Quiet and air conditioned rooms, clean, well equipped and a great nights sleep on a long trip which we will continue to utilise on future trips again.

We had a very confortable stay at this hotel.The room was big, clean and with an amazing bathroom.

Our room was perfect - spotlessly clean and well maintained with a huge bathroom with bath and separate enclosed shower cubicle.

We ate in the main restaurant which was adequate and clean.

All the public areas were very clean and pristine.

The hotel is a standard Novotel and as such the rooms are clean and nicely appointed, that said it is staff and service that make a hotel and on that criteria this one fails miserably.

The reception area is spacious, our check-in quick and hassle free, the staff friendly and the room big enough and clean with shower (and bath!).

The room had plenty of space and was clean and tidy.

we felt a little perturbed that we were charged for using the car park that did not seem to be as secure as we would have expected.

Lovely welcome on arrival and swift check in as always, a mix up on whether we had prepaid or not as Accor card holders going through Expedia they did not prepay as we expected.

We stayed overnight with our dog and on checking out we we're charged €20 for allowing him to stay.

The additional charge for dogs is slightly higher that the other accor hotel

However there are plenty of other hotels in the chain for me to take my loyalty card to.

Negatives- extra charge for dog (20euros) and parking (12 euros).

Also a disgrace to charge 12 euros for parking.

I believe they charged 20 Euros per dog per night, as per their website charges.

apart from the charge for the dog, we would stop here again.

The hotel management should take credit for what is evidently a successful motivation and training effort.

Friendly staff, good value (much better than France), very smart bedrooms, nice pool albeit small-ish, and excellent food (3 course dinner €18) with generous meat portions.

I really don't understand some of the negative reviews on here as on both occasions we have found the staff to be professional, friendly and extremely helpful and it is clear to us that they really enjoy their work; particularly the young ladies on reception and the bar staff.

There is a swimming pool But is was so cold at the time of our stay so my kids kept out of it.

Life guard at the pool particularly helpful when various members of my family lost items in the pool.

We love the outdoor terrace pool and restaurant and indoor play area.

The swimming pool is an added bonus and has enough chairs to ly on.

I experienced very poor service in the restaurant on my first night.

The food in the restaurant was poor as was  the breakfast - the scrambled eggs were inedible .

After my last (poor) review of this hotel to which I have returned many times, I have made 2 further stays.

The staff provided very poor advice about the menu and there were no side options to order.

However the real let down was in the restaurant, so-so food (unless you like undercooked,barely tepid, soggy fries and salad (and everything else) drowning in cheap olive oil..) The service was poor, inattentive, brusque and at times non-existent.

This was simply microwaved, roll, salad, the lot and then dumped back on my table, very poor.

Good rooms nice bar excellent burger poor inadequate breakfast and towels which were thin worn and small not up to standard for a four star hotel.

Also, we prefer to eat at the McDonalds 100 m away, rather than the restaurant, because we have found the food to be very poor and, not surprisingly perhaps, almost nobody eats there even when the hotel is otherwise busy.

CNN only English news channel and reception was poor.

The  last thing I need is to be asked after long hours of driving is be asked  to show an email confirmation of the booking ( not just a reference no)  passport, driving licence  not good enough ect Ect 

Overall mediocre and would stay elsewhere and closer to the centre.

but I have to drop stars for a child’s burger that was too undercooked and had to be returned and a pizza that was spicy as requested but small for the price.

When ordering it I asked if it comes with vegetables and the waitress said yes.

When I asked her for some service she was very rude and told me to wait – texting on her phone was her priority.

My husband asked about it at reception and was told that it was closed and not cleaned.

Despite our request for a non-smoking room, we were given one which reeked of cigarette smoke.

Best to get a taxi from the airport with the full address as Taxi drivers in town off  the ranks didn't know where it was either (several asked over the days only one could take us there).

We had dinner & breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

on asking at reception, was directed to the bar where there were no obvious staff so i had to take a couple of takeaway cups from the restaurant (which also had no staff there).

Lovely reception staff, fab room, bar, restaurant all for 52€ which for a hotel of such quality was a bargain.

The food is very good too and the prices are sensible.

Dinner menu was affordable and overall the hotel offered what was expected.

We had dinner in the Hotel restaurant and the food was excellent and very good value - 18 euros for the menu of the day for 3 courses.

one of the great advantages to us is that it still has rooms that cater for smokers (which we unfortunately are) - quite a rare thing nowadays.

Our room was very comfortable with tea/coffee facilities in the room.

The reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming.

The service throughout the hotel is excellent - the reception staff, the bar staff and the restaurant staff are all very customer focused.

(they do charge E20 per night which is quite high)  He was greeted with a bag of goodies, which he promptly enjoyed playing with and eating!

The terrace is easily accessible and there is underground and above-ground parking (at a price) making is easy to transfer luggage etc.

My only disappointment was the awful weather when we arrived as we were so looking forward to sitting out on the lovely terrace area.

Ate in the restaurant in the evening and meal was good and a warm evening so able to sit on the terrace with our dog.

The hotel also has a nice pool and terrace area, plus underground parking.

Of course some of the prices are what you would expect in a 4* hotel and there is a service charge if you sit on ther terrace.

We had a good night sleep on the new comfort bed, and even it is located into an industrial zone, we do had a calm night, no noise or something else, we took the reservation “Breakfast included” this is always cheaper than to order it on the moment of your arrival, and with the “Accor Hotel Member card” you have also every time the benefit who goes from a 5% until A 10 % discount on your reservation.

Good service, the room was very comfortable and the location ideal for a stop over.

The rooms have been updated so that the beds are supposed to be more comfortable and we found that to be true.

The room was immaculate as always and the bed was so comfortable we could have slept forever!

The food was very nice and reasonably priced, with good, friendly service - in fact all of the staff were very friendly and spoke good English, which was useful as our Spanish is pretty weak!

Nothing was open  - not even the museums.

This is the first in our stay in Ibis hotels where we have to pay from the moment we enter the hotel.We asked receptionist Mayte Martin if she can leave the credit card open for drink or food.But refused telling us this is the hotel rules.

The communal areas - lift, stairwell, hallways - are all very tired and in need of some cosmetics, and these areas also feel very impersonal and detached from the busy open plan reception/bar/restaurant area.

but the receptionist informed us that it would be open but only serving snacks.

Just on point, if you get chance to ask, request a room at the rear of the hotel because opposite there is a distribution centre with lorries arriving and leaving at all times of the night which can be a little noisy if you have a window open for fresh air at night.

Only problem was the inadequate air conditiioning and the noise from outside when the window was open. As usual with hotels in Spain there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room (we usually take our own!)

So the accommodation was good let down by poor service and rubbish food

Basically, the standard Ibis offering in room quality and inconvenient location … an average Ibis experience marred by poor oversight by either the management in not providing adequate training or a total lack of communication from the corporate office of Accor.

Like any country, you might find hostelries that have poor standards, are inaccessible, or just plain scary!

Wished we had read Restaurant Reviews as Breakfast was very, very poor (worst of all the IBIS's that we had stayed in so far) a short walk to a massive Carrefour, finds an excellent breakfast Restaurant.

This is not a criticism of the hotel or it's staff, we just felt sorry for the poor, overworked people there who were trying their best to do too many jobs.

We noticed the new decor which was better giving us extra room.

but we tend to eat in the reception area so we can have our dog with us and he's not left in the room on his own. .

No problem though, for one night, and we were just happy that our cat could stay in the room with us.
