There is a fine restaurant that did an excellent buffet breakfast and dinner for one of the nights we were there.

Dinner and breakfast was a dream and service was outstanding.

The location is absolutlely beautiful, the staff is exceptionally courteous and helpful, the food was delicious!

Lovely  breakfast with plenty of variety, Would come back in a flash ; highly recommended to others .

We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and both meals were fantastic with a large selection of food during breakfast.

The food is awesome and breakfast there is nothing missing from the fresh eggs the farmer up the road gives them to the fresh bakery items and homemade jams.

At breakfast, home-made preserves, locally sourced fish and meat, and traditional offerings are included.

Breakfast and food choice in general is excellent

The view from the room over the See was tranquil and the breakfast was excellent.

The breakfast was well appointed, lovely homemade marmalade and a very nice omelet.

Hotel is situated on the lake, with a beautiful view, and extremely delicious cuisine.

A beautiful buffet breakfast just adds to the magic of a stay here, we hope to be back one day, its that beautiful!

Breakfast was on the lake-side terrace and was the perfect way to finish an unforgettable stay at this romantic little spot.

however it did not charge for the whole night for some reason.

I was able to get a refund through my credit card.

(The other night we ordered the schnitzel, which might not be their forte!).

The halls , rooms , cleanliness & grounds are presented to you with a noticable  discipline of order .

Good parking places off season not so during season,  better to park on the street and walk for 3 minutes
I ordered soup and calf liver, was very good.

The only remark about the service was that for our dinner it was quite slow and confused; waiters were running in all directions and mixing orders.

but for some reason the heating never came through.

The only reason why this didn't get a 5 mark is it just lacks a couple of modern creature comforts, such as the wifi didn't work in my room and perhaps the TV is a little small,

Staff were very friendly and the hotel has great breakfasts.

The kitchen providea Austrian/Kantern dishes that are so delicious.

Problem is the streets next to the hotel make it very noisy

It tends to get a bit noisy towards the road, at least if you are not used to hearing any traffic.

Although I was tired so my sleep was not disturbed.

That meant I had to leave the Windows open & hear a lot of road noise.

It was awkward to get into the bath with the shower screen and water went through onto the floor.

We had a very nice time with a great view of the lake, a large terrace, friendly staff, delicious breakfast .

Friendly and helpful staff; cosy, spacious and clean room; delicious breakfast; fantastic views over Millstaetter See; large and well kept gardens with amazing amount of flowers; privat beach; giant trampoline; bycicle hire; supermarket and restaurants nearby, free parking.

We felt the 'zen' moment especially during breakfast at  our  veranda with the beautifull view on the lake.

We just liked the place - room: nice and cosy, breakfast: delicious, view: great, lake: refreshing - road: attention and a bit annoying - very friendly staff, family atmosphere .

We had a small fairly large terrace to enjoy coffee and breakfast in the morning and enjoy the views.

The breakfast buffet has everything you need and is kept constantly replenished.

but the terrace is not welcoming without better furniture and a proper sun umbrella.

Oven would be nice too for some meals that require a oven

teapot with no water, waiting for eggs or meat and so forth.

Boiled eggs are batch cooked so you may have to wait a few miutes

The food was very good- breakfast and dinner.

The room was really clean, rather simple, with no extras, spare two apples on the table.

We loved the addition of a cheese board to the self service buffet

Fantastic views of the lake, alfresco dining on the lake, excellent quality meals, generous breakfast options. Recommended.

The staff are friendly & helpfull, the food is delicious, everywhere is spotlessly clean and the location is perfect.

An average age of guests fifty and older.

Probably most suited to the more mature guest as there are few facilities for older children or teenagers.

Way overpriced! If you take a closer look (walls, carpets etc.)

Staff was accomodating to provide a full breakfast buffet one whole hour earlier to suit my travel plans.

The 
Hotel team was great and had a perfect sunny morning with great Austrian breakfast, delicious bread, cold cuts, local cheese and what we needed.

For prospective Ramblers: Walks are plentiful and varied - and of course beautiful, and our guide was amazing.

Breakfast - choice of two fruit juices, meat and cheeses, three cereals, yoghurt, tinned/fresh fruit, rolls, boiled eggs.

Shame about the reluctance to pay with Credit Card in the restaurant.

The only downside was someone playing the bagpipes from a house across the road until midnight.

If you plan to go swimming and lie around sun bathing, be warned: the 'beach' belonging to the hotel is quite a walk away along a main road, and one can hear the noise of the cars on the beach.

Superb bed and breakfast with friendly host.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.

Everything I said in my first review still stands (breakfast excepted) and it only leaves me to thank Veronika yet again, for being a fantastic hostess.

The breakfast was superb including eggs, breads, cereals, cheeses, cold meets and home baked goodies.

I spoke to Veronika about the breakfast before arriving here and to our surprise, she excelled herself by making us either scrambled egg and bacon or sausage.

It's a little far from the town if you don't have a car.

As mentioned, the fittings were expensive, as were the LG flatscreen TV's.

This is a perfectly adequate pensione with a gracious staff and enchanting breakfast scene (every guest coming in greeted the dining room with Guten Morgen!).

The pension is pleasant, in the city center, breakfast is rich.

The breakfast was rich and and the two women who took care of us were very nice and friendly.

And also thank you for our last breakfast.

You just take it and write it down on a form (each room has its form) and you pay at check-out, when you pay for your whole stay as well.

But because the restaurant was closed on Thursdays, exactly when we arrived, we had to eat dinner somewhere else that night.

Because she makes the tea or coffee herself, for each guest, you might have to wait a little.

There are few restaurants in the city and they are expensive.

It was a bit musty and the wifi was so slow my pages never loaded.

Mr. Steindl proposed to stay a night in some other hotel and to move next day into another apartment (which I didn´t want).

The hotel lacks signage, indeed I drove past it several times whilst trying to find it, as there are no signs to announce itself and I also entered a private apartment by accident looking for the swimming pool.

I would appreciate good working free wi-fi, tasty breakfast, welcome drink (sparkling wine) and reasonable price for the room as well.

What an amazing place, you don’t want to leave from there, rooms are very clean and spacious, breakfast it’s very good and stuff are very nice and helpful, walking distance from the center of the town

However during our stay the restaurants have been closed and we had to go by car to centre of Millstatt am See that is approximately 2 km from the hotel.

We left the following morning after a good breakfast and great nights sleep.

The breakfast was quite good and with multiple food choices .

Comfy beds, nice clean rooms and the breakfast was awesome, I can see why people would come for a long chill out weekend here.

I hope that this was a genuine mistake and not a way to get more money from their half board guests.

Last week I booked 3 nights in this hotel, where my husband and I have been guests for over 30 years.

It was very clear that the mistake was considered ours and not theirs.

The shower head slighted down the whole time.

Allthough breakfast was really great, Food concept at night was  more or less serving the same for everyone (no a-la Carte).

We had the fortune of being taken to a special hut for a magnificent breakfast and hike - a very special moment for the family

I strongly recommend to choose the 3/4 pension solution because you will eat wonderfully  with a great selection of organic delicious food.
