Then back on the bus and stopped At Albufeira Marina.

The Hotel also offers a shuttle bus service to Albufeira and also some excursions at a very good price.

We took the mini bus to Albufiera, Villamoura and Loulé - for the markets, there are two, so make sure you go to both, some people missed the main one.

However, there is a free shuttle bus that runs several times per day.

but it is not a walk for those with mobility issues, the hotel puts on a free shuttle bus anyway.

Beach access is by free bus or a 20-25 minute walk.

but we used their bus to visit Albufeira and Villamoura, for the day, both worth a visit and the beaches there were lovely.

We also took the hotel bus trip to Loule for the Saturday markets which was great for shopping.

Trips arranged by the hotel and free bus to the beach if wanted.

We used the hotel bus for a couple of days out and this was an excellent service.

Short bus or taxi ride to Albufeira and the same to Olhos de Agua,

If you have mobility challenges I’d advise using the hotel beach bus.

The shuttle bus is always on time, very handy for short trips to other resorts & the beach, the driver was a lovely man.

The hotel has a courtesy bus to the local beach or you can walk it and there are trips to Vilamoura and Albefuira on the courtesy bus which you can book via the reception, charges are available from reception.

We went on the trips on hotel bus and it was well worth it.

Location is in a quiet area and is approx 10mins from old town in a taxi ..
Hotel has its own mini bus to take you to and from the local beach daily in summer months ..

Hotel do trips on their bus, easier than taxis or public transport.

There are organised buses that run regularly, or you can just jump in a reasonably priced taxi.

SHUTTLE - The bus to the beach and Albufeira was great as it save sorting out taxis and dropped you door to door.

Of course the central strength of the Falesia is the wonderful staff like Carolina in the Restaurant all of whom are so friendly and helpful .

Throughout our stay of 10 nights the room was serviced and kept spotlessly clean by the staff who included Clara who was efficient and friendly.

Clientele was older than expected mid October

The clientele at the hotel are slightly on the older side which I guess you would expect with an adults only hotel.

The majority of guests were older than ourselves and were largely from northern England.

The entertainment was a bit pants for my liking maybe aimed at an older crowd.

Things that could be slightly improved: 

Entertainment: The entertainment in the hotel wasnt the best I've heard/seen in previous hotels and seemed to be more suited to an older audience.

!, unfortunately we were not informed that the hotel and audience was catered more towards the older age of people, this was a bit of a shame, as we are late 20's

I know the hotel attracts a lot of older guests

Yet another excellent stay at this hotel mainly middle aged or older guests

but with no atmosphere what so ever, such a shame for the artists, we ended up eating out for the last four nites of our stay as my partner said he could" nt stand another meal at the restaurant, i think Tui really needs to advertise the falessia as an older persons hotel rather than an adults only as the description is a bit misleading, we spoke to quite a few other couples who stayed at the hotel and their thoughts were the same, its a shame as the hotel could be great.

Tui entertainment catered for an older clientele, it ran according to a schedule found in the lobby, French Boules 3pm, quiz at 4.

It seems to attract an older clientele and many repeat visitors which speaks for itself as to the high standard the hotel sets.

When we first started using the GOLD hotels we found the ages to be a lot older

Most of the guests were in their 60's or 70's so a little older than us,

We both got the feeling that the food was aimed more at slightly older people as the food was a bit bland at points.

There was entertainment most nights which was aimed at the older generations.

though as I said, I think the market for the Falesia is aimed at an older generation.

The Pools both inside and outside are a credit to management and staff .

Outdoor pool is fantastic and for the cloudy days there is an indoor pool, spa, jacuzzi and steam room - outside tennis courts and a table tennis table by the pool.

The hotel was clean and beautifully set, outside swimming pool and an indoor pool with spa and sauna.

The indoor spa was such a treat, the pool was lovely and warm.

Being an adult only hotel, the pool was quite- lovely.

The Falesia hotel is super clean & hygienically perfect, the rooms, hotel, bars, pool area etc.

The pool area is great not sun bed issues like in other hotels .

The outdoor pool was also lovely to swim in after sunbathing!

Lovely peaceful atmosphere around the hotel and pool area.

The pool areas are very well kept and again spotlessly clean as is the garden area.

It has beautiful pool and  grounds to enjoy in the sun.

If you would like sunshine on your balcony I would suggest requesting a room on the pool side of the hotel.

Pool area and Gardens Beautifully kept and quiet.

It presents a truly excellent buffet breakfast, an indoor pool and steam room, an outdoor pool and pool bar and very pleasant gardens.

A truly relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle, there was no shortage of sunbeds and they were plenty of places tucked away in the beautiful kept grounds and gardens you could find to relax as well as around the pool.

It has an indoor heated pool and spa treatment available if required.

The area around the swimming pool was spotless and on some afternoons some lovely singers sang relaxing music.

Now flip flops and pool wear are accepted.

Evening entertainment very poor, we went out most nights.

The evening entertainment was mostly poor except for the amazing band   'D-String' who are not to be missed!

There were 6 people in our taxi and, without exception, we were all disappointed at the poor content and felt very let down .

Night entertainment was very poor, felt like sitting in a cinema.

The weather itself was probably the worst we have ever experienced in Portugal and as The Falesia is no longer TUI gold the lack of entertainers showed as during the poor weather there was no quizzes etc that in the past the entertainers would have provided.

The food is very very poor, lots of choice

- Rather old or just poor quality towels both in the room and at the pool.

In my opinion there are a few places the hotel can improve to really make it an outstanding 4* Hotel;
Quality of the food both at breakfast & evening meal was off a poor quality
Tea/Coffee should be brought to the table at breakfast.

This ranks as my worst holiday ever so I have listed a summary of the various disappointments: 

Hotel Lobby - very dated and a poor first impression.

My wife and I thought that both nights we ate here the Buffet food was of poor quality, and " lukewarm ".

Just really poor, bland, cold often below average slop.

but again – poor quality and not really worth the money.

The pool bar gets very busy at times and the poor staff just cannot cope when it does.

The drinks service is poor and it is quite common to have to wait 15 mins for your drinks order to be delivered.

For us its Achilles Heel was the poor quality of the buffet evening meal

After 2 days no tea coffee or milk in the room-when we asked at reception we were told it was only replaced once during a weeks stay-entertainment poor apart from the dance show.

However, if like my wife you cannot eat salads main courses very poor quality.

The Thomson Production Team don't come to this hotel so poor Harry, Amy and Josh (who are not trained singers and are all pretty young) had to come up with entertainment which largely relied on Panache.

There were some downsides, for example the air conditioning was poor and the fridge , which we had to pay for, didn't get very cold.

Selection of food each evening was amazing with specials each day and the overall dining service was excellent.

Superb hotel - spotlessly clean, great staff and amazing food.

We visited the restaurant to try Chef Alexandre's 9 course tasting menu.

The food was brilliant in the main restaurant for breakfast and evening meals and the staff were very helpful.

Near to a lovely beach, restaurants and bars so plenty of options.

The breakfasts were great and the evening meals were all excellent.

Half board breakfasts & main meals are of the highest quality, superb chefs with meal menus both ever changing/never the same.

This chef really understands flavour , and the whole meal was a delight from start to finish .

It was like attending a 5 starred restaurant!

Cannot comment on evening food as we opted to eat out

although the peace in the restaurant was pleasant.

Buffet dinner was of good quality and there are also a reasonable number of cafes and restaurants nearby.

We specifically want to mention the superb New Special Gastronomic menu which we thoroughly enjoyed !

The food is amazing plenty of choice and they will accommodate you if you need anything special.

Our flight was delayed on arrival which meant we had missed our evening meal

Situated just outside Albufeira with a couple of supermarkets and bars/restaurants.

Our room was comfortable and lovely views.

On arrival we arrived around noon, at the time we had advised, and understood the room may be available.

The bed was super comfortable, room clean as was all of the hotel.

We were on the top floor room 404 and it had sunshine on it most of the day.

We received a welcome back gift in our room.

Came back an hour later and room was available… upgraded room!

although there was quite a few people their is enough room.

Food is nice, rooms and amenities are spotless.

The hotel exceeded all our expectations, we had a lovely room on the 4th floor overlooking the swimming pool,

Rooms great fridge hair drier loads of wardrobe space tea and coffee free safe towels changed cleaned daily.

Two supermarkets close by sell a variety of food and alcohol and the rooms all have a small fridge to keep it cold.

I was relieved it finished at 11pm as our room was above the bar.

We were so comfortable here, great staff.

Entertainment every night with attentive service.

Exceptionally fine dining , with an exciting , beautifully balanced menu , created by an incredibly talented young chef , demonstrating maturity way beyond his years.

Reception rang to check everything was ok with our stay too.

The Good: Excellent free wi fi and safe.In addition to tea/coffee facilities there was also a Krups coffee machine .The bed was king size.All the staff were helpful and friendly.Very nice breakfast in lovely surroundings.Plenty of bars/ restaurants etc.very close and a 7 minute walk to the ‘strip’.Handy bus stops if you wanted to go to the old town which was 2 miles away.The beach is also close by.

The staff have been excellent and the breakfast varied enough for a short break.

The breakfast has a comprehensive choice of fruit, salad, cooked meats and freshly cooked food.

Very good selection of hot and cold food and breads for breakfast - also sparkling wine.

The breakfasts are the best I've ever had in hotels in terms of variety, everything you could hope to eat in the morning and something for those with a sweet tooth too.

The pool area was lovely and breakfast had more than enough choice.

The breakfasts in the hotel were beautiful and there was a wide selection to choose from, whether it's a fry-up, cereal, continental, savoury or sweet, it's there, and with a nice choice of drinks too.

This is a wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Albufeira, the rooms, the breakfast & pool are great, only a 10 minute walk to the restaurants.

It is not just an immaculate building, great food and locality which matter.

All the areas of the hotel were immaculate.

It was one of the best hotels I've stayed in , the staff where so nice and helpful and food was absolutely fantastic it was spotlessly clean and very close to all amenities  swimming pool was lovely .

The rooms are big enough, well equipped, modern and most importantly clean and tidy.

Spotlessly clean throughout, iron provided upon request after phoning reception, the housekeeping team delivered within minutes.
