Melia Benidorm has a fantastic range of tasty food and the hot breakfast reminds us of the UK.

I’m so glad I didn’t pay an extra €19 a day for the evening meal to be included judging by breakfasts quality.

You were ment to get waiter service for breakfast, and enjoy the experience of premium drinks.

We accepted this as we were informed we could have drinks ans take them out a different breakfast experience served to you and a better room.

Breakfast in my opinion isn’t worth it.

Food: breakfasts there was so much choice and very good quality.

Don't listen to bad reviews.. here now and can't fault the hotel.. We are here  booked Bed and Breakfast..

but tried the dinner once 🤢 breakfast was ok but have had much better in other hotels.

- the buffet food was bang average every day.

We were Bed/Breakfast very nice & so much choice & plentiful. Rituals products in the bathroom pool towels are free as is the safe in your room (always paid in other hotels in Benidorm.)

Breakfast and salad bar were OK, meals at night were not.

Breakfast was good lots of variety just some things not labelled in English so thought it was a hash brown and was fish..
Great location few bars nearby with entertainment,  the corner bar across the road  cheap beer and food and food home made chips were gorgeous.

The Melia has quite a few bars and restaurants across the road,  saving you the walk to the main area of bars, The Rock & Roll Bar is 5min away,  next to Wok Chinese restaurant, Corner Bar, and Sinatras Premium,  Tropical Bar all great venues .

Breakfast was fabulous and the staff in the bar are great.

but got nothing in response (except for reception staff and gentleman on the door of the restaurant)
I wouldn't stay again or recommend ithowever, this is only my opinion and I'm sure others will have their opinion and like it.

Lucky the hospital was next door or the night could have ended disastrously.

The only downside to it currently is the noise I’m
Not going to lie even with the doors closed to the balcony it is extremely loud the drilling and banging

however the beds were rock hard, like sleeping on the floor, the walls so thin you could hear the conversations next door, as well as any walking around from upstairs and if anybody nearby opened their balcony sliding door, it was as if they were coming into your room!

Cleaners knocking multiple times regardless of do not disturb signs on doors, and when cleaned, only basics done, and no top up on tea or coffee at all.

The cleaning lady knocks door once and just walks straight in and that’s with the do not disturb sign on . Unacceptable.

On the first morning, we were awoken by Jack hammers and pile drivers from the new hotel they are building next door, and continued until 8.00pm.

Every single night there were youngsters banging and kicking on doors and on one occasion I actually thought there was a fight outside our door

The lift door closed on my companions arm and cut it quite bad, reception just said "if you have insurance we will call an ambulance" Eventually gave us a bandage so we did not get blood on their bed.

I complained to the restaurant door man who shrugged his shoulders.

As for the room, the LED Lights around the bed don't work and the lamp in the room by the sliding door is faulty.

Fridge door doesn’t close properly also tiles are broken .

After banging on the door for several minutes was let back in and told the situation was a false alarm.

I was on 19th floor the room was ok, looking around headboard in a bad way sofa  full of stains, patio doors did not lock glass broken on balcony.

The lock to the patio doors was broken and it had a flimsy catch as a bodge -

Been to Benidorm 4 times and always stayed next door at the flamingo oasis, we thought we would have a change and stay here as we have seen what its like from outside when we last there.

The first night we slept we were woken up at 8AM (and every other morning for the next 11 days) to the cleaning ladies - extremely loud getting ready to work and dropping mops etc continuously also slamming the doors.

There are no floor numbers or arrows showing on any of the lifts except for the ground floor, so you never really know when one will come, which is a bit annoying, especially if you're with someone who is a bit older and has to get from one end of the lifts to the other before the doors close again.

to find our bedroom door left open and no towels .. clearly the maid had intended to return

You could hear the grating and grinding noises from the lift during the night too.

No air conditioning in lift or communal areas.

However pool floor toilets near the lifts, have cockroaches in them, I have seen three during my stay and won’t use them anymore.

The lifts are absolutely not ample for the number of people staying in this hotel.

but had trouble with the lifts , waited 25 mins one morning as some weren’t working my daughter who was on the 13 th floor and had to bump down 13 flight of stairs with her 2yr old twins in the buggy

Only 1 negative is the lifts were too slow or not working, we waited a while as had a push chair

Lots of lifts (elevators) so no worries there.

but never waited anymore than 1 minute for a lift.

When we got to our room ( please make sure that you are not in a hurry to go anywhere as the lifts are very very slow).

INSUFFICIENT FUNCTIONING ELEVATORS AND TOILETS AT TIME OF VISIT.

Due to the size of the hotel there could also be a bit of a wait for the lifts at busy times.

Unfortunately none of the lifts had Air Con fitted.

Only 3 lifts worked on the side of the hotel we stayed on so a couple times it took a wee while

All that happened was that there was a stampede at 9.30 and I mean a stampede, towels were chucked on beds and then people just disappeared, I saw one guy out towels on ten beds and then just come back and lift them at 2 without the beds being laid on so the hotel need to sort this out.

but are seriously understaffed, not for kids at alll, full of stag partys, also waited 15- 20 mins for the elevator a fee times aswell

but unfortunately the experience was poor.

Firstly the hot food options really was beyond poor, seasoned to the point of inedible, sometimes stone cold, or food options not replenished by the kitchen thus giving less choices for the dining room.

Also the room was in general disrepair with badly fitting potion doors, worn out headboards and very poor air con

On a deeper look into the cleanliness of the room it was very very poor, fluff between bedside cabinets old serviette down the back of bedside cabinet, old pamphlet screwed up and stuck behind television and 2 cocktail sticks on the floor under vanity table.

The air con is very poor in the rooms, more like a fan and the quality of the breakfast is not great.

but the choice of food was quite poor low quality and too much pork being offered.

This hotel is in serious need of renovation, it should now way be given 4 star status a 3 and a poor 3 at that

We thought this was poor in comparison with other half board holidays we have had, which usually include some water, soft drinks or even wine/beer with dinner.

Will be eating out for rest of week it is that poor.

Hotel staff miserable and of no help most with very poor English.

Other than that the experience was extremely poor for a 4 star hotel.

Dining room far to noisy could not eat the bacon it was like rubber very poor quality pool area is badly designed to many trees it looks good  you 
 Go for the sun and a very large majority of the sun beds have large palm trees and the trees block the Sun then I checked out and they informed me there are no charges to my room When I got home they charged my credit card £3-90 for peanuts which was not me far from would not return.John

Canteen food poor with no service unless you grabbed somebody.

One poor meal was a beef/ lamb stew type dish that was full of bones and gristle.

However 
I was disappointed with the evening meals , just very poor 
the salad bar was good

but one night it was extremely poor, we could not really understand why, maybe it's the world of cut backs we  are living in and the chefs haven't always got good quality produce to work with.

I'm a side sleeper and woke multiple times each night with a completely numb arm which meant poor sleep for all the seven nights I was there.

God forbid we, as paying guests, didn't want to stand (with a plate full of food that was getting cold) and wait on the slow staff clearing a table!

Worst hotel ever, cold food at every meal, 3 men crammed into a room for 2 , rude bar staff, deliberately slow to serve despite only having a queue of about 5 guests, without doubt the worst hotel ever, booked for my husbands 60 th which was spoiled because of the rubbish service, despite being all inclusive the eat and drank out everyday as service was that bad !!

but they are very slow, have to put bread in 3 times.

When we arrived it was a slow process of checking in.

Check in can be extremely slow (ok if there’s no queue) the computer system seems to take ages to check in guests also could do with maybe extra staff being such a large hotel.

but tap was very slow so brushing teeth took a while.

Check in was quite slow and we had a problem getting a kettle from reception..That was rectified though.

The meat was the cheapest cuts slow cooked to to soften

Very slow to check in, food at breakfast was below par and the general service from the staff serving at the various bars has been really poor.

Staff seemed to be quite slow, they could have done with more staff.

but check in so so slow and there was only one peron in front of us, would i go back again afraid NOT.

Check in took a long time, the staff were very slow a common theme throughout (inc bars etc).

Check-in was painfully slow on a Saturday due to arrival of many guests for the weekend.

Large spacious hotel just let down by very slow check in and check out procedure.

I stayed at this hotel in September I really enjoyed my stay there the rooms were kept very clean and the meals at breakfast and the evening were of a high standard I would recommend anyone to stay there

but a microwave was there to warm up the bacon and sausages.

Plenty of choice including bacon, eggs etc and continental with lovely staff.

Breakfast was very good with all the usual that you would find as in continental all the fruit cheeses ham etc and bacon egg beans etc to keep us English people's happy lol.

Very happy to have booked this hotel, the rooms are a good size and very quiet and comfortable, there are 2 pools the main one is a good size and there are plenty of sun beds the roof pool is also good with some excellent views,the staff are friendly, we are only on bed and breakfast

Lovely hotel, staff brill, stayed half board breakfast good with choice of lunch or dinner which we thought was good.

We went half board and you had breakfast and choice of either lunch or dinner.

Breakfast: The chefs at the Hotel Deloix Aqua Centre have improved with each new visit/assessment I make to this excellent venue.

We were there on a bed and breakfast basis and I'm glad we didn't go half board.

We are a family of 4 with 2 school-age boys and we were looking for a holiday that ticked all the boxes which this hotel does as follows:

The food is fantastic, lots of healthy salads, fresh fish, meats, vegetables, paella etc.

Restaurant staff great  we were half board and went in for breakfast and lunch .

We were half board, so opted for breakfast and lunch.

The lobby is very cold and drafty so it is not pleasent to sit there in the evening.

however the cooked breakfast was not that hot, by the time I plated then got back to my table breakfast was cold.

but stone cold every day and also not the best tasting

Despite being at the restaurant door for opening on several occasions the food was always cold.

but food is served in a canteen environment and stone cold.

It was cold in the room with aircon on and hot without, the aircon is a little flaky, as in, it doesn't climatize to the setpoint temperature you want it to,  so we were quite cold as they don't have extra blankets in the room so again, you have to ask for it which is a pain in the middle of the night.

The next problem was all the food was cold and miss labled, calamari was labelled as onion rings, my friend has an allergy to sea food good job I cut in to mine first.

The outdoor pool s not for the faint hearted as the water is cold I managed one length and didn't go in it again.

Asshecut into it the blood ouzed out she mentioned this to a member of staff she told the chef i use that word loosely because he held his hands up to dismiss my wifes complaint : i had chips and some kind of chicken it was stone cold and that was ongoing for our week there this hotel has some of the best amenities i have stopped in

Strange enough the children pool had cold water,

Served cold or lukewarm, cooking utensils used for both raw and cooked foods.

There does appear to be an issue keeping the food hot and I did on a couple of occasions find some foods to be cold.

Breakfast was average, the beans were freezing cold.

One night the soup was cold I told the staff

First Day food was cold and basic thought maybe a one off next day food just as cold most of the patrons were complaining staff just shrugged there shoulders.

Food and dining was the worst aspect of this hotel for us, food cold or lukewarm and of poor qualty and the dining room did feel very hectic it didnt have a particularly pleasant feel to it, very noisey and unless you timed it right (go early) was quite frantic.

To say i could not fault this hotel would be wrong as i had one small complaint that i feel most people are agreeing with and although food choice very very good it was often not very hot and no one wants cold meats and veg .this area is letting the hotel down as had this been rectified i would have given a five star rating to this lovely hotel
We would return to the Deloix if coming back ,

There is always a good selection of fruit and salad cold meats cheeses soups and deserts, the hot food does sometimes look a little "jaded"

The entertainment at night is very poor except for one show of acrobats.

Nice facility, totally let down by extremely poor room servicing.

Contrary to the rest of his staff, the manager was totally disinterested and indicated that poor reviews on trip advisor do not bother him.

This is where it all went from good to poor.

For the reason of the food being very poor and also the entertainment the 3 stars I gave is for the rooms and the pool area just wish the outside pool was heated a bit.

The food is of a very poor standard for a four star hotel, there's very limited choice, most of the time the hot buffet food was cold, swimming in oil and looking very unappetising.

The entertainment through the day for children was poor too no music round the pool only once in the afternoon.

.The food in the restaurant is very poor,the usual thing,not warm enough and bland,and i have to say that the GALA DINNER was rubbish especially as we had to pay double for that day,we didnt even get one of the crap crackers that were being dished out and had to really hassle the waitress for the free drinks included part of the dinner,we got 1 bottle of beer and the dreggs out of a bottle of wine so be warned in future..

I found the food poor and choice very limited .

Food absolutely terrible lukewarm poor selection,gradually went down hill,problem with meat cooking, chef only cooked half a dozen at a time and then disappeared when you got to the tray it all had been taken by other guests and you had to wait again for chef to come back ,one breakfast morning no eggs waited 15 min for eggs and had to complain to restaurant staff to get food moving which they eventually did,this was most mornings,Desert and sweets poor selection and limited, water  charged at  3 euros a meal 10 days 2 meals 60 euros on water ?

The only negative about the food was the poor heat lamps as it meant the food became cold way too quickly - fix that and it would definitely have been 5 stars.

Obviously the hotel can not change the location and we were aware it was a little further out.Some of the other negatives about the hotel is that the food quality was very poor.

We were half board the breakfast was okay had plenty to choose from disappointed in the toaster for such a nice hotel having to put bread in 3 times to have it just toasted is quite poor!

At €108 for one night, I think this represents very poor value for money.

A real downside to the holiday was the very poor service in the hotel restaurant during evening meal.

Breakfast was plentiful and a delightful atmosphere, friendly staff everywhere made our stay so relaxing.

We have also booked breakfast which is of a very high standard.

but far enough to be very quiet in the room when music is playing from nearby bars, we Stayed in junior suite and it was a lovely room with a double balcony, and big very comfortable bed, rainfall shower with separate jacuzzi bath, the food was excellent loads of choice both at breakfast and evening meal, Antonio in the restaurant was a lovely friendly man and always remembered our room number.

The breakfast was plentiful and lovely and fresh, my favourite was definitely the choc doughnut!

Breakfast was beautiful every morning wide selection of food coffee all brilliant.

Buffet breakfast which has everything you could wish for.

Lovely clean hotel, staff very pleasant, breakfast has a great choice, bedroom clean and comfy, the shower was amazing, also it was my birthday while we where there and went back to our room after a brilliant night out to find Sparkling wine, macarons with chocolate and fruit and a lovely card wishing my happy birthday, was such a nice gesture, made my day.

The breakfast was fantastic with a huge choice of hot and cold food.

Breakfast was really good, and the pool area was also nice.

We enjoyed breakfast the hash browns and Rosti's were lovely.

Food breakfast cooked well amazing verity hot and cold something for everyone including champagne nice touch.

The disabled rooms were perfectly designed and the breakfast was exceptional as were the staff.

Stayed in this hotel in September, it was a lovely hotel breakfast was really nice and very handy with loads to choose from.

Breakfast was a buffet and had everything and more.

The rooms were spotless and well decorated, only negative part was were the shower head was positioned in the bath it was the half across the wall not at the end so trying to shower without spraying the place was very hard.

no draws for clothes just a single hole in the wall for 6 shirts to be hanged.

We stated in accessible room in first floor which brings my to my only gripe, why are accessible rooms not given access to rooms with pool view and the afternoon sunshine strange to say the least, instead we have room with view of painted hotel wall and no afternoon sunshine.

Room had twin beds  and a small flat screen tv on the wall.

but beneath the various face-lifts is a budget hotel with paper thin walls and a particularly questionable customer demographic.

The shower is fixed to the wall at a very low heigh which made for an impossible shower for my 6’5” boyfriend,

but to be expected as a party place, just wish the walls were thicker so less noise

Only 2 small negatives - at times  you could hear people coming home in the early hours or doors shuttung, general moving about because walls are maybe a bit thin.

The walls felt quite thin so you could hear a lot of banging about.

Room walls are very thin, we could very easily hear conversations from the neighbours, they wasn't shouting just talking, could do with sound proofing. 3.

When I got to the room I was more than happy for a single room it was huge!Two single beds a TVs on the wall that was about 45 inches, with a couple of English channels on.

My friend knocked on the wall to no avail so I decided to go to main reception.

however the rooms have paper thin walls!!

but the walls are thin and we could even  hear the man next door snoring!The pool area is clean the sunbeds are not unlocked until about 9am so no need to get up and race for a spot.

One thing to take is ear buds, as the walls are paper thin and you will hear everything being said in the neighbouring rooms or corridors.

Downside was that walls are very thin and you could hear conversations etc from adjoining rooms.

Food plentiful and defy anyone to not get something they like with such a fabulous selection.

but if you like your food hot like me there is a microwave.food may well go cold by the time you get your toast done ect,but cannot fault the food,there are different types of bread and rolls.Staff on reception are really nice and pleasant even spoke to cleaners they all seemed nice.

Typically geared towards Brits in regards to cooked breakfast.

The food is served buffet style with lots of options,

We booked the stay as bed & breakfast as we’re really happy to eat out on an evening and see what benidorm has to offer.

We only had breakfast there which was quite good.

We stayed bed and breakfast only and there was lots of delicious food from cheese, fruit, cooked breakfast, cereals and pastry’s literally there was so much to choose from and a variety of drinks available to!

Lovely hotel breakfast was gorgeous and plenty to choice from staff very helpful.

The rest of the holiday was the usual great accommodation, lovely views, pool, drinks, breakfasts etc.

Room was ok nothing too flash , breakfast was ok plenty of choice.

The 1 night we stayed we ate dinner and breakfast in a restaurant outside the hotel.

We had breakfast, lunch and dinner included and the lunch was a fully cooked affair so lots of food!

Fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, pastries etc 
Pool is lovely & well maintained.

All the sauces for breakfast were Heinz and HP.

Breakfast really good, something for everyone.

I found there was a good choice both at breakfast and dinner, and always found plenty of  fresh fruit and salads which I like.

You have to pay £30 odds for the key to ur safe which i found shocking as they emphasise that they will not take responsibility for any lost items out of the safe.

even though we have paid for this meal within n our holiday, and the woman who was patrolling us while we were there was very rude when I asked if there was anything else as we had a long journey home.

It’s absolutely pathetic having paid £700+ each just to feel unwelcome the whole time.

The price of the hotel again whilst not overly expensive, is certainly only higher because of past fame.

but I feel they need to spend a bit more time in the rooms and pay more attention to detail… like around taps… wires, light switches and outside in the bars of the balcony.

We'd opted for all-inclusive, so no need to worry about additional costs.

Do I need to put my expensive clothes, sunglasses, handbag, passport, hair straightens, make up… all in the safe?!

but luckily for them the lift was not stuck in between floors When we got into our room there was a voucher for a free drink We had 2 rooms and with what we spent in hotel it cost us about 2000euro
So so disappointed with Melia Group
