There was also a lot of banging from building work at the hotel and one morning we were sitting in reception and the reception filled with dust so we had to quickly move to the bar area.

Nice bar area and there is a little complex with a few bars and restaurants just across the road.

The pool area is spacious and relaxing and the bar area is lovely, with plenty of comfortable seating, so there’s always somewhere to sit.

but fairly basic, staff were great especially in the bar area where they served breakfast and evening meals, along with drinks.

The staff were extremely pleasant and the restaurant is excellent as is the bar area.

The inside bar area had a great singer on the Thursday night,fantastic!

The bar area is pleasant in the evening and the bar man made every effort to make people smile with his infectious personality, full credit to him and apologies for not remembering his name.

The bar area is a nice place to sit and the prices are very reasonable.

The restaurant is good with a reasonable set menu that changes daily and the bar area is relaxing and where Niño rules - get him on the piano.

One of the coffee machines was out of service the following day and was still out of service for the remainder of the week.

but you can not change them at any time throughout your stay 😡 disgusting 

It’s classed as a 4 star hotel with 4 star prices but there was no 
Complementary water (small bottles at 1.2euro)
tea/coffee facilities in the room, we eventually managed to get a kettle and cups but were told we’d have to buy any tea/coffee/sugar needed
no iron/ironing board had to keep asking and eventually got one
Sheets don’t even fit the bed just laid on the top of bed

We had food in the hotel bar a couple of times and on one occasion my wife’s Salad came ten minutes before my food and when I questioned the waiter he said he was stressed because the coffee machine was broken!

however if you go down and ask they will send a further teabag and a sugar up - WTF - and this is  supposed to be a 4 star hotel and spa.

Overall 

The room stated on the website tea and coffe facilities hence they said no milk or spoon or coffee just a cup a tea bag each and a kettle big deal what could you do with that so you had to go to the bar to ask or suffer or buy something at a shop.

How one was supposed to have a coffee is anyones guess?

Overpriced, overrated, tired rooms in need of refurbishment, breakfast rationed dry bread and croissant with a meagre amount of thin cheese and ham, coffee or tea €19.90, the only pleasant experience was the young waiter in the dining room,

but when going to get a drink there were two mugs with just sugar and a file of coffee nothing else- no milk !

There was a kettle and two mugs with one sugar and I think a tea sachet in it along with a useless plastic stirrer.

On arrival there were 2 tea bags and a card saying ask for more if needed.

The next day the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices, we were told we could remain around the pool until we were ready to leave and then and when we did we were home with the kettle on and a nice cup of coffee within 20 minutes, no traffic jams . .

If you wanted coffee/milk/other tea, you had to ask reception for it.

No coffee/tea facilities in the room, which apparently is the norm in Spain.

Tea and coffee facilities consisted of two tea bags, no milk or sugar.

Can't fault this place, lovely clean rooms, superb staff, gorgeous pool area, breakfast is excellent very big choice, immaculate gradens we will definitely be back loved our week here, reccomend the little don carlos bar and 222 itallian next door great food and drinks at both, 5 stars all the way.

The pool area is kept very clean and the pool itself has a nice big shallow area for non swimmers which for me was very good 
The beer in the bar is served in cold glasses, which again for me was perfect, it also has a fab beer garden, breakfast was a bit of a laugh, self service everything,

Check was easy and hotel room was plenty big enough with a large terrace outside the pool area.

The pool area is just perfect always sunbeds any time of day and it’s so nice and relaxing, pool towels available for 10 euro deposit.

We wandered round the hotel bar and pool area, then went out to one of the bars for lunch.

We had 2 rooms overlooking the pool area (5€ extra per night per room) and they were lovely.

but I visited the restaurant, bar and pool area and the experience was great.

The girls on reception were friendly and helpful, our room was clean and very comfortable, the pool area was lovely and peaceful.

We stayed for one night and had lovely ground floor rooms, leading out onto the gardens and pool area.

We have stayed here before a few years ago and found the standard room rather lacking, so this time we booked a superior room which looked newly renovated and was very comfortable and had a decent sized balcony, great view over the pool area and across to the salt lakes.

From the moment of checking in to using the bar and restaurant facilities, I found all the staff to be very friendly and welcoming.

The food that was provided in the restaurant and the bar was of a high standard.

There is a pool bar and an informal cafe/garden bar where the food and drink are of excellent quality and very reasonably priced, again all of the staff here are very helpful and friendly.

There are no tea or coffe making facilities in the room (you get a complementary kettle for one day which is absurd )

The room was kept very clean daily

We had the opportunity to have massages and it was fantastic

The breakfast provides for a large variety of food

The hotel is very large with over 500 rooms and is very busy and noisy and appears to be popular with Spanish people .

We got in on a Friday and apparently weekends are busy because the Spanish people generally book weekends away well I’m the buffet people were like flies to poo standing waiting and pushing for food.

The hotel desk was too busy booking in new guests to answer our calls.

This meant that meal times very busy, be aware of the chocolate fountain!

There were 5 lifts and we only found them busy after breakfast and after lunch where many of the Spanish guests went for a siesta, leaving the pool area quite empty.

but for anyone with children expecting them to be fully cognisant of what is going on, be aware of this;

- The resort is very busy - VERY busy - with families, tending towards either Spanish, the odd German and English family and then Eastern European.

A private beach with privacy and not excessively busy.

I wouldn't stay there because I dont like big busy hotels

Id hate to go there in the height of summer due to how busy I can see it getting and the queing we did for lifts and dinner halls would be a nightmare then.

although a lot of people reserve them with their towels in the morning, it gets busy around 10-1 and then quietens down which is usually the time to get the best sun beds.

The buffet wasn't great, mainly burgers and chips in an exceptionally busy restaurant which seats nearly 900 people, the hours of dining are allocated to whichever floor you are on, our dinner time was from 21.45!

Its a family hotel and very busy, so meal times are a noisy affair, pool is noisy, so its not suited for people who want a quite break.

Pool area does get very very busy with kids.

Reception is always busy & you queue to talk to someone.

Wine in bottles and branded bottled soft drinks so this was very impressive) The pool area was great with lots of available sunbeds and shade as all the Spanish never reserved beds and would pack everything up to go to lunch.

The rate was very reasonable and our room was clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking part pool area and sea.

Hotel bar too bright and sole less , pool area tired, totally weird route to pool felt like walking through a factory.

This is a very nice hotel by the sea the rooms are done to a great standard, the beds are very spacious and comfortable there is a fridge in the room which is very handy for your cold drinks on hot days and nights there are plenty of sun beds chairs and tables around the pool area and a nice cafe bar.

The room and bathroom were a good size, clean, modern ,well equipped .The pool area was nice and i find a great cousine.

queued up for two hrs as they had only one person on the check in desk.

We arrived late in the Friday and as we were the only arrival no queue for checkin.

The dinning room was crowded and loud and a “free for all “ with queues and people bustling about trying to get a plate of food !

It offers all inclusive rates which many were on and whether this was the reason behind such queues I don't know.

Get in the queue at 8.25pm or don't expect a table.

Absolutely full to busting of Spanish families with very noisy children .Meal time only had 2 sitting so huge queue formed then once you got into restaurant it reminded me of a cattle market when they open the gates then run around frantically looking and grabbing anything in site.

The canteen was a nightmare, not enough seats for guests, massive queues, people fighting over food and tables.

The entrance to the restaurant changed so people were queuing everywhere.

my partner sat at a table waiting for me and was approached and very rudely and loudly spoken to in Spanish, it turns out that she was sitting at a table set for 4 people

but still queues started to form for the elevators and so on.

but go to the Bar as  many times as they wanted to but would have to rejoin the queue.

In the evening the restaurant was very crowded, and there were rather long queues.

2 seatings for dinner which can cause queuing which I think needs looking at by nanagement.

Guests queued to enter a closed restaurant for 20:00 and the doors were closed at 20:30.

Guests were mainly Spanish pensioners, some of which were very rude and don't agree with queuing.

Only problem I have with this place is their system for dining, evening meal starts at 20,30_21,00 where around 650 people queue to rush into the dining room at the same time

You could be 1st in the cue and ull be served last as our faces didnt fit.

It is a pity, then, that 3 times a day in this completely soulless and also very noisy canteen you prefer to get your meal over with as quickly as possible, when eating should actually be a pleasant thing, especially on holiday.

Walls paper thin, could hear conversations and the last night, a couple having a blazing row at 1.30am, thought they was coming through the wall.

but you can hear everything from next room, walls very thin.

This is very much a package holiday hotel with a constant stream of coach parties arriving and departing.

The bedroom walls are very thin so did not sleep well with snoring and neighbours keeping TV on all night!

Only problem was noise the walls are so thin.

No road noise so had a comfortable sleep.

The acoustics in this cafeteria are awful akin to being in a noisy swimming pool - so don’t come here for a quiet or relaxing holiday .

The rooms were very small, dated, not well maintained and heard every noise from neighbouring rooms (had very little sleep due to this).

Not very sound proof if you have noisy neighbours though.

This is a big hotel (500) rooms  over a 1000 people when full so the restaurant is big and very noisy.

We did not hear another English voice during our stay.

There is no sound proofing between rooms and you can hear your neighbours every move !

One other thing to note is that the room walls were paper thing you could hear a full conversation in the next room, luckily it was my mum and her friend.

but big q.ty Hotel structure is a mess.. noise.

One evening we were seated in a side room which was horrible (albeit quiet) with an attempt at a small buffet which was lacking.

Beds and towels changed daily along with room clean.

A 20 minute drive from Alicante/Elche Airport and situated right on the sandy beach at the south end of Guardamar, this hotel is immaculately clean and all rooms have a side sea view.

if you travel with children you are very lucky because the animations team are lovely and keep the children busy.are room were clean every day,the food was so so good.the small shop is just next to the hotel so you can buy cold drink.the beach are beautiful

Having said that the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the food is good in both quality and quantity with the exception of the fried egg yolks at breakfast which would make good ping pong balls.

Check in was quick and efficient and our room was spotlessly clean with 2 large beds, good bathroom and private balcony with sea views.

The rooms were clean and equipped with a small TV with limited channels for the British traveller .

The rooms were spotless and perfectly adequate for our needs, it probably compares to Holiday Inn Express standards in the U.K.

The cleaners would come back in the afternoon if we had the do not disturb sign on in the morning, they always made sure we had clean towels and the always left our room spotless.

Great walks both ways on the beach as well.

It's located around 3km from the town centre (30-minute walk along the beach or a regular bus service) right on the beach front.

Hotel is situated in really quiet area so if you are looking for going out near by its not for you.If you have a car that might help as local bus stop is long waking distance.I walked 30 by the beach to the centre of Guardamar where are around 6 restaurants by the beach and big,cheep supermarket in the town.Hotel might get busier at weekend with local Spanish people.

My kids literally had the pool to themselves for most of the day during the week and with it being a minutes walk to the beach as well it was ideal.

If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing holiday then this hotel would be ideal as it’s a 2 min walk from the beach and there’s a big pool.

Easy walk down to beach which was lovely with beach bar

We used it Wednesday morning, for the market, get off at bus terminal and market across the road, we walked back along the beach which took about 20 mins or so.

We enjoyed lovely weather, beautiful beach and walking

but you can get to a nice bar/restaurant in a fifteen minute walk along the beach, this was the nearest place to drink and eat outside of the hotel.

Top tip take a walk along the beach to guardamar for evening meal, beautiful walk and very safe.

Point 1: the walk to the beach is a stones throw away and we had the panoramic room so had lovely views of the sea and beach with a Jacuzzi tub overlooking the sea.

We have a lovely meal in town and walked the beach back which was gorgeous.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere and it is a 20 min walk along the beach into Guardamar town (restaurants and cafes only really).

The beach is 20meters walk down a wooden walkway, it has a bar and sunloungers to hire, both are reasonably priced.

You can walk along the beach from Guardamar to Torreveija if you like walking, bout 8 miles.

The outsidepaint is walking off the walls.

The reviews online had mentioned that the walls were very thin between the rooms

The room walls are very thin we never got a good night sleep due to families coming back to the room around 130am and banging on the walls and screaming, could still hear them over earplugs.
