The bar and breakfast staff in particular were very welcoming.

I stayed there for 3 days at a wedding in june, and the hotel did that very well,  this is a fine 5 star hotel, the things standing out is how good  and polite the staff was, and the breakfast was very good,

The breakfast buffet was monotonous and almost without any fresh vegetables.

however, the evening menu served in the buffet restaurant fell well short of even being acceptable.

And what is the buffet in the hotel - exactly like breakfast.

The service and food at the bar/restaurant its terrible, ( a big surprise and disappointed cause in others AC Marriott are really good ) Breakfast self service  its ok .

We had a buffet breakfast and there was so much choice so well laid out.

No tea at the room only coffee and I asked for a simple bag of tea to do by myself in my room and they wanted to charge me as  a bar tea drink.!!! :0

Considering that there aren't any tea making facilities in the rooms, it was very disappointing to find that complimentary water was only provided on the first night.

One small let down there are no Tea/Coffee making facilities available in the rooms, if you like a lie in and miss breakfast as i did daily a Coffee when you wake up is a must!

2, No tea/coffee station in any of the rooms, Come on la Finca - I have stayed at many 5* hotels and I have never come across a room without Tea or Coffee in the room.

but again only picnic, but he did offer to put out some coffee and tea for us, but can you believe they served this in thin plastic water cups!

but having stayed in similar rated places I would say 4 star, with a few tweaks could be 5 star .The little things make the difference, the rooms although clean and comfy had no tea making facilities, no iron, 1 bottle of complimentary water in 4 days and we were left just 1 bath towel on occasion.

There are no tea/ coffee facilities in the rooms, the door to the balcony cannot be shut from the outside so i would imagine all the mosquitoes can get in during the summer if you want to sit out there.

but no Tea or Coffee making, Alarmingly there is no way of locking door from inside, so if you are undressed you need to move pretty quickly if the maid enters.

We had also cancelled one round of prebooked golf according to the hotel's terms 2 days prior to booked tea time and returned the golf voucher to the reception.

Only one thing I did miss in the room was a tea making facility and iron

The only thing I really needed was a kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

but so very full no room for pudding or coffee.

One astonishing point is that in this "five stars" hotel you won't get the possibilty to make yourself a tea or coffee in rooms.

2 disappointments - 
1 - no coffee or tea making facilities in room.

My sister in law, who had already been at the hotel for a few days, went down the cafeteria only to be told no they would not make coffee.

However, the staff should provide tea & coffee facilities in the room and a mosquito killing facility.

We were lucky to get a 1st floor room overlooking the pool, (2212) There are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms so be prepared to pay extra delivery charge for the pleasure.

Comming with large group of golfers, our main target was, to have satisfactory golf.

Good location next to the golf course, quiet and peaceful neighborhood.

We were at La Finca for a two nights early Christmas golf away trip.

We played golf on a number of occasions and really enjoyed the La Finca course - we were paired with the same lovely couple from Denmark on both occasions.

One thing I would definitely recommend would be going for food at the golf clubhouse/bar in the evening.

the boys said golf was good and easy to arrange.

I played golf on the Saturday and the courses are immaculate, the greens are quick Olive trees in abundance - very pretty.

Very welcome breeze up there and lovely views over the golf course.

2nd visit to this establishment, Hotel & Golf were both a pleasure to stay & play, rooms are spotless, golf courses are ideal for societies of varied handicaps.

Recently stayed at hotel as part of golf break.

We also dined at their ala carte restaurant where the quality of food was outstanding, With the attached golf course and spa make this hotel an outstanding destination in the area.

Golf was great and we played 3 rounds during our stay .

The beautiful golf terrain, nature and service make it the perfect location for a fantastic vacation.

We then asked the staff at the bar who also couldn't help where the wedding was.

What is also bad there was no service at the pool and we were sitting in our chairs and nobody asked us if you want to drink something!Also it is not possible to order food at the pool.

On Sunday it was raining heavily and I asked the hotel to call the Marquesa Golf club for them to issue a rain check.

At 13:23 on Saturday 5th, I called back and asked to re-arrange my tee time due to the thunderstorms, and I was given a revised tee time of 15:00 on Sunday 7th April - today, and I again checked that the price was still the same.

The next day I asked another male receptionist,

I then asked if during the course of the day someone could get me a throat spray from a pharmacy and again received the same instant ‘NO’
They showed not the slightest interest in my predicament whatsoever.

When I complained to the receptionist about the gym debacle, particularly no lighter weights being available, he said I should have asked him for them - grrrr!

Once again we complained about the water and we were asked if we could wait for about an hour to get warm water!

We separately asked for a bedroom to have a door.

However, it really, really bothers me when I am served items like bread, or appetisers without being asked, and then being charged (a lot) for them when the bill arrives.

This was not the case they asked if I wanted to arrange flowers and wine obviously with a charge.

although we weren't asked if we had an allergies; something we would have expected.

I asked the manager to come to my room to discuss these issues as I was very disappointed he apologised and was going to work out some compensation as this wasn't the service he would expect us to recieve.

I asked for a fan to point at my son, not possible.

I booked this via phone a couple of weeks before and asked if the treatment offered in the deal could be changed slightly, (my friend preferred a facial instead of the massage offered) this was no problem.

When asked we were told that they wouldn't open it except on a weekend and we couldn't see the manager till next Monday.

above and that they have just kept my goods for them to deliver it to me on my request.

but there was even an unwillingness to accomodate our request for a hair dryer.

The bar and bar food is OK, and reasonably priced.

The golf clubhouse bar is great and the food there is tasty and very reasonable, the food was all of a high standard.

but there are some nice restuarants and a couple of bars at the entrance to the resort which we tried and they were both very good.

Food at both club , restaurant and bar all very good.

We had a light lunch in the bar, Salad, Quesadilla & Wine.

even though we mostly ate from the bar menu there was plenty of variety on there.

Twenty minute stroll into the commercial centre offers a selection of good bars and restaurants.

Amazing views, a lot of residents are ex-pats and a friendly bar and restaurant area at the front of la finca.

All of the bar and eating areas are welcoming and staff friendly and attentive.

You can also order food from the snack menu in the bar area which is reasonably priced.

We chose a bar meal of chicken and bacon club sandwich which was very filling.

Breakfast has everything you could wish for and bar food is reasonably priced and well prepared.

The outdoor pool and gardens are beautiful and there are several bars and restaurants to choose from.

Staff were first class from reception, bar and restaurant.

La Finca hotel is a quite big hotel with 120 rooms, with a buffet breakfast, a restaurants and a bar.

Bar is great and the food served is brilliant by really lovely staff including Adrian, Carolina and Resario and some other equally helpful staff whose names I didn't get.

but to the nearest restaurants and bars it was only 7 euros in a taxi, we used the taxi service and the drivers were very nice and made you feel comfortable, also the hotel gives you the taxi company number in the welcome pack.

The staff were magnificent throughout the resort - from Christina in Reception through to everyone we encountered in the Bar, Restaurant, Spa.

Spa was great I had one of the best pedicures ever .

Currently staying at La Finca Golf and Spa
Very modern hotel, great facilities

Went to the spa at La Finca Golf and Spa Resort and had and hour message for around €65 and then use of the full spa facilities.

Rooms clean and comfortable and the spa was an amazing luxury.

I also went to the spa for a treatment everyday.

Noub, you can keep your empty spa and hotel.

Of course we did not want to wait so we were mercifully offered an possibility "to take a shower at hotel's spa".

We both booked various SPA Treatments; Water Circuit, Massage, manicure (*Alejandra*).

We were on a golf holiday, so we did not spent much time on the pool (or spa), so these are not estimated in this review.

I almost fell asleep during my relaxing massage.

The 3 course lunch was amazing and very tasty 
Unbeatable price.

Overall it was great value all inclusive for ten nights.

I have just spent a week at this hotel all inclusive with my family, I was a little concerned reading some of the reviews

though ran out of the all inclusive ice lollies towards the end of the week!

We were half board so can’t comment on all inclusive

The drinks on all inclusive were great, real bottles of coke, branded spirits etc.

The food was good and there was a good selection and even though we were all inclusive we still ate out

We had ordered "all inclusive", and the hotel restaurant serves buffet 3 times per day.

Always sceptical of the all inclusive holiday and only having done it once before I was pleasantly surprised by Hotel Playas De Torrevieja.

Food is very nice the comments about the food I can’t agree with, it’s a all inclusive buffet the same as any other all inclusive hotel.

We only really got six days all inclusive ( I am taking this up with tui ) if this was make very clear we could have tryed to get different flight time .

We had 2 rooms overlooking sea,very clean as is all hotel.we were all inclusive as with 2 teens only way to go for us!still able to walk down to pool 11am and find 4 loungers, the hotel staff stack loungers at night daily,
this appears to stop the reserving loungers from happening which is great!nice pool area quiet relaxing.we walked into la mata beach one way or into torreveija centre the other direction both walkable if fit, Also went on land train to torreveija  catch this at tower at back of hotel, turn left out of hotel foyer, walk up
Hill turn right at boat artwork and tower just there land train runs every 30 mins.

Very nice hotel with very good food,breakfast ,lunch and diner was much to choose .The very friendly staff every were in the hotel.

Paid for bed and breakfast and was happy with the selection cost.

We had breakfast every day, which was buffet style and plentiful with a great variety.

Breakfast was ok, lots of fruit and yoghurt as well as pastries and then a few bits which changed every day.

The food was plentiful and was different everyday.

Poolside bar served ice creams some were included in the all inclusive and they also served hotdogs, toasties and crisps, breakfast lunch and dinner were all in buffet restaurant.

The food was OK, sometimes it was luke warm and the bacon was always undercooked.

Good Points, Lovely hotel with great views, clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast spread, decent priced bar and well placed for trips out to lovely seaside restaurants.

I wished that there was some fresh vegetables or salads available at breakfast meal.

there was a lot of entertainment for kids which was indeed fun to see and hotel staff were friendly and helpful,  Avery good selection for breakfast.

We went breakfast incl and happy enough with that.

Pleasant staff, easy check-in and check-out, good breakfast, comfortable room, not far away from sea cost, reasonable price, own free parking outside.

Breakfast in the morning was good with wide selection of fruit, meats cheese, cereal and hot food.

The bain Marie's didn't seem to have hot water under them and when they brought new food out, it just came out on a trolley with loads of other dishes so by the time it has been to all 3 stations, it's cold.

Selection was limited and all the food was cold.

The food in the hotel was horrendous as it was limited because the time of the year and it was freezing cold had to heat in the microwave.

but the pool a little cold at this time of year.

however quite cold as the heater/Aircon unit only blew ambient December air.

but naturally water cold in October, plenty of beds, tested frequently, washed down each morning.

The buffet breakfasts were either cold fried and frazzled eggs or uneatable Spanish sausage.

The annex faces north and at this time of year at least, is in the dark and cold.

Lukewarm, and at times cold, poor quality all round..

Fried eggs and other " hot" dishes from self serve buffet were cold. .

Bacon sausage egg beans etc was cold most mornings.

Cold fried eggs stuck to a tray are never appealing.

Hot food was cold if you were late down not much left everything cleared away by 10am.

At night I waked up and it was so cold in the room.

However, the bacon and fried eggs were cold and slimey.

Nice kids slide and water play area the pool is quite deep for little kids unfortunately so lucky they had fun with slide

Pool area is shaded completely by 4.30pm plenty of sun beds (not the most comfortable and stacked up by the side of the pool)

The pool area was in excellent condition.

The pool area was great and never overcrowded even first thing or in the afternoon.

Pool is cleaned every morning and area around the pool and kids slides etc kept really clean and tidy and isn’t too slippy even under little wet feet.

Good clean pool area and helpful staff at poolside bar always serving with a smile.

The sun goes away at 1pm, just a slither in between the two blocks hits the pool area, so unless you want to change the sunbed location and fight the other patrons (pensioners) forget any relaxing in the sun.

Pool was great and we spent most of our days on it to cool off of the kids playing in the Kiddie pool area and slide and again another great memeber if staff with the pool lifeguard she was good  with the kids and keeping everything safe and sanitised  around the pool .

The Hotel has a brilliant outlook over the Mediterranean sea, every room has a sea view and overlooks the pool area.

Nice pool area, and there is a new splash park for the smaller ones.

Would recommend if you want a relaxing time we found the pool area was very clean loads of beds and by the pool bar loads of tables and chairs.

They have also improved the kids play area around the pool, with the water slide proving to be a great addition.

Evening entertainment poor, live music twice weekly OK, quizzes  were spoilt by poor sound system and unable to hear /
understand questions.

FOOD - absolutely horrendous.

By checking into our room we noticed the poor general state of the room.

Sloppy porridge, brocoli and poor quality of a selection.

The entertainment was pretty poor, mainly just young "animation" people playing music and hoping guests would get up and dance, which they didn't really do.

The food at both breakfast and Dinner was quite poor with a very limited selection.Only hotel have ever been in where there were no boiled eggs at breakfast!

however was TUI, we were amazed how poor the service was on the break.

My few poor words of Spanish came in handy from time to time,

The in room safes has to be rented and are not complimentary and is in poor condition.

Whilst I was there it was mainly Spanish tourists and they definitely got a better service from staff despite being very noisy and leaving mess behind whenever they left be it the pool, restaurant or terrace area.

The pool area became very packed and noisy.

The only thing we were dissatisfied with was the behavior of the hotel reception when they did not want to call an ambulance for our little daughter (suddenly blocked spine, she was lying on the bed and every little movement hurt her, she was crying).

The pool area is always very noisy throughout the day.

The rooms are not very well sound proofed so we had someone banging on our wall one night when we had the TV on and you hear every chair move or loo flush.

Walls were thin and you could hear your neighbours.

Lots of evening activities which perhaps were a little noisy if you wanted a quiet drink.

The walls are way to thin, you hear your neighbours too much.

When we arrived, our first impression of the hotel was it was tired, brown wooden doors and frames, old floor tiles and very noisy.

but when you have kids banging on your door over and over and running off it gets a bit annoying.

We were on the 8th floor, and one downfall was that we could hear the water running clearly in the room above and chairs scraping/doors slamming as the walls are thin.

The whole trip was horrendous from start to finish, I’ll be honest and wasn’t just due to the hotel, never again in torreveijca!!

The only downside is that the walls are quite thin so can hear easily from the rooms either side and above.

Thin walls between the rooms so you can hear the neighbor talk.

I opted for a room on the fifth floor in case it became noisy on the lower levels.

You have to get there early doors tho as the Spanish who eat later in evening get very noisy indeed so when the restaurant is full you can’t here yourself think .

but came back and saw the last bit of entertainment which was varied, some better than others.

The evening entertainment went on outside from 10pm until midnight every night.
