Breakfast and dinner are good , very rich and varied.

The breakfast food was tasty yet the same day after day.

We had delicious burgers last night for free.

- After meeting with your Guest Relations Person Mr. Dimitrov he upgraded my room to an executive one with access to the 17th floor restaurant for breakfast, which is good

Poor quality of food ingredients, too much time waiting to take the food, no cocktails for all inclusive, only a few dishes to choose at every meal.

The food is also excellent, offering both traditional Bulgarian dishes and international cuisine on the principle of an assisted buffet.

The hotel located in the best spot in golden sands varna.the infinity pool is very amazing and you can relax for several hours there.very good breakfast and the staff are very welcomming.they gave us a room in the corner of the building and we had 2 side view as well.

The other reason we came here is my missus and I both like to gamble and this hotel had a fabulous casino, one of the best we have ever visited and we have been to many over the years lol

Overall I cant recommend this hotel enough, and we will be returning next year 100%

It was a pitty, because fish was very delicious.

First of all the hotel is very clean, pleasant and impressive.

A very clean hotel positioned ultra centrally.

The hotel is very clean, well-managed and well-located next to the beach.

but only 2; but the beds were comfortable and the balcony was nice (though not particularly clean).

Plus: Large rooms, clean rooms and hotel, good and varied food, very good service.

Staff were so nice, rooms immaculately clean and service was perfect from everyone!

It was amazing  in Golden Sands I just visiting this hotel bicose for me is the best,the whole staff is very smiling and food is fantastic 👌🤩 cleanliness is on level,definitely I will come back for sure! !

The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms are very spacious.

Luxury hotel very clean located just on black sea shore with kind staff very good food with assorted choices, nice spa area with possibility of various kinds of massages (not really chip), big casino and numerous attractions around the area.

If you dream to be looked down by staff, enjoy a small overcrowded pool with extremely loud music, benefit from a cheap food buffet and rude service, when it occasionaly happen.

but you must pay a Moet bottle ( 250 euro) to stay in front :) unpolitical staff

but overall it was pretty disappointing for a 5 star (and pricey) hotel.

but (as usual), alcohol is only local, so not of good quality (cheap to average wine); the coffee was not good, but was indeed available throughout the day, incl.

butter brand is totally unknown, guess President is too expensive for you.

Summary: stay not worth the money you pay.

For even half the price i would not recommend. .

Plus, rooms are overpriced and the coffee maker in our room was so dirty.

but does not have its own beach and has to pay for chairs.

As if we would run away and not pay for what we had ordered.

Third problem I noticed is bathing – hotel has not deck chairs and umbreals on the beach, so we had to pay 18 € every day (for 2 persons).

but very busy, you have to pay alot for fresh juice which is available for free in many hotels worldwide.

but there is no special part for hotel guests and you must pay for using sunbeds and umbrella.

We left enough money and were in the casino, or to have an expensive drink at the pool, and you will reward us with this approach ..?

Perfect rooms, perfect food, perfect drinks, perfect service.

great place for a family vacation, excellent level of work and service, good food, excellent service from the staff, very good organization of the beach, I can safely recommend it for such a holiday.

but, after the first dinner, we regreted, and for the other 2 dinners we made reservations at restaurants ouside the hotel.

They were all nice and willing to help (with partial exceptions for some of the restaurant staff).

I also had a less pleasant situation with, probably one of the people in charge of the room restaurant.

Instead the good points were the underground parking included, good food and comfortable bed.

but from our point of view the food was at 2 stars level or lower.

But the thing that has shoked me was the quality of the food.

The hotel is just overlooking the beach and the promenade.

The room was spacious with a nice view and an interesting design.

I spent 6 days by myself in a room with a park view and had an amazing stay.

The best hotel on the Black Sea coast indeed.

The first day we lost it by understanding where we have to get towels for the sea and where for the pool.

The only thing we liked was the infinity pool area which has a very nice view to the sea

Rooms are very large and spacious with great views of the beach.

I Will start with the positive and the only positive is the view.

The indoor pool was great, as well that outdoor pool, with great view to the sea.

The hotel is situated close to the sea gardens and beach.

We had a blockage in the toilet which caused the smell of sewage in the room and water leaking from the toilet.

How I got into the room I saw water on the floor.

The room had stains from cigarettes on the carpet and was strictly non smoking, no coffee, tea making facilities with only two small 330 ml  bottles of water complimentary ( they couldn’t even been 500 ml for 130$ per night ) very disappointing.

The water in the shower are moving indipendenly form cold to hot.

but it is definetely for young people with that loud music, not mention that water in the pool was very cold.

2. there was a leak from under the floor every time the water was running.

Once he realized we didn't buy the water from them he refused.

using coffee maker or drinking water is extra .

however the language barrier is a big issue (simple requests such as ordering water encounters a problem).

The only minus I noticed was the quality of the cofee, juices and water - I didnt like to have only the mashine option.

though that the shower glass wall didn't extend very far so water kept going everywhere when you shower and the floor becomes very wet.

In the pool you can not bring water, you have to buy water at the pool bar.

Not all the staff in the restaurant speaks English, they brought us cold water instead of "room temperature" for several times.

I think all hotels should serve water at all meals at no cost.

Although i can say a lot about the prices in the hotel and all the taxed aditional services such as that i had to pay for the water which im drinking on my dinner to the very expensive spa procedures and the lobby bar there was one thing which made me huge impression it was the Room Service.

The outdoor pool's water was too cold that was intolerable.

( starts from Ice to pool bed sometime depends on day )

- Booked supperior room for bechloor party 5 rooms hotel didnt mind much no upgrade at all .

Just one side note, My room was 301 and the air con was straight onto our face while we were sleeping, this is not very good while you are sleeping

Minus things in room were really, really bad air conditioning.

Staff gave us a heater because the aircon "could not be fixed.".

- The air conditioning was on the noisier side.

but Air Con was almost ineffective and even after complaining to Reception which was attended promptly, nothing improved!

but the air conditioning is not very effective and the fridge is barely cold.

We had to move from the top floor because there was a lot of hot days in a row, and the air conditioning couldn't keep up -

The only downside was that the air conditioning was not fully functioning and it took the hotel over  an hour to finally admit they had been experiencing problems throughout the hotel.

The hotel gym is adequate, and breakfast was just that - fine. Satisfactory.

We were told to leave at breakfast after already having sat down and already with our breakfast , from the buffet.

Our room was clean, Breakfast was adequate.

Breakfast was just perfect, plenty of choice, different juices and all you needed.

We had a nice and quiet room, and breakfast was very good.

Breakfast had the usual generous Bulgarian selection of sausage, eggs, chees and salads.

The staff were very nice and the breakfast was good.

and they serve breakfast till 10:30 which means you can have a lay as its your holiday after all.

Indeed, the location of the Splendid is easily its best point, near all the attractions in the pleasant city of Varna.

The cathedral is worth a visit as is the beautiful city park across the boulevard.

Highly recommended if you wish for a hotel near the city centre.

The location was excellent for our purposes ( a city break taking in the museums, churches and traditional Bulgarian restaurants).

At an excellent location: right across from the Cathedral and the walking area of the city.

Situated near the city center and on (10-15) min walking from the Sea Garden and beach.

10 mins walking distance to all major city sightseeings such as Archeological Museum and Varna City museum and 12 mins walking to the Varna main beach.

Friendly hotel, really well placed for the city center.

It's close to a city centre junction and so road noise was reasonably loud,

If you are looking for a good hotel at the center of the city Varna this is your place.

It is perfectly located in the middle of the city.

It's dead city center and if you get a room with a window facing Vladislav you get an awesome view of the cathedral--an impressive building especially at night when it's all lit up.

We were checked into room 402 which has a fabulous view of the cathedral and city centre from its little balcony.

Small and cosy hotel in an old building right in the city centre close to the financial district too.

Shopping area and restaurants.

Average restaurant price was 20 to 25 LV  which for us is like €10 to €15  EXTREMELY cheap :) and good quality.

The neighborhood has good restaurants, pharmacies, bakeries etc.

From the hotel, (main boulevard) to the left, starting the pitoresque pedestrian area, with shops and restaurants, and definitely worth at least one day to visit beautiful and peaceful Varna, where you find a lot of things to see!

Reception had good language skills and our room was on the second floor just above the restaurant level.

However, there are many eateries close to the hotel.

There are restaurants nearby and lots to do.

The entire hotel has been immaculately refurbished and has a great location where you can easily walk to many great restaurants and shopping areas.

We booked this restaurant on the basis of location and value.

Great location of the hotel next to Varna cathedral - a lot of sights and restaurants in walking distance, the beach is in less of 10 minutes.

Close to a very good Chinese restaurant which was a bonus.

Many restaurants and shopping area very close.

Plenty of restaurants close by including several on the sa,e street.

Close to the hotel you can find several restaurants and cafes.

You must walk to the pedestrian street and sit at a cafe (Happy is a nice one) to enjoy the crowd.

Only negative point is small elevator which is nothing important besides other advantages.

Also the elevator is very small , too small two persons with not very big lugguage can come inside.

Areas for Consideration
-  Very small lift.

This is a hotel situated in a renovated building, and thus, the elevator is tiny (three people with no bags have to stand very close to fit in) and tiny spiraling staircase.

The room was clean with no smoke or other bad smells, with high ceilings, heavy furniture and a marble bathroom with all the amenities that someone may need!

On the bad side, the rooms had a pregnant smell of cigarette smoke, when you got in and the table clothes from the breakfast area should be cleaned more thoroughly.

They were appalled we asked for omelette and fried eggs and did not accept to eat the cold and broken ones on the tray, which simply looked disgusting as you can see.

The hotel was not as splendid as indicated, the hotel only had a breakfast restaurant, the rooms was dark, and smelled like a smoking room even when I had asked for a non smoking room.

The rooms are a bit old fashioned and smelled a bit of cigarettes

The main reason I cannot give this an 'excellent' rating is that the room had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke, and everything I owned reeked of smoke upon leaving.

The staff is ready to help every time when you have questions.

Like all good hotels, the staff seemed pleased that I was there and were very welcoming.

Staff were friendly and spoke good English.

The staff, especially the one gentleman, were rafter grumpy.

The reception staff were friendly and room cleans.

All looks great, the halls, very spaceous room and bathroom, the personnel-kind and helpfull.

Impeccably maintained, spotlessly clean, and attentive staff.

The staff are friendly, and we had everything we need.

Great, welcoming staff and a huge room (we stayed at a studio).

Personnel was polite, helpful, at the reception spoke very good English.

Great long time staff , clean nice rooms ,great location across from the sea garden , i have bee coming here for about 12 years ,staff helpful if needed , wait staff very helpful with breakfast , easy quick check in and out , I Will be returning again would not want to stay anywhere else .

The service was excellent Also, they serve a delicious breakfast, especially croissants.

I would call it the best hotel of Varna especially in three  areas:

- food (included breakfast) AND dinner

- service orientation, professionalism and friendliness hardly to find in Bulgarian hotels, especially if you are sick of ALL-inclusive hotels &their food & service 😀

Breakfast was very tasty and the bistro on the ground floor quite stylish.

Good position, with large and well appointed rooms, facilities and a breakfast that I think, covers all the requirements .

The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruits and juices, baked goods, a whole poached salmon each day we were there, as well as a variety of bulgarian meats, cheeses and smoked salmon.

I had good breakfast and restaurant here had a optimal menu, dishes were very tasty.

Take advantage of the free bikes on offer as Varna is a great town to cycle around in, in fact, and weather permitting, probably the best way to get around as finding parking can be a mission.

Take advantage of their free bikes for a ride through the park and along the beach boardwalk.

Oh and don`t forget to use the free bicycles and ride them in the park.

Perfect location and good staff, nice room and many complimentary stuff such as free bikes for visiting surroundings and beautiful park just crossing the street and beach side.

You can rent a bicycle for free and enjoy the evening riding through the sea park and the city.

The location of the hotel is excellent, near to the beach, big park and the promenade.

I chose the hotel for its location - right near the beautiful park and minutes away from the beach.

This hotel is directly across the street from the huge park that borders the beach, and just a block away from a major pedestrian mall. Our "apartment" suite was a large room divided into a spacious bedroom and separate area with a couch and coffee table, a toilet/bidet room, and a separate bathroom with a glassed in shower and a deep extra long bath tub (for a luxurious bath, with fluffy robe and slippers supplied.)

We spent 8 days in the hotel - great location (right next to Varna’s emblematic sea park), beautiful luxury rooms, very  courteous and responsive staff.

The location was perfect with only a couple of minutes walk to the beach, lovely seaside park and central pedestrian areas.
