but the rooms above the restaurant have very thin walls which is a shame if your neighbors are a bit loud.

The walls are very thin, so, there is a lot of noise from your neighbor.

but rather expensive, same as the pousse cafe, after diner (which was excellent) too expensive

We had diner in the restaurant, which was fine.

The food is cooked to perfection with my favourite being the Tenderloin Steak (fillet) where the chef manages to give real flavour to what is a subtle dish.

In their restaurant, we had dinner and I must say the quality and taste is world class, good presentation and the food taste so good.

We arrived late afternoon,got our keys for the rooms.It is small family style hotel, maybe 20-30 rooms,my room was on the 1st floor over the restaurant.

For those who have to stay some days in Goes it is a better option if you want to enjoy a friendly environment and good food.

I decided to have dinner at the restaurant as well.

Changing tables, changing chairs, changing the menu etc.

We have had a good breakfast and twice a great dinner.

The food is excellent with great smiling friendly service.

The terrace restaurant (indoor and outdoor) is just plain excellent.

The rooms were clean and extremely well designed (furniture and lightning), and ooh: very spacious!

The hotel is conveniently situated in the city centre, with beautiful spotless rooms and free parking.

Reception staff are very welcoming, the rooms are spotlessly clean and very modern.

Hotel Katoen is definetely one of the hotels that I would recommend as the whole stuff

this is a lovely hotel and the staff are fantastic.

We particularly like the sympathetic restoration and the attention to detail.

The cleanliness of the place is impeccable and the staff very attentive.

Smooth service, neat, very clean and extremely quiet rooms, frictionless wifi, and on top an allright breakfast in the welcoming inhouse brasserie.

The owners and most of the personnel is friendly especially the head lady.

Service is excellent, especially at the front-desk.

Once located, the hotel staff were helpful in showing us the multi-storey car park which they pay for.

The Hotel Katoen was beautiful, very clean and cozy and the staff was so friendly.

but someone needs to update the rooms to be livable in warmer weather and fix the bathroom situation.

There were hairs on the bed, dust everywhere and even a snail on the curtains.

For some reason, our room, which was twice as big as my parents had a significantly smaller window opening than their room.

Good location: The B&B is walking distance from the train station, main town square, shops and restaurants.

In short:
- Room was clean, extremely spacious, extremely well maintained -- and had amazing views of the harbor with ships going by.

The immaculate room was spacious enough to fit another bed for her.

The family owner is very kind, the rooms are nice, clean  and each one has  a small functional kitchen for any needs.

Breakfast delicious and hosts very accommodating.

We had a view of the little harbour and ships passing by.

The small bedroom had a second television set and a wardrobe in the hallway opposite the room.

In the evening we met a local friend for a few beers on the terrace and afterwards dined in the hotel.

The food is excellent and this time we stayed in one of the 2 Suites available for our 2 week visit to Zeeland.

I travel the globe quite regularly and one of my favourite meals is spare ribs.

Breakfast is always great here and we have eaten in the restaurant a few times which is very good.

The rooms are clean and have good facilities.

Very attentive staff and the hotel had been updated from a previous visit some years ago.

The staff were extremely friendly and courteous.

The staff all make us feel soooo welcome and comfortable.

As the airco was very efficient this was never a problem.

The rainy weather and the first-floor view on an office block, a car park and lots of bicycles weren’t helping either.

The location is perfect, out the front door and straight into the market square.

There is no lift, so if you have trouble climbing the stairs get a room on the ground floor.

At one time there was no water so needed to ask staff and only one glass was available so again had to chase staff.

The only downside was the shower which was visible from the room through a glass partition.

The staff of the hotel, bar and restaurant was really nice and professional.

The staff at check-in and in the restaurant were all incredibly friendly and helpful.

The Amadore Jersey is in the perfect position for outdoor eating & drinking.

Breakfast a little disappointing considering the evening menu looked very good

In all of these place you find top notch places to eat the local specialities

But there are also plenty of places to eat in the neighbourhood.

good coffee and food, nice service ,good view on the market,great after shopping.

The rooms are clean and spacious, located in a more modern-styled building at the rear.

Also, as the basin and shower are 'open' (ie  no door) on dark mornings you would need to put a light on which could disturb a partner if they were still sleeping unless you showered together.

but everyone else were very angry in the morning and had very little sleep.

Staff were fantastic: very friendly, attentive, and managed everything I needed.

At first I could not see a reception area when we arrived at around 9.00 pm  so walked into the bar and a friendly chap checked us in which was very quick.

Staff were most accommodating and friendly.

While it was a bit unconventional to check and check out in the bar, the staff was just as professional as any staff behind the front desk at a nice hotel.

Very good service and a friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel rooms at the back of the hotel are an afterthought, including for the staff who work there.

One slight negative point: in the bathroom a little stool would not go amiss and the hairdryer hangs really high ( not handy if you're rather small).Pity smoking is not allowed on the nice balcony ( in the next door room guests did not bother! ).

it’s now 5.30am and I’m awake because of noise from other guests passing by.

but was told the hotel is full and was only moved a couple of rooms down the same corridor (110).

When I called the receptionist girl was blunt and as she didn't like what I had to say, put the phone down on me.

but to be accused of lying about the problem (even when the night shift agreed), is very insulting and shows a systematic problem with the management of this hotel.

suddenly the manager popped her head round the wall (literally) and intervened.

Dinner in the restaurant especially the Saturday night buffet was excellent for choice and quality and breakfast was again excellent.

A wide selection of breakfast foods (except for sausages, which are boiled not fried).

We arrived late, and the kitchen was closing, so we could not sit in the restaurant (fairly normal),

The restaurant food is very nice for a very decent price.

Comfortable, convenient, quiet, and ridiculous portions of good quality food in the restaurant plus a wide choice of local, Belgian and German beers.

You get back what you pay and even more, and the food very good as well.

but in was very impressed at the size and cleanliness of the room.

The Staff in all areas are friendly and helpful and everywhere was clean and organized including the outside Patio and gardens.

The hotel staff is very friendly and service minded and focused on providing a good experience for the guest.

the chap disappeared for 10 min to get cream for on my hot chocolate.

Very clean, very comfortable, very spacious with a professional staff and beautiful De Luxe rooms.

My room also had a balcony with a pleasant view of the garden at the back with an ashtray for smoking.

We were there with 5 couples, (it has 4 rooms and 2 studio's) and everything was OK, nice clean rooms, perfect hosts, good breakfast (also glutenfree) There is a nice room to stay in the evening with a bar, sitting place, internet, pooltable, we felt very much at home.

Our host, Luby, was a delight and very attentive and helpful.
