We had large luggage to carry and selected the hotel in part because it was only one bridge from the airport bus park at Piazza La Roma and the People Mover transit.

We got the bus from the Airport into Venice (20 mins) and the hotel is minutes from the bus Station.

It's 5min walk from the train station, and 2 min walk from the public bus station that has direct bus to both airports within 20 min.

The location was perfect with easy access to the vaporetto for trips to all of the sites and the Piazzale Roma for the airport bus for our return flight.

It is very conveniently located in Santa Croce near Piazzale Roma (less than 2 minute walk), which is the drop off point if you take the bus from the airport, and directly located on a lovely side canal.

We boarded the Venice bus at the airport, which took about 20 minutes to arrive.

The rooms are Venetian style ,the breakfast area reminds me old luxury stylish Venice , the staff super friendly and the location superb,its is only 100m from bus station to airport or other buses.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Olimpia, really good location, easy to get to from airport bus connection.

We got the express bus from the airport to Piazzale Roma and the hotel is minutes away on a small canal.

Just steps to the water taxi, the bus to the airport and the cruise terminal We have stayed here a few times and it is always clean and the staff is friendly

We absolutely loved staying here it was 4 minutes from Piazze Roma where you can get the bus to and from the airport as well as the people mover to and from the cruise port.

The Olimpia is just a few steps from the bus station (our ATVO bus from the airport dropped us here), the Vaporetto docks, a water taxi, and gondolas.

I was very easy to take the bus from the airport to the Piazzale Roma.

Got the train from Rome to Venice so just a 10 minute walk from the station - even closer to the bus terminal (about 2 minutes) when needed to check out and get bus to airport!

The hotel is very close to Piazzale Roma, very convenient if you are taking the bus to the airport.

The location is very good, it's close to the bus station (where you can get a bus to/from the airport) and easy walking distance from the train station, as well as walkable to all the main attractions of Venice.

The hotels location is great for the water buses which take you directly to the main tourist areas and the airport bus €8s for a single.

We arrived to Venice airport and took the bus to Venice.

Trains, water bus and bus from the airport are all within easy walking distance and it is a great spot to start exploring, on foot, the interesting streets leading to the tourist spots.

For our stay, we purchased the breakfast buffet which was so very nice and we would recommend that option.

Hotel Olimpia is a very good choice, the rooms and breakfast are excellent and the garden is a unique touch for Venice when the weather is nice.

It might be helpful to note that the hotel does have an elevator,

though it required a flight of stairs above the elevator, we didn’ t mind for the extra enjoyment gained.

We stayed in the annex rooms (alloggi rooms) and the access was somewhat inconvenient: take hotel lift to 3rd, walk down a hall and find the stairs, go down to 2nd and enter another door to find your room.

Though some rooms require the use of stairs for part of the way, our 4th floor 'Classic' room was accessible by lift.

However I was so shocked since there was no lift to the room directly.

An old building where many rooms lack access to elevator.

We were on the 1st floor thank goodness as there was no lift for luggage.

Only unpleasant thing about the PeopleMover to the cruise dock was that the up escalator wasn't working and the elevator was having issues, which meant carrying bags up a non-moving escalator.

The one elevator is small so the bellman explained to us that he would meet us at the floor as we got off.

There is a working elevator, and the layout of the hotel is not labyrinthine like some we've seen in Venice.

Ours was #202 and you can use the elevator or stairs to reach it.

So, we got a room somewhere in a near by building, you had to take elevator, pass a long corridor, go down stairs.

Our room is very nice ,facing the canal   Unfortunately our room must be in the old section because to get to our floor 2nd floor, we had to take elevator up to first floor and walk around the hall way and walk up 19 steps to our room.

Finally, some comfort items, like someone all the time in the reception, a luggage room (for sightseeing after checkout), and an elevator to minimizing howling luggage upstairs for four people were definitely pluses.

but that it was on the 5 floor and the lift only went to the 4th.

Our rooms, facing the garden, were quiet.

In good weather the garden is a beautiful spot to relax after a day sightseeing.

The options at breakfast were beyond our hopes and being able to eat either outside by the canal or next to the hotel's lovely and welcoming garden made breakfast an even greater delight.

The sunning garden was a wonderful surprise to wander upon.

Despite being so well located, it was on a quiet, little side canal with pleasant rear gardens where one can eat breakfast al fresco.

The location is conveniently located so you wont have to drag your bags forever, yet is on a canal with a lovely garden in back, or tables out front for breakfast.

What we didn't expect to find was a delightful staff that gave us great recommendations for lunch, a huge breakfast buffet in a beautiful backyard garden, and a comfortable, air-conditioned room after a day of exploring Venice.

The breakfast was sumptuous and could be taken inside or outside, either on tables directly at the canal, or in the nice garden.

but the continental breakfast is excellent .A small garden at the back with tables against the canal at the front .

The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and the hotel’s garden was a lovely spot.

I had some concern because it was right near the Piazzale Roma.

Location is perfect, so close to Piazzale Roma where you buy easily tickets and just jump to vaporetto.

Convenient location near Piazzale Roma for the airport transfer bus with only one bridge to drag your case over.

We were very close to Piazzale Roma which is very convenient for travelling and getting around Venice.

Especially like the proximity to Piazzale Roma and all the staff!

For arrival/departure/exploring Venice the hotel is perfectly located close to the Piazzale Roma.

We were in Venice for Carnavale weekend in March and wanted a location close to Piazzale Roma as well as the Santa Lucia Railway Station.

We visited Venice in March 2019 and stayed at Hotel Olimpia, the perfect location for those are coming from Treviso Airport, very close to Piazzale Roma.

The Hotel Olimpia's location was perfect for us - very close to Piazzale Roma, where we had dropped off a rental car, and near where we left on the train.

We chose the hotel as it was so close to the Piazzale Roma and relatively easy for us to access on arrival.

Walking distance from Piazzale Roma bus station, People Mover and Grand Canal.

It is near to Piazzale Roma where the airport bus terminates and the water buses and train station are nearby.

This hotel is very clean and very close to Piazzale Roma.

The rooms are small, and the double bed [ two single beds joined] was  uncomfortable

but not all rooms are fully accessible, and we had to walk up a tall flight of stairs to our room.

My only complaint is about the stairs which are a bit dangerous if you’re not paying close attention.

I can see this as difficult for some, as there are some stairs to negotiate over the bridge.

Only reason for four stars is that there was only elevator access to the first floor and we were on the second, up a long narrow flight of stairs.

The door closes behind me so I go up the stairs

Highly recommended if you want to avoid stairs while crossing canals.

but there are a lot of stairs on the bridge that you must drag your luggage over.

In order to avoid carrying your bags for long distances through the narrow streets of Venice, going up and down stairs over the many bridges, a location close to the bus station (where the airport shuttle arrives) and train station cannot be beaten.

though they mean haul your luggage up and down stairs!

We were able to roll our own luggage to it after getting off the People Mover with only one set of stairs over a bridge - took us less than 15 minutes.

Only one flight of stairs to drag a suitcase up.

Elevator only goes up one floor and then must take a flight of stairs up to room.

We needed to cross a few stair bridges (literally) to get to the front door, and this can be difficult when you have heavy luggage.

We had room 112 - I would avoid it in future as it is at the top of the first flight of stairs, just beside the elevator.

But if you're lugging big heavy bags it can be tiresome as there are three bridges with stairs that you have to cross.

Come out of the train station, go to your right, cross the glass stair bridge and on the other side of the buses is the hotel.

Venice is perfect holiday hot spot and people is a lot this season.

The location is perfect, especially for a short stay in Venice.

Definitely a spot to stay if your visiting Venice.

Togehter with hotel cleanliness and very good condition of rooms it is a definite hotel we recommend and will come back to next time we visit Venice.

Beautiful hotel on the water, near the heart of Venice.

though getting out of the shower shorter gals like me need to hold on bc the tub wall was very high.

My only complaint is that our “attic room” had exposed beams painted the same color as the walls and at neck-high height.

Nothing was overlooked from the ceilings, to the walls, to the floors.

The bathroom has a bit of the wow factor with mood lighting, a big bath and glittering mosaic tiles underfoot and on the walls.

The hotel has the feel of a Venetian merchants house with wood panelled walls and in the small library/bar, stained glass windows overlooking the canal and art work on the walls.

Two of the windows are about 2/3 up the wall and there are trees from the neighboring property that block most of the light.

To hear the putt-putt of a passing boat followed by the slap of the gentle wave on the walls of the canal outside was truly captivating and just brought a smile to both our faces.

You could see that people are forcing the cord as far as they can stretch it… it is coming out of the wall.

When moving around the city look for the yellow signs on the walls for direction, you won't get lost as easily.

My husband and I were on our world adventure and booked into this hotel on our stay in Venice.

We will absolutely stay at this hotel the next time we are in Venice.

Only 2 or 3 minutes stroll to St Mark's Square, the position was perfect and being able to leave by water taxi directly from the hotel's pier was a real bonus.

Have to say I wasn’t sure what to expect from a Venice hotel,

I've stayed at 2 hotels in Venice and 5 overall in Italy and this was definitely the best!
