Of course the central strength of the Falesia is the wonderful staff like Carolina in the Restaurant all of whom are so friendly and helpful .

Clientele was older than expected mid October

The clientele at the hotel are slightly on the older side which I guess you would expect with an adults only hotel.

The majority of guests were older than ourselves and were largely from northern England.

The entertainment was a bit pants for my liking maybe aimed at an older crowd.

Things that could be slightly improved: 

Entertainment: The entertainment in the hotel wasnt the best I've heard/seen in previous hotels and seemed to be more suited to an older audience.

!, unfortunately we were not informed that the hotel and audience was catered more towards the older age of people, this was a bit of a shame, as we are late 20's

Yet another excellent stay at this hotel mainly middle aged or older guests

but with no atmosphere what so ever, such a shame for the artists, we ended up eating out for the last four nites of our stay as my partner said he could" nt stand another meal at the restaurant, i think Tui really needs to advertise the falessia as an older persons hotel rather than an adults only as the description is a bit misleading, we spoke to quite a few other couples who stayed at the hotel and their thoughts were the same, its a shame as the hotel could be great.

Tui entertainment catered for an older clientele, it ran according to a schedule found in the lobby, French Boules 3pm, quiz at 4.

It seems to attract an older clientele and many repeat visitors which speaks for itself as to the high standard the hotel sets.

When we first started using the GOLD hotels we found the ages to be a lot older

Most of the guests were in their 60's or 70's so a little older than us,

We both got the feeling that the food was aimed more at slightly older people as the food was a bit bland at points.

There was entertainment most nights which was aimed at the older generations.

though as I said, I think the market for the Falesia is aimed at an older generation.

Evening entertainment very poor, we went out most nights.

The evening entertainment was mostly poor except for the amazing band   'D-String' who are not to be missed!

There were 6 people in our taxi and, without exception, we were all disappointed at the poor content and felt very let down .

Night entertainment was very poor, felt like sitting in a cinema.

The weather itself was probably the worst we have ever experienced in Portugal and as The Falesia is no longer TUI gold the lack of entertainers showed as during the poor weather there was no quizzes etc that in the past the entertainers would have provided.

The food is very very poor, lots of choice

- Rather old or just poor quality towels both in the room and at the pool.

In my opinion there are a few places the hotel can improve to really make it an outstanding 4* Hotel;
Quality of the food both at breakfast & evening meal was off a poor quality
Tea/Coffee should be brought to the table at breakfast.

This ranks as my worst holiday ever so I have listed a summary of the various disappointments: 

Hotel Lobby - very dated and a poor first impression.

My wife and I thought that both nights we ate here the Buffet food was of poor quality, and " lukewarm ".

Just really poor, bland, cold often below average slop.

but again – poor quality and not really worth the money.

The pool bar gets very busy at times and the poor staff just cannot cope when it does.

The drinks service is poor and it is quite common to have to wait 15 mins for your drinks order to be delivered.

For us its Achilles Heel was the poor quality of the buffet evening meal

After 2 days no tea coffee or milk in the room-when we asked at reception we were told it was only replaced once during a weeks stay-entertainment poor apart from the dance show.

However, if like my wife you cannot eat salads main courses very poor quality.

The Thomson Production Team don't come to this hotel so poor Harry, Amy and Josh (who are not trained singers and are all pretty young) had to come up with entertainment which largely relied on Panache.

There were some downsides, for example the air conditioning was poor and the fridge , which we had to pay for, didn't get very cold.

We were so comfortable here, great staff.

Superb hotel - spotlessly clean, great staff and amazing food.

The food was brilliant in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meals and the staff were very helpful.

Exceptionally fine dining , with an exciting , beautifully balanced menu , created by an incredibly talented young chef , demonstrating maturity way beyond his years.

but was told 'No' that these  were generally for families as they had two rooms and if one was available it would cost an extra 30 euros per night, so a person with poor mobility had to take the upstairs accommodation (one bedroom).

In Conclusion 
As a result of the poor facilities we ended up spending a lot of time and money out side our resort to ensure we got the most out of our holiday.

Also had to book in advance for sports field or swim pool which was poor.

The indoor poor is for the spa and has to be booked- you need a swim cap.

So I essentially spent the week almost dying every time I got in and out the bath (when I wasn’t almost dying from throwing my guts up because of their poor hygiene standards).

The reality is a very poor condition smoby plastic playhouse with small slide.

but by lunch time it cleared up, shame but classic poor behaviour that a lot of guests copy!

Lobby small and Kids entertainment quite poor felt like sardines in can when in aug peakseason

Evening / night time staging area very poor.

The selection of foods at lunch and dinner are poor for children.

It's in playground with a poor flooring and there is a plastic Wendy house, a trampoline, a see saw and a spinny thing.

They do have an indoor poor that’s heated,

The back garden is not too well kept, the lawn are is quite poor.

Kids mini disco was poor, my son was super exited as we spoke about it a lot prior.

Lunch times were particularly poor in terms of choice and quality.

Food selection available outside of all inclusive buffet restaurant times was poor.

Meals temperature very cold and poor child of beers

The entertainment staff are brilliant fun and the evening entertainment was good quality.

We had An amazing holiday here the kids all the staff were so great and fun especially the kids club the shows were so good we will definitely be coming back the only down side was the size of the indoor pool

The waitresses that work breakfast and lunch are a credit to the hotel, lovely, polite and efficient and they remember who you are and make conversation.

All the staff are amazing especially cinthia and vanessa who do the entertainment for adults and kids.

The apartment was excellent, ample room and very clean, reception area was good there was always someone on hand to help.

Also the swimming pool was cold, we visited in April and the see was also very cold.

Outdoor pool was still too cold due to the time of year so we made use of the indoor pool which the kids loved - on the last day we did find out that there is a heated outdoor pool over the road that you can use at the sister hotel (Alfagar Village)

We enjoyed this stay that much that we have booked again to go back in June this year for another week.

Outstanding accomodation, all staff went out of their way to help in any way they could, so friendly.

The evening entertainment is poor and what we saw of the animation team, they lack enthusiasm or drive.

I do think the hotels entertainment was very poor.

The evening entertainment was very poor with only one vocalist actually getting the people to stay and watch, he was really funny and had lots of interaction with daft voices and mimicking the guests.

My only negative is the nighttime entertainment I feel it was a bit poor for the size of the complex

On one occasion  we ate dinner in the restaurant which was disappointing and  poor value.

Only a small thing would be poor girl in the pool bar on her own doing drinks food and ice cream she was great

Entertainment in the Tavern Bar was very basic, Guy playing guitar and singing, Magician ( very poor, like something from 1970), Traditional Portuguese band.

My biggest criticism is that none of the pools, including the indoor poor are heated.

They were cleaned every second day and to a very poor standard.

but after 9pm as an adult I thought it was piss poor and the reps are either singing or dancing.

Nobody from the hotel managed this aspect which was poor.

The coffee was pretty poor from the self service machines.

Indoor evening entertainment poor I didn't notice any cleaning done the whole evening plastic glasses and spillages every where, not what you expect from a holiday village sadly.

but the food was very poor so much so that we cancelled our booking for the Portugese restaurant and decided to eat out every night.We did notice that every where we ate that there were people from our hotel (you could tell from the coloured wristbands)They were all eating out for the same reason as us the food in the hotel was so poor.

Did worry about booking it seeing many negative comments and started thinking it would be a poor relative to other holiday villages.

The food in main restaurant is very poor and often I could not find anything at all to eat and I'm not a fussy eater

The first impression on arrival at Block 1 is poor.

having previously stayed at the HV Costa Del Sol, this hotel is poor in comparison.

It was tasty, with lots of options every night from salads, food just for children, fresh fish, stews, all kinds of meat and vegetable dishes, pizza, pasta and the sushi was great!

Ibrahim and  the other gentleman went out of their way to really help us.

The staff were incredible and very helpful too!

The staff were very considerate of my two kids.

We had a child with a Gluten-intolerance and he was more than well looked after - big thank you to the restaurant staff who went out of their way to help and itemize the gluten free options (although proper signage beside each option would have saved them most of the bother).

Miguel on Reception was brilliant, with impeccable customer service.

Overall, it’s a lovely resort and the team are wonderful, approachable and always helpful.

Had to queue outside when it was busy, not big enough for the hotel, didn’t feel staff friendly in there.

This is the biggest complex we’ve stayed at, probably over 500 rooms so it is busy, there are lots of kids,

These should be removed - the pool area is very busy and it upset me seeing new arrivals showing up at 11am and having to put their stuff on the floor because selfish people had reserved beds they had no plans to use until late afternoon.

but the one night we did try it was very very busy even out of season.

Don’t be drawn in by a deal incorporating zoomarine…it’s not worth it…so so busy in high season  & by time courtesy bus gets you there you’ll spend more time queuing than anything else.

It was busy so there was always going to be a small wait, we never had to wait longer than 2 or 3 minutes.

Sometimes some was like warm especially eggs and beans at breakfast, which is strange as was so busy they must have been constantly replenishing.

but for families with small children the water park pool was busy.

but does suffer from congestion in busy areas but I’m not sure that can be helped but on the whole is pretty reliable and fast enough.

although it's really busy, there's still lots of room for everyone.

It felt very busy and the music by the pool runs all day and is very loud.

Far too busy, loud people at 12am swearing and being loud right under your window.

Life guards on duty and the entertainment staff keep kids busy during the day.

We requested a low floor as the lifts do get busy.

..yes you might wait on the lifts for 3 mins at busy times

however I’d queue for it early as it gets really busy and it doesn’t have many seats.

No show cooking which we are used to at AIs.

The "hot" food was always cold, we didn't have a warm meal it was all aired (we ended up eating out a few times).

The pools were ok, just couldn’t understand why the children’s slide/water area was cold and the other small children’s pool was heated with the big pool also been cold.

The only things that let it down for us was the food (food was always cold no matter what time of day you went.

The facilities are great, unfortunately the pools are not heated so it was very cold going in and out during the day

Food was a bit repetitive and at times 
quite cold.

I would take a cold drinks flask then I wouldn’t worry about insects drowning in my vodka whilst I was in the pool!!

We went when it was 24 degrees and found the children's slide pool too cold to go in and the other pool wasn't warm either.

Didn't want to go into the pool as it was to cold.

Food in the restaurants is very good, good selection if a little cold.

Cold cheese sandwich, warm bottle of water,  juice and a slice of what seemed to be fruit cake.

There was no show cooking that you get in good hotels it's more in line with a Butlins holiday camp

Salad bar and desserts were good 

The snack bar at the side of the slides provided a small selection of sandwiches - made with bread so hard, if you haven't got your own teeth, you will struggle to chew through it

They also have self service hot &  cold drinks, beer and sangria, ice cream and stale crisps which you help yourself too

Staff overall seem miserable and do not smile much and generally grunt at you 

We visited the a la Carte Alcerim restaurant and in fairness received a beautiful meal worthy of 5 stars
