Ample room, full-equipped, with super comfortable beds and views to a beautiful patio.

We all found our rooms spacious and comfortable.

but this one has the pool, and, whilst we stayed at both, we really liked the friendly, comfortable and spacious atmosphere of this one too.

The rooms are big and comfortable and the attendants attentive. Caveats?

Magnificent breakfast, comfortable beds, helpful staff whose English easily outranked my faltering Spanish.

The rooms were comfortable and sensibly planned and the bathroom worked well in every repect, if quite simple.

Angel on reception deserves special mention as he made our stay both memorable and comfortable.

There is also a pool and a small play park for younger guests.

This place is out of the way, a small hotel, I think I may have been one of 2 guests.

The hotel is situated on a hill, just outside the town with good views.

Food was served at the second Parador in the castle a little further up the hill- a minute´s drive or better as a short, pleasant walk, and was top-notch.

The new 4 star (Parador Castillo de Monterrei) part on top of the hill is brand new with very nice rooms.

The builiding in itself is fine and the sights awesome being the hotel placed on top of a steep hill.

A Parador I hadn't visited before and I was pleasantly surprised to find this lovely quite small (for a Parador) hotel perched on a hill overlooking the town of Verin.

Impressive location in an old 'pazo' just in front of the old fortress of Monterrey, at the top of a hill looking over Verin.

There is also a terrace to have drinks and watch the sun setting over the surrounding gentle hills.

The hotel is good value, and in a lovely spot with far reaching views over the valley.

However, we absolutely loved this rural-deco hotel.

The dinner was delicious and included in the price of the hotel room and, from what we saw of the little town nearby, it's probably the best option any way to eat at the hotel.

Next to the hotel is a ruined castle with museum, a stormy night complete with lightning made for an eerie view from my hotel that I will never forget

Hotel staff was amazing as my daughters wanted to go on a bike ride in the morning.

but for some reason the hotel had left a complimentary bottle of wine and some cake in the room, which was a great start to a nice stay and actually made an otherwise OK hotel feel a bit special.

This hotel seems to be used as a stopping point for travellers.

That said, the bedding was of good quality and the room was cleaned each day to a very high standard.

Situated on a slight hill opposite Monterey castle (yes, the mother of all Montereys) it provides space to relax and chill down from sightseeing and driving.

However, the rooms are spacious with a nice ambience - we were on the top floor looking west - the bed comofrtable and for 130 euros a night including breakfast it seemed reasonable value as we have stayed in more than a dozen paradoes across three trips to spain in the last 20 years.

We paid 38 euros per night for a room with two twin beds -- definitely not worth the money we spent.

Hotel sans chichi  sans clim, sans chaîne française mais que les gens qui y travaillent sont sympas et serviables, pas loin du centre ville et recommandons le resto en face le superflu est remplacé par la gentillesse bravosss

Es una vergüenza que alguien diga que esto es una pensión o Hotel.

Y cuando llegamos al hotel no había toallas debajo de la cama había suciedad y los,armarios viejos y sucios con olor atabaco y eso que habíamos pedido una habitación de no fumadores.

En fin que cada uno tiene su opinion pero yo aconsejo a la gente que pasen por ese hotel si se quieren sentir comodos y como en casa.

Renueven antes de pretender cobrar esos precios,no se puede vivir del pasado señores.

La habitación bastante antigua , la televisión una auténtica [--] de los años 20 hablando claro , muy poco acogedor todo , el baño del año que Franco era caudillo , tuberías por fuera y la bañera sucia , de hecho para ducharnos al día siguiente echamos una toalla para ducharnos encima ; al día siguiente antes de levantarnos como a eso de las 9 de la mañana oímos una discusión tremenda debía ser entre 2 empleados del hotel , uno hablaba en portugués y durante media hora o más nos comimos desde nuestra habitación todo tipo de insultos ; al salir lo comentamos con 2 empleadas del hotel y ninguna de ellas ni tan siquiera nos pidió disculpas por ello ; además no les funcionaba el aparato de las tarjetas de crédito ( o eso al menos nos dijeron ) ya que ni tan siquiera delante de nosotros intentaron pasar la tarjeta por el lector y con toda la cara nos dicen que les tenemos que pagar en efectivo cuando el día antes habíamos formalizado la reserva a través de una tarjeta ; tuvimos que dejar el DNI como prueba y volver al pueblo a un cajero a sacar dinero , volvemos con el dinero y tampoco tienen para darnos el cambio tuvimos que abonarle me acuerdo perfectamente el importe íntegro ( 38,50 ) hasta los 50 céntimos porque según las 2 trabajadoras tan profesionales que tenían allí no tenían nada de cambio ; para rematar según les pagamos todo el importe exacto nos dicen tan ricamente un seco " adiós " y ni tan siquiera nos daban factura , o sea yo pago y no me queda constancia de nada ; se les pide la factura y de mala gana y con cara de agobio nos hacen un papel con nuestros datos y el importe que eso no tiene validez en ningún sitio.
