One of the coffee machines was out of service the following day and was still out of service for the remainder of the week.

but you can not change them at any time throughout your stay 😡 disgusting 

It’s classed as a 4 star hotel with 4 star prices but there was no 
Complementary water (small bottles at 1.2euro)
tea/coffee facilities in the room, we eventually managed to get a kettle and cups but were told we’d have to buy any tea/coffee/sugar needed
no iron/ironing board had to keep asking and eventually got one
Sheets don’t even fit the bed just laid on the top of bed

We had food in the hotel bar a couple of times and on one occasion my wife’s Salad came ten minutes before my food and when I questioned the waiter he said he was stressed because the coffee machine was broken!

How one was supposed to have a coffee is anyones guess?

The room stated on the website tea and coffe facilities hence they said no milk or spoon or coffee just a cup a tea bag each and a kettle big deal what could you do with that so you had to go to the bar to ask or suffer or buy something at a shop.

Overpriced, overrated, tired rooms in need of refurbishment, breakfast rationed dry bread and croissant with a meagre amount of thin cheese and ham, coffee or tea €19.90, the only pleasant experience was the young waiter in the dining room,

but when going to get a drink there were two mugs with just sugar and a file of coffee nothing else- no milk !

There was a kettle and two mugs with one sugar and I think a tea sachet in it along with a useless plastic stirrer.

On arrival there were 2 tea bags and a card saying ask for more if needed.

The next day the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices, we were told we could remain around the pool until we were ready to leave and then and when we did we were home with the kettle on and a nice cup of coffee within 20 minutes, no traffic jams . .

If you wanted coffee/milk/other tea, you had to ask reception for it.

No coffee/tea facilities in the room, which apparently is the norm in Spain.

Can't fault this place, lovely clean rooms, superb staff, gorgeous pool area, breakfast is excellent very big choice, immaculate gradens we will definitely be back loved our week here, reccomend the little don carlos bar and 222 itallian next door great food and drinks at both, 5 stars all the way.

There are no tea or coffe making facilities in the room (you get a complementary kettle for one day which is absurd )

The room was very clean, the spa and pool were great places to relax after a long day of viewings.

All the public areas - reception, bar, restaurant and pool area are well kept and spotlessly clean and the rooms themselves are also a pleasure to stay in.

The restaurant got very busy with spanish visitors at the weekends

The hotel is very large with over 500 rooms and is very busy and noisy and appears to be popular with Spanish people .

We got in on a Friday and apparently weekends are busy because the Spanish people generally book weekends away well I’m the buffet people were like flies to poo standing waiting and pushing for food.

The hotel desk was too busy booking in new guests to answer our calls.

This meant that meal times very busy, be aware of the chocolate fountain!

There were 5 lifts and we only found them busy after breakfast and after lunch where many of the Spanish guests went for a siesta, leaving the pool area quite empty.

but for anyone with children expecting them to be fully cognisant of what is going on, be aware of this;

- The resort is very busy - VERY busy - with families, tending towards either Spanish, the odd German and English family and then Eastern European.

A private beach with privacy and not excessively busy.

I wouldn't stay there because I dont like big busy hotels

Id hate to go there in the height of summer due to how busy I can see it getting and the queing we did for lifts and dinner halls would be a nightmare then.

although a lot of people reserve them with their towels in the morning, it gets busy around 10-1 and then quietens down which is usually the time to get the best sun beds.

The buffet wasn't great, mainly burgers and chips in an exceptionally busy restaurant which seats nearly 900 people, the hours of dining are allocated to whichever floor you are on, our dinner time was from 21.45!

Its a family hotel and very busy, so meal times are a noisy affair, pool is noisy, so its not suited for people who want a quite break.

Pool area does get very very busy with kids.

Reception is always busy & you queue to talk to someone.

It is a pity, then, that 3 times a day in this completely soulless and also very noisy canteen you prefer to get your meal over with as quickly as possible, when eating should actually be a pleasant thing, especially on holiday.

Walls paper thin, could hear conversations and the last night, a couple having a blazing row at 1.30am, thought they was coming through the wall.

but you can hear everything from next room, walls very thin.

This is very much a package holiday hotel with a constant stream of coach parties arriving and departing.

The bedroom walls are very thin so did not sleep well with snoring and neighbours keeping TV on all night!

Only problem was noise the walls are so thin.

No road noise so had a comfortable sleep.

The acoustics in this cafeteria are awful akin to being in a noisy swimming pool - so don’t come here for a quiet or relaxing holiday .

The rooms were very small, dated, not well maintained and heard every noise from neighbouring rooms (had very little sleep due to this).

Not very sound proof if you have noisy neighbours though.

This is a big hotel (500) rooms  over a 1000 people when full so the restaurant is big and very noisy.

We did not hear another English voice during our stay.

There is no sound proofing between rooms and you can hear your neighbours every move !

One other thing to note is that the room walls were paper thing you could hear a full conversation in the next room, luckily it was my mum and her friend.

One evening we were seated in a side room which was horrible (albeit quiet) with an attempt at a small buffet which was lacking.

Absolutely full to busting of Spanish families with very noisy children .Meal time only had 2 sitting so huge queue formed then once you got into restaurant it reminded me of a cattle market when they open the gates then run around frantically looking and grabbing anything in site.

Beds and towels changed daily along with room clean.

The rate was very reasonable and our room was clean and spacious with a balcony overlooking part pool area and sea.

A 20 minute drive from Alicante/Elche Airport and situated right on the sandy beach at the south end of Guardamar, this hotel is immaculately clean and all rooms have a side sea view.

if you travel with children you are very lucky because the animations team are lovely and keep the children busy.are room were clean every day,the food was so so good.the small shop is just next to the hotel so you can buy cold drink.the beach are beautiful

Having said that the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the food is good in both quality and quantity with the exception of the fried egg yolks at breakfast which would make good ping pong balls.

Check in was quick and efficient and our room was spotlessly clean with 2 large beds, good bathroom and private balcony with sea views.

Shocking is the only explanation for this hotel firstly walls are terribly thin and can hear every single noise from the neighbouring rooms.

The walls of the rooms are very thin as we could hear the neighbours finishing their holiday off with a bang. .

Negative points would be the thin walls & loud dining room which holds a large number of people.

The walls were really thin, i could hear everything from the other room.

Agree walls are thin and you can here people in adjoining rooms

The walls are paper thin, you can hear Miguel and Isabella having the chats 5 rooms down.

this hotel is made for couples over 50 nothing near by.room are very noisy as walls are paper thin you hear everything.food always cold.

There are no carpets to muffle/absorb the sounds and the walls seem to intensify the volume. Horrible.

but last night the noise went on till 01.30 on the night we had an early start to the airport!

but was facing the quieter side street so away from street noise but you are still aware of some noise.

No sound proofing at all either internally or externally so noisy.

The walls are very thin and we could often hear couples in throws of passion day and night.

Air-con a bit noisy at times and shower could sometimes vary in temperature (suddenly very hot for a few seconds).

If there was one thing I'd say that didn't "sound" so well, is that you can hear a lot of noise from the streets, going late and starting early,

Just one word of warning, if your room faces a street do not expect a lie in especially mid week as the traffic noise is quite intrusive.

Admittedly it was a bit noisy as we were opposite the wine bar,

It was also very noisy from something sounding like a lift shaft

I'm not sure if he is the owner or a manager of the hotel (my fault as I was in a quiet contemplative mood on the break and didn't engage him in much conversation),

but if you are sensitive to noise it may be worth keeping it cool.

With the windows open it can be a little noisy at night as the bins are emptied at 5am

but spotlessly clean and with this fact and Carlos on the desk, it helped take my mind off the sparsely furnished, basic decor and noisy air con.

Tv did have some English channels rooms where clean also a fridge in the room which is handy.

My room was spotless, and the food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pool is definitely not child friendly as its deep throughout so not for non swimmers of any age, also means rarely every any children at the hotel, which might suit those who want a quite time.

Only slight disadvantage was the pool is very deep with no shallow end for children.

but there is no shallow end so kids need armbands!

The pool is not suitable for children or for the disabled

I visited this hotel with my partner and our 2 children along with my sister and niece.

So me and my daughter decided to go on a family holiday with my sister and brother in law and there children, so all in all 3 adults and 3 children aged 9,9,and 6.

A request for two tea bags was met with 'we might have to charge extra' by a snotty girl on reception.

Not suitable for children as there is nothing for them to do and the hotel is well out of the way from the town centre.

So there is no place for children at the poolside!

Only downside was that the pool is all 1 level and is very very deep, so not for poor swimmers or kids.

After waiting for my starter for an hour and a half I asked the waiter if it was definitely gluten free.

I asked her if it was on the front and she then said she had another room on the front for €150. Ok.

Not enough staff, No balcony as requested.

The washing machine was broken and our bag of cleaning we requested was returned.

Inadequate bar staffing, especially during the day, we had to find staff to serve us drinks at lunchtime, in fact one waitress was rather rude when we requested to take drinks outside on patio, not in pool area.

We had a later flight and asked to either keep the room on for a bit longer or use another room so we could shower

As we were not flying back until late on the Monday we asked if we could have the room later than the 12pm check out and the reception said "no problem" and that we could have it until 2pm, no charge.

On the third day I asked the receptionist to be changed to another room.

The staff were very professional and the service was very good.The rooms were very clean.

Very dated with very thin walls in the rooms so you can hear everything from toilet duties to the restaurant being set up at 1 am below your room, smell of sewage in bathroom.

Walls are very thin and we could hear people next door to us.

The little balcony while nice had no privacy as the walls around it on all sides are low and and a few rooms could look directly into mine.

It's the kind of wall that kids will want to walk on so be careful.

The bain Marie's didn't seem to have hot water under them and when they brought new food out, it just came out on a trolley with loads of other dishes so by the time it has been to all 3 stations, it's cold.

Selection was limited and all the food was cold.

The food in the hotel was horrendous as it was limited because the time of the year and it was freezing cold had to heat in the microwave.

but the pool a little cold at this time of year.

however quite cold as the heater/Aircon unit only blew ambient December air.

but naturally water cold in October, plenty of beds, tested frequently, washed down each morning.

The buffet breakfasts were either cold fried and frazzled eggs or uneatable Spanish sausage.
