We had all our windows open due to the heat of summer therefore, as a road-side hotel, the traffic early morning could be a tiny bit noisy

this is probably due in no small part to the ‘wellness’ facilities on offer at Hotel Romerhof.

Everything is really clean, the rooms are very comfortable, the food is delicious, the staff is amazingly friendly and the pool is great.

The Spa area with outdoor pool - magnificent !The staff very helpful and friendly, special room for skis and boots to dry  and the restaurant - we had breakfasts and dinners - we were really spoiled with gourmet dishes.

but there are steps up to the ground floor, and a few more steps after taking the lift, which is not ideal for shlepping heavy bags.

but no help with bags and there are stairs between the car park and the lift and the lift and the rooms so make sure you carry your bags.

Only minus is the indoor smoking zone, which is located in the center of the bottom fælle, meaning that the smell often is noticable.

The smoke can be smelled far up on the first floor, etc.

4* hotel plus, you even get sparkling wine for breakfast in the morning, that's more like a 5* hotel service:) Thank you again and again to the owners and the team for a week in paradise!!!

Even Shwarzeneger looked at me from the wall during my workout😉 The waitresses were really nice and even the host greeted us during our dinner.

We stayed here for 2 days with my family and all of us loved this place. Just to give a quick summary:

Positive things: 
- clean, modern rooms
- quite versatile, delicious foods
- nice, helpful staff members
- clean, well maintained pool and relaxation area
- good saunas (especially loved the dampbad and it is nice that there are dried fruits, tea, water etc.)

Just to summarize: 
Positive: 
-fast and pleasant communication with the hotel staff from the first contact
-nice personnel in every part of the hotel making guests feel welcome
-hotel is nice, comfortable and very clean
-breakfast was rich and very tasty
-fantastic pools with warm water accessible also in the evening
-really nice garden with pond
-trampoline in the garden
-lot of parking places
-few minutes from the Grossglockner High Alpine Road entry

Negative:
- we did not enjoy the dinners- the taste was some kind of boring and the options were limited.

Overall the hotel is wonderful and the family that own it are wonderful and their staff is very polite.

Of course we weren't aware of this and sat down at the wrong table and were promptly shooed away to our assigned table.

Don't expect to play pool, the table is smaller than a normal one and not in good shape

Haus Salzburg is a real gem in a beautiful place and I would recommend it to anyone who fancies a good mix of winter sports, friendly, relaxing surroundings and fantastic food and drink.

The three course dinner in the restaurant is some of the best food to be found in the area and there is always a great friendly, relaxed atmosphere in the bar.

The staff that Alex and Oliver have employed this year are extremely friendly and efficient and help the chalet run smoothly.

The chalet is comfortable, with great food and a very friendly atmosphere - Alex and Oliver did everything they could to make sure everything went well - from lending us needle and thread, to helping produce Chinese dumplings!

We stayed at Haus Salzburg for our sons wedding.Great location, perfect for our friends to meet, Oliver and Alex perfect hosts,with nothing too much trouble.Great food, very comfortable rooms and a very friendly atmosphere.This is certainly not just a winter location and can't wait to visit in the summertime again.Would certainly recommend Haus Salzburg to anybody visiting Hinterthal.

Alex, Oliver and the rest of the chalet team were really helpful and friendly making our stay very comfortable.

The bar and restaurant area is a good size (the photos on the Haus Salzburg website don’t do the space justice) and the service is prompt and friendly. The small team of Oliver, Alex, Marcus, Mario and two others (sorry we don’t remember their names!)

No fighting through crowds and battling lift queues here.

The slopes are quiet and queues non existent and once the only bottleneck and horrible T bar disappear in 2011/2012 with the planned replacement lifts in Dienten  it will be a fantastic resort.

Just had to write this review as a show of appreciation to Oliver, Alex, Chris and everyone behind the scenes at Haus Salzburg, who all helped to make the week of my sister's wedding totally perfect and one i will never forget.

Unfortunately we had no chance to try sauna and relax area due to limited time.

Due to bad weather we couldn't ride the mountain pass so my wife and i saw a camping sign as we passed this hotel.

In fact we are due to go again next week (March 2009)!

Everyone, from the owners to the wait staff, is friendly and helpful.

The waiters and waitress in the restaurant are the same every time we visit and are faultless and always friendly and pleasant.

Lady on reception was very friendly and provided us with a booklet for local vouchers, including the glacier road.

Very hospitable staff, good location, Grossglockner High Alpine Road (free admission with summer card) and beautiful town Zell am See is near by.

The breakfast was copious with the owner attending to her guests personally.

Locations is great (for skying, tracking or cycling), the pensions is very clean and elegant and the the owners are very nice people, trying all the time to help you and to make you feel special.

The hosts really love what they do and you can see it when Marlene (the owner) is pouring your coffee at 7AM or Hermann (her husband) is heating the sauna in the afternoon after a ski day.

Most likely you will find a car useful if you decide to come in this area, since the distances are long and a taxi can be quite expensive,

The village is a bit strange - just a string of several hotels, B&Bs and a tourist info place, so no shops or other amenities.

Our room was cleaned on a daily basis, towels replaced and even our bed linen had been changed a day or two before our departure.

But - the value for money is ultimately poor.

I have never paid quite so much, and then had to make multiple trips in to the kitten to literally find someone to serve me. disappointing

but if we had paid full price, we would have been quite disappointed by the items mentioned above.

but I later found I had to pay more than 300 Euro for the return pick up service.

Also the second day the wine card was changed for the new season and you get a lot of options in different wine countries and price range.

Got the feeling I was being deliberately ripped off on the price as well.When the Reception twice failed to respond to my subsequent emailed questions I decided to cancel.

The cuisine was above average and the wine list heavily focussed on Austrian wines - nothing to complain at all - we never had a bad meal.

as soon as it comes down to service attitude, luxury hotel standards, even small ones, and especially quality of food, not mentioning value for money yet, you're going to find yourself lost in a dark and partically scary alley.

Every member of the staff made us feel very special and very welcome from the moment we arrived until the minute we drove away a week later.

but when we needed help Max on the front desk and all other members of staff were most attentive.

We visited this boutique hotel with our small children after having been attracted by the hotel corporate film and their website. Upon arrival, not everything was as it seemed in the advertising: the house was nestled in a small village, the chimneys were all fake (building regulation?)

all over all the major downsides are:
» the hotels video on their website does not reflect the actual reality as there is no "schluf" bar anymore, none of the personnel seen in the movie works there anymore and the heated pool exists

Have been coming here for years its a very nice hotel with friendly staff and nice food. Set in the beautiful area of Bruck, with good links to one of the best and biggest ski resort in Austria (Schmitten)

The barman and waiters/waitresses were all friendly and you can book taxis from reception which is really useful and no more expensive than hiring one yourself.
