We had a fantastic view of the beach and could not have asked for better service.

Gotta get that last minute beach fix in, plus we had business at CNU.

It's just old hotel after old hotel facing the beach (so basically lots of amazing views from very run-down hotel rooms).

We vacation in VA beach every year around this time.

The employees were terrific.The location was great and the access to the beach was perfect.

Great Hotel clean the staff was friendly and helpful my family really enjoyed being on the beach and also the view from the balcony of the room had a king suite very spacious enough room for Everyone to be comfortable

Every time we come to VA Beach we stay at this hotel because of Joseph & Reosmary!

The location was great right on the beach across from a Walgreens, Sweet Frog and Pizzeria.

You are literally on the beach, which makes the commute and everything you need for the beach easy to access.

We spent 3 nights so one day was at the beach and one was spent at the hotel pool.

Beach front rooms face due East so the sunrise is stunning.

We have stayed at many hotels in the VA beach area, and I can confidently say this is the best!

This hotel is right on the boardwalk overlooking the beach.

Couple that with the beachfront and this was a phenomenal weekend.

There were a few good things: ocean view, breakfast & low cost parking.

Breakfast was a hot breakfast or cereal and was delicious.

Vicki was very polite and accommodating a few minutes after the breakfast area closed and let me fill my thermos with piping hot coffee (fresh).

Cons: So run down - stained furniture, heavy door to patio that would get stuck, grime built up on the on/off switches.

There were various cracks and stains on the walls, as well as marks on the furniture. The bathroom counter had a crack in it (maybe it was granite?)

The furniture had no signs of wear or tear.

When we checked in I believe her name was Bre, she was awesome, we were missing a piece of furniture is our room and SHE brought it to us, I believe maintenance was busy.

even though the room looked renovated, there were stains on the furniture fabric in the living area and housekeeping never replenished the toiletries or coffee items my 2nd day.

but hard to make rusty soap trays, worn out furniture, and old carpet look good no matter what you do.

This is an old hotel and the furniture, carpet, doors, hallways and elevator shows it.

However, the furniture in our room was wet - had to put towels on the couch so we could sit and had to get batteries for the remote (they were missing).

The good:  remodeled bathroom with a very nice shower; a very good breakfast bar; location on the boardwalk; easy access from the room to the parking garage

The not so good: a very weird hotel layout that included our bedroom window which looked out on an interior hallway; cheap, uncomfortable furniture in the living area; a somewhat old and grungy overall look; only fair wifi

There was some refurbishing going on with tile work on the elevator floor and painting of the parking garage.

Our room supposedly had been recently renovated and it appeared the carpet was new and perhaps the shower was new.

The only negative is the key card system and the balcony - both could use some updating.

The ladies at the front desk recommended CP Shuckers for our lunch and it did not disappoint!

We were able to walk to a fantastic seafood restaurant about a block away & there are several places to shop nearby.

There are many restaurants and bars nearby so once you park the car, you can walk to everything.

I discovered lots of places to eat, a pharmacy across the street, and a microbrewery all within a 10 min walk.

Many hotels due to Covid-19 have either completely shut down their pools, room service etc.

Elevators so slow, used stairs most of the time which smelled of urine.

There were a couple of times we did take the stairs because of a long wait.

Very unsatisfied.. first room wasn’t ready until 7pm, air barely working in room, shower leaking water all on the floor, only one elevator working had to take stairs.

We requested a room from the 4th floor or lower as i have knee issues and cant walk alot of stairs.

There are stairs at both ends of the hall so at times you could hear the constant banging of the stairwell door or housekeeping.

There was only 1 elevator working most of the time, so the unloading of the car and the walk up and down the several flights of stairs got old quick.

When I caught up to her, 3 floors of stairs later, here is what I found:  A distraught 13 year old girl in tears looking on in despair in the tiny restaurant kitchen as an incredibly calm, reassuring, and determined superhero duo of Tracey and Sheila from the hotel restaurant staff were wading methodically through three disgusting bags of breakfast refuse with maniacal focus.

Room was set up nice with a sitting area oceanfront and a separate bedroom.

All rooms have a lovely ocean and boardwalk view.

The hotel is right on the ocean, views from the balcony were amazing, dolphin watching was the best!

The toilet paper holder was detached from the wall and the support brackets were on the floor.

but right against the wall, it would leak all over the bathroom floor.

The beach-side entrance is a small door that leads into the parking garage and elevators, with an outdoor shower on the wall next to it.

On another note, the water from the shower was leaking onto the floor, there was a peace order disturbance outside my room, and there were flying ants on the wall in my room.

When I pulled on it, it came halfway out of the wall.

but we frequently heard extremely loud bangs that actually rattled the walls and TV.

The wall facing the oceanfront is completely glass and this makes it possible to view the ocean from the moment that you open the door going into the room.

The hotel is centrally located a short walk north to Neptune and south to the pier.

The beach was very clean & steps away from hotel.

The location was excellent - right on the beach, close to market and restaurants.

The location was right on the boardwalk beach, with a shower for our feet right outside the front door, great location.

The balcony (8th floor) had two resin chairs and table and had a wonderful view of the beach.

What sets it apart in my mind is the customer service, cleanliness, price, free breakfast and free parking versus the newer hotels on the north end of the beach that overcharge for everything.

Overall a very pleasant stay, would highly recommend for anyone spending time at VA beach.

Our room was a corner room on 10th floor.Great view of beach and boardwalk which were steps away from lobby.Balcony was good size with 2 chairs and small table.Bedroom as you enter with a flat screen TV,very comfortable bed.There is a pocket door separating the bedroom from living area for those late sleepers,lookin at you wifey!

we have the early Indian summer temps thru the weekend and perfect sunrise and sunsets from the 8th floor.

We had a queen suite, with a balcony that had an amazing view of the ocean.

It’s super clean, quiet and has breathtaking views.

Yes, as an older hotel, the walls tend to be a bit thin.

So, here we are at 11:45 pm, and the loud partying through the thin walls continues.

There is a hide away door that pulls from the wall in the hallway to give privacy to the bedroom from the living room.

Our bathroom wasn't quite clean; there was dark hair left in the tub and stuck to the wall.

The room is tired from a décor basis and we were cold because the window system is not well sealed where it hits the wall so cold air comes in.

Wonderful location if you want to be near the pier, most restaurants are a good walk.

The rooms are OUTDATED & dirty i had not choice all the hotels was sold out.

Our room was not cleaned properly, mattresses were of poor quality, sand covered the floor, bathroom walls dirty.

As soon as you get out, the hallway is cramped and dirty.

It's clearly in need of renovations, from the rust of our patio door being so bad it wouldn't shut unless locked, to the indoor pool being disgustingly dirty.

Dirty, run down & poorly maintained was the entirety of the hotel.

Hotel was basically out of date and dirty.

After being moved 3 times we where put in a room where it was just as dirty.

Our only complaint was that the floor was dirty.

There are only 2 elevators--1 was broken and the other took forever so we had to keep using the stairs.

One of the elevators was out of order resulting in long waits from the 9th floor.

Only 1 elevator worked there entire stay, it was finally working the day we left.

Everything was good except  one elevator wasn’t working made it crazy trying to get up or down.
