Our room was huge, clean, and comfortable.

The rooms are sparkling clean and the whole place is gorgeous.

The hotel is absolutely spotless, so well deserved congratulations goes to the excellent housekeeping staff.

Posada del Virrey is perfectly located in the Tequisquiapan's historic center, a fact made especially impressive given that they have free secure parking as well as a beautiful outdoor pool.

Your experience totally depends on your room location, because some of the rooms are very undesirable.

But the location is perfectly close to the main square.

but it has a great location, you can walk everywhere from there, couple blocks away from downtown.

Still, no regrets, wonderful attention and fantastic location.

This hotel is located on a quiet side street only blocks from the center of town.

Great price, great location, close to restaurants, bars, coffee shops.

Staff is very helpful and location right next to church and the Freixenet Restaurant are just unbeatable.

but it is NOT only because of the ringing bells from the Cathedral.

Just be aware - the church is not far, bells ringing at night.

Did get the wake up call from the church steeple starting at 6am :(  Still, worth a stay.

The only negatives we found about this hotel are that breakfast is not served until 9 AM (although they will prepare something earlier, on request), and it is almost right below the church's bell tower, which starts ringing at 6 AM.

The hotel has nice inside decorations, garden and pool.

It has private parking, a very nice garden and pool area with swings, garden tables and chairs to lay down.

A courtyard full of flowers looking to the church and a large pool (too cool to try).

And clean .. U can actually smell the cleanest
- very very close to the historical center, just one block walking distance , wonderful place by the way
- Tours are offered or vinedos are 20mjn away in car
- there is a very nice pool

Cons
- I would recommend no more than 2days , because u will quickly walk around tequis and go to the vinedos.

The breakfast room had excellent views of the garden area and the breakfast buffet was plentiful with lots of Mexican traditional foods as well as made-to-order items like eggs.

I only ate breakfast at the hotel and it was excellent.

Very good continental breakfast included and reasonably priced menu items available.

Free continental breakfast with the option of ordering more (paid for) items off the menu.

There's also meeting rooms with TV and sofas that you can use.

The rooms are big, nice furniture, great use of old building.

but nice, well illuminated, very clean and well equiped with TV, WiFi and a safebox.

The hotel is very clean and looks like a modern hacienda, great pool and garden area and a safe place to park the car.

Our upstairs king room was quiet, clean and had a comfortable bed.

The staff were friendly enough, the pool did not look clean enough for me to want to take a dip.

but most guests are just couples because other hotels have more children activities.

Location puts this Hotel on top of every other property in town.

In a beautiful town named Tequisquiapan, State of Queretaro, Hotel Boutique La Granja is really a standout Hotel, located only a couple of minutes walking near the main Plaza.

I will say that they can bring you drinks to the pool and jacuzzi, and they were reasonably priced (90 pesos for a mojito and they were STRONG and authentic),

The hotel has nice gardens and fountains, a large terrace, open corridors filled with flower pots and a medium sized pool and jacuzzi, and a living room with piano.

Heated pool the kids enjoyed (there's a shallow area).

We stayed in the Laurel room, second floor  - with nice view overlooking the pool area.

The pool was the perfect temperature, and the jacuzzi was heated for us every night.

The gardens are very well kept and the pool is great.

They kept promising the jacuzzi would be operational,

As you walk through the property, you end up at a bigger patio and garden with a swimming pool, an outdoor jacuzzy and the restaurant.

but we didn't try the food from the restaurant.

The restaurant is excellent, we had breakfast there twice and both food and service were very good.

The restaurant is really good, and they do offer Sunday Brunch.

The food is just superb and all is fresh and homemade!!!

I will say, the second I left the room, it was cleaned.

We got a double room (tabachines) and it was spacious.

The rooms are incredible spacious and with all the commodities!! !

The room was great with all the amenities of a first class hotel, we also had great internet connection.

The room and bathroom are large, clean, and modern.

We stayed here in early April and the room was very hot, the room does not have A/C

Each guest room guests a free 1 hour jacuzzi.

Well-located, only 5-7 minute walk from the main plaza in town.

· It's a 12 minute walk down Colegio Militar (Street) to Tequisquiapan Plaza with its wonderful cobblestone shopping, vendors, church, history, restaurants, and traditional hotels.

I ate at their restaurant and the staff again very nice and I had one of the best meals I have had at a hotel.

Good food in the affiliated restaurant, especially for breakfast!

Very good restaurant on site, with a wide assortment of menu items from salad to pizza to steaks.

Within walking distance you can see the church which lights up the center of the city and through the winding walkways you can find excellent restaurants to choose a great meal and laugh with friends.

My room was large and had coffee making equipment.

Rooms are simple, yet clean and Bedding comfortable.

In one case, they had our keys marked with an incorrect room number.

· I don't think there are any rooms with street noise 'cuz the hotel is well "in" from the street.

You can expect clean and dependable service and close to main central area.

The hotel has great amenities and the service is very good.

but the service is very good and the breakfast is typical Mexican but that is what you can expect while traveling the back roads.

This is an (relatively) upscale hotel with amenities and service that surprised me and my wife.

Staff was available to wash clothing with on time delivery for our departure

The staff is very happy and the greet you with a big smile.

Nice little pool, lobby, bi-lingual staff, and the 'free continental breakfast' at the restaurant in front of the hotel is fantastic.

They arranged for a wonderful half day tour with Jorge Olmedo.

although you get many blankets, you have to be fully dressed to go from the bed to the bathroom at night, otherwise, you'll suffer A LOT!!

You can choose either one floor of a house (6-8 people) or we had a room with two double beds, in a motel style block.

There only two rooms, so if you have a group of 6 people, 2 will have to sleep in the sofa beds, and they're  less width than an individual bed.The bad thing: you have to pay an extra amount if you want someone can clean the villa and to use the not so good Wi-Fi connection.

The beds were quite hard and the hills around abounded with fireworks or something that sounded like gunfire - randomly at all times.

Two guest have to sleep on the sofa beds in the living area.

The beds are rock hard and too small to comfortably fit a couple.

We like the installations they were clean and most of all we enjoy the swimming pool.

The hotel part is nice, clean, do not expect luxury, ideal for short staying,

The pool is very clean and well looked after and was welcome at the end of a day out.

Clean, courteous, conveniently located, and reasonably priced.

It was immaculately clean and reasonably furnished.

They would do nothing to refund the money overcharged for extra non-existent people.

My child enjoyed alll ammenities  the full week.

Good for families with small children, so you can have them as at home.

but my brother and his son had no complaints.

I stayed there with my daughter and inlaws for a week and we had a great time.

The villa had everything to do it yourself, had a kitchen, stove and fridge, so you can save some money cooking there.

Our villa had two bedrooms for the three of us and a small kitchen with cooker/microwave/kettle/utensils/gas hob and oven etc It was plenty big enough

Didn't eat here and you have a kitchenette in the villa with everything you need.

but eating out is great in Tequisquiapan and in the suite you do have a kitchen.

but well set kitchen, a big nice pool and friendly people.

Ours had 2 bedrooms (1 King, 1 with two twins), 1 bath, living room and small kitchen.

The resort is about a 7 minute walk to the central plaza which has a plethora of restaurants and markets.

Best Hotel in town, nice houses, big garden space, tenis court and the best pool.

Everything was first rate -- service, accommodation, pool.

You can play Pool, Ping Pong, swim, relax and enjoy.

You are aloud to use the hotel pool and other hotel áreas.

We enjoyed sitting by the pool and having a swim.

There are very nice grounds with a nice pool, 1 tennis court, 1 ping pong table, 1 billiard table, 1 foosball table.

Just be aware to book directly with hotel as there are properties  with diferent servicié level.

They said it was the fault of the company we booked with.

I am sure you could have asked for one - we happened to have our own.There is also a games room on site

Stayed here with all the family and had one of the villas and one room in the hotel part.

Although the villas are nice and equipped the hotel portion doesn't even have phones in the room.

AND you get harassed by a salesman at the pool while you're trying to relax. Really?

They don't have security boxes so every time we left our room we had to lock up our luggage.

The town is near this place, it's a magic town, with cool places, the food is great.

Its proximity to town was its saving grace.

The location is great with just a short walk to the town square.

The bar is active and complete and the restaurant has table right off the main plaza.

This is a simple hotel with the perfect location opposite the cathedral, the rooms are comfortable, it has two restaurants and a bar.

They were clean and certainly among the best rooms in this small town (but the expectations cannot be too high).

I think the best part of the Hotel La Plaza is the location.

If you are an early riser or a very sound sleeper- this will not be a problem and the central location, wonderful restaurants and shopping will delight you.

The hotel is located right on the plaza, right in the middle of everything Tequis has to offer.

The best part of all was the buffet and the location of the hotel is really really good.

The breakfast was the best part, I expected an ordinary small buffet and I found it excellent, the waiters are very kind and efficient  The location is excelent!

As other reviewers have noted; the bells from the cathedral start ringing at 6am, and not just 6 short rings.

My only complaint and it is of no fault of the hotel is the very loud bells from the old church next door that start ringing at 6 am and ring every 15 minutes for almost an hour.

Went with friends and HAD MY LAPTOP, IPOD,CAMARA, CELL PHONE AND CHARGERS STOLEN.

but when there was naught but tepid (and I use the word generously) water after 15 minutes of flow, I call management and was told that they would reprime the heater.

Take advantage of the restaurants in town and the fabulous culture.

The hotel  has musical entertainment on the weekends and a popular brunch on Sundays.

We especially enjoyed sitting on the roof and the tables in the street for cocktails in the late afternoon.

You can walk all around downtown, eat in good restaurants and do great shopping also.

plenty of restaurants to eat (all price) Ideal for walking around.

On top of it, there is this little nice street just besides the hotel where some "italian style" restaurants are.

Food is good specially on sunday morning during the buffet.

This is a smaller nice, older, clean hotel with a lovely pool and great service.

Good service, garage, hot water, telephone, hi-fi, multichannel tv.

Service is better than ok, again nothing impressive either

We just had cervezas on their front sidewalk cafe/bar and service was efficient and pleasant.

I don't know how anybody sleeps in this town.

but the bells are loud, although after the initial wakeup- I was able to go back to sleep.

but you can't sleep past 6 am at this hotel.

Our largest issue was that roosters woke us up.
