One room had no power to the power points - only 1 in the room worked which was not ideal, there was no liquid soap in the soap dispenser, there was only 1 towel in one of the bathrooms and when reception was rung requesting another towel we were told to come to reception to collect more if we wanted them!

We could not get our WiFi to connect and the front desk did everything in their power to work around what appears to be a system failure on their side.

We had a problem with checking out as the man on duty was struggling to use the credit card gadget

Reception staff on-duty at the time was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room quite adequate and both dinner and breakfast good.

Came here on a journey to Italy for a overnight stop a lovely hotel the rooms was clean and very big and the food was also nice the staff were helpful and friendly this is a four star hotel located in a town in Italy.

The reception and rooms are in a different part to the bar/breakfast room and the dining room is in another different place, across the courtyard.

Quiet, clean and a great welcome; the staff is very helpful for eating out ( if you don't choose the restaurant on the premises which serves local specialities) and  visiting the town.

We were very happy with our room and the staff could not have been more helpful and cheerful during our 5 night stay.

but professional staff gave us a vase to use for our fresh flowers that we were given by family. Sophisticated.

Everyone from the manager to the breakfast staff were wonderful.

but only one of the two advertised English language channels worked.

The breakfast buffet is not very big and the tv is as old and as of poor quality that no channel can be watched.

Wifi is also working properly and so is the airconditioning.

My suggestion is for the hotel to have an IT service provider do a complete trouble shoot of their system and make sure their WiFi works.

After getting into Vercelli and paying for some internet on my phone we navigated to the Vercelli Palace which looked like a cheap building on a sparse retail park made out of coloured Lego.

- Pricepoint - small town Italy is cheap!

but we were in rooms at the rear of the adjoining restaurant, so reception in the main building may be better.

They put on a good cold spread for brekkie, served up by grandad I think!

I, too, had a feeling of "what are we doing here?".

i felt intimidated, bullied and in the end a little scared.

Being a group of three, the owner kindly gave us two fairly large rooms instead of only one as reserved, for the same price.

But Remember, your not paying a fortune so on this basis and the staff I give it 10/10.

Yet, lovely, cheerful owners, who are very helpful indeed.

The hotel is clean and comfortable with good sound insulation, plenty of free parking and excellent wi-fi reception.

The staff amaze me with the number if languages they can speak!

The food was not too impressive as was the service and I felt a bit robbed by a very average meal at over €50 for 2 main courses and 2 childrens meals plus two glasses of very ordinary wine.

The outside bar has a lounge part and the server is warm and friendly.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful, even guiding us by car to a nearby farm restaurant (delicious) as theirs was not open that evening.

A road adjacent to the hotel led us to a small community with a chuch that has four bells that toll in a fascinating cacophonous pattern.

The accommodation is set in a vineyard and the owners produce beautiful wine and Spumanti you can buy and drink onsite.

The Cascina Faletta is run by the most lovely couple you´ll ever meet - the service and smiles makes the stay wonderful.

Restaurent looks well managed and food was good, especially, sorry I cannot remember the name on menu, they serve many kinds of the regional special food.

Similarly, if you speak with 1 open window from the second floor, everyone around the pool will hear.

Clean and comfortable, very friendly staff, good location, only negative room had a sickly sweet odor, seems to be a trend in some places to spray a sweet air freshener.

The only problem for me was the air-conditioning used for heating my room.

Location is very good, owners are very helpful.

We really didn't want to leave, our hosts were warm and friendly and couldn't have made us feel more welcome.

It is set back from a quiet village and the sounds you hear are mainly church bells and an occasional donkey or dog.

Well, lets call it a perfect stay…
Arriving around 9.30 p.m. a very friendly reception (still at this tine!).

Rooms are huge, food is great also wines and the staff super nice.

Pools and whole hotel were clean and tidy, and the staff very welcoming.

Coming back to Hotel Ariotto is like returning to a welcoming family - and indeed the family who owns this hotel live on the premises.

We couldn't eat in the main restaurant as two bus loads of tourists had taken it over so we were taken to this other very odd part of the old hotel.

They seem to get a lot of their summer business from groups of German tourists who use Hotel Ariotto as their base hotel while taking their busses on day trips to various sights and sites in this part of Italy.

Internet is not the best, even at the reception, and depending on your interest, it can be a downer that in the village itself there is nothing to do.

but heard you can get wifi in reception area.

There is no free wifi in the rooms which was a hassle,

The only weakness is the intermittent internet service which I suspect may be the case in many parts of Italy,Joe
