Then back on the bus and stopped At Albufeira Marina.

The Hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to Albufeira and also some excursions at a very good price.

We took the mini bus to Albufiera, Villamoura and Loulé - for the markets, there are two, so make sure you go to both, some people missed the main one.

However, there is a free shuttle bus that runs several times per day.

but it is not a walk for those with mobility issues, the hotel puts on a free shuttle bus anyway.

Beach access is by free bus or a 20-25 minute walk.

but we used their bus to visit Albufeira and Villamoura, for the day, both worth a visit and the beaches there were lovely.

We also took the hotel bus trip to Loule for the Saturday markets which was great for shopping.

Trips arranged by the hotel and free bus to the beach if wanted.

We used the hotel bus for a couple of days out and this was an excellent service.

Short bus or taxi ride to Albufeira and the same to Olhos de Agua,

If you have mobility challenges I’d advise using the hotel beach bus.

The shuttle bus is always on time, very handy for short trips to other resorts & the beach, the driver was a lovely man.

The hotel has a courtesy bus to the local beach or you can walk it and there are trips to Vilamoura and Albefuira on the courtesy bus which you can book via the reception, charges are available from reception.

We went on the trips on hotel bus and it was well worth it.

There are organised buses that run regularly, or you can just jump in a reasonably priced taxi.

SHUTTLE - The bus to the beach and Albufeira was great as it save sorting out taxis and dropped you door to door.

Of course the central strength of the Falesia is the wonderful staff like Carolina in the Restaurant all of whom are so friendly and helpful .

Throughout our stay of 10 nights the room was serviced and kept spotlessly clean by the staff who included Clara who was efficient and friendly.

Clientele was older than expected mid October

The clientele at the hotel are slightly on the older side which I guess you would expect with an adults only hotel.

The majority of guests were older than ourselves and were largely from northern England.

The entertainment was a bit pants for my liking maybe aimed at an older crowd.

Things that could be slightly improved: 

Entertainment: The entertainment in the hotel wasnt the best I've heard/seen in previous hotels and seemed to be more suited to an older audience.

!, unfortunately we were not informed that the hotel and audience was catered more towards the older age of people, this was a bit of a shame, as we are late 20's

Yet another excellent stay at this hotel mainly middle aged or older guests

but with no atmosphere what so ever, such a shame for the artists, we ended up eating out for the last four nites of our stay as my partner said he could" nt stand another meal at the restaurant, i think Tui really needs to advertise the falessia as an older persons hotel rather than an adults only as the description is a bit misleading, we spoke to quite a few other couples who stayed at the hotel and their thoughts were the same, its a shame as the hotel could be great.

Tui entertainment catered for an older clientele, it ran according to a schedule found in the lobby, French Boules 3pm, quiz at 4.

It seems to attract an older clientele and many repeat visitors which speaks for itself as to the high standard the hotel sets.

When we first started using the GOLD hotels we found the ages to be a lot older

Most of the guests were in their 60's or 70's so a little older than us,

We both got the feeling that the food was aimed more at slightly older people as the food was a bit bland at points.

There was entertainment most nights which was aimed at the older generations.

though as I said, I think the market for the Falesia is aimed at an older generation.

Evening entertainment very poor, we went out most nights.

The evening entertainment was mostly poor except for the amazing band   'D-String' who are not to be missed!

There were 6 people in our taxi and, without exception, we were all disappointed at the poor content and felt very let down .

Night entertainment was very poor, felt like sitting in a cinema.

The weather itself was probably the worst we have ever experienced in Portugal and as The Falesia is no longer TUI gold the lack of entertainers showed as during the poor weather there was no quizzes etc that in the past the entertainers would have provided.

The food is very very poor, lots of choice

- Rather old or just poor quality towels both in the room and at the pool.

In my opinion there are a few places the hotel can improve to really make it an outstanding 4* Hotel;
Quality of the food both at breakfast & evening meal was off a poor quality
Tea/Coffee should be brought to the table at breakfast.

This ranks as my worst holiday ever so I have listed a summary of the various disappointments: 

Hotel Lobby - very dated and a poor first impression.

My wife and I thought that both nights we ate here the Buffet food was of poor quality, and " lukewarm ".

Just really poor, bland, cold often below average slop.

but again – poor quality and not really worth the money.

The pool bar gets very busy at times and the poor staff just cannot cope when it does.

The drinks service is poor and it is quite common to have to wait 15 mins for your drinks order to be delivered.

For us its Achilles Heel was the poor quality of the buffet evening meal

After 2 days no tea coffee or milk in the room-when we asked at reception we were told it was only replaced once during a weeks stay-entertainment poor apart from the dance show.

However, if like my wife you cannot eat salads main courses very poor quality.

The Thomson Production Team don't come to this hotel so poor Harry, Amy and Josh (who are not trained singers and are all pretty young) had to come up with entertainment which largely relied on Panache.

There were some downsides, for example the air conditioning was poor and the fridge , which we had to pay for, didn't get very cold.

We were so comfortable here, great staff.

Superb hotel - spotlessly clean, great staff and amazing food.

The food was brilliant in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meals and the staff were very helpful.

The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service to the old town and Algarve Shopping centre regularly throughout the day, both a stones throw away.

Continente at algarve shopping centre and Inter Marche will provide GF beers and other food options.

The shuttle also runs to the Algarve Shopping Centre twice daily.

Would be good if they offered more shuttles e.g to other towns (there is one to Algarve shopping centre which is a nice shopping mall to visit which requires pre booking).

The Algarve Shopping Mall is also good and has a large Hypermarket.

Pro tip, if you're staying far from the reception and want to get around just get an Uber to pick you up outside your room, around €4 to Old Town and €8 to Algarve Shopping Centre.

Instead we went to the supermarket in Algarve shopping mall.

The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to Albufeira that runs frequently and also one that goes to a big shopping mall (not so frequent this one)

but close right to all amenities i.e pharmacy, shopping mall etc.

but was told 'No' that these  were generally for families as they had two rooms and if one was available it would cost an extra 30 euros per night, so a person with poor mobility had to take the upstairs accommodation (one bedroom).

In Conclusion 
As a result of the poor facilities we ended up spending a lot of time and money out side our resort to ensure we got the most out of our holiday.

Also had to book in advance for sports field or swim pool which was poor.

The indoor poor is for the spa and has to be booked- you need a swim cap.

So I essentially spent the week almost dying every time I got in and out the bath (when I wasn’t almost dying from throwing my guts up because of their poor hygiene standards).

The reality is a very poor condition smoby plastic playhouse with small slide.

but by lunch time it cleared up, shame but classic poor behaviour that a lot of guests copy!

Evening / night time staging area very poor.

The selection of foods at lunch and dinner are poor for children.

It's in playground with a poor flooring and there is a plastic Wendy house, a trampoline, a see saw and a spinny thing.

They do have an indoor poor that’s heated,

The back garden is not too well kept, the lawn are is quite poor.

Kids mini disco was poor, my son was super exited as we spoke about it a lot prior.

Lunch times were particularly poor in terms of choice and quality.

Food selection available outside of all inclusive buffet restaurant times was poor.

Meals temperature very cold and poor child of beers

The entertainment staff are brilliant fun and the evening entertainment was good quality.

We had An amazing holiday here the kids all the staff were so great and fun especially the kids club the shows were so good we will definitely be coming back the only down side was the size of the indoor pool

The waitresses that work breakfast and lunch are a credit to the hotel, lovely, polite and efficient and they remember who you are and make conversation.

All the staff are amazing especially cinthia and vanessa who do the entertainment for adults and kids.

Also the swimming pool was cold, we visited in April and the see was also very cold.

Outdoor pool was still too cold due to the time of year so we made use of the indoor pool which the kids loved - on the last day we did find out that there is a heated outdoor pool over the road that you can use at the sister hotel (Alfagar Village)

We enjoyed this stay that much that we have booked again to go back in June this year for another week.

Outstanding accomodation, all staff went out of their way to help in any way they could, so friendly.

But it’s friendly, very clean, food has lots of varieties and the pools are big enough to keep the kids entertained.

This is our third holiday here and it was perfect.

Overall, lovely holiday and great memories made and one of the best hotels we saw while there.

Segway tour….this was the highlight of our holiday, a Segway tour of Vilamoura and Quarteira, great fun.

We can't wait to come back, this hotel definately helped towards us having one of the best family holidays we've ever had.

This is my first resort holiday and I’ve seen too many episodes (2) of Benidorm and that’s frightened me for life.

We were moved to a 2 bed 2days into our holiday and it was great - very big, very clean, large balcony with table and chairs overlooking the pool and sea view in the distance.

We had a lovely winter break at this hotel from February 21st this year - The hotel is lovely, clean and has spacious rooms.

It was tasty, with lots of options every night from salads, food just for children, fresh fish, stews, all kinds of meat and vegetable dishes, pizza, pasta and the sushi was great!

Pizza was over cooked, too crispy for the kids to enjoy and cooked from frozen (this was confirmed by the waiter) and not freshly made!!

The pools and children's outdoor activities are excellent.

The resort is nice, fun splash parks for kids.

I would recommend this resort to families with children.

LOADS for the kids to do and you can use the other hotels facilities which were part of the hotel group.

The staff were very considerate of my two kids.

However the slide pools were definitely quite tame for our boys at their age.

Plus if you have kids you need to take all your stuff over and back across a main road to get where entertainment is on.

Really enjoyed our stay, I was with my two teenage sons.

The kids area was always packed and it looked like a lot of fun

but would think about maybe bringing lunch for my son next time.

Overall this is a very good hotel for families with children.

It's a hive of activity for toddlers and young children.

The entertainment was brilliant for the kids parrot shows to kids discos was tops and the kids loved it.

Great location, great facilities for kids , rooms are great , kitchen is equipped with anything you need for cooking ,

Went with two friendly families, the amenities were very good, kids spent quality time on different water rides and pool.

The evening entertainment is poor and what we saw of the animation team, they lack enthusiasm or drive.
