They could hardly speak English and I think this hotel is not worth for the amount they charge.

We stayed in an Executive room which is charged for Rs 5000 - Though room is big ambiance is not good, electrical connections are outdated, furnishing is not sufficient, like it has only 2 regular chairs, no sofas, no comfy chairs.

After a few minutes of haggling, they let us check in anyway without a credit card.

GRT Chennai charges 5500 + tax and arpanaa charges 6000 + tax crazy.

Autos charge Rs 100 to Sri Ramanasramam one way..

We stayed with group of our peoples.But personally feel its over charged.

He was not ready to accept that the AC was not working and charged us a lot.

Upon check-out, we were billed for in-room dining of 4 cups of tea and the room num stated on the bill was one of our room(double occupancy).

The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable to the point that we wished we could have stayed longer.

The rooms are pretty big, that's a plus point.

I make it a point to stay and eat only at this facility when I visit or pass through Tiruvannamalai.

in the middle of the night we were woken by loud noises outside our bedroom.

We had book d a superior room and night I couldn't sleep because of the fantastic sound Split AC was producing throughout the night.

We had a junior suite which, because of the sitting area, was shielded from any corridor noise.

Hot water was limited and the AC was a bit noisy.

but only that the noise from the workshop.

Quite noisy and the rooms floor was dusty too.

The hotel is located next to a tractor repair facility, so can be noisy during the day.

It is a little noisy as just off the main road.

We could not sleep the night because of the pump noise.

Location is a bit on periphery of town, at a busy (noisy) road, on the other side of which garbage was being burnt, the fumes and smells permeating the room.

The shower head was a bit sad due to blocked jets,

It's the constant choice of staying of mine in Thiruvanamalai.

And there was constant knocking on our room door throughout the night.

Divine ambience, very clean room, homely vegetarian food, friendly staff, excellent customer service made the visit very memorable!

The Hotel is located at a nice place with good parking facilities, the front desk staff were very co operative and nice, the room was clean , the linens were clean, bathroom was clean.

Some of the rooms have good view towards Arunachaleshwara hills .

The view of the holy mountain from the rooms and the menu at the restaurant are incomparable.

The view of the hill is unprepossessing given that it is vignetted by a landscape of shoddy flat rooftops.

My Family had the privilege to stay in Hotel Arpanaa which granted us the most spectacular view of Arunachala.

the service was top, the staff is very helpful, the view from our rooms was magnificent!

The view was breathtaking,  especially before sunrise in the morning where we sat in the balcony tor experience the view and a cool breath of fresh air.

It was so beautiful, and the view early in the morning during sunrise is just so wonderful.

Hotel also very near (few meters) to main entrance of the temple.

The hotel is situated right outside one of the temple gopurams (Amman gopuram entrance).

Location wise, very near(walking distance) to the Temple entrance.

The hotel is located just 5 minutes walk to North Gopuram Entrance of Tiruvannamalai temple.

You can just leave your footwear in the  lounge and walk across to the north entrance.

The hotel is very close to Temple, just about 50 Meters and very convenient to have darshan of Arunachaleswar.

you can keep your vehicle in parking and go to temple by walk (its just 50 meters away).

It is just a few meters away from the temple (North Gopuram) and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Room was neat and tidy well maintained and was added with coffee maker and fridge.

After 40 hours of international travelling during which my suitcase had got lost I arrived in Tiruvannamalai at Sunshine Guest House and could not believe my luck.

A couple of negatives; the dresser was rather small for 2-people traveling to be able to unpack our suitcases.

You can also bring your own food and make it yourself in their kitchen, in which case some little donation would be appropriate.

One guy talked very arrogantly without any ethics for the customers.

I loved the rooftop deck and it would be great if they offered movies at night and yoga classes during the day.

Spacy, clean rooms and had nice morning views of sunrise and hills  from veranda.

Satsang hall had the best views of Arunachala and great energy, the rooms are clean and tidy and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

The room was clean, and have small things that I did not have in other guest houses in India: electric kettle, water filter, small generator so if there are short electrical power interruptions, you do not feel them.

You will find in this guesthouse everything a traveler looks for : a great welcome, attentive personnel, spacious and clean rooms with comfortable bed, a coach, AC, drinking water and a well-equipped bathroom.

All rooms have a clean attached toilet/hot-shower, power backup and a water purifier amongst other amenities.

Here was a beautiful green, quiet place, a lovely clean room with its own water filter, safe, mosquito netting on the windows, a comfy mattress, tasteful decor and spectacular view of Arunachala and wonderful staff.

Single travellers could feel completely safe and relaxed here and the rooms were clean, spacious and tastefully decorated with touches like, filtered water and air conditioning very much appreciated.

But no complaints as Dr. Satyan is very nice and helpful and we had  a nice stay and kucky to have view of Arunagiri swamy every day

I absolutely love the fact that it’s a bit removed from the noise of the city and surrounded by farm land

I went up to the yoga hall and did some stretches to remove the knots from the long drive.

but I thought the bathroom could have done with a bit of a scrub  (the area has hard water which leaves impossible to remove stains but there was a bit of mildew on the tiles which would come off).

but got ripped off in the process being charged the price of a mid-high end hotel without breakfast and some nice smelly bedding to top it off.

But there is only so much humbling one can take, by the time my turn came for the viewing sweat was pouring from my scalp, i barely got hold of the holy ash and smeared it on my forehead.

The Sunshine Guest House is a beautiful and quit place 1,9 km from Ramana Ashram (according to google maps), where you can retreat from indian chaos, smell and noise.

However, my only real complaint about the place is that there are always dirty ashtrays on the front steps, because some of the staff members smoke and that's where they do it. I do wish they would at least empty and wash the ashtrays a few times a day (hint, hint.)

If you're cigarette smoke sensitive - fyi - the whole relaxing lounge area is openly a smoking zone.

but otherwise somewhat dank cinder block room--but that was not to be found at Sunshine Guest House.

They helped us with the temple darshan and also guided us on the walk around the massive mountain.

She gave me the city route map and helped me to start the Girivalam from which temple.

He is a very entertaining and informative tour guide, who brought special meaning to the places we visited.

There is a beautiful huge lake right behind the guest house where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset every day amid the lush green farming field.

The downstairs garden area is shaded by trees, and there's an awesome view of Arunachala from the roof.

Shanti, clean, wonderful view of Arunachala and the lake, shrine, yoga hall, nature, full equipped shared kitchen.

The best part is there a clear view of Arunachala and it’s close to the Ramana Ashram.

The guest house is situated in a very serene location away from the pollution and noise and overlooking the Arunachala Hill.

One can sit and have a view of the surrounding landscape.

It is nice environment, room is spacious and well decorated, with each room a rocking chair, view of the mountain.

It is a beautiful setting, surrounded with greenery and has views of the mountain in some rooms and from the upper level yoga and satsang room; it felt like a sanctuary to me, where I could easily practice yoga, meditation and listen to the talks that were regularly happening.

Also the view to Arunachala is breathtaking.

The place is decorated with refined taste ,the garden is  green and lush ,each room as an a/c and a fan .it is quiet and peaceful with excellent view of Arunachala especially from the second floor and roof top hall.there are bikes or scooters available to use by the guest which makes it very easy to move about without the hassle of having to rent elsewhere.the owner Satya is a very friendly generous and very giving individual .embodying the true heart of mother India.he also runs a orphanage for girls which is supported by the income from the guest house .by staying there you will be also supporting the orphanage .have a wonderful and a spiritually enriching experience .

It has a beautiful view of Arunachala and we couldn't have asked for a better place.

but still close to the city.. and has the most beautiful Arunachala view from the rooftop meditation hall. enjoy!!

Right from Mr. Rajasekaran, the manager each of the staff that we came across, whether it was one of  the waiters or even the gardener was truly courteous and ever ready to help us with a smile.The activites like pottery and parrot astrology (these are not chargeable) makes this a really unique place to stay in.

The resort offers several activities like yoga sessions, pottery, parrot astrology, mehendi, Bullock cart rides and milking a cow etc.

The resort provide some free activities and free tea.

For example, there was a terrific function (food, drinks etc) to observe the lighting of the lamp - we discovered this by only accident.

The Only thing that could have been improved is the lighting in the room, it could have been more brighter.

However, the place was too dark, not enough light in the room, the Internet was limited to 2 devices only and there were no water bottles in the room.

The only suggestion I had was to improve the quality of lighting.

Every dish we ordered were just ok and nothing to write back.

In fact when we came back from Girivalam at 11 PM we ordered some food and it  was well made and served to the room in time.

However, the food we ordered via room service scored top marks from us.

If you are part of MAP plan then you have to order from the select list of items.

Also when ordered a-la-cart it was far from being any value for money and also not upto the mark - they need to improve on this aspect.

The pool area was really nice, it was nice to retreat to the pool after a morning  of climbing Mt Arunachala and walking through the noisy city.

I'm from Europe and I've been coming to Tiru every year for 4 weeks and I like to stay in Sparsa every time because of the serenity and beauty this place has to offer.

A great place to stay in tiruvannamalai , great service by a friendly staff, value for money buffet meals, clean and peaceful surroundings.

The hotel is really beautiful and peaceful place to stay.
