are a vegetarian your selection will be very limited there are no safes but reception will keep your valuables in a drawer .

but if you are used to aircon then make sure you request a room with it.

The only thing that I would’ve liked was air conditioning in the rooms, it was summer and really hot, there was a ceiling fan which was nice and cool if you sat under it.

The only respite is 2 x $20 40cm fans, sorry

No aircon didn't bother me because of the time of year

but warn of the air con situation and tell them not to expect too too much . Serviceable.

All of this being said, this venue lets itself down substantially by having NO AIRCONDITIONING in the rooms.

The heat in the rooms was unbearable noisy ceiling fan and stand up fan in the rooms highlighted the issues they must have with hot rooms

I would revisit without a doubt if they are able to instal air-conditioning until then will choose other accommodation to visit during the summer months.

Would not recommend this place anytime other than coldest winter period UNLESS they install airconditioning.

Unfortunately, the rooms had no AC and my room faced the afternoon sun. URGH.

We aware the hotel is considering either air-conditioning and / or screens on windows and balcony doors.

No air-conditioning in the hotel - made for a very hot and humid afternoon.

The large room with good bed had a safe, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a heat pump and panel heater.

Nice large room and had a good night's sleep.

but the price was very reasonable and the large room had an airconditioning unit which is almost essential this time of year.

The beds are comfy and the room quite large.

Bathroom was a huge room , because it was a mobility access one.

The rooms are large and well appointed and far better than most equivalent hotels I have experienced and, all else worked well also.

We stayed overnight, it was very clean and a large room with a bed that was soooo comfortable.

We recently stayed here and found the rooms large and comfortable.

We got a special for $150 for a huge room with king size bed, beautiful bathroom so clean with everything you need for a a relaxed stay.

Car parking out back, while you stepped out the front and straight to the marina, and small set of stores and eateries which feature in the marina area.

There was a better place to eat at the Marina Pizza restaurant, right over the water.

The hotel seems to be made up of hotel rooms and privately owned apartments most of which look out onto the marina and Tutukaka bay.

The rooms are renovated and are very spacious huge windows looking over the marina.

The hotel overlooks the marina and our room had wonderful views of the sea and the area.

Sadly our view in 105 looked onto the car park instead of fabulous marina.

This is a lovely location right by the sea with an impressive marina and a substantial hotel overlooking the marina.

We were very lucky and had room 326 which has a balcony and views over to the marina.

The Marina View rooms provide give a lovely outlook across the lawn to the harbour and the Marina.

This is a lovely gem with beautiful spacious rooms and incredible marina views!

Thee are lots of good things about this hotel: large apparently clean rooms with pleasant views (if you pay a little extra for a view of the marina), and a bucolic charm that one has to adjust to.

It does offer beautiful views of the marina, with a grocery on the first floor.

Tutukaka is a beautiful spot, and the hotel is ideally situated, overlooking the marina, and above a range of rather delightful shops.

The only negative is the ceiling is a little thin and can hear those above walking on the hard floor.

Whilst I'm sure as a winter venue it would be beautiful, in the height of summer, the rooms were almost unbearably hot - extremely unpleasant, and barely compensated for by the ceiling and upright fans provided.

Yes they had a ceiling fan (noisy and thumping).

Room was very stuffy, so we opened the windows, turned on the ceiling fans and found a floor fan.

No air conditioning and the ceiling fan was situated quite far away from the bed so it got quite hot and stuffy

There is none, just a noisy clicking ceiling fan!

The ceiling fan was not quite cutting it.

Impressed with room- very spacious, newly renovated, light - filled, very clean room.

The room was clean and was vey pleasant considering the size of the complex.

Back to the hotel - clean rooms, plenty of room for 3 adults, we had one person on the sofa bed, not that comfortable

The conference room was spotless and had all the equipment as required.

We had a marina room and this was spotless, spacious and comfortable.

The service was great (they even held onto our luggage while we were out for the day after we checked out), the room was clean (and huge!)

The major deficiency of the room was the "drains" smell in the bathroom,

The suite was not exactly clean; the toilet had a lingering odour like that of a drain backed-up with excess waste; and the comforter on the bed was splattered with stains.

The only negative, the bathroom had a very bad drain smell that never went away.

butts which must have accumulated over weeks.

During our stay we never saw anyone in the hallway except that painters, it would have been nice to have been warned that the corridor was to be painted prior to check-in as the smell was a tad overwhelming at times.

The first one was the baking heat and the second was the stink of frying food.

Heat pump was on when we arrived which meant the room was not cold.

We happened to arrive on a cold night, and my one comment is that the bathroom was quite cold and I couldn't see a heater.

but was still a bit too cold for us accustomed to Queensland temperatures.

It was a bit cold for the pool in August,

The grounds of the B&B are superbly kept with a substantial sized pool (we were there in october so it was too cold to go swimming).

They were very knowledgeable about the local area and sent us off to a magical day trip to Tutukaka and to a few quiet swimming spots, not that we went swimming (too cold).

Wonderful accommodation in extension grounds about 15 minutes drive out of Whangerei.

The grounds are gorgeous, the owner lovely and the breakfast delicious!
