The sixth fairway was easily the most stunning with the dried estuary to the right and a volcanic horizon in the distance across the water of the Mediterranean.

Make sure to get a view of the Mediterranean Sea.

We really enjoyed both the their Tunisian and Mediterranean restaurants as they provided wonderful food and an unforgettable experience.

The service is fantastic, they really take care of you and refer to you with your name.The food is delicious and there is a good balance between Mediterranean recipes and Tunisian food: There is a French/Mediterranean restaurant, a typical "Middle East/North African restaurant" and of course Li-Bai for Asian food!

When you enter, you are immediately taken by the lovely lobby, lounge, and great swimming pool, and a short 3 minute stroll to the Mediterranean sea!

The room service menu is diverse and has something for all taste buds from Mediterranean classics to authentic Tunisian cuisine.

Overlooking the Mediterranean, Hotel Residence is definitely one of the best options when visiting the Tunisian capital.

The Residence is a truly opulent hotel in a splendid setting on the Mediterranean coastline near ancient Carthage, and an ideal base from which to explore the many attractions of the bustling capital city Tunis.

The Mediterranean and the Chinese are the two main restaurants with the Tunisian restaurant opening on the night the Chinese is closed.

From the Mediterranean buffet at Oliver that is simply out of this world, right down to the Chinese food at Li Bai.

We had a lovely spacious room overlooking the Mediterranean.

L'Olivier, offering mediterranean style cuisine, provided a relaxed and beautiful setting for some good meals with excellent and charming service  as well as being the setting for splendid breakfasts.

There is a chinese with superb food, a Tunisian Restaurant and a Mediterranean restaurant so plenty of choice.

The restaurants (a Tunisian, a Chinese and a Mediterranean) were, for a hotel, good value and again, full of helpful welcoming staff.

L'Olivier restaurant was very good serving a combination of modern Mediterranean and traditional North African food.

Good warm reception from the staff, clean rooms with beautiful view of the pool and garden.

Staff, room, clean everywhere - pool, beach, common areas, all; tried all restaurant - pool, beach, in; we did not find any negative aspect.

The beach service and the pool service are not to be outdone.

The staff, the food, the pool, the beach are fabulous!!

Very friendly and helpful personnel, great swimming pool and great variety of food for breakfast.

Several in the building, one by the pool, and another on the beach.

Swiming pools are beatifull and the iondoor one is filled with sea water and warmes up !

Despite bad weather which meant we did not use the pool or beach we had a really relaxing stay and look forward to our next visit.

and an excellent menu for lunch by the pool.

Throughout the fairways, there were fantastic houses dotted along with their gardens, garden statues and swimming pools commanding very posh surroundings.

Good for couples and families, amazing outdoor swimming pool

The public areas and the guest rooms are all of the highest quality, and the gardens, pools and beach were beautiful.

Should it be in couple or in family, the spot is dreamy, the pool magnificent and the beach reminds us of the great Tunisian chill.

We visited this property as part of a large group for a family wedding everything was seamless the rooms are large, facilities are stunning especially the spa and swimming pool are excellent.

One of the best experiences in my travelling life; warmth,  kindness, excellent facilities, great restaurants, spellbinding breakfast, a proficient staff, a luxurious garden, a perfect spa, a beach well looked after, a large  swimming pool.

I had booked a room and privatized the roman pool space for my wedding, months in advance.

however, the pool with salty water and the water jets was super cool.

Beautiful Spa with a wonderful heated swimming pool.

but the staff was extremely kind and received our disapproval with great attentiveness and Mr. Nizzar gave us 1 hour at the pool in the evening just for our family.

I told him I didn’t have a female waitress, so I don’t know what the issue was other than poor customer service.

I will not visit again as I thought the whole experience was very poor.

In the last month, we have had two incidents that demonstrated how poor is the management of this hotel: one incident happened when they double booked a conference room and brutally insisted our participants should leave the room while it was the hotel's mistake.

The breakfast which was a highlight is now poor with not such good quality.

Unfriendly staff, pool and beach restaurants were  closed, poor breakfast with unripe fruits, no "re-fill" of the buffett 20 minutes before end of breakfast.

If I had to pick a flaw, it was the poor Wifi in outdoor areas ( especially by the pool ).

You can tell that they are economising, business is not good after recent events and the staff are fed up and not happy, they will tell you their problems with little encouragement:  poor management, bad working conditions, and they are very worried about their future, quite a depressing experience.

but this alone cannot compensate for poor Brochure Descriptions (Garden rooms face the Car Park / Building Site), the lack of a Conceierge to offer advice or the limited wine list that serves all the restaurants (including the pricey a la carte).

Maintenance work was carried out during our stay so you can see the poor workman ship.

The beach was poor and dozens of jelly fish could be seen close to shore so bathing would be risky!

though the TV channels are poor for English speakers so i would recommend bringing your own DVDs.

Our stay was not helped by poor weather and we spent more time by the indoor pool than we would have preferred.

The beach (in March) was disapponting, poor views, a bit of hassle from local traders etc

It's a poor second to its inspiration in Mauritius.

These can be the only areas for young children or poor swimmers.

Lets put this in context: I work really really hard and whilst I am not a billionaire I am definately not poor.

The pool is in very poor condition even worse is the kiddies pool where disaster awaites some poor family who is taking there kids on holiday. .

I was charged around 250 Tunisian Dinars for green fees, hitting of a golf set, a sleeve of three golf balls and for trolley hire ( around 80 GBP).

The spot I privatized for my ceremony and paid for, had residents from the hotel hanging out in it and there was no security guard to keep them away from the space, my family had to ask people to leave (and
they wouldn't) until security arrived almost an HOUR later while my guests were waiting.

although we have paid the same value for the room for people who are allowed to swim freely.

Prices are up while rooms need to be fixed when it comes to many details: tv functioning, bathrooms, windows, etc.

Unfortunately this country is the only place where you pay money to receive a horrible attitude and bad service.

The prices are way too high and definitely for the deluxe rooms with seaview as the sea isn't that nearby so not a lot of it is seen.

Another incident just few days ago is basically the fact they refused to send an offer with our corporate rate to one of our contractors despite the fact that we confirmed they are a contractor of ours and they are doing work for our project.

There are only three restaurants currently open, and they are a bit pricey,

Part of the team are non trained to be in 5 stars hotel.if you go to the bar,i would rather pay tips before been served so you get a better service and a smile probably.the turkish Hamman needs to be renewed or at least to be painted.

"Overpriced Relaxation" would be the perfect way start to describing this hotel.

but at peak season they bump the prices up to exorbitantly high prices which is a shame for local residents.

The only thing that needed improvement is the time they take to deliver dinner upstairs, also one of the receptionists claimed that the payment wasn't fully paid

however it could be, if more attention to detail were paid, and services were more consistent.

Have been in many good restaurants in Tunisia and this one is expensive.

The hotel room, lobby, outside grounds and restaurants were clean and pleasant.

The room was wonderful, the breakfast was tasty,

From the attentive service staff to the delicious food, everything is aligned for guest satisfaction.

The food was good to and the Spa is also to recommend.

The on site Tunisian restaurant is also excellent.

The access to the beach was easy and there is also a restaurant with a nice variety of food as well.

There are many restaurants to eat and drink at.

The rooms are wonderful; the service is exceptional; the food is excellent, starting from indulgent breakfast with plenty of choice to lunch and dinner.

The bar is really enjoyable with drinkd and light food,.

Food as always was excellent, beautifully presented and very tasty.

Certainly we will be back in the near future: The quality of the service is overwhelming - at the front desk, in the restaurants, on the poolside as well as house keeping.

Good location and wonderful service, the reception was good, also the food was good.

Restaurants are very good, which is not apparently the case in other hotels.

The rooms are very spacious with amazing view to the ocean and very comfortable beds!

The hotel was clean, luxurious and has plenty of room in the main area for guests to relax and enjoy.

This is a beautiful hotel with great views from just about every room.

Rooms are beautiful and offer everything you need.

The room was immaculate and the maid service really friendly and very professional, requests for additional hangers etc were actioned immediately and with a smile , just what you need after a flight and a 3 hour taxi journey.

Room was very clean , breakfast was excellent.

The rooms are well-appointed and have everything you need.

The hotel offers nice and large rooms, great facilities and various restaurants, SPA,Golf and Tennis.

Great facilities, amazing and spacious room with balcony, several restaurants to choose from, and beach activities available as well.

We had an sea view room with more than adequate space.

I would also recommend The Residence as the best hotel to stay in Tunis, very beautiful and elegant rooms and common areas, clean and crystal water beaches, very tasty food, and a great service.

Staff were wonderful and friendly and the hotel was beautiful with plenty of good facilities such as conference rooms, spa, big lobby area.

It is certainly The most Charming Hotel in Tunisia with a great SPA where  an amazing team of highly trained and devoted  staff will take-care of you make your experience absolutely memorable.

Bedroom area was spacious and the Spa was very good.

Thalasso and Spa are wonderful and suites decorated nicely and also outdoor area is outstanding.

Great Staff, Quality, Comfortable bedding, great SPA  and tranqual peaceful place to enjoy.

The SPA is amazing, it is a shame that I couldn’t experience the real Hamam (next time..),

Amazing experience from late arrival to early departure.

All team associates are making a awesome effort to give you a professional and dedicated service experience. When leafing the Hotel you tended to reserve you next stay medially (lets wait what Covid is proposing for my next return)

We are preparing a stay to my parents in law in September so that they enjoy this experience .

It was a great experience and friendly people, I had my wedding proposal there and the best service and the best team ever helped me so much.

I visit the hotel one month ago Is very good experience I like the food the good atmosphere  and the staff are very friendly

It is a mix of traditional culture and international influence bringing a very high level of experience !

Once you enter the compound, you enter another world, everything is great the place of course, the beach, the pool, the SPA is out of this world ask for Amel, she does magic on your back.

The Movenpick Hotel in Gammarth is located beautifully around a bay.

The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful part of the city, it overlooks the sea and has a direct private access to the beach.

I was lucky enough to get a beach view room and the sounds of the sea definitely helped with sleep.

Direct access to the beach, seaside breakfast views, poolside landscape, privacy, exceptional staff, and outstanding spa & hammam, and relative close proximity to the airport & La Marsa Plage are the elements that make this hotel the go-to premium-quality accommodation in Tunis.

I would give 4 stars to the Hotel, excellent architecture, design, paradisiac exteriors, pool next to a clean beach, reception, personnel very polite and receptive, thr Hotel is in a touristic cosy area, there is a Monoprix at 100m, if you want a town you need to go the small balnear station of ElMarsa at 10 km.

Not only are the views over the beach breath taking, the chef does a great job.

I found the service uniformly excellent in all locations (pool, beach area, gym, spa, restaurant, etc.).

The hotel has a main beach with stunning Sunrise.

The location is great, has adults and kids pool, the beach is absolutely perfect.

They respond quickly to services and a well-deserved family hotel…

but just heads-up, here’s what the 150 dinar pass entitles you to: a beach chair/umbrella, towel and water bottle (as well as access to the bathrooms which are, admittedly, pretty nice).

I would advise to come to this hotel to enjoy the swimming pool and private beach.

I complained to the manager on duty who simply apologized for his staff poor performance.

Could do better: all sorts of minor maintenance issues with the room (newly refurbished)  - tv needed electrician for twenty minutes to get working - shouldn’t have bothered because it was a poor picture and limited channels.

It was very poor staff experience in the reception not helpful and raised the hands on my pregnant wife face receptionist called sabrain I don’t recommend any one to book directly with them and be carful check in and out as no guarante for renew bookingtbey not helpful

Welcome at the reception was poor and not representative of Movenpick Hotels in the world.

Nevertheless, the room was of poor quality and needs some maintenance.

but the general level of services remain the same, indeed the  TV service was getting poor during last years (ie.

I do not visit Tunis a lot because of the poor service and quality of hotels .

Bad quality , not clean , good location , bad air conditioning , poor menu of food . .

but Tunisian dinar and said we can exchange in airport in the airport all banks refused it the country infrastructure is very poor and food isn't good at all don't travel to Tunis for tourism only for business and better avoid it

Plus I experienced a very poor service sens during the breakfast.

the hotel did not feel clean  the breakfast was poor            there were very little selection there were foot step marks on the floor of the room  there were not any sports channel  the english channel selection was poor

Hotel need some modification and the security from the seaside is not effective the bedroom light to dark this cover the poor maintenance
Also I observed a lot of service people running around

The menu at the Hotel restaurant during lunch is poor.

However, service is VERY poor and disconnected from the standards the hotel is aimed at.

but still have a very poor maintenance or better the construction is poor so, appear more old than what they are.

Room is the biggest disappointment, reserved sea view and paid extra for it and I get a partial view room looking at the roof of below rooms.

Restaurant is very good and prices are not too bad for a hotel chain.

A day pass to the outdoor pool costs 150 TND of which 70 TND is a credit for food.

We were told there is no difference in the size or anything that would justify this pricing.

Firstly, I doubt you will find a pricier option in Tunisia, unfortunately the basic business class quality simply does not match the First Class price.

So we can go out by taxi for 05 or 10 minutes and you have to ask for the taxi meter that will cost almost nothing.

but way more expensive than the hotels you find in the Tunisian tourists big spots.

Staff are not polite or attentive and far below what is expected for a 5 star hotel or the high price.

but is also at least double other going rates for similar transport.

Last detail, in a middle of my stay I asked the lobby personal to mail a few postcards to my relatives and friends in different countries, paid money for the mailing service.

Over priced if we would think of the quality.

The view from the room was very bad as well in comparison with the price paid vs. other hotels in the region (as Ville Didon for example).

but overpriced and not considered value for money.

We ate at both restaurants for dinner and both were good.

The room service is pretty quick and tasty, the dinner in Horizon was nice as well.

The food was excellent throughout our stay and the staff here were always friendly and helpful.
