There was also a lot of banging from building work at the hotel and one morning we were sitting in reception and the reception filled with dust so we had to quickly move to the bar area.

Nice bar area and there is a little complex with a few bars and restaurants just across the road.

The lunch menu and Dinner Menua although al a carte was in the bar area

The pool area is spacious and relaxing and the bar area is lovely, with plenty of comfortable seating, so there’s always somewhere to sit.

but fairly basic, staff were great especially in the bar area where they served breakfast and evening meals, along with drinks.

The staff were extremely pleasant and the restaurant is excellent as is the bar area.

The inside bar area had a great singer on the Thursday night,fantastic!

The bar area is pleasant in the evening and the bar man made every effort to make people smile with his infectious personality, full credit to him and apologies for not remembering his name.

The bar area is a nice place to sit and the prices are very reasonable.

The restaurant is good with a reasonable set menu that changes daily and the bar area is relaxing and where Niño rules - get him on the piano.

One of the coffee machines was out of service the following day and was still out of service for the remainder of the week.

but you can not change them at any time throughout your stay 😡 disgusting 

It’s classed as a 4 star hotel with 4 star prices but there was no 
Complementary water (small bottles at 1.2euro)
tea/coffee facilities in the room, we eventually managed to get a kettle and cups but were told we’d have to buy any tea/coffee/sugar needed
no iron/ironing board had to keep asking and eventually got one
Sheets don’t even fit the bed just laid on the top of bed

We had food in the hotel bar a couple of times and on one occasion my wife’s Salad came ten minutes before my food and when I questioned the waiter he said he was stressed because the coffee machine was broken!

Tea and coffee available in the room (no milk).

however if you go down and ask they will send a further teabag and a sugar up - WTF - and this is  supposed to be a 4 star hotel and spa.

There wasn’t a kettle or any tea/coffee facilities

Also that I should not have to ask for teas, coffees when they are advertised on the web site,
Overall 

The room stated on the website tea and coffe facilities hence they said no milk or spoon or coffee just a cup a tea bag each and a kettle big deal what could you do with that so you had to go to the bar to ask or suffer or buy something at a shop.

How one was supposed to have a coffee is anyones guess?

Overpriced, overrated, tired rooms in need of refurbishment, breakfast rationed dry bread and croissant with a meagre amount of thin cheese and ham, coffee or tea €19.90, the only pleasant experience was the young waiter in the dining room,

but when going to get a drink there were two mugs with just sugar and a file of coffee nothing else- no milk !

There was a kettle and two mugs with one sugar and I think a tea sachet in it along with a useless plastic stirrer.

On arrival there were 2 tea bags and a card saying ask for more if needed.

The next day the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices, we were told we could remain around the pool until we were ready to leave and then and when we did we were home with the kettle on and a nice cup of coffee within 20 minutes, no traffic jams . .

If you wanted coffee/milk/other tea, you had to ask reception for it.

No coffee/tea facilities in the room, which apparently is the norm in Spain.

Tea and coffee facilities consisted of two tea bags, no milk or sugar.

Firstly reception staff were very helpful when we initially enquired so we made a booking later that morning,  Restaurant was lovely, nice and airy, staff were amazing, attentive and friendly.

We were welcomed by friendly staff both in the hotel reception and the hotel spa.

Staff are always really friendly and happy to help with any needs.

All the staff were friendly and made our holiday.

The hotel is very clean and I found all the staff very friendly and efficient, special mention to the pool bar man who works so hard.

and the staff were uniformly friendly, professional and excellent, which really showed off their country in a positive light.

As soon as we arrived we were made very welcome by the staff who were very friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff and a lovely hotel, what more can you ask for?

We both had a super time and the hotel staff were all really helpful, friendly and the hotel itself was really nicely laid out.

Can't fault this place, lovely clean rooms, superb staff, gorgeous pool area, breakfast is excellent very big choice, immaculate gradens we will definitely be back loved our week here, reccomend the little don carlos bar and 222 itallian next door great food and drinks at both, 5 stars all the way.

The pool area is kept very clean and the pool itself has a nice big shallow area for non swimmers which for me was very good 
The beer in the bar is served in cold glasses, which again for me was perfect, it also has a fab beer garden, breakfast was a bit of a laugh, self service everything,

Check was easy and hotel room was plenty big enough with a large terrace outside the pool area.

The pool area is just perfect always sunbeds any time of day and it’s so nice and relaxing, pool towels available for 10 euro deposit.

We wandered round the hotel bar and pool area, then went out to one of the bars for lunch.

We had 2 rooms overlooking the pool area (5€ extra per night per room) and they were lovely.

but I visited the restaurant, bar and pool area and the experience was great.

The girls on reception were friendly and helpful, our room was clean and very comfortable, the pool area was lovely and peaceful.

We stayed for one night and had lovely ground floor rooms, leading out onto the gardens and pool area.

We have stayed here before a few years ago and found the standard room rather lacking, so this time we booked a superior room which looked newly renovated and was very comfortable and had a decent sized balcony, great view over the pool area and across to the salt lakes.

Pool area and sun bathing area's are excellent  .

The hotel grounds are beautiful very clean the pool area is beautiful the water in the pool

We used the restaurant’s and bars nearby which were very good.

but food would be available in the bar area this would be of a A La Carte type menu.

( Room 224) We had a light lunch in the bar served by a very friendly waiter  called Yao, followed by swimming in the pool.

From the moment of checking in to using the bar and restaurant facilities, I found all the staff to be very friendly and welcoming.

The food that was provided in the restaurant and the bar was of a high standard.

Bar food was better value and they now have a lovely snack garden to enjoy.

There is also a pizza bar, Irish bar and Indian close.

Stay here often whilst visiting our Casa in Calasparra we love this Hotel friendliness of the staff rooms food all Excellent.A Lovely Swimming Pool -Beauty Treatments Relaxing Bar and a great Restaurant with Breakfast that is to die for also amenities around the la Laguna Good Restaurant Beaches near by also shops.

Location satisfactory and enough bars and restaurants available near hotel ,also very easy to travel to Quesada and Guardamar

There is a pool bar and an informal cafe/garden bar where the food and drink are of excellent quality and very reasonably priced, again all of the staff here are very helpful and friendly.

It was chaos with no organisation from the staff.

the shower is the best ever, reception staff are pleasant too.

The hotel was of a good size, nice facilities, clean, helpful staff and uncomplicated food.

Overall it was great value all inclusive for ten nights.

I have just spent a week at this hotel all inclusive with my family, I was a little concerned reading some of the reviews

though ran out of the all inclusive ice lollies towards the end of the week!

We were half board so can’t comment on all inclusive

The drinks on all inclusive were great, real bottles of coke, branded spirits etc.

The food was good and there was a good selection and even though we were all inclusive we still ate out

We had ordered "all inclusive", and the hotel restaurant serves buffet 3 times per day.

Always sceptical of the all inclusive holiday and only having done it once before I was pleasantly surprised by Hotel Playas De Torrevieja.

Food is very nice the comments about the food I can’t agree with, it’s a all inclusive buffet the same as any other all inclusive hotel.

Bar - lovely variety of drinks and ice cream on all inclusive.

We only really got six days all inclusive ( I am taking this up with tui ) if this was make very clear we could have tryed to get different flight time .

The staff are friendly and helpful and there is an ‘inclusive’ feel to the infrastructure that supports the hotel.

We had 2 rooms overlooking sea,very clean as is all hotel.we were all inclusive as with 2 teens only way to go for us!still able to walk down to pool 11am and find 4 loungers, the hotel staff stack loungers at night daily,
this appears to stop the reserving loungers from happening which is great!nice pool area quiet relaxing.we walked into la mata beach one way or into torreveija centre the other direction both walkable if fit, Also went on land train to torreveija  catch this at tower at back of hotel, turn left out of hotel foyer, walk up
Hill turn right at boat artwork and tower just there land train runs every 30 mins.

The bain Marie's didn't seem to have hot water under them and when they brought new food out, it just came out on a trolley with loads of other dishes so by the time it has been to all 3 stations, it's cold.

Selection was limited and all the food was cold.

The food in the hotel was horrendous as it was limited because the time of the year and it was freezing cold had to heat in the microwave.

but the pool a little cold at this time of year.

however quite cold as the heater/Aircon unit only blew ambient December air.

but naturally water cold in October, plenty of beds, tested frequently, washed down each morning.

The buffet breakfasts were either cold fried and frazzled eggs or uneatable Spanish sausage.

The annex faces north and at this time of year at least, is in the dark and cold.

Lukewarm, and at times cold, poor quality all round..

Fried eggs and other " hot" dishes from self serve buffet were cold. .

Bacon sausage egg beans etc was cold most mornings.

Cold fried eggs stuck to a tray are never appealing.

Hot food was cold if you were late down not much left everything cleared away by 10am.

At night I waked up and it was so cold in the room.

However, the bacon and fried eggs were cold and slimey.

Very nice hotel with very good food,breakfast ,lunch and diner was much to choose .The very friendly staff every were in the hotel.

Nice kids slide and water play area the pool is quite deep for little kids unfortunately so lucky they had fun with slide

Pool area is shaded completely by 4.30pm plenty of sun beds (not the most comfortable and stacked up by the side of the pool)

Pool is cleaned every morning and area around the pool and kids slides etc kept really clean and tidy and isn’t too slippy even under little wet feet.

The sun goes away at 1pm, just a slither in between the two blocks hits the pool area, so unless you want to change the sunbed location and fight the other patrons (pensioners) forget any relaxing in the sun.

The Hotel has a brilliant outlook over the Mediterranean sea, every room has a sea view and overlooks the pool area.

Nice pool area, and there is a new splash park for the smaller ones.

Would recommend if you want a relaxing time we found the pool area was very clean loads of beds and by the pool bar loads of tables and chairs.

They have also improved the kids play area around the pool, with the water slide proving to be a great addition.

FOOD - absolutely horrendous.

By checking into our room we noticed the poor general state of the room.

Sloppy porridge, brocoli and poor quality of a selection.

Noisy and poor isolation
weak tasty food.

The entertainment was pretty poor, mainly just young "animation" people playing music and hoping guests would get up and dance, which they didn't really do.

The food at both breakfast and Dinner was quite poor with a very limited selection.Only hotel have ever been in where there were no boiled eggs at breakfast!

however was TUI, we were amazed how poor the service was on the break.

My few poor words of Spanish came in handy from time to time,

The in room safes has to be rented and are not complimentary and is in poor condition.

Whilst I was there it was mainly Spanish tourists and they definitely got a better service from staff despite being very noisy and leaving mess behind whenever they left be it the pool, restaurant or terrace area.

The pool area became very packed and noisy.

The only thing we were dissatisfied with was the behavior of the hotel reception when they did not want to call an ambulance for our little daughter (suddenly blocked spine, she was lying on the bed and every little movement hurt her, she was crying).

The pool area is always very noisy throughout the day.

The rooms are not very well sound proofed so we had someone banging on our wall one night when we had the TV on and you hear every chair move or loo flush.

Walls were thin and you could hear your neighbours.

Lots of evening activities which perhaps were a little noisy if you wanted a quiet drink.

The walls are way to thin, you hear your neighbours too much.

When we arrived, our first impression of the hotel was it was tired, brown wooden doors and frames, old floor tiles and very noisy.

but when you have kids banging on your door over and over and running off it gets a bit annoying.

We were on the 8th floor, and one downfall was that we could hear the water running clearly in the room above and chairs scraping/doors slamming as the walls are thin.

The whole trip was horrendous from start to finish, I’ll be honest and wasn’t just due to the hotel, never again in torreveijca!!

The only downside is that the walls are quite thin so can hear easily from the rooms either side and above.

Thin walls between the rooms so you can hear the neighbor talk.

I opted for a room on the fifth floor in case it became noisy on the lower levels.

You have to get there early doors tho as the Spanish who eat later in evening get very noisy indeed so when the restaurant is full you can’t here yourself think .

but came back and saw the last bit of entertainment which was varied, some better than others.

The evening entertainment went on outside from 10pm until midnight every night.

This hotel is ok for family’s with young children & retired couples, personally we wouldn’t come here again and I love Spain and the people - sorry guys
Btw nowhere nearby to change your euros only a couple places in Torrevieja itself or use the banks.

An amazing experience was the hosted groups of HABANERAS choir singers who sang from the hotel pool and people stood on the balconies of their rooms listening and clapping in amazement. Splendor!

Entertainment was provided every night and daytime activities.

If I had one slight grumble it was probably the evening entertainment.

The evening entertainment was a bit naff if I’m honest , it was all in Spanish and aimed more at the children which was great

From early morning games and power dance to late night mini disco and entertainment, you are all the unsung heroes of this hotel.thanks for a wonderful time!

All the entertainment and any announcements are in Spanish only.

Entertainment every night and the animation team worked very hard.

but would like to come back on the summer as lovely atmosphere
All staff very friendly and entertainment a real plus as was not expected
