but far enough away so as to not get disturbed by the noise/We stayed on a half-board basis and the food and selection were very good.

but far enough to be very quiet in the room when music is playing from nearby bars, we Stayed in junior suite and it was a lovely room with a double balcony, and big very comfortable bed, rainfall shower with separate jacuzzi bath, the food was excellent loads of choice both at breakfast and evening meal, Antonio in the restaurant was a lovely friendly man and always remembered our room number.

We used the lots of the facilities, the bar, pool, spa and found everything was just lovely from the great customer service and a friendly chat to all areas being spotlessly clean and the bar prices were competitive to the surrounding bars so we happily used the bar.

Pool area was the highlight of our holiday for our 5 year old son (and me) the pool was heated to a good temperature , good enough to stay in for hours.

We were bed and breakfast only so cannot comment on the evening meals ,

The pool area was spotless, the drinks were cheap, the pool water was on the colder side but with 33/34 degree heat it was needed.

It is the best food I have had at any hotel.

We especially loved the perfect welcome touches left for us to enjoy in our room, thank you, this made our stay extra special.

Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable .

The first time we have been away since my wife had a stroke 3 years ago found the hotel very accommodating and the room was massive and adapted to our requirements.

The rooms are air conditioned so they also remain very comfortable with the doors closed.

We have booked the suite this time (room 909).

Big thanks to Eduardo on reception it was our 36th wedding anniversary on 31st and without asking he immediately upgraded our room and gave usa free spa day for good measure.

The room was quiet and comfortable with a balcony.

Check in was very efficient and my room was available an hour or so before the check in time.

though was the customer service, especially from Diego & Martijn from the reception team after I returned home and discovered I had left an item in my room.

I am writing this review from my sunbed here at the helios right now I would like to thank the helios Hotel for sending champagne to our room celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and an upgrade room which was a great surprise.

So a big thankyou to one and all at the Helios Benidorm Have a wounderful Christmas and New Year we shall definitely be back.

The staff were all cheerful and looked like they wanted to be there,helping make everyone feel welcome.

The rooms were spotless and well decorated, only negative part was were the shower head was positioned in the bath it was the half across the wall not at the end so trying to shower without spraying the place was very hard.

no draws for clothes just a single hole in the wall for 6 shirts to be hanged.

We stated in accessible room in first floor which brings my to my only gripe, why are accessible rooms not given access to rooms with pool view and the afternoon sunshine strange to say the least, instead we have room with view of painted hotel wall and no afternoon sunshine.

Room had twin beds  and a small flat screen tv on the wall.

but beneath the various face-lifts is a budget hotel with paper thin walls and a particularly questionable customer demographic.

The shower is fixed to the wall at a very low heigh which made for an impossible shower for my 6’5” boyfriend,

but to be expected as a party place, just wish the walls were thicker so less noise

Only 2 small negatives - at times  you could hear people coming home in the early hours or doors shuttung, general moving about because walls are maybe a bit thin.

The walls felt quite thin so you could hear a lot of banging about.

There’s nothing swanky about it just excellent value for money, great food and drink with all inclusive and the service is superb.

The AI offering was very good, branded drinks and different types of wine, not just 'red, white or rose'.

We upgraded to all inclusive upon checking in, we are both fussy eaters and we found something to eat everyday, the hotel is only a short walk into the old town too if we did fancy something different for dinner.

The food for a 4* AI was as good as can be for a buffet.

Lots to do with in 20 min , there was a bus straight out side the hotel every 45 mins, You pay 10 euro deposit each for clean towels change them at your leisure, 1 euro deposit each for a pool glass , 3 euro day for the safe , your mini fridge is restocked daily if required ,water ,Pepsi, 2 cans beer all inclusive, the staff at the pool work very hard nothing is too much of a problem,The reception staff work long hours, very helpful, a great holiday thank you.

All inclusive plus: This was brilliant- you have to upgrade to this if you want to use the other hotels.

We booked all inclusive and the food was plentiful and there was quite a few different choices.

Hotel- the wristband is great, it acts as your proof of AI at every bar by tapping and also entry into the toilets and your room.

All inclusive has premium drinks and bar staff are very friendly.

Everything was clean and the restaurant surprised us with excellent breakfast and good all-inclusive service.

The food is typical all inclusive and passes at a good level!

They refill your minibar in your room every day , without charging you like other hotels make you pay for it whether you are all inclusive or not.

Food & drink - we were all inclusive and the food was good always something to eat, lots of choice at breakfast with cereals, danishes, porridge, cooked breakfast fruit, pancakes, waffles with hot chocolate sauce.

The room is a great size, only thing missing is they don't have balconies, housekeeping spotless, and premium drinks provided at bar with all inclusive.

The food was amazing ( all inclusive ) so much choice and the staff were brilliant.

The bar downstairs at reception doesn’t feel like you can fully relax and enjoy the full all inclusive package.

Only comments are if you like a big pool and balcony this hotel may not be for you,

The only downside was the small pool area and the fact there is no balcony.

However after this stay I wouldn’t book anywhere without a balcony again.

Firstly, you probably know before booking that there are no balconies

No rooms have balcony’s which is a shame and hard to dry wet things.

We struggled with a relaxing area during the day and between evening meal and entertainment time, as there are no balcony’s and the seating area is a passage way outside of the hotel and in need of warm coats to be able to sit there.

Remember this hotel has NO BALCONIES in any room so DO NOT EXPECT A BALCONY.

but a little disappointed there a no balconies in rooms.

Is cold but on a hot day it was really nice and refreshing as when you got out the pool you was back at a normal temperature.

but not overly cold and there is a kettle and coffee and tea in the room which you may need as the bar closes early

The cocktails (thumbs down) all pre made in bottles so basically syrups but there is other spirits available.

There is no music and it’s cold in the non summer months.

but in a hidden, shaded area and cold to sit by.

Proper seafood would selection would also be good cold and hot.

but we knew this ,food veey good roof top bar wow stunning view and carole was lovely ,Also shout out to lady in restaurant think she was manager lovely jubley she would say 😀 The only down fall is there isn't anywhere to sit except few tables under cover which was like a wind tunnel it was so cold there at night as the bar downstairs didn't open till 9.30 which is veey late I would return but maybe not late on due to not having warm place to sit at night

We knew the pool would be too cold at this time of year,

Issues everyday with the air conditioning not working and fridge getting refilled with cold drinks.

We were then offered a very welcome glass of cold cava.

There is no inside bar space when it’s cold.

went there last year for my 65 th in January being this hotel before it really changed nothen like it was food cold and very poor more food for anyone

Again, same as last visit, check-out was impersonal and quite a cold experience.

but the weather was mixed and too cold to be out side, even though there was heaters.

There is a lack of comfortable seating or a real lounge area as when we were there it was cold at nights  and sitting at the tables at the entrance was like being in a wind tunnel.

As on our previous visits the food is very hit or miss, far to often the food was bordering on warm to cold, it’s a poor show when you have to watch for the chef to come out of the kitchen with hot food to ensure you got something hot to eat.

Ended up eating out every day although had booked all inclusive as food cold / Luke warm in the hotel and I found the restaurant like a school canteen with food incredibly boring and repetitive

No nice seating areas in evening and cold outside.

but feel that people need to be made aware of the situation at this hotel currently.we were told of a virus sweeping the country but at no point were we advised to stay in our rooms to stop the spread if the problem was a virus and not the cold food being served.A really disappointing first visit to Benidorm!

Brilliant hotel ideally placed food and drink both excellent.

The food and drinks was  excellent and all the staff were very helpful at all times.

The location, rooms, service, pool, drinks and food were all excellent.

There was also a mini bar in the room containing water, soft drinks and beer, which was restocked daily at no extra cost!

however another market behind the new town 40 mins walk on a Wednesday and Sunday about 300 stalls fake bags, clothes etc and you can haggle so we went twice 

Shop around for food etc one place 12 euros for two cones, another 39 euros for an espadada, several bars have deals on cocktails and drinks etc.

Service, food and drinks 10/10 will definitely return.

We loved our room with a view, the food and drink, the proximity of the hotel to the beach and the friendliness of the staff.

Excellent food en drinks, all premium brands.

however they have a great roof top bar, serving soft and alcoholic drinks (no tea or coffee - which would be great after dinner).

Downstairs seating was also pleasant to enjoy a drink before dinner.

So if you enjoy a few drinks before lunch or before your evening meal in a warm hotel lounge you will be disappointed.

The range of drinks and cocktails is very good.

This was my first time in 20yrs going away,& my first time going to Benidorm.We had a brilliant time, & if we go again I would definitely come back to this hotel .the staff were friendly & the hotel was lovely.

Check in was great and really friendly and they put Mum in the room next to us.

We spent last week at the Villa del Mar and overall it was a very positive experience.The welcome received from  staff was first class and the prosecco and chocolates and complimentary drinks in fridge were a lovely touch.The reception staff and restaurant and bar staff were always very friendly and extremely helpful.The beach front location was one of the best features.The food was  excellent with plenty of variety.

The pool is minute with only a few beds( not single) and no shade, and the bar has no seating area and not very friendly staff , so as a result , most people have to go on the beach across the road and pay for loungers and umbrellas .

Staff are fabulous, friendly and work super hard all day long.

From amazingly friendly staff the minute we walked through the door, offering us some bubbly as we were checking in, to the beautiful sea view rooms that were spotless!

Hotel clean and most staff friendly enough

We found all of the staff extremely friendly and very helpful, always willing to give assistance when needed.

Staff were excellent and friendly, it was clean food was great couldn't ask for a better time and the kids enjoyed it wanted to stay longer as they had a really great time as well.

This hotel is something else fantastic staff friendly and helpful,rooms are quite spacious clean we had a sea view spectacular,food great something for everyone excellent choices,rooftop bar offers a great bar with premium drinks and again spectacular views pool area was a little disappointing doesn’t go with the hotel if that makes sense all in all this hotel is well worth a stay.

The rooftop bar with sun loungers on level 9 has amazing views and the lady who is serving at the bar there is so helpful and friendly as are the rest of the hotel stafd they can't do enough for you.

but most importantly FOOD LABELING MUST BE CORRECT,  OR YOU WILL KILL SOMEONE,  would I return NO FAR BETTER HOTELS IN BENIDORM, however sea view great,
