He personally led us into the suite and when he opened the door, what we are seeing is so amazing, coz hotel team already set up everything for my son birthday decorations, we can see flickering Chinese Character mean Happy Birthday on the table and also can see the shining stars and balloons near the curtain as the background!

I chose this restaurant based on other reviews about surprise birthday decor and good service.

I got to know with Julio for a period of time, He is very excellent management who always regards guests requirement as the top priority and For VIP guests, Mr.Julio always met personally and makes all the guests feel the nice ambience here.

I really enjoyed the speedy check-in, delicious food and well designed menu at Tian Tai Xuan in the evening, breakfast with freshly squeezed juices of your choice and numerous choices of food, and the exquisite lunch at Zest.

Every spot in the hotel is planned and decorated to enhance the experience of beauty.

A big Christmas tree putting at the lobby, I could get the Christmas atmosphere before I steped in it.

However, we received a phone call around 10 pm from the same person who helped us check-in and told us we had to change room since this one was booked by another reservation tomorrow.

The bedroom curtain wasn't working as expected, need to call housekeeping & the engineering department several times to get that fix it.

They do not help to call for taxis and they will just direct you where to walk.

I still cannot understand how can they not call taxi for us!

On the 4th day of our stay, the coffee capsules were not replenished and the coffee maker was not cleaned, we have to call to have the coffee capsules.

more than that, we didn't expect that they can remember our name, and call our name each time when they see us.

At the spa, a staff member had a loud phone conversation, apparently with a customer who was cancelling a booking at the last minute.

We also went to the St. Regis while we were in Tianjin and definitely felt the Ritz had a better, more refined feel.

The only thing popped up on TripAdvisor is Zest at the Ritz, that's when I realized staying at this hotel might be the way to go.

However dining room service was so poor, server didn’t introduce each dish, just put the dish on the table, we ran out tea, have to go outside room to find the server to add hot water, no server in the room, we need anything have to wait and wait and go outside to find the server, and we booked and paid for is private dinning room, are they supposed to have a dedicated server!

When he found I was sweating, he kindly and initiatively opened a bottle of mineral water for me.

One of the bath towel had a smell of seafood or sea water.

Stay in the first night: the bathroom to leak, water diffuse room; stay the next night: the hotel outdoor activities, the sound is too large, in the room can not chat and watch TV; stay the third day early: because people need breakfast waiting.

We tried out all the little tubes of shampoo and body wash (Asprey Purple Water's thyme scent is lush), then dressed for dinner.

For examples, there is only 1 small soap,  1 shower cap, and 2 small bottles of water for a room with double occupancy  daily (we have to call service center to request for additional bottles of complimentary water on a daily basis).

It's a shame I couldn't tempt my wife down there, as she doesn't like swimming much - in this pool, she could touch the bottom and still have her head above the water (and save my neck in the bargain from being clung to!).

The rooms are nice and modern , if a little dark and as is typically Chinese the Aircon isn't very good.

The heaters were off on most of the displays and food was left cold  and trays were empty for 20 30 minutes each time.

but the heating was on full blast, and there was no way to cool it down.

Not possible to controle the aircon in this so called 5 star Hotel !!

Like the previous reviewer our main issue was with the air conditioning system.

The reason this is important is because the hotel had turned off air conditioning.

While you can lower the temp, you won't get lower than 23.5.  you can only truly control the fan speed, you can hear it change.

Bearing in mind the temperature outside was just above freezing it was all a touch bizarre.

My aircon also did not work and I heard many other guests complaining about this.

We experienced two problems during our stay, first it was the temperature of the room: it was really hot, and even when they brought an movie AC unit it still was hot.

The room did not have air conditioning already on.

A/C was locked so that you could not cool down below a certain temperature.

butler meant that I can not change it, as the aircon switch off when I am out and then it is too low engineering to cool down.

They set the thermostat to 8 degrees and said that the temp would be better.

Apparently, the hotel engineers are still working on the temperature controls and all they could do was provide a small portable A/C unit, which lowered the temperature a mere 1ºC to 25ºC which is still hot thus making it very unpleasant to sleep or hang around the room.

Our overall experience was good, i was just upset by some details such as the heater.

but they need to fix the air conditioning temperature, and lookm forward to being able to use the pool and spa.

It’s in central location and easy access to anywhere.

Have the best location, near CBD, Near shopping district, near the Italian area.

Location is perfect for strolling and jogging along the river.

I wouldn't pay to stay here.. the good part of the hotel is the location and the wonderful view.

the location is right in the center..the price is rather moderate.

The Hotel is located right on the river so it’s easy to take a walk along the banks on either side which gives great views of downtown buildings and bridges.

The menu is like any menu from a generic western restaurant.

Similar is reception at the restaurant from Tina and her colleagues.

The shopping mall across the street has great restaurant choices and the main streets are accessible by foot.

The breakfast at Promenade restaurant is great and service is excellent.

There is a nightly happy hour starting at 18:00 which includes beer, wine, and a nice selection of fruits and appetizers.

For eggs, noodle soups and Chinese pancakes there's live cooking.

Near to a mall with plenty of restaurant choice and located right next to haihe which is very nice during evening.

The breakfast fruits was very fresh and testy, breads,sausages all the food were high quality, and all the staff was very energetic with smiley face.

They always helped me out and even arranged my room exactly the way I want it to be !

Rooms are clean, we had a room overlooking the river.

Every single sign inside the hotel points to a business Centre and meeting room on level 3.

the rooms are upscale and St. Regis style..very modern and posh.

She introduced the room and pointed my attention to things I would have otherwise missed.

The room didn’t meet my St-Regis expectations; old decoration, cold ambiance, obsolete furniture.

The room – mine had a river view – was large , modern and very well equipped.

The glorious room we were in had a beautiful view of Tianjin with floor to ceiling windows.

This is a poem reflecting some of the things I did during my 1 night stay at The Regis Tianjin on 11/24 and the Thanksgiving feast we had in the grand ball room on the 18th floor that night.

The rooms are very spacious, with large window areas offering great views from your room.

The service team that leaded by Burak did an amazing job, the whole setup of the room layout, food area, wine tasting area, private bar, mini stage for people to play some music.

Very good hotel nice room, very nice reception and bar .

The rooms are all very spacious and more like suites than "normal" rooms.

This got to be the best St Regis in China in terms of services and value for money !!

People smoke everywhere you can smell cigarette smoke in hallways.

When I entered the washroom, I can smell lily, fresh flowers.

Upon getting into our first room, I noticed a strong smell of cigarette smoking and told the front desk.

The change in this river from rather dirty and smelling in the hot weather, to the beautiful clean river it is now, with walks, and parks most of the way down the north side from the Wheel to the Astor hotel, is dramatic. We recommend paying a bit more to stay in a room with a riverside view, as you also get a

Bathroomwalls have not seen a wipping Cloth since month, bathroom was smelling like a fishpond.

Not smokey and worn like most hotels would be after 2 yrs.

There was a strong sewage smell from the toilet area,

Shower area also smelled bad, no question of that.

but there would still be a faint whiff of the odour occasionally.

Although this meant that the hotel was spotless, it still did smell of construction and chemicals.

Great view over the river , amazing Butler team, and excellent F&B services.

Thanks to Mr Mark and his team provided such a good service.

After asking the front desk, they openly admitted there is no more business Centre in the hotel. Unbelievable!!!!!!
