The lady who was working in the breakfast area was very attentive and kind as she worked around all of the people moving in the breakfast area.

Amy worked the Sunday mourning breakfast area and did an excellent job keeping it well stocked with items, as well as, keeping the serving line and tables clean.

Breakfast was very good and done with covid protocols.

Breakfast set up is great and offers different selections daily.

but we will probably look at some other options the next time we go to Wausau so we can get a better breakfast and maybe a microwave in the room.

Breakfast was a bagged to go due to COVID-19.

Really liked the options that I had for the breakfast.

But, overall great quality of breakfast items.

The breakfast was well above average with both waffles and eggs as well as oatmeal and other cereals.

Clean rooms and public spaces, friendly staff, decent pool for the kids to splash around in after skiing, decent hot tub for the adults to relax in after skiing, decent breakfast, decent pantry selections, etc.

but that is like any hotel that includes a breakfast.

Our family especially enjoyed the breakfasts-- different waffle flavors each of the 4 days we were there.

I wish it had more insulation as you could hear people walking the hallway at all hours.

I would recommend requesting a higher floor if you are sensitive to noise, as our room (102) was on the first floor near the side entrance and we could easily hear all footsteps and conversations in the hallway.

There was some late night running in the halls and minor issues in our bathroom.

After what seemed like a longer than necessary check-in experience, she eventually assigned me a room and I carried my bag and other items down the hall only to discover the room door open.

I was two doors down from it and heard every time people got off or on because they would stand by it chatting, or when they came off of it, they would be talking and it would echo down the hall.

The hotel was full the weekend we stayed there, kids were running everywhere, elevator wait was long due to kids playing, hallways were noisy.

but let the kids run wild in the halls almost knocking me down while holding the baby.

If anyone is making noise out in the hall or turns on their shower in the room next to yours, you'll hear absolutely everything.

Only complaint is the eating space is very small with "church hall tables" lined up along the wall with chairs, to provide more seating space.

The hotel was overrun with hockey teams, 8-10 year olds so you could hear them running up and down the halls and being generally rowdy.

People in the hall and outside, in the parking lot, could be clearly heard.

Breakfast was respectable and the only drawback was you could hear the highway through the windows and people in the hallway.

Traffic in the main hallway was loud and woke me up during the night.

but the clientele across the hall decided to carry on high-volume conversations in the hall both night and morning.

The host Randy was welcoming and provided an amazing breakfast with just the right of unnecessary cream on the most delicious fresh raspberries.

We cooked in for all breakfasts and one dinner.

Randy's breakfast was delicious and definitely filling over the several offered courses.

The breakfasts were abundant and delicious.

Whether sitting on the porch during complimentary wine hour or sharing an excellent breakfast with the other interesting guests, a stay at The Stewart Inn can't be beat.

In the morning, Cathy prepared a tasty breakfast for us.

Wake up to an excellent  3 course gourmet breakfast (if you are lucky complete with "unnecessary cream").

Breakfast in the morning was hosted and served by Randy.

Company of the other guests at breakfast made an enjoyable stay even better!

We love the accommodations and Randy’s breakfasts are awesome!

Breakfast in the morning was a lovely fresh made multiple course service that was beyond our wildest expectations.

Breakfast is also  very delicious and relaxing.

The breakfast featured pulled pork vegetable hash with basted eggs, and fresh fruit.

The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet and the breakfast was delicious.

If I had to nitpick, it's an older home with minimal B&B modifications so there was a paucity of outlets in my room.

but mentioning for other elderly visitors like ourselves, we have a tough time with the low toilets in older buildings and found these were the lower type, makes it really tough if you have a back problem.

An omelet with ingredients of your choice would be better or even the option of eggs and bacon.

Breakfast was excellent-Greek yogurt with granola and berries along with an asparagus and cheese omelet.

Friendly efficient front desk staff signed us in and explained the parking process to get free parking in the pay lot, the cool restaurants in the area, the comped breakfast, etc.

Got a roll away bed for one of the grandchildren and the breakfast was elegant and delicious!

The QR coded breakfasts tasted good and were on time.

Staff was friendly EXCEPT the contract breakfast employee from Ugly Mug.

Breakfast options (order online the day before) were exceptional, all-day coffee in the lobby was so appreciated, and the location of the hotel was perfect for us.

Met the Marketing Manager over breakfast and he was very friendly and I enjoyed chatting with him.

The manager greeted us at breakfast and shared the upcoming community events in the area.

Breakfast is in a bag and contains yogurt, banana, granola bar and 2 hard boiled eggs.

The breakfast was a yogurt,  a blueberry muffin,  and 2 peeled hard boiled eggs.

Got up in the morning and went to get our grab and go breakfast that was provided.

Hotel breakfasts are not much fun these days; you visit the restaurant to pick up a packaged breakfast, which you then eat in your room.

Breakfast buffet was served in the attached City Grill (see restaurant review) and while it was a hotel buffet, it was a good one with bacon, sausage, institutional scrambled eggs, cereal, yogurt, pastry items, breads, etc.

It was almost 5 before our room was ready and no compensation (like a free breakfast) was even offered for our wait.

Which we did wait for about 7 minutes to be let back in our room after breakfast.

The dinning room was nice as was the breakfast.

Very nice breakfast included in the stay.

We also love the Continental Breakfast!! !

We were pleasantly surprised by the security feature of having to use your key card to operate the elevator which was done by a simple tap on a sensor.

And these "honor bars" always make me nervous even if I don't touch them, as I feel like I need to make sure for weeks later that I don't get extra charges on my bill, and if I do, it's my word against theirs.

We didn't know at first we had to use our key cards to make the elevator work.

though billed as "continental", it was a full breakfast.

Found using the hotel room card to operate elevator a little cumbersome and getting to pool/exercise area a bit of an adventure trying to navigate the different elevators.

If you give the incorrect cc at time of payment don't try to correct it or your funds will be tied up on both cards.

Even got late check out for no extra charge.

If only New York City hotels had this kind of service and attention to their customers' needs while charging over three times the price!

Also, to avoid extra charges, put the for-a-fee snacks and alcohol into one of the cupboards so no one takes any by mistake.

The parking is a bit of a pain as you have to go across the street to a ramp and there's an additional fee for this on top of the room charge.

Do be sure to bring your own electronic charging units and cords as there are limited outlets and no USB ports in the rooms as of April 2017.

Had to use key card and made things very aggravating!

They upgraded them to a handicapped accessible suite with no up charge.

Improvements I would recommend is to have room card access to the stairs and a quieter room in regards to outdoor noise.

one of the cute ways this hotel makes money is to charge you for wet bar and snacks, which is a complete joke when you consider the price of the room, and the room itself.

The elevator and key cards are a bit of a bother, make sure to ask for specific directions on how they work.

I would have rated them a 5  except for the double billing issue.

charged a 18% tip and order was messed up and waitress never came back to check on us.

Requires inserting card into main elevator (only one, so waits can be long during busy times) and transferring to another down a long, long hallway - and then finding your room.

however is a different story somewhat spread out and difficult to work because of the security card situation it tended to slow me down just a bit.

We rolled our eyes as and grumbled as we got into the elevator after the breakfast system was explained to us at check-in.

So if you have dog that likes to bark when you leave, or barks every time elevator opens or someone walks by your room, think twice before booking stay at Jefferson Street Inn in Wausau.

To get to it you had to go up the main elevator to the fourth floor, then go around the block of rooms down the whole hall to get to the other elevator to get to the 5th floor that was only activated by your room key.

It was a little weird to have to change elevators to get above the 4th floor

It was a bit odd staying on the 5th floor because you have to leave on elevator and go to another to get from the lobby to the 5th floor,

Elevator sitatuation is a little confusing because different ones access different areas.

Better make sure you take the correct elevator because only one of three will get you there.

Not much room in the elevators to lug around equipment.

Also I didn't like that you couldn't get to the 5th floor from the elevator in the lobby.

Only 2 elevators, no stairs to access rooms.

Tip: Make sure to have your key out for the elevator.

The pool was a bit difficult to get to, as you had to take a different elevator.

My only complaint is the one elevator for 400 rooms.

I also had to have my room key reactivated 5 times while there and since you can not even get up to your room on the elevator with out the key I had to go down to the front desk

The main lobby elevator was out the weekend of our visit which made access to our 4th floor room less convenient.

Elevator in lobby was out and no one even mentioned it or apologized for the inconvenience.

Other than remodeling it was very nice bathroom was very small for handycapped

bathroom exhaust issues that wen taking a shower the ceiling exhaust took in the steam and venting right back into the bathroom.

And in the bathroom the only ADA anything was 1 grab bar in the shower across the tub with no non skid tub.

The kind you get out of the faucet in your room for free.

Only thing I can point out I was aching a little and fancied a bath the hot water is not good enough for a soak for more than 5 minutes the rest was great including there grab and go breakfast package for breakfast due to Covid.

Not the best , out dated and bathrooms were tiny shower heads to high.

Room smelled of smoke, bathroom tub not clean enough to bath in.

The drains in the sink were rusty and cracked.

butts littering the entrance ways, to the paint missing around the shower, to the dirty carpets and the scuffed up hallway walls and exterior doors.

The bathroom was in need of a major overhaul.

Beds were comfortable, bathroom very small and old.

Bathroom was very standard and water pressure was a bit much.

Breakfast service ran out of food and coffee within 15 minutes of opening.

They have a pretty good breakfast and they are close to other fast food restaurants.

We were very pleased with everything, staff were friendly and the breakfast was a good start to our day after our overnight stay.

Easy check in and check out, nice breakfast options, clean rooms, and pool and hot tub were nice temperatures and very clean as well.

They also had a continental breakfast each morning starting at 6 AM.

I got a bag, you know, the kind you breakfast they serve you come in.

A few pluses: room was clean, the towels were nice & the breakfast to go was actually good.

No elevator for the 2nd floor and too few wall outlets in room.

Kids and I are looking around for elevator….. no elevator.

No elevator , and I was told there were no rooms on the 1st floor.

There's no elevator so if you cannot carry your bags up one flight of stairs be sure to ask for a ground floor room.

It is an older property in need of a face lift though.

The television set is so low you cannot watch it in bed unless you lift up the dresser(the TV is bolted down).

The hallway carpet was dirty and smelled.

I am handicapped and a nurse and this place should be burned to the ground.

Recliner was filthy and has stains where you put your head.

Reserved a non-smoking room on the first floor with a king-sized bed (husband is 6'3" & weighs over 300 lbs who has difficulty walking long distances & I am not a small person.) Got non-smoking room with one double bed right next to the lobby & located under a wooden staircase (very noisy.)

Smell was an old smell, nothing bad just outdated.

The floor was only vacuumed in the middle of the room - it was disgusting around the sides.

The minute we walked in, there was a strange smell.

Diabetes must run rampant with your customers. Yuck!

The chemicals in the pool ruined my swim suit and my sons swim shirt.

When coming out of the room it felt like urine in the corridor.

The door to the outside smoking area is open/close all night long.

I absolutely had to leave after my first night, due to the disgusting accommodations.

Over all Staff are very friendly, rooms are spacious and well kept up..Breakfast is about an 8 could use more hot food.

Staff was friendly and OK complimentary breakfast.

The one saving grace was that they had a really good continental breakfast.

It's a low-frills kind of place- good breakfast, clean room, all reliable and reasonably priced.

Good breakfast and they kept the items refilled so they were always fresh.

Breakfast was fine, and the biscuits and gravy a welcome treat.

The breakfast was very good; we noticed the breakfast host always wore plastic gloves which shows cleanliness was important to him & Super 8.

Breakfast room was set up well and the food good; lots of fresh fruit.

attempts to debit my credit card ($119) using no or a wrong PIN number, which resulted in the card being locked without possibility of remotely unblock it.

1) One person's reservation that was paid by debit card showed as unpaid - another member volunteered their credit card to avoid the $200 cash payment fee, and that is still getting sorted out.

Apparently they didn't like me using a debit card.

It took over 20 minutes to refund my card.

I was charged for the 2 extra people in my room, 4 of us total, HOWEVER, the rates Behind the door were the SAME price for 1 or 4 people, also the website did not ask for the number of guests.

It has two floors, no elevator and the carpeting is striped, making the stairs hard for people with vision or balance problems.

Why was it necessary to pay the deposit in cash when they had the credit card on file already.

but when they did the final billing in the middle of the night, they use the wrong card number.

Accidently booked the wrong date online and was billed for it.

She CALL  me back n said that ALL SHE COULD DO IS GIVE ME 20% OFF MY BILL N THEY ALSO TOOK THE ROLLER BED off my charge.

Then told the clerk wanted to pay cash twice, he ran the credit card.

And we had the option to cancel and not be charged, as long as we should cancel by 6:00 pm.

After arrival, same clerk charged higher price.

I have been double charged and they accepted rewards gift card then took it off and double charged my room causing my bank account to have insufficient funds.

Room charge and taxes combined, my one night stay was less than $70.

desk personnel was rude when I called for wifi code I was told its on your key card read it.
