From the warm welcome and check-in, to the plentiful breakfasts and happy hour.

Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and they will make coffees and eggs to order.

Lots of choice, eggs cooked to your preference, we had no complaints.

Beautifully appointed rooms, wonderful and very helpful staff, and lovely dining room to enjoy your breakfast.

The breakfast and cicchetti/drinks in the evening were wonderful.

The service is exellent and sourandings are nice:) breakfast is very  tasty and the personell keeps everything clean. The personell is very helpfull, we came to the hotell little early and they helped us keep the luggade, and served a welcome drink:)

The room was very clean and big sized, interior design very catchy, beds very confy, staff very friendly, very good breakfast and, overall, all the hotel ambiance was very nice, so we felt perfect.

There’s also no place to hang a towel so you can reach it or get them dry later because the rack is too small.

but the sink was way too small for our needs.

The shower is so small you soak the entire bathroom when you turn it on.

Often in hotels in "tight venues" you are left with tiny bathrooms and rather poor storage possibilites,

Now you may think I do not have any negatives to say, and the only thing, I can think of is the shower is small,

The room and bathroom were a bit on the small side

Although, the water from the shower does take a while to entirely drain down the small slats under the shower head.

But our room was very compact, bathroom tiny and lots of noise from the surrounding rooms.

The hotel room was small and beautifully furnished and decorated.

Hotels in the city are expensive and Venice hotel rooms are known to be very small.

The room might be a bit small compared to American hotel rooms,

For our stay, we purchased the breakfast buffet which was so very nice and we would recommend that option.

Hotel Olimpia is a very good choice, the rooms and breakfast are excellent and the garden is a unique touch for Venice when the weather is nice.

The breakfast had many choices and was delicious.

The rooms are comfortable, breakfast has a good choice and kept full, on sunny days you can sit in the wonderful garden.

The breakfast was exceptional and if you book in advance VERY reasonable in price.

Breakfast is fantastic also with a  good selection of warm and cold meat as well as tea coffee machines.

It might be helpful to note that the hotel does have an elevator,

though it required a flight of stairs above the elevator, we didn’ t mind for the extra enjoyment gained.

We stayed in the annex rooms (alloggi rooms) and the access was somewhat inconvenient: take hotel lift to 3rd, walk down a hall and find the stairs, go down to 2nd and enter another door to find your room.

Though some rooms require the use of stairs for part of the way, our 4th floor 'Classic' room was accessible by lift.

However I was so shocked since there was no lift to the room directly.

We were on the 1st floor thank goodness as there was no lift for luggage.

Only unpleasant thing about the PeopleMover to the cruise dock was that the up escalator wasn't working and the elevator was having issues, which meant carrying bags up a non-moving escalator.

The one elevator is small so the bellman explained to us that he would meet us at the floor as we got off.

There is a working elevator, and the layout of the hotel is not labyrinthine like some we've seen in Venice.

Ours was #202 and you can use the elevator or stairs to reach it.

So, we got a room somewhere in a near by building, you had to take elevator, pass a long corridor, go down stairs.

Our room is very nice ,facing the canal   Unfortunately our room must be in the old section because to get to our floor 2nd floor, we had to take elevator up to first floor and walk around the hall way and walk up 19 steps to our room.

Finally, some comfort items, like someone all the time in the reception, a luggage room (for sightseeing after checkout), and an elevator to minimizing howling luggage upstairs for four people were definitely pluses.

but that it was on the 5 floor and the lift only went to the 4th.

The rooms are small, and the double bed [ two single beds joined] was  uncomfortable 

The breakfast was passable,

Small rooms, don’t expect much in size,

Other than that the rooms are very small (standard in Venice) and nothing special.

but not all rooms are fully accessible, and we had to walk up a tall flight of stairs to our room.

My only complaint is about the stairs which are a bit dangerous if you’re not paying close attention.

I can see this as difficult for some, as there are some stairs to negotiate over the bridge.

Only reason for four stars is that there was only elevator access to the first floor and we were on the second, up a long narrow flight of stairs.

The door closes behind me so I go up the stairs

Highly recommended if you want to avoid stairs while crossing canals.

but there are a lot of stairs on the bridge that you must drag your luggage over.

In order to avoid carrying your bags for long distances through the narrow streets of Venice, going up and down stairs over the many bridges, a location close to the bus station (where the airport shuttle arrives) and train station cannot be beaten.

though they mean haul your luggage up and down stairs!

We were able to roll our own luggage to it after getting off the People Mover with only one set of stairs over a bridge - took us less than 15 minutes.

Only one flight of stairs to drag a suitcase up.

Elevator only goes up one floor and then must take a flight of stairs up to room.

We needed to cross a few stair bridges (literally) to get to the front door, and this can be difficult when you have heavy luggage.

We had room 112 - I would avoid it in future as it is at the top of the first flight of stairs, just beside the elevator.

But if you're lugging big heavy bags it can be tiresome as there are three bridges with stairs that you have to cross.

Come out of the train station, go to your right, cross the glass stair bridge and on the other side of the buses is the hotel.

Breakfast is fabulous and has everything you could want.

The breakfast was delicious with everything you could want.

In the end we didn't get time to eat the cake so they gave us all a box of biscuits each on our departure from Venice which were delicious!

Breakfast laid out beautifully, high quality and variety of choice.

The cherry on top was the delicious breakfast served every morning!

The elevator was super small and slow, did not even fit the luggage.

Visited at the beginning of December and some confusion on arrival as BA room upgrade paid for,  and need for room in hotel served by lift access request lost in communication to the hotel.

(There is an elevator in the main building.)

They described the view, the fact there was no lift etc.we accepted this offer.

Some rooms are upstairs and there is not an elevator so if stairs are an issue, request the ground floor.

No elevator access to upper floors is a drawback with heavy luggage!

Glad she did because we had to go up several steps to get to our room (no elevator).

Our room tucked away on first floor across elevator and staircase, you can hear everyone go up stairs or talk while waiting for elevator.

If you cannot climb stairs (two floors total), then you will need to specify a ground floor room, or being in a building with an elevator.

There is a small elevator (lift) accessing the sleeping rooms in the main building.

Be aware that lifts do not exist in Venice hotels.

but,)be warned there are rooms in the hotel that are in a separate building, apparently it does say so on their web site but we missed it as we had booked a prestige room we weren't expecting this room.We were taken to the room ,up two flights of stairs(no lift) and asked if we were happy with it , said we would like to move as apart from being in a separate building the room was small and dark as the windows looked on another building about a meter away.

but it would not be suitable for those who have difficulty with stairs as the lift only goes to the 2nd floor.

The beds were super-comfy, the linen top quality and the bathroom small

We didn't bother with a view, or a bigger room, because we were out too much to bother. The bathroom was very small,

This room was mentioned by another review because of the small bathroom.

Also the pictures on their website represent the rooms a bit nicer than they are and the bathrooms are very small with limited space to lay out toiletries.

For ladies' information, there is a small hairdryer in the shower room, and lovely smelling shower gel, body lotion and hair shampoo and conditioner.

The suite is lovely, the bathroom a little small.

although the shower was quite small and my husband was too tall for the fittings.

One thing I will say is that the bathrooms are very very small and if you are a tall person you will have to crouch to get in.

This was my 4th time in Venice and I am familiar with the small room situation.

The breakfasts were varied and plentiful.

Buffet Breakfast was excellent and set us both up for our outings.

The included breakfast featured a normal European breakfast.

Breakfast was very well organised and always more than enough choices to keep you going until lunchtime!

It was definitely not conducive to a pleasant meal. The buffet is heavy on carbohydrates (loads of bread and cakes) with minimal fruit and no vegetables, plus cheap sliced meats and only swiss cheese (in Italy?)

Great breakfast, especially when looking forward to a day of exploring ahead of us.

The breakfast is really good with lots of healthy choices as well as treats and coffee of your choice.

The free breakfast buffet was well done and provided fresh fruit, along with various breads, meats, cheese, danish, coffee, and fresh juices.

Friendly staff, discreet service, fabulous location with a vaparetto stop a few steps from the hotel, lovely Venetian style bedrooms, great breakfasts, a terrace onto the Grand Canal to sit out on and enjoy being in the moment.

Great hotel in an old typically venitian palazzo,  great loaction  (10 seconds walking distance from Ca Rezzonico water bus and 5 mns from Accademia bridge), friendly staff, great breakfast included in the hotel rate.

It was a pleasant change from the usual buffet to have everything at breakfast served to you and freshly cooked.

The building is gorgeous and who could ask for anything more than having breakfast outside, on the Grand Canal.

The large patio area on the canal is a wonderful spot for breakfast, drinks, dinner, etc.

Breakfast on the terrace each morning, overlooking the Grand Canal, was a particular highlight.

Just sitting on the palazzo terrace-- quit aside from eating excellent breakfasts and dinner there-- proved restful and priceless.

The difference we found on this trip was being served breakfast rather than being able to choose from the buffet, a little more restrictive menu wise if you like things from both the menus - continental and full english -

The outdoor area on the canal is large and peaceful and great for breakfast.

I loved going down to their front terrace to have breakfast, right on the Grand Canal.

It is a beautifully preserved palazzo in an excellent  location with a wonderful terrace on the Grand Canal for breakfast and drinks.

Situated on the Grand Canal, my granddaughter and I enjoyed breakfast on the front terrace each day.

Breakfast is served right on the water--eggs cooked to order and a variety of choices served at your table.

We did not eat at the restaurant here (except continental breakfast, which was good),

The included breakfast had several delicious choices, and was selected from a menu (not buffet), and served on the terrace, weather permitting!

The hotel occupies an excellent position on the Grand Canal with a wonderful outside terrace for breakfast and dinner.

Its situation on the grand canal next to a water bus stop is very convenient, and you can enjoy views up and down the canal from the terrace where breakfast and dinner are served, weather permitting

Relaxing in the afternoon on an outdoor patio on the Grand Canal or having breakfast outside on the patio is a dream come true.

Such a beautiful boutique property along the Grand Canal, with one of the loveliest front terraces….a great spot for breakfast and aperitivo.

We opted for continental breakfast which was excellent - served at table or in your bedroom is (the pancakes topped with fruit and syrup are particularly scrummy).

The typical Italian breakfast was good with assorted cold cuts, cheese, breads, pastries, etc an even American coffee.

The staff (reception desk, breakfast times) was extremely polite, approachable and helpful.

Good breakfast, very friendly staff, good location close to the area where cars are allowed and close to the railway station and everything is within walking distance, loved it.
