We stayed in unit 8 which was absolutely lovely.

Quiet, spectacular views, great fishing, clean well appointed unit.

Been to Pacific Rendezvous and each time has been special.Very much enjoyed the wonderful view and the immaculate presentation of the unit and the resort.

The unit we stayed in was lovely and clean and provided everything we needed for our extended weekend.

Each unit has a beautiful view over the water.

Delightfully relaxing, spacious unit, gorgeous grounds to walk around with spectacular sea views from every unit and from nearly every part of the grounds, even the swimming pool has a sea view.

Absolutely loved our  7 day break at this resort.We were in unit 17 and the 180 degree views are stunning.

Everything is well set up in the motel units, the view is exquisite and the facilities are top notch.

The units are well maintained and there are two beautiful bbq areas.

We also went fishing off the rocks, accessed down a path just a short walk from our unit.

We booked a 2-room ocean view unit (2 adults, 2 children) for 4 mid-week nights during 2019 September school holidays.

We swam at the private beach and then the lovely pool, followed by a hot spa.

There is so much to do in Tutukaka, beautiful beaches, locals are friendly.

The Pacific Rendezvous Resort Motel is near these landmarks: Matapouri Bay, Tutukaka Headland, Sailfish Cove Wines, Tane Moana, Perfect Day Ocean Cruise, Yukon Dive, Dive!

The beaches are absolutely gorgeous, and the playground was just perfect.

Lovely sheltered beaches and scenic walks around the resort too.

Great amenities, having 2 private beaches is also a treat.

The wee beach down the stair bush walk was very special.

Paths down to the private beaches are a dream to walk on.

The units are very well set up and the complex has many facilities and two private beaches.

All around sea views, including out to The Poor Knights and over Tutukaka harbour.

We look forward to going back perhaps in the summer when we can swim at the some of the lovely beaches.

We would thoroughly recommend this location to walkers, surfers, anglers and divers or simply to relax as it’s position on the Tutukaka coast is second to none.

The private access to the beach is well maintained and even has benches.

Our beautiful apartment was very clean and well appointed.

We can't speak more highly of the location, the rooms were clean, tidy and had all the amenities we needed, and the owners were so helpful throughout the stay and set up of the wedding.

The provisioning of our unit was poor - 3 dish washer tablets, no salt & pepper, minimal toilet paper (1 roll); we had to ask for more.

my partner booked us in for 3 nights and diving the poor Knights islands for my birthday.

A group of us used it as a base camp for diving the poor knights islands and tutukaka coast.

L'endroit est fantastique, plus beau que la bay of Island just devant les poor knight islands.

if your going diving, here is the best place to stay as you can see the poor knights island from the units.

but only for a couple of days, it is a little lacking in things to do when the weather is poor.

The distance from town makes it an extremely poor choice as a location if you don't have a rental care to get back and forth to town, even more so as there are only two car services in town with liited availability.

but poor security, a window latch was broken and the window, at ground level, could not be secured.

It was so sunny and private and had the most magnificent views right out to the Poor Knights islands.

The grounds are beautiful with amazing gardens and a private harbour beach on one side.

Both had private courtyards with cliff top sea views, adjacent car parking, and 2 beaches within walking distance.

Extensive well maintained grounds with a games room, 2 spas (1 private and needs to be booked), swimming pool and tennis court.

Each couple in the group had their own spacious private hotel room with living room and efficiency kitchen stocked with New Zealand ever present kettle, tea & fresh milk.

Very clean, great facilities, two private beaches, two spa pools, a swimming pool, and two barbecues.

We enjoyed a great walk down to the private beach, and there was plenty of garden to walk around and explore.

We used the spa pool, very relaxing and visited both the private beaches where again so peaceful and relaxing .

There are two private beaches belonging to the resort; one golden sand facing in toward the harbour (but not harbour muddy), the other rocky cove facing the ocean.

Definitely recommend a stay, all rooms have fantastic views and are really spaced out to give you privacy.

The rooms were beautiful and the managers did so many little touches to make us feel so special and welcome.

First time in the 2 bedrooms (8) & room was great.

The pool and games room were a hit with all of us.

But on arrival the room I requested was different, in the end we got the room we asked for it was amazing the views are spectacular.

The views we had from our room (#6) were spectacular even when we had some rough weather.

We loved the pool area which had 2 spas and a games room with table tennis and air hockey.

We actually booked the cheapest 2-bed room available.

butts all over the grass, and the office and host reeks of smoke.

There is a broken rotting small wooden table and 4 chairs which belong in a tip.

I understand that all the units are individually owned therefore you can get a very nice modern one or another  that is old, musty and in need of an upgrade.

In the bathroom when using the hot water in the tiny shower the hot water handle would get so hot you needed to cover your hand with a wash cloth to avoid getting burned when you turned it off.

It smelt musty and damp when we walked in, the tiny bathroom was just plain nasty and,

Probably our unit hadn't been used for a while as our visit was in november and the bedrooms were musty.

The entrance had not been swept in months, it us full of feathers, leaves and the drain was blocked with dirt.

The grounds were fabulous, views amazing, and they had a tennis court, spa, swimming pool, games room, and even a little shop.

We really enjoyed the tennis court and spa facilities.

Lots of activities for the kids, pool, spa, tennis and a big hill for them to roll down!

but no dishwasher there was washing machines and dryers to use and clothes line there is a swimming pool and spa pool
The views are amazing it is a five minutes drive away from tutukaka but all good and a great stay

The resort is amazing with lush gardens and a great pool and spa,kids park and bbq areas.

but needs improving, on the upside - new coffee machine in the shop was great and the spa in the pool area have bubbles finally working so well done to new management.

All the facilities were open including the hot spa.

We enjoyed the table tennis, swimming pool and spa pools.

Good bbq and pool and tennis court pool and spa so great for the kids.

The resort also has a decent children's playground (with trampoline), proper tennis court, small swimming pool with spa, games room with table tennis etc.., and a private bookable spa for adults.

Grand daughter tried the spa pool and said it "was the best day ever" so cant get much better than that.

The whole of pacific rendezvous is amazing, to the wonderful unit I stayed it has everything that a family needs, pool,  spa, games room, tennis court.

Pool and spa were great for the kids and even managed a bar b que.

Facilities great with swimming pool, spa and bbq areas.

The location with its own accessible beach, it’s own pool and spa, made for a very relaxing location

but the new owners make you feel unwelcomed.

Service was just so polite and customer focused.

The owners were friendly and very helpful.

The managers were very friendly, engaging, and helpful.

We found Ian, the Manager to be great when we were chatting via email and equally as pleasant in person as were all the staff we encountered.

There isnt anything we didnt like and the owners were always helpful with anything we needed.we will be back and counting  down.

Privately owned units managed by a thoroughly professional couple who can't stop smiling at the good fortune of the truly spectacular location.

The managers were very friendly and made great coffee to in the little shop!

Beware that owners have the right to override your booking.

Wake up and the morning, with a direct view to the Pacific is priceless.

The property has a lovely location, with some accommodation alternatives having better views than others.

The view was beautiful, we enjoyed sitting outside watching the boats and the bird life.

We had a one bedroom apartment that opened up to the most stunning ocean views.

The views are 5 star and we often watched the sunrise from my sons bedroom.

Only slight issue we had was the Wi-Fi being intermittent.

The internet wasn't working and when it got fixed it wasn't usable for video streaming.

We had trouble with wifi & with no screens, I was eaten alive by mosquitos during the warm night.

Wifi was very slow and only get 250mb free.

but the apartment was left open and the entrance code was texted.

The wifi that was available didn't connect for me and couldn't check emails.

One more thing : no unlimited wifi is quite inconvenient for IT people.

Included Wifi access was more limited than I would prefer,

the only dissapoinment was lack of wi-fi which I understand the management is in the process of fixing.

If I had to be picky I would say the only down sides are the small free daily wifi allowance (surely unnecessary in these days of unlimited plans) and the lack of gas barbecues (they have some wood fired ones

Something else that was an absolute joke was the free 250MB internet access per day.

Wi-if a problem even with voucher code as signal didn't always work.

Let down somewhat by the service - no milk in the room on arrival and patchy service getting towels / tea towels changed.

Wifi connection is not good, inspite of voucher codes given.

but who goes to tutakaka to spend all time on Internet.

If I should mention a little dent in the paint, it is the internet connection that definitely needs a looking at.

The insides need a real clean including the mold on the ceiling fans.

All rooms had air conditioning including the bedrooms in the apartment.

even though we ran the ceiling fan  The windows didn't open very far.

The only disappointing aspect was the lack of airconditioning in the room.

but rooms have no ac if you come in February you will suffer , the restraint has a limited selection of food and if you are a vegetarian your selection will be very limited there are no safes but reception will keep your valuables in a drawer .

but if you are used to aircon then make sure you request a room with it.

The only thing that I would’ve liked was air conditioning in the rooms, it was summer and really hot, there was a ceiling fan which was nice and cool if you sat under it.

The only respite is 2 x $20 40cm fans, sorry

No aircon didn't bother me because of the time of year

but warn of the air con situation and tell them not to expect too too much . Serviceable.

All of this being said, this venue lets itself down substantially by having NO AIRCONDITIONING in the rooms.

The heat in the rooms was unbearable noisy ceiling fan and stand up fan in the rooms highlighted the issues they must have with hot rooms

I would revisit without a doubt if they are able to instal air-conditioning until then will choose other accommodation to visit during the summer months.

Would not recommend this place anytime other than coldest winter period UNLESS they install airconditioning.

Unfortunately, the rooms had no AC and my room faced the afternoon sun. URGH.

We aware the hotel is considering either air-conditioning and / or screens on windows and balcony doors.

On both occasions check in was fast, friendly and the receptionists were genuinely interested in what I was doing in Tutukaka.

The large room with good bed had a safe, a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, a heat pump and panel heater.

Nice large room and had a good night's sleep.

a really well-appointed hotel, right by the waterfront, really big rooms, good pool and Bar b q area, and great customer service.

but the price was very reasonable and the large room had an airconditioning unit which is almost essential this time of year.

Our room was large and on the first floor.

The beds are comfy and the room quite large.

Bathroom was a huge room , because it was a mobility access one.

The rooms are large and well appointed and far better than most equivalent hotels I have experienced and, all else worked well also.

We stayed overnight, it was very clean and a large room with a bed that was soooo comfortable.

We recently stayed here and found the rooms large and comfortable.

We got a special for $150 for a huge room with king size bed, beautiful bathroom so clean with everything you need for a a relaxed stay.

The hotel rooms are large with good beds.

Parking is free and you have good access to the marina.

but still an amazing view out over the Marina.

Our room was really clean and comfortable, loved the outlook over the marina.

As we walked into the newly refurbished room, the view of the marina was stunning.

Located opposite the Marina, the setting is beautiful.

We enjoyed a night in a marina view studio apartment.

Car parking out back, while you stepped out the front and straight to the marina, and small set of stores and eateries which feature in the marina area.

There was a better place to eat at the Marina Pizza restaurant, right over the water.

The hotel seems to be made up of hotel rooms and privately owned apartments most of which look out onto the marina and Tutukaka bay.
