Over the years I have built up some good relationships with some of the staff at the hotel who really have been courteous and friendly to both my Son and I.

The Staff in all areas are friendly and helpful and everywhere was clean and organized including the outside Patio and gardens.

but to be accused of lying about the problem (even when the night shift agreed), is very insulting and shows a systematic problem with the management of this hotel.

suddenly the manager popped her head round the wall (literally) and intervened.

So again I had to complain, now the manager showed up and I explained the problem, so now I ordered something else: a Wagyu burger.

To which I replied “I think your customer service is absolutely disgusting” Things went from bad to worse, I tried to record the situation on my mobile phone

When I called the receptionist girl was blunt and as she didn't like what I had to say, put the phone down on me.

but IT took only à small Phone call to have IT fixed.

I explained the situation to Roy who was very understanding

the chap disappeared for 10 min to get cream for on my hot chocolate.

Very clean, very comfortable, very spacious with a professional staff and beautiful De Luxe rooms.

Very good hotel and very good staff, and very good location in Gose.

Hotel Katoen is definetely one of the hotels that I would recommend as the whole stuff  
is so friendly, caring and welcoming.

Good food, staff is friendly and helpful.

Restaurant and bar team are most friendly and the food is excellent.

The owners and most of the personnel is friendly especially the head lady.

Very attentive staff and the hotel had been updated from a previous visit some years ago.

The staff all make us feel soooo welcome and comfortable.

As the airco was very efficient this was never a problem.

The meals are first-class and the staff make you feel like family.

Susan and her wonderful staff became more like family then just another Business / Recreation visit to a hotel.

The staff at check-in and in the restaurant were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

At first I could not see a reception area when we arrived at around 9.00 pm  so walked into the bar and a friendly chap checked us in which was very quick.

The rice was served in a cup which it refused to come out of until   coerced with a fork and fell onto the plate in a solid clump.

My stay in mid-August coincided with the funfair occupying the market square which may not be everyone's cup of tea

Also, as the basin and shower are 'open' (ie  no door) on dark mornings you would need to put a light on which could disturb a partner if they were still sleeping unless you showered together.

but everyone else were very angry in the morning and had very little sleep.

The staff of the hotel, bar and restaurant was really nice and professional.

While it was a bit unconventional to check and check out in the bar, the staff was just as professional as any staff behind the front desk at a nice hotel.

The hotel rooms at the back of the hotel are an afterthought, including for the staff who work there.

We didn't find any heating device in the bathroom, so it was rather cold in the morning.

Perhaps a shame they haven't built a covered walkway between the two buildings - we visited in January when the weather was typically bleak, wet and cold.

When we returned from the bike-trip the champagne we had ordered was cold and ready to be served.

The coffee, which was in normal china pot, was almost cold.

but ALWAYS friendly, you never feel out of place (we had forgotten our cloth the the evening .

The staff is very friendly and attentive and the lady of the house will make sure you are very well looked after.

The proprietress couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and all the staff is very friendly as well.

When you arrive the staff are very friendly and helpful, showing you to your room etc.

Nevertheless it is an expensive effort so you know where your money goes.

The only reason I cannot rate it a "5" is that there are very limited services (like a gym or a spa or even a bar or restaurant for lunch) that you might expect.

But I can understand the comment of one of reviewer’s about the prices of the wine.

Over my last stay I can be very clear - far too expensive for what it is.

but the bedroom and breakfast are certainly not worth the cost.

We hope the owners continue running the restaurant this way.

The craftsmanship is visible in every detail, the dinnerware is impeccable, the hospitality shown by the team invites you to relax and enjoy an amazing diner.

Each course was served on matching, specially designed china, the owners, are clearly a great team, he in the kitchen, she in the dining room/manoir.

We were also greeted personally by the owners Claudia and Jannis.

The hotel is beautiful, quiet and the service attentive.

We have been visiting the restaurant for year - it started during the time the restaurant was operated by its previous owners .

I cannot say enough about the way you feel as you drive onto the property--just relaxed and comfortable--and knowing you are in for one of the best meals of your life and most comfortable rooms and taken care of by sweet, caring and very professional people!

The owners were absolutely lovely and took exceptional care of all of us.

A glass of orange juice (no choice), a boiled egg (no choice of how long you want it boiled for), a dish of was can only be described as what looked like cold porridge, a plate with cold meat (two small slices each), a plate with some cheese, some smoked salmon, two very large fresh cream cakes, a basket with fresh bread and two small scones.

It is a very basic hotel, small rooms, very small bathroom and (which was a bit annoying during a heat wave) no airconditioning or even a fan.

The heaters are rusty, you can't close the tiny shower cabinet.

We had a small problem with the heating we complained about.

A small TV, coffeemaker, a separate toilet and bathroom.

The room was small with a very small shower/basin room and separate toilet.

The toilet is separated from the shower and wash basin.

The "bathroom" door did not close properly so thank god we were comfortable with seeing each other naked.

Rooms are very simple, size is ok and they have attached toilet and a tiny shower (very tiny).

There was no soap or shampoo in the shower either.

We were led past the open kitchen door (which was permanently open for the entire time of our stay)..crates of empty bottles stacked up..then up a very steep spiral staircase.

but it was VERY stinky when you had the door closed.

The very friendly, hospitable staff were courteous, helpful and accommodating of any request we had.

We had a pleasant and very friendly welcome with free coffee and tea to relax befor going to the room.

They don't even clean the rooms unless you insist. The breakfast was ok and the staff were friendly (when present),

We booked the most expensive room and expected a bit of luxury.

Breakfast was in line with our expectations, as we only booked it upon arrival maybe a bit expensive.

though rather pricey with the poor exchange rate at the time.

but the rooms really do need some updating.

However, when we arrived they had no record of our booking and the lady even had the cheek to suggest that perhaps we had got the wrong Korenbeurs as there are a lot of them in the Netherlands!

As it was Valentine's weekeend and we had not pre-booked, we were allocated the last room, a really tiny room at the back

but there was a lot of wasted space and in other places the furniture was very close.

Staff is only present around breakfast time and when the restaurant opens for diner.

The owners are the same and we found the same high standards of cleanliness and service,

Well this was it, reception was very thorough and the other staff were really friendly and helpful.

Although some reviews say that they are not that clean, they are about as clean as these villa rentals tend to be.

We took the off to Sportpunt Zeeland, which is a subtropic swimming pool, and I believe you can get a discount voucher from the reception at Paardekreek.
