We checked out on a Monday and at 10 AM there was a knock on our door.

Oddly, we did receive a loud knock on the door at 10 am announcing house-keeping despite having a check-out time just two hours later (never experienced that before).

but the walls seemed very thin, and the room doors slam very loudly.

I could hear something slamming the door over and over,

and under the door of the connecting room.

but why not in the room and Not in the hallway in front of other guests door???

but every time a door is closed, the place shakes.

Tile floor cracked and shower door off the hinges.

Open the door to the Room our shoes stuck to the tile in the entry and the bathroom to the point I had to take a washcloth and clean all of it twice just to get it to not stick.

Too many rude people talking in the hall after hours and slamming doors.

The one and only criticism is that the track space between shower doors and bottom edges of the shower doors should be cleaner.

Well at 9 am we got a knock on the door from housekeeping.

The grout in the tile by the front door and in the bathroom was black or gray, the shower had mold and rust in it, the paint on the bathroom ceiling was puckering and the sprinkler head had rust on it, the carpeting was unraveling where it met the tile, and the upholstered bench by the bed was stained.

Chelsey could have easily told my husband "we don't do anything" or write short note and slipped it under more door.

The facility shows some signs of use and age (door bottoms and frames beginning to rust, peel; loose faucet tap in the bathtub),

One night, the room next door to us was having a loud, late party - I called the front desk, security quietly handled it and we were able to go to sleep.

We never heard doors slamming, people talking or any noise coming from the street unlike in many other hotels we recentry stayed at.

although we arrived at 2am and the doors were locked, someone was waiting to check us in.

When asked, my sister mentioned this was our 9th annual birthday trip and after we got to our room and settled in, there was a knock on the door and Ryan and Ethan had surprised us birthday gift bags of munchies, with birthday cards and coupons to use at the little store by the front desk.

Everything worked (Internet, elevators, hair dryer, etc,,the check in was quick, the room was clean and good sized, good location for my purposes, NO PARKING CHARGE, parking was right by the back door, and good breakfast.

My room was clean and the view was great!

The room was spotless, check-in was easy and breakfast was delicious.

Rooms were very clean and we stayed on the 8th floor and didn’t hear any noise.

The thermostat had low batteries and the heating unit did not work properly.

Called front desk several times - no answer - went to lobby to see if anyone was there;      there was,

Peeling paint, water damage, lack of cleanliness, mold in the bathroom, LOUD A/C, the room was dark and dingy, and I didn't dare sit on the sofa.

The air conditioning unit was extremely loud.

The master cable unit seemed to be shot so ultimately we left the TV on for the complete time on Saturday and gave up on Sunday.

Our room alternately noisily blew cold and hot air.

The bathroom had paint peeling off the ceiling and no exhaust vent.

Upon entry to the room, the temperature was 83 degrees and the A/C was off, so I had to wait several hours for the room to cool down.

Smoke detector was hanging from ceiling, needle caps in couch, ac was broke so it was hot all night.

The heat did not function properly, I had to run the AC the entire time just to get the room temp below 76* (it was 31* outside) tv didn’t work, fan in bathroom didn’t work, peeling paint & holes in bathroom.

Would be nice if the constant fan function actually worked to drown out the highway and deliveries.

My sheets had poop on them,toilet was running all night, ac doesn't get cold and mattress sags and killed my back.

The bathroom does not have vent, and it would be nice to have a room safety box.

but the hotel hallways have no A/C or ventilation - so they were stuffy and humid.

Room A/C unit was very noisy and the pillows were too soft.

First time the paint was chipping off the wall in big chunks, the thermostat was hanging out of the wall on the wires, the beds were terrible.

I lowered the thermostat to 65 degree to have the fan running to get some fresh air.

The rooms were clean, the fitness center was great, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

We were very happy with the hotel and the cleanliness of the room.

The room was spotless and guests were quiet through our stay.

The supposedly put us in a room that was clean.

Housekeeping was having to go clean her room that was supposed to be clean in the first place.

but there was a chemical imbalance, to tell us what was going on, and then told us when the pool was ready!

but carpets are old and the room and hallways have a musty, unpleasant odor.

I also noticed the smell of cigarettes in the hallways.

The third floor smelled like smoke as did the elevator.

The temperature was hard to regulate, there were few open outlets available for charging devices (and none near the beds), and a disgusting amount of dust was found behind the beds when looking for an outlet.

Paint peeling and chipping off walls, sheets don’t fit mattress so you end up laying on bare mattress, hallways wreak of marijuana, if you are not the first in line for the complimentary breakfast then you will be traveling off site for food.

The dirty microwave and the dirty bathroom was beyond disgusting and made me feel that the rest of room could not be clean either.

Our "No Smoking " room did NOT smell like stale smoke from years ago, like some have.

The mirrors were all fogged and you were dripping with sweat while toweling off.

She apologized for the carpets in the rooms for being in the conditions that they in, she said they had construction workers in there and wasn’t aware of the carpets being that filthy.

One of our 2 rooms had a horrible smell of cat pee and there were no other rooms available.

I requested a no smoking room, we were put on the 4th floor, a no smoking floor, guests walking up and down hall smoking, smell smoke in your room, the bed spread and burn holes in it.

The hallway carpet and the elevator floors were both filthy.

When I got off the elevator, the who floor smells like pot which I can smell from my room.

He had alcohol and weed (we know this since he tried to offer it to us and smelt like it).

The bathrooms are terrible, lacking adequate space, with very small toilets (low and tiny) and are right next to the door opening.

I didn’t notice the wall-mounted shampoo and conditioner containers in the shower were empty until I was in and totally wet.

I tried to flush the toilet and it didn't flush.

However, my  room was clean, there were no weird/bad smells, and no mold in the bathroom.

No fridge, no microwave, no breakfast included, small beds, small room, shower that didn’t work right, $33 parking each night… should I go on?

The bathroom had a musty odor to it and had towels for three people, which was odd because I booked the room for four people.

I was a bit upset about a simple amenity that this hotel failed to offer.

I had to go and get towels and amenities at front desk.

The room itself needed serious upgrades. Shower was chipped and the wallpaper (seriously?)

Cons:  carpet bit thread worn, mildew on the shower/tub, beds sag, door trim rotted out, tv volume starts at #12 – unable to lower it.

The suite was spacious except the bathroom was tiny and the door just cleared the toliet.

Overall the hotel is shabby and bathroom in the room was tiny!

The toilet didn’t flush, you had to hold it down for like 20 seconds.

The lobby couches, the ceilings in places, the rooms have peeling wallpaper with crumbling walls behind the wallpaper, bathroom tiles are gross and hallways are not kept up.

but definitely in need of updates and the bathrooms are unusually small.

In addition, when I followed the directions sent in a text for retrieving my car from the garage—for which I had prepaid the parking fee, I was scolded by the attendant for not waiting at the unattended payment window.

Restaurant in hotel offers an expensive buffet that had very mediocre food.

And for the area the rates couldn't be beat.

They charged me with expenses I didn’t make and didn’t apologize, I had to go over to the counter and ask them to fix it and delete these charges since they went over my credit card limit.

Restaurant not very good and over priced.

As in the worst breakfast I've ever paid for in my life awful.

Was charged more than the maximum prices than listed on interior room doors.

There are much better options for the price.

They don't allow late check-out even if you offer to pay for it, which was disappointing as I had a late flight.

We had two rooms and they told us if we wanted more than two cookies we had to pay.

No free breakfasts anymore, with only a $10-$15 average credit which does not even cover a cheaper breakfast after tax and tip.

Valet parking is a bit expensive with no other alternative.

I booked a free - FREE-  hotel night-  I was never going to have to pay for it/ this the term free--    But since I was unable to make my trip and not able to call - they converted my FREE night into a $700 charge for their benefit-    I am a Diamond member and have been for many years-  and this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen-   Keep my points-

The hotel did not honor park and stay rate.

I need another day and decided to book at nearby Comfort Inn was better deal and cheaper than the 1 night at  Doubletree.

Our room was amazing, the beds comfortable the room clean.

No extractor fan in bathroom, heater so noisy we couldn't use it, some allergen in room made me sneeze constantly,

We had a small bathroom problem - they tried to fix it 3 times (Just a loose shelf in the shower.

The furniture was beat up, the bathroom was tiny with a broken sink drain and no shower curtain.

Asked for toilet AND TV to be fixed and went to dinner.

Arrived to find an entire watermelon smashed adjacent to front entrance, trash cans by outside doors overflowing, tub drain backed up, runaway toilet draining water all night unless you opened tank to manually re-seat flapper after each flush, Wi-Fi inop, front desk personnel completely defeated by what a dump this hotel is and all the resulting complaints (tub, Wi-Fi, etc).

There is no microwave and is NOT listed under the hotel amenities.

The toilet in our room would make an ungodly squealing noise on and off through the night.

When we arrived, we were assigned to a room that had a clogged shower with hair and debris leftover from the previous tenants (see photos).

Room was rundown, furniture old and outdated, wallpaper looked old, bathroom was like a swamp with no exhaust fan.

Ripped curtains, a hole in the wall, filthy outlets, chewed up and peeling wallpaper, chipped up furniture, a filthy vent in the bathroom, mold in the shower, a rusty lamp with some sort of gunk dried on it, the handle to the bathroom was about to fall off, the ironing board was stained, a hole in a lampshade, and a smashed bug on the wall all point to shoddy maintenance and lazy housekeeping.

The windows allow a lot of street noise in and bathrooms are small

This is the first time I got a room with a dirty toilet.

Upon arrival, our fridge had juices and various used drinks and was filthy, used panties on the closet shelf, an earring on the rug and the toilet running constantly.

Someone put tissue paper on the wall for the door knob so you couldn't close the bathroom door.

A beautiful hotel, room was very clean and quiet.

Our room was clean, and I am picky about where I sleep.

The room was clean and, while not brand new, I found it acceptable for the size and age of the facility.

Always feel welcomed as soon as you walk through the front doors, rooms are always clean, the entire staff is warm and friendly, overall the DoubleTree is a great place stay when in Pittsburgh.

Clean room, very comfortable bed, and the shower had the best water pressure I’ve ever had in a hotel and better than at home.

The reception staff were  more interested in their social media to pay attend to the guests and the room was far from clean.

We enjoyed staying here, our room was clean, our bed was comfortable and our check in/out was seemless.

Found a room at Doubletree, quarter mile from train station and greeted by friendly receptionist and clean room.

Excellent hotel, great staff all very friendly, pool and gym good, room clean and comfortable, bistro good value and the shuttle bus into  Pittsburgh is excellent and Tom,Dave and Mack the drivers are a mine of information.

There was always dirt in the elevator, the food concession looked sketchy, and one morning someone was sitting on the wall at the rear parking lot smoking pot - didn't need the boys to see that.

Cons: A/C vents had a very nasty sweaty sock smell.

The bar/lobby area is disgusting -- or whatever the opposite of class is.

We're from California, so it was a bit of a shock to be greeted immediately by smokers right next to the door to tower 3 and the smoke continued inside.

Room smells weird, floor is uneven, room is tiny, not enough towels, one usb plug in the alarm clock, very few outlets, dim lighting, damp carpet, moisture on inside of window - and our door has malfunctioned two days in a row 🙄.

There was a slight musty smell of smoke in the rooms - perhaps these were ‘smoking’ rooms years ago.

Our room smelt like mold or a wet pool lockeroom.

The elevators were also filthy with trash and food on the floor.

The carpets are filthy, the furnishings chipped and damaged.

but the unit is FILTHY and when it runs, it smells. Ick.

There is garbage, literally ROTTING GARBAGE, laying in the vending/ice rooms, and in the elevator lobbies.

The room itself was dimly lit and smelled of stale smoke.

Hotel rooms are clean and silent and price is fair.

Check in was easy; folks were friendly; room was clean, spacious, and comfortable; breakfast was good; check out was just as easy.

And the room was clean furnished with all the toilet stuff

The room was very clean and the breakfast had a lot to offer.

I have stayed here every time I was in Pittsburgh and they have an amazing staff, extremely clean rooms, nice amenities including the best breakfast service I've experienced in my travels.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, affordable.

Centrally located, great service, clean rooms with outstanding service.

The only upside was that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Rooms are good-sized, beds were comfortable and rooms are well-appointed.

Clean rooms every 72 hours during a Pandemic?

The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable.

Our room was clean, the service was great, the experience was good.

The hotel was nice, room was clean, breakfast was great.

We are Hilton honor members and stay at Hilton hotels often, I’m not sure why we were put in such a small room as the hotel wasn’t full the night we were there.

Other notes included no cookies as with other Hamptons, the room was very small, and the bathroom was very small and not vented well, the breakfast area was small with limited offerings.

On top of it the room was tiny and barely had a window, and felt like it needed a makeover, and the breakfast was the worst I have seen in my many stays at Hampton Inns with almost no fresh fruit (apples and dark green bananas) and awful looking eggs with sausage patties that looked like they had been sitting there for a week.

The property is small - tiny rooms and almost no space outside to relax except for a very small area that doubles as the breakfast area (and two additional chairs near the elevators!).

This Hampton Inn’s rooms are on the small size and not quite as nice as some of the Hamptons Inns I’ve been in.

Only major down fall, when they remodel they must of tried really hard to increase payable space because the room was really small for a king and sofa sleeper.

Our room was very small and smelled like feet the whole time we were there, no matter how much we tried to air it out.

Lots of dust collected in bathroom intake (would take 3 seconds to clean it), toilet needs replacing, room very small, was quiet aside from early morning
