This hotel exceeded by expectations, from the hospitality of Luis at the front desk to the nicely renovated rooms to the beautiful view I had of the bay (I took this photo from my window)!

The location is excellent, close to ferry building and market, and we had amazing views of the bay and the bay bridge.

Immediately we were greeted with probably the best hospitality I’ve seen at a hotel, Michael was very kind to move us up to a great room with a gorgeous view of Bay Bridge, and offer us a complementary bottle of wine without extra charge.

It's an easy walk to the Ferry Bldg in a nice quiet area with lovely views of the bay bridge.

The rooms facing The Embarcadero have a great view of the Bay bridge from the windows.

Paid $721.20 for a tiny room right next to the roof vent.

Paid more than a stay at St. Regis for a very uncomfortable stay.

There is an amenity fee, not sure if we were charged even when amenities are closed on Sunday and early on Saturday,

but high speed internet is a bit overpriced.

-$40 resort fee per night was not included in the initial price and only made aware of it when checking out
-Location: great for the Ferry building and Giant game; otherwise you are kind of away from the more interesting parts of the city.

Booked a package that seemed a bit pricey.

The room felt a bit too dark to be practical in the evenings and 3) the TV setup isn’t great - no premium cable, on demand movies, streaming and given SAMSUNG brand no ability to mirror from Apple devices.

Too expensive for the room so small they have and for the service they give, the hotel was very noisy at night and during the early mornings with a lot of blows
I would never recommend it and I have asked my company to never offer it again to the workers because it is really a bad experience.

Pro tip: The valet parking fee is outrageous - upwards of $60 - so it's worth skipping this and finding a parking deal on your own.

Also note the coffee and wine are NOT FREE, the fee is included in the “hidden fees” - the occupancy tax you will be requested to pay at the checkout. Surprise!

But then I ask a simple question to one of the gals at night a question about amenity fee she told me that’s just how it is $30 a night that’s just how it is told me that no way out of fee I should choose Hyatt down the street if I don’t want a fee.

Unless you pay for a bay view room, you get a view of a dirty AC unit.

If you do not arrive by Ferry and arrive by car, there is a large valet fee for parking.

but in my comparison of SF hotel rates I guessed I missed it.

We wouldn't stay here again unless we somehow got a really great rate to offset the negatives.

Cons: Maybe I missed in reviews how small the rooms were because if I had known this, I would have never booked the room.

Overall it's nothing special anyways : small room, poor breakfast in a nice location.

I would have given this 5 stars  except for some basic things on the margin:  1) room was a bit small and felt much like a European style room in its size 2) the lighting was quite poor and didn’t allow for lighting customization in the evening.

After turning on the airco, I called down to guest services as there were only 6 hangers in the closet (not nearly enough for a 3 night stay).

Especially the AC which was no functioning on our first night.

Rooms are sparsely furnished, floor was soaked from a leaking radiator.

It is a bit of a cheek that you have to pay separately for milk with tea or cereal…
One down side was that the room was quite noisy - the air con was very loud indeed, and there was some (expected) seaplane noise,

However our bedroom window was disgusting , soiled outside with bird excrement on one pane, another pane was obscured due to the window unit having condensation within it.

Several seals in the double pane windows had failed, causing condensation to form between the glass panes.

We honestly would have stayed anywhere with air con that accepted pets,

The bathroom is massive and every surface is dated stone that is not heated so it's freezing on your feet and this hotel doesn't provide slippers like every other hotel has this month.

The air conditioning system desperately needs replacing.

Only complaint was the air conditioner was in the bedroom unit and as usual its pretty hard to sleep when that noise is going right next to your bed.

but the Seafood Benny really blew us away!

The air con units in the rooms have to be the noisiest I have ever experienced and click on and off during the night.

They still have the box ventilation system (no modern hotel has that) that’s over 30-40 years old.. Don’t let the pictures fool you.

During the night the heating unit was on all night so it was still quite warm.

As a relatively minor point the pedestrian entrance to the parking garage was defective so the only means of access to the car was via the vehicle barrier, reception was aware of this

Surprisingly though no fan in the bathroom

One drawback is that the bathroom lacks an exhaust fan.

The room: We got a room with a window that was completely full of condensation.

Our room was damp, musty and dark with an a/c which had no immediate control ability and funny noises through the night - that being not the biggest deal. After we fell asleep for the night we were woken up by a dog fight (?)

The room we had had a balcony overlooking the harbour, a huge bathroom and two large beds with a fridge and kettle.

Our room was a good size with a small balcony overlooking the harbour.

If I was ever back here, I would stretch the budget and go for an Ericsson wing room with a harbour view.

Our room # 305 had the most amazing view of the inner harbour and we were captivated by the activity on the water.

Our room had a superb view of the inner harbour and was great for watching the seaplanes’ “runway” and the water ferries coming and going.

We purposely picked the Laurel side of the hotel for its location with views of the Inner Harbour.

Room had a wonderful view over the harbour, bed was very comfortable.

A short walk along the harbour front to downtown Victoria, we found friendly staff, stunningly good breakfasts with a harbour view, a room with a west facing water view, and comfortable accommodation.

The hotel overlooks the harbour and there is a beautiful view of the activities on the water.

In total we had 10 rooms, all with views over the harbour - there was 1 issue with a room in that the view certainly wasn’t the best

The hotel is in great location and easy walk to the downtown area and wonderful views of the harbour.

The rooms were super clean, if you can request anything before your visit, get a higher floor and request a bay view.

Parking is easily accessed and convenient
If you manage to get a room that faces the harbour the views are great - you can watch all the action including ferries and seaplanes.

Preface to this: If you’re on a work trip or traveling solo/as a couple, the spectacular harbour views will make you forget everything.

we had two swivel chairs in the room to enjoy the view of the harbour and downtown Victoria.

but a short walk will do the trick, and you got a great view of the bay.

Great hotel base for touring Pacific  beach boardwalk and near by active towns LaJoya & Birdrock.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere with the open view of the beach from the pool was awesome.

We had a beach view and it was great for people watching

but it also had a wonderful view of the beach and the ocean.

I use to book this hotel when it was Blue Sea Beach Hotel.

The pool faces the ocean with a glass wall to people watch, experience the ocean and beach without actually being on the beach.

Even the "partial" ocean view had a great angled view of the beach from the balcony.

Blue Sea Beach Hotel is right on the beach opposite one of the few openings in the sea wall to the beach.

Blue Sea Beach Hotel really is a great hotel.

I’m thrilled to say that The Blue Sea Beach Hotel far exceeded my expectations and I’d never imagine staying anywhere else!

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Blue Sea Beach Hotel and loved every minute of it.

We came for the beach and the view it did not disappoint.

I had a great stay at the Blue Sea Beach Hotel.

So are all the beach activities or at the pool overlooking the beach and ocean waves.

Had a wonderful stay at the Blue Sea Beach Hotel.

My main issue was the parking fee per day. $32.

but parking was overpriced and not worth the money.

We paid $260 for the night, plus parking and taxes to total $300.

Only complaint is that parking is a bit pricey ($25 per night)

Parking is for a fee as is any place else in San Diego.

Anyway, after booking the room and getting parking taken care (you do have to pay for parking$24

We read negative reviews about the paid parking,

The surrounding area is very popular and public parking is at a premium.

You have to pay for parking at the hotel.

What a waste of $350 (included $20 parking fee). I might as well have a view of a parking lot vs. paying the premium rate for this "view."

The only issue was the smell of the room upon arrival.

but not dried completely and by the time we left, you could smell the mustiness.

The air conditioner did not work properly so the room was very musty/smelled like mold.

There was hair in the bathtub, which was absolutely disgusting.

However, not being able to pee, poop or shower in our bathroom due to a water pipe issue was quite  a major inconvenience.

The carpets are dirty, the sofa in our room was dirty and stained, the curtains were also stained, and the room had a mildew smell.

My only complaint would be the smoking off the balconies for a non smoking hotel.

Was put in a room that was dirty and had strong musty odor.

The neighborhood is not good for families or adults who dislike the smell of marijuana 24/7.

There is a slight damp smell in the corridors.

The hallway carpet is filthy and I hate to guess what might be in the carpet in the room itself.

The arms on the chair in our room were filthy, paint chipped, lighting chipped and dented.

This hotel is in the perfect location to enjoy the best views of the Harbour & the sunsets each night from your balcony.

Suites are well appointed and views of harbour activity are fabulous and entertaining.

The room was clean, updated, fresh and had stunning views of the harbour.

The Victoria Regent has everything going for it:  great central location; extremely friendly and accomodating staff; quiet hotel; convenient underground parking; beautiful views of the harbour from the large bedroom and livingroom windows; no shortage of hot water for showers; large deck for easy viewing of the harbour;  a very short wait time for an elevator.

Once we were in our apartment, the view of the harbour was amazing and the 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious and we really enjoyed our stay.

This time we had a 1-bedroom suite with the harbour view and that was great as well.

Renting a suite at the Victoria Regent Hotel right on the Victoria harbour provides great views, and is a central location for walking, restaurants, groceries and excursions.

but it was impossible to have our window open due to the smell of smoke from the homeless smoking below us and the noise of their activities 24/7.

Our room had a faint odor of cigarette smoke and the shower was a little wonky

Otherwise the bird poop on the windows, really sucked

Upstairs, the hallways smelled funny, possibly because people had been cooking, and the kitchen and furniture in our unit were looking a little worn.

We came up to a clean smelling 2 bedroom suite, crisp beddings and dust free floors!

The only reason I did not give it a 5 star rating is that I mentioned to the person at the front desk a cleanliness issue (some dark mold on bathtub caulk) twice in our 3 day stay and they did not clean it.

We stayed there for one night during the height of the smoke issues in the area.

15 homeless people living under tarps in the park and they were awake most of the night talking and smoking weed.

We stayed at 3rd floor and the smell wasn't good in the corridor.

The shampoo/conditioner/body wash is in dispensers on the shower wall and smell amazing.

The room was musty and smelled of smokers.

We were in a one bedroom suite over looking the inner harbour, which is beautiful by the way. Unfortunately the bedroom had a musty (body?)

Only major problem I have is that the hotel allows smoking on their balconies and encourages it with ash trays.

I think our floor was party central, loud people until 330am, and lots of pot smokers.

The only negative I could say is that the hallways had an odd smell,

The whole place has some specific smell which I am assuming coming from the old carpet.

I have only marked them down because we experienced food smells from an adjoining room,

Because of this,  our room stunk like smoke most of the time.

Hotel is in a good location with lovely views across the bay.

They even provide binoculars in the room for guests to view the Bay and wildlife.

The balcony with the full view of the beach and ocean was so great, especially when you can see the wildlife right outside your room.

What appears to be a converted Travelodge or HoJos had great views of the bay
