The bar and breakfast staff in particular were very welcoming.

I stayed there for 3 days at a wedding in june, and the hotel did that very well,  this is a fine 5 star hotel, the things standing out is how good  and polite the staff was, and the breakfast was very good,

The breakfast buffet was monotonous and almost without any fresh vegetables.

however, the evening menu served in the buffet restaurant fell well short of even being acceptable.

And what is the buffet in the hotel - exactly like breakfast.

The rooms are superb, the staff very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

We played La Finca 3 courses all include in the price, with free transfers from the hotel to the other to course.

Considering that there aren't any tea making facilities in the rooms, it was very disappointing to find that complimentary water was only provided on the first night.

One small let down there are no Tea/Coffee making facilities available in the rooms, if you like a lie in and miss breakfast as i did daily a Coffee when you wake up is a must!

2, No tea/coffee station in any of the rooms, Come on la Finca - I have stayed at many 5* hotels and I have never come across a room without Tea or Coffee in the room.

but again only picnic, but he did offer to put out some coffee and tea for us, but can you believe they served this in thin plastic water cups!

but having stayed in similar rated places I would say 4 star, with a few tweaks could be 5 star .The little things make the difference, the rooms although clean and comfy had no tea making facilities, no iron, 1 bottle of complimentary water in 4 days and we were left just 1 bath towel on occasion.

There are no tea/ coffee facilities in the rooms, the door to the balcony cannot be shut from the outside so i would imagine all the mosquitoes can get in during the summer if you want to sit out there.

but no Tea or Coffee making, Alarmingly there is no way of locking door from inside, so if you are undressed you need to move pretty quickly if the maid enters.

We had also cancelled one round of prebooked golf according to the hotel's terms 2 days prior to booked tea time and returned the golf voucher to the reception.

Only one thing I did miss in the room was a tea making facility and iron

The only thing I really needed was a kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

but so very full no room for pudding or coffee.

One astonishing point is that in this "five stars" hotel you won't get the possibilty to make yourself a tea or coffee in rooms.

2 disappointments - 
1 - no coffee or tea making facilities in room.

My sister in law, who had already been at the hotel for a few days, went down the cafeteria only to be told no they would not make coffee.

However, the staff should provide tea & coffee facilities in the room and a mosquito killing facility.

We were lucky to get a 1st floor room overlooking the pool, (2212) There are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms so be prepared to pay extra delivery charge for the pleasure.

Sad not to have tea/coffee making facilities in the bedrooms and coffee in the buffet breakfast room was a bit of a problem at the busy breakfast

We then asked the staff at the bar who also couldn't help where the wedding was.

On Sunday it was raining heavily and I asked the hotel to call the Marquesa Golf club for them to issue a rain check.

At 13:23 on Saturday 5th, I called back and asked to re-arrange my tee time due to the thunderstorms, and I was given a revised tee time of 15:00 on Sunday 7th April - today, and I again checked that the price was still the same.

The next day I asked another male receptionist,

I then asked if during the course of the day someone could get me a throat spray from a pharmacy and again received the same instant ‘NO’
They showed not the slightest interest in my predicament whatsoever.

When I complained to the receptionist about the gym debacle, particularly no lighter weights being available, he said I should have asked him for them - grrrr!

Once again we complained about the water and we were asked if we could wait for about an hour to get warm water!

We separately asked for a bedroom to have a door.

However, it really, really bothers me when I am served items like bread, or appetisers without being asked, and then being charged (a lot) for them when the bill arrives.

This was not the case they asked if I wanted to arrange flowers and wine obviously with a charge.

although we weren't asked if we had an allergies; something we would have expected.

I asked the manager to come to my room to discuss these issues as I was very disappointed he apologised and was going to work out some compensation as this wasn't the service he would expect us to recieve.

I asked for a fan to point at my son, not possible.

I booked this via phone a couple of weeks before and asked if the treatment offered in the deal could be changed slightly, (my friend preferred a facial instead of the massage offered) this was no problem.

When asked we were told that they wouldn't open it except on a weekend and we couldn't see the manager till next Monday.

above and that they have just kept my goods for them to deliver it to me on my request.

but there was even an unwillingness to accomodate our request for a hair dryer.

Asked to use indoor pool and was informed I had to pay 18 euros -90 mins unheard of in any other hotel !!

GUESS WHAT we were asked to pay for them??????

I noticed queues waiting at the coffee machine and at various areas of the buffet bar.

Can't fault this place, lovely clean rooms, superb staff, gorgeous pool area, breakfast is excellent very big choice, immaculate gradens we will definitely be back loved our week here, reccomend the little don carlos bar and 222 itallian next door great food and drinks at both, 5 stars all the way.

The pool area is kept very clean and the pool itself has a nice big shallow area for non swimmers which for me was very good 
The beer in the bar is served in cold glasses, which again for me was perfect, it also has a fab beer garden, breakfast was a bit of a laugh, self service everything,

), and the hotel breakfast, which is offered here buffet style, is good and rich.

We had the opportunity to have massages and it was fantastic

We had dinner in the restaurant and it was delicious.

We had booked bed & breakfast and evening meal as this suited us whilst we were house hunting in the region.

Breakfast - Buffet style which I prefer anyway

I found all the food served was great really big portions and reasonably priced, only had breakfast once and that was good too.

We had booked half board and were very impressed with the quality and variety of the dinners and in our opinion there was a good selection for breakfast.

We were room only and tried the breakfast buffet and were glad as we felt it quite overpriced.

the breakfast is good and the staff at breakfast are jolly.

Bountiful breakfast provided you make a side order of bacon and eggs.

Therefore I give the breakfast 0 out of 10.

but the same menu nothing changed and the food was not that good at Breakfast.

but fairly basic, staff were great especially in the bar area where they served breakfast and evening meals, along with drinks.

One of the coffee machines was out of service the following day and was still out of service for the remainder of the week.

but you can not change them at any time throughout your stay 😡 disgusting 

It’s classed as a 4 star hotel with 4 star prices but there was no

Sheets don’t even fit the bed just laid on the top of bed

We had food in the hotel bar a couple of times and on one occasion my wife’s Salad came ten minutes before my food and when I questioned the waiter he said he was stressed because the coffee machine was broken!

How one was supposed to have a coffee is anyones guess?

The room stated on the website tea and coffe facilities hence they said no milk or spoon or coffee just a cup a tea bag each and a kettle big deal what could you do with that so you had to go to the bar to ask or suffer or buy something at a shop.

Overpriced, overrated, tired rooms in need of refurbishment, breakfast rationed dry bread and croissant with a meagre amount of thin cheese and ham, coffee or tea €19.90, the only pleasant experience was the young waiter in the dining room,

but when going to get a drink there were two mugs with just sugar and a file of coffee nothing else- no milk !

There was a kettle and two mugs with one sugar and I think a tea sachet in it along with a useless plastic stirrer.

On arrival there were 2 tea bags and a card saying ask for more if needed.

The next day the breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices, we were told we could remain around the pool until we were ready to leave and then and when we did we were home with the kettle on and a nice cup of coffee within 20 minutes, no traffic jams . .

If you wanted coffee/milk/other tea, you had to ask reception for it.

No coffee/tea facilities in the room, which apparently is the norm in Spain.

Tea and coffee facilities consisted of two tea bags, no milk or sugar.

Hotel La Laguna Spa & Golf

Very nice hotel with very good food,breakfast ,lunch and diner was much to choose .The very friendly staff every were in the hotel.

Paid for bed and breakfast and was happy with the selection cost.

We had breakfast every day, which was buffet style and plentiful with a great variety.

Breakfast was ok, lots of fruit and yoghurt as well as pastries and then a few bits which changed every day.

The food was plentiful and was different everyday.

Poolside bar served ice creams some were included in the all inclusive and they also served hotdogs, toasties and crisps, breakfast lunch and dinner were all in buffet restaurant.

The food was OK, sometimes it was luke warm and the bacon was always undercooked.

We had booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast was reasonable with plenty of choice.

The buffet food was good, clean hotel with outside pool and child play area with water slide.

but I was pleasantly surprise when I ate in the restaurant in the evening, the price of an evening meal was very good (€15) and the buffet style menu was always excellent with a lot of choice.

No complaints except if you have prepaid for IE Bed & Breakfast

Good Points, Lovely hotel with great views, clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast spread, decent priced bar and well placed for trips out to lovely seaside restaurants.

I wished that there was some fresh vegetables or salads available at breakfast meal.

there was a lot of entertainment for kids which was indeed fun to see and hotel staff were friendly and helpful,  Avery good selection for breakfast.

The food was ok.  Breakfast was like marketday,

We went breakfast incl and happy enough with that.

Pleasant staff, easy check-in and check-out, good breakfast, comfortable room, not far away from sea cost, reasonable price, own free parking outside.

Breakfast in the morning was good with wide selection of fruit, meats cheese, cereal and hot food.

The bain Marie's didn't seem to have hot water under them and when they brought new food out, it just came out on a trolley with loads of other dishes so by the time it has been to all 3 stations, it's cold.

Selection was limited and all the food was cold.

The food in the hotel was horrendous as it was limited because the time of the year and it was freezing cold had to heat in the microwave.

but the pool a little cold at this time of year.

however quite cold as the heater/Aircon unit only blew ambient December air.

but naturally water cold in October, plenty of beds, tested frequently, washed down each morning.

The buffet breakfasts were either cold fried and frazzled eggs or uneatable Spanish sausage.

The annex faces north and at this time of year at least, is in the dark and cold.

Lukewarm, and at times cold, poor quality all round..

Fried eggs and other " hot" dishes from self serve buffet were cold. .

Bacon sausage egg beans etc was cold most mornings.

Cold fried eggs stuck to a tray are never appealing.

Hot food was cold if you were late down not much left everything cleared away by 10am.

At night I waked up and it was so cold in the room.

However, the bacon and fried eggs were cold and slimey.

Evening entertainment poor, live music twice weekly OK, quizzes  were spoilt by poor sound system and unable to hear /
understand questions.

BOOKING EXPERIENCE - very unhelpful, rude & poor communication by hotel
FOOD - absolutely horrendous.

By checking into our room we noticed the poor general state of the room.

Sloppy porridge, brocoli and poor quality of a selection.

The entertainment was pretty poor, mainly just young "animation" people playing music and hoping guests would get up and dance, which they didn't really do.

The food at both breakfast and Dinner was quite poor with a very limited selection.Only hotel have ever been in where there were no boiled eggs at breakfast!

however was TUI, we were amazed how poor the service was on the break.

My few poor words of Spanish came in handy from time to time,

The in room safes has to be rented and are not complimentary and is in poor condition.

Whilst I was there it was mainly Spanish tourists and they definitely got a better service from staff despite being very noisy and leaving mess behind whenever they left be it the pool, restaurant or terrace area.

The pool area became very packed and noisy.

The only thing we were dissatisfied with was the behavior of the hotel reception when they did not want to call an ambulance for our little daughter (suddenly blocked spine, she was lying on the bed and every little movement hurt her, she was crying).

The pool area is always very noisy throughout the day.

The rooms are not very well sound proofed so we had someone banging on our wall one night when we had the TV on and you hear every chair move or loo flush.

Walls were thin and you could hear your neighbours.

Lots of evening activities which perhaps were a little noisy if you wanted a quiet drink.

When we arrived, our first impression of the hotel was it was tired, brown wooden doors and frames, old floor tiles and very noisy.

but when you have kids banging on your door over and over and running off it gets a bit annoying.

We were on the 8th floor, and one downfall was that we could hear the water running clearly in the room above and chairs scraping/doors slamming as the walls are thin.

The whole trip was horrendous from start to finish, I’ll be honest and wasn’t just due to the hotel, never again in torreveijca!!

The only downside is that the walls are quite thin so can hear easily from the rooms either side and above.

Thin walls between the rooms so you can hear the neighbor talk.

I opted for a room on the fifth floor in case it became noisy on the lower levels.

You have to get there early doors tho as the Spanish who eat later in evening get very noisy indeed so when the restaurant is full you can’t here yourself think .

Another thing we didn't like was that we had to walk through a cloud of smoke every time we entered and exited the hotel as the smoking point is right there.

These patrons were allowed to smoke both at the pool and areas surrounding the pool while guests that were there previously were not allowed double standards to me.

Although not hugely important, no smoking or vaping is allowed anywhere in the outside facilities.

Worst hotel ever stayed in wouldnt let my dog stay here and the food wouldn't even give that too my dog paid for 3 nights as pictures on website looked ok we was there for an hour as depressed us that much had to get out of the smelly awfull place

In a corner we saw a quite huge spot oh black mould, a fungus that can provoce bad allergic reactions.

The breakfast was DISGUSTING - Do NOT stay here !

There was even an unbranded yogurt type stuff which was disgusting.

In room B-123 was awful smell of urine from the toilet and the seat on the toilet was YELLOW!

even worse, the cottons were falling off the towels, and also strong smell of bleach

The room smelled like it had not been opened for several years, and it was hot and sticky..The furniture was old and curtains and AC was beond outdated.

I’m bed and breakfast and there’s a good lunch at the beach bar or you can get basics from the local supermarket.

but there wasn’t really anything 👍🏻 Outside pool with a kids pool ..outside bar.. all you can eat buffets.

The food was generally good with plenty of choices for breakfast and dinner (if you are half board you also have the option of having either the lunch meal or the evening meal) with even my fussy eating daughter finding enough to eat and trying new things as well.

We had breakfast 830-11, lunch slot 130-215, and dinner 830-915.

I say mainly because as an example or two they cooked fresh omelettes most mornings

Having said that the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the food is good in both quality and quantity with the exception of the fried egg yolks at breakfast which would make good ping pong balls.

Restaurant is extremely busy on the weekends leading up to Halloween.

but does get busy big hotel indoor pool always plenty of sunbeds childs pool ,parking ,will need a car if you want to explore  but there is a bus into town or you could walk takes about twenty minutes .Will be returning.

although not huge and not overly busy until early evening.

The hotel is very large with over 500 rooms and is very busy and noisy and appears to be popular with Spanish people .

We got in on a Friday and apparently weekends are busy because the Spanish people generally book weekends away well I’m the buffet people were like flies to poo standing waiting and pushing for food.

The hotel desk was too busy booking in new guests to answer our calls.

This meant that meal times very busy, be aware of the chocolate fountain!

There were 5 lifts and we only found them busy after breakfast and after lunch where many of the Spanish guests went for a siesta, leaving the pool area quite empty.

but for anyone with children expecting them to be fully cognisant of what is going on, be aware of this;

- The resort is very busy - VERY busy - with families, tending towards either Spanish, the odd German and English family and then Eastern European.

A private beach with privacy and not excessively busy.

I wouldn't stay there because I dont like big busy hotels

Id hate to go there in the height of summer due to how busy I can see it getting and the queing we did for lifts and dinner halls would be a nightmare then.

although a lot of people reserve them with their towels in the morning, it gets busy around 10-1 and then quietens down which is usually the time to get the best sun beds.

The buffet wasn't great, mainly burgers and chips in an exceptionally busy restaurant which seats nearly 900 people, the hours of dining are allocated to whichever floor you are on, our dinner time was from 21.45!

Its a family hotel and very busy, so meal times are a noisy affair, pool is noisy, so its not suited for people who want a quite break.
