However the Landis, from its Art Deco exterior to the luxurious rooms, truly deserves its claim to be one of Taipei's top hotels.

Now that is what I call civilised and sophisticated.

The suite is nice and the standard room is newly decorated.

The staff are dressed in older days gone by uniforms and this gives the hotel a different style and feel.

Most enjoyable is the Art Deco period architechure of the property which is my personal favourite style of architecture.

It checked all the boxes for travellers looking for a clean, elegant, conveniently-located place with all the creature comforts.

The newly refurbished rooms are perfectly designed to be both elegant and functional.

even though it’s more a business style Hotel.

The place looks so chic with a small space for a barista to make your drinks complimentary with any service there.

I liked that the rooms are big and designed nicely.

The Art Deco facade is pretty and the ininside welcoming and equally well appointed.

The decor of the hotel and it's rooms are nouveau art Deco, which I am a fan of.

They have several restaurants, two a bit more upscale and then the Brasserie which is French style very nice atmosphere and good food.

they keep the vintage french style in their Brasserie restaurant, which is rarely seen in Taiwan, and we love it!

They were very sweet in decorating our room with 2 lovely towel swans on our bed, understand that it was our wedding bridal shoot trip in taipei.

Rooms come equipped with i-Pads, flat screen TVs and tea and coffee making facilities.

The bathroom was a good size and had adequate facilities.

They have a gym on the roof that I took advantage every day

This really is a fine 5 star property with friendly staff, modern and clean rooms, a currency exchange facility offering decent rates (it is quite a pain for tourists to exchange currency in Taipei once you leave the airport), and superbly connected to the rest of Taipei via a 5 minute walk to Zhongshan Elementary School MRT station.

- ok breakfast (can select some dishes from menu + buffet);
- ok location (close to Zhongshan elementary school orange MRT line) and 2 km from Songshan airport;
- nice gym with sauna and meditation/yoga room;

Minuses:
- rooms facing busy streets are a bit noisy.

Fitness studio on the highest floor has a good view and plenty of equipment.

A truly 5 star hotel, excellent facilities, meals and staff.

There is gym, quite well equipped; you will need to climb one floor to get to.

This hotel has a big gym, and many good restaurants, breakfast was also good.

The hotel has a great gym and as well a playing aerea for families with small kids.

Every morning I was greeted by staff with friendly smile as they open the door for me.

All of the hotel staff -- doormen, front desk, restaurant waiters, etc -- were extremely professional, service-oriented, and friendly.

The hotel and restaurant staff are friendly and helpful, and our housekeeper did a terrific job!

It is asuperb place with nice rooms, a good breakfast buffet and really very nice and friendly staff.

Rooms are modern, practical and functional, the hotel staff are friendly and speak great English.

but the front door staff and receptionists are friendly,helpful and efficient The rooms we stayed were spacious,bathrooms included, and the toilet seat is definitely one of the most advance and convenient I had ever come across.

Only thing missed is there is no swimming poor.

Aircon is working very poor in the rooms and in thecrest of the hotel its to hot.

but i told her that i don’t drink beer .Then she offered me a tea or coffee and i answered her with pleasure for a coffee latte and kindled accept her invitation and she  ask me to forgive  her poor behaviour and i told her certainly not forgive yes forget not .

30 minutes after taking the order very poor mixed drinks arrived at the table in an empty restaurant.

but if the staff is not reacting or speaks English this is poor.

Tasteless, poor preperation and the presentation is really old school without any ambition.

I found the superior room is much smaller and overall room quality is poor for such a price.

The Landis also has several top-ranking restaurants, including the Tien Hsiang Lo, serving Hangzhou cuisine, and the French-style Brasserie.

We enjoyed our buffet breakfasts in the Brasserie Restaurant on both mornings.

Lastly, I would like to thank the restaurant staff during breakfast service.

The only limitation was the choice of restaurants at the hotel along with the in-room dining menu.

Breakfast is good with plenty of choice, also diner at the hotel can be recommended!

I walked to Little Tokyo and many other great restaurants and spots from here all down Linsen Road.

The lobby has a stunning cafe with fresh pastries every morning.

More importantly breakfast place is nice and best food so far, I wish I woke up earlier to enjoy it longer.

There are many different food taste cross the street, the buffet breakfast in Landis is also very good.

So many stores and restaurants close near the hotel.

Food outlets, convenience stores and a MUST for me - self-service laundromat - are all within walking distance of the hotel.

but there are plenty of food options nearby.

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was also very good.

Rooms are great and service and food as well.

although most of the food offered are on the repeat the next day, we did not mind it, We were always full after breakfast.

Having forgotten my new LACOSTE jacket in the hotel, Fleur de Chine in the Sun Moon Lake region, Ms. Claire from the reception took it in her hands to get my jacket brought over overnight to Taipei. Ok

From the moment I checked in to when I left, the staff has truly made my experience exceptional and I will not hesitate to go back next time I visit Taiwan.

However, you will be warmly greeted upon reaching the hotel.

First time stay at Landis Taipei Hotel and I was very impressed by the staffs' working attitudes.

Lovely and courteous staff, comfortable and well equipped room.

but the management and staff deserve to be appraised.

The hotel restaurant was posh with excellent wait staff.

Landis group has always been known as their personal attentive services.

The hotel is class as are the staff and the rooms are great.

We were greeted without fail every time we entered or exited the premises, and made to feel like old friends

Slightly disappointed no swimming pool in the hotel.

Inside the hotel has gym room and sauna, no swimming pool.

Clean hotel offering minimal facilities (no swimming pool) and the restaurants' food is so-so.

(Only thing missing was a swimming pool.)

The only bummer for me is that they don't have a swimming pool.

There was no swimming pool which was a slight let down.

It could be the perfect hotel if they had a swimming pool (again this is just personal preference).

Instead of bulky dresser or closet, we've found clothing hooks and hangers in the room.

There was no wardrobe – instead there were 3 bars of wall hooks, and hangers, to hang clothes on.

The staff is friendly and helpful and glad to assist you about any questions even outside the hotel, from places to visit and where to try the best food.

Most of all the staffs were extremely friendly and helpful

Would highly recommend if you’re visiting Taipei!

In addition, I also must pay compliments to other staff namely Tim, Jay, Ling and Henry whom were on duty after 8 pm and they were very friendly and helpful too.

The deciding factor for a return stay in Dec 2019 is the ever friendly, cheerful, patient and helpful staff.

Excellent location near Taipei Station which is the hub of HSR, Train, Mass transit and regional buses.

The location is also pretty much unbeatable.

The location is very close to Taipei Main Station and a bunch of restaurants and convenience stores.

But our host's warm reception made us all feel welcome very quickly as she quickly gave us a run-down of the hotel's location within the city and where to find good food options.

Front desk staff was so nice, rooms were pretty big and clean, and the hotel was in a good location (close to MRT and the bus station).

Location - It's smacked right between taipei main station and Zhongshan station (both about 6 to 8 mins walk), and there's many eateries nearby.

The location is quite good because is walking distance to a subway station (Taipei Main Station).

The location is actually very good as it is less than 10 min walk to the Taipei Main Station.

Besides the good location, what makes this hotel great is the exceptional service of the front desk staff.

The hotel is strategically located within a 7-min walk to ZhongShan Station or Taipei Main Station.

Hotel is in a excellent location close to eateries, excellent  (real) cafes/coffee experts.

Ground level also has Microwave and Oven for heating food. C).

While no breakfast is provided to guests, plenty of food options were either a short walk or subway ride away.

Free instant noodle for supper at the pantry, there is a room of washingmachine and drying machine.

The night market is walking distance from the hotel too and a lot of cafes and restaurant are nearby.

CityInn Branch 2 will certainly be my choice again when I return to Taipei, hopefully during Mid Autumn (I'll make sure to join the BBQ this time!).

but the hotel can help ordering MacDonald's or you can have snacks & drinks from the 24-hr pantry on G/F.

I like the fact there was a common laundry room free to use and a common pantry also for free hot drinks.

There are many cafes and restaurant nearby.

They also recommended a delicious place for authentic Taiwan breakfast, providing us with a menu and recommending what to order,  that we loved so much we returned every day of our stay.

It's just a 10 minute walk to the Taipei Train station and even just beside the hotel are enough local mom-and-pop shops, restaurants and things to do.

There is a pantry at the ground floor that provide free drink and light snack.

And surrounded by lots of food choices including local and fast food, just a stone’s throw away.

The pantry comes with complimentary drinks, snack & noodles.

They provide free laundry, and free refreshments (instant noodles, tea and coffee) at common areas at level 1.

Have stayed here many times and rooms are kept in very good conditions with adequate supplies of amenities.

Rooms were clean and well-maintained, whilst free tea and coffee were also provided.

My room was spotless clean, and everything in the whole place says “welcome”.

Our pair of twin rooms were clean, comfortable, and more than adequate.

Stayed here for four nights with my mom in a twin room and thought it was great!

but to be fair, we've booked the cheapest room (standard double room) and hey, land in taipei is expensive!

We would like to thank those house-keepers for keeping our rooms at tip top conditions everyday.

The room was clean and big for Asia standards.

Very clean rooms and we loved the design of the pantry sitting area where we have supper on a daily basis.

Quite reasonable considering I paid about SGD$100 per night per room.

The rooms inspire of being small felt cozy and well designed, always stocked up with snacks and hot beverages for your own consumption.

I can only concur with previous reviews: you’d be hard-pressed to find this level of service and comfort in a 5-star hotel, and staff are so kind, sweet and helpful it boggles the mind – you can tell it comes from the heart!

but this exit got 2 flights of stairs with no elevator.

Parents with strollers do not that there is no lift there and the flight of stairs is about 3 storey high as it will lead you to B3 of the station.

However if you have heavy luggage I still suggest to take a taxi as on the way there is stairs.

My family was very happy with how clean our room and bathroom was.

As mentioned the room was large and clean, with a really great shower and a tiny Japanese-style bathtub I tried out.

even though i think i could save more money eating outside, food was good,  room was super clean and very spacious room.

The cleaning is above the standard with towel is clean enough.

Room clean and great for four of us, easy access to public transit, breakfast buffet have variety of choices from west to east!

I recently stayed at the Taipei Garden Hotel and we were very happy with the cleanliness and the stuff are really helpful.
