though the showers lack thermostatic controls so flick from normal to scalding to freezing with frustrating frequency.

Room cold,no heating, owners not friendly ,not interested in compaints, food was same menu all week, 
Would not return, was very expensive hotel.

Genuinely only negative thing is the heating in the hotel is set too high for us Irish,

We were please that the room temperature could be thermostatically controlled on the radiator and in the bathroom.

To put it in perspective, i have the heating on in summer. ..!

The bathroom had no exterior ventilation relying on an ineffective and noisy extractor fan.

It should be noted that there is no a/c in the room, and whilst the weather was not particularly warm when we visited we found the room soon became stuffy.

Poor internet, no privacy, hot with no AC, rude service, racism agains colored people , very bad quality furniture , no survice at all , no food , TV WAS NOT WORKING , no complimentary water or water boiler

The only minor issue we found with the spa was the fitness suite which was quite small and in need of air conditioning.

When we were there the weather was very hot and a little humid and like most of the hotels is does not have air conditioning so there was no getting away from the heat.

The hotel does not have air conditioning or fans which would have been greatly appreciated.The hotel does not encourage its guests to drink tea!

but there is no air conditioning and the room was a bit too warm, especially overnight.

No AC, which was a downside, very hot while  we were there.

However, the atmosphere was stuffy, the staff unfriendly, the food was pretentious and not great quality.

1) Freezing cold pool we couldn't use, Jacuzzi not much warmer.

No AC like most Austrian hotels which is appropriate.

Be aware that there’s no air conditioning in the room and as a consequence, the room can get really hot during the day which was extremely unpleasant!

Dinner was served in a over crowded restaurant with screaming infants and  no hair conditioning.

The food is amazing with plenty of choice at both breakfast and dinner.

We took breakfast and dinner in the hotel and the food was excellent.

We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet each day and the dining room was immaculate.

All the staff had  gone and so the family and management team served dinner and breakfast.

Food: breakfast and dinner was delicious with a good variety of choices.

We had a beautiful buffet breakfast every morning and the four course meals were delicious every evening.

The cooked food and desserts were delicious and even the vegetarian in our group was very satisfied.

Breakfast was also great and every morning there was the menu for the evening on your table, and also a leaflet with the weather forecast and things to do on which was a nice read.

Excellent breakfast and evening meals and extremely attentive restaurant staff who made the whole experience really special.

Thank you to Karl at the reception and lovely Lubica, who provides  service with a smile and cooked for me a tasty omelette for breakfast.

Buffet dinner was really good and breakfast had lots of variety and selection.

We had not visited the West Austrian region before, we were surprised when we were allocated a table which would be our table for every breakfast and every evening meal.

The breakfast / dinner table is allocated from day 1, with your name and room card on it, therefore you don't need to be shown to your table every day.

Loads of choices for breakfast and the evening meals were of a really good standard, probably the best we've had in a ski resort.

Food was delicious .We would go back to stay there again without hesotation

The facilities were excellent, the food delicious and the bar comfortable and relaxed.

The food and restaurant are first class with a great variety for breakfast and dinner.

Food was very good and better than a lot of independent restaurants we’ve visited over the years, varied, plentiful and very tasty and nice to get served with starters/mains/desserts for dinner.

I had a week skiing with my daughter at the Tirolerhoff.

We stayed for a week in March  the Tirolerhof hotel having previously visited the restaurant a couple of months earlier on a family skiing trip.We were not disappointed..The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very helpful .The food was excellent and one of the reasons we wouldnt hesitate to return in the future .

and the water was always piping hot - excellent for a bath post skiing each day.

Skiing again for the first time since early 2020 we perhaps expected a watered-down, post-Covid experience with hotels reducing their services.

We had a fantastic stay after waiting two years for this skiing holiday and it was worth the wait.

We stayed here for a week in January for a skiing holiday with Crystal ski.

A highlight for us was the extensive  breakfast buffet which set us up for the days skiing ahead.

This was easily our best stay on any skiing trip, and we think in terms of overall experience, probably the best hotel we've every stayed in.

The spa was very welcome and used every day after skiing.

We stayed at the Tirolerhof last week for a skiing holiday arranged with Crystal.

Thoroughly enjoyed  a weeks skiing holiday at this lovely hotel.The staff were always helpful and the rooms very comfortable.

Facilities in the hotel great as ever - helpful and welcoming staff with beautiful rooms and great cleaning staff who managed to magic our rooms back to immaculate after we departed each day for skiing.

(We left our hired skiing gear in a locker at the Intersport Rental Shop next to the ski lift, which was great as we did not have to carry the skis & walk in the ski boots!)

The pool and spa facilities were amazing with a great selection of saunas and steam rooms.

The hotel also has a lovely indoor pool & spa facilities.

Also, they had very nice and peaceful pool and sauna facilities, which we also enjoyed much.

The wonderfully equipped spa with Wellness Suite and pool is delightful and the perfect place to unwind and relax.

The spa area is great for relaxing after a long day.

We made use of the lovely pool and spa facilities and enjoyed these.

It’s nice, a good choice of steam rooms and saunas etc.

We enjoyed the spa and the bar area too, we used go down for a round of cards and a drink before heading up to dinner each evening.

As the weather was not brilliant, I had a massage which was excellent.

However, the steam room/sauna area on the lower ground floor is great.

We also found all the staff to be very pleasant and helful.

He is a polite gentleman  who is    amazingly fit.

And we had the most pleasant welcoming of all our trips (and we have traveled a bit. ).

The staff genuinely care about the customer experience and we always felt welcomed and looked after.

Special mention to Bernadette for her assistance during our booking and friendliness whilst there, and to Emil our restaurant host, an absolute star!

The whole team at the Tirolerhof made our stay very special….it’s a wonderful hotel.

In fact all the staff were excellent, even the breakfast expert was very jolly - all a pleasure to chat to and receive guidance from.

Wolfgang the hotel's resident hike guide does a really professional and caring job and thus we see parts of the region we would not have without Wolfgang's help.

The food was absolutely fab too, everything was so tasty and well presented - we were half board and would definitely do the same again.

We stayed on a half board basis which had a daily set menu with good choice of very high quality dishes (1 meat, fish and vegi + soup, salad and pudding), my daughter is rather fussy and the staff accommodated her request for beige food.

but with delicious food and is well worth the ‘Full Board’ rate!

Travelled for a skiing trip with a group of friends on half board basis in early March.

The food is fantastic, we was half board, hot and cold breakfast and 3 course evening dinner plus salad bar.

We stayed as a large group with half board option in ski season.

Food: absolutely beautiful, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere in the restaurant, good choice at breakfast buffet (if staying half board).

The food all week was exceptional, with us being half board we had breakfast and dinner.

The food (we were half board well worth it) is top quality, beautifully presented and cooked served in a candlelight dinning room.

(The bus station is also where to catch the 660 bus to the Kaprun Glacier (40 min journey) for a day out -also included on the ski pass) 
Hotel has a locked boot room for skis , Boots and boards immediately to the right of the reception doors.

Came for a one week ski trip with a few friends end of jan very good location very friendly staff we were on a half board bases food was very good the only thing for me the breakfast could have been hotter.

I went half board and the food was lovely, really good beer too!

We were on half board and found the food excellent at every meal.

We were on a "half board" package that included breakfast in the morning and evening dinner.

Seebar was closed during our visit which was a shame.

but despite this we did not hear a thing when the door to the balcony was closed.

but with the window closed you will not be disturbed.

On our transfer to the hotel, we had noticed that the local eateries were closing or closed.

but, being winter, we had the window closed so trains did not bother us in the least.

So if the trains aren't a problem, the late night drinking might be (although it was closed during our stay).

We were there during their slow time and the restaurant was closed

but unfortunately it was closed on Monday when we wanted to try that.

Upon reaching the property, found out it was closed, leaving us stranded in the cold.

The only point I should raise is that the beginning of May should be avoided if you want a lively stay as quite a large part of Zell is closed prior to the summer season which starts in mid May.

On such a trip we do prefer to arrive at the hotel and not have to go out for dinner so were disappointed to find the restaurant closed.

however, with the windows closed the noise was minimal and it seemed like the frequency of passing trains at night drops significantly, as we enjoyed undisturbed sleep (without using earplugs).

When we saw ear plugs were provided we were worried about noise as the train runs just outside, there wasn't a problem when the double glazed windows were closed you didn't hear any noise.

In the evening there was the occasional freight train that didn't stop at the station so they were far less noisy, with the window closed you could barely hear it all.

With the windows closed, we did not find the train noise an issue.

However, with windows closed this didn't present a problem for any of us, even with windows open it didn't present any problems for me.

Friendly welcome by owner, clean well-equipped rooms, extremely comfy beds.

The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and efficient.

We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were very helpful friendly and informative.

but probably because the beds were so comfortable and the room temperature was perfect; even when we kept the window open the trains and church never disturbed us.

Oh and if your still worried about the noise.

As they mentioned on their website, noises from train can be heard for lake view rooms

The adjacent trains, did cause some relatively minor noise issues for some of us,

The rest more than makes up for that and its only the cargo trains that are a bit noisy.

Yes, the train tracks are between it and the lake, and the trains can be noisy,

but this did not take away any of the charm and we did not hear the train unless we had the window open.

We were in room 12 facing the train tracks and never had any problems with noise as some people mentioned previously.

We stayed for three nights,  I would be amiss if I did not mention the trains, yes there were trains going past regularly, we had a lakeside room so in a position to comment, whilst occasionally I heard a train during the night the noise did not ruin my sleep, we had 3 good sleeps staying there.

but to pay for a badly prepared dish, also she mentioned things like "your country" and "your people", which was not very nice to hear.

My only gripe was the train noise from outside. .

There are longer freight trains that are louder

My only problem is as an avid train enthusiast I didn't hear or see a train all week gutted.

The proximity to the train line didn't bother us - yes we could hear trains occasionally passing during the evening,

Despite the closeness of the railway our sleep was never disturbed.

As for the comments by previous posters on the noise from the trains, there is some noise from the incoming or outgoing trains

Other reviews here make a point about the train noise, and yes, it's noisier at the front of the hotel.

Booked Hotel Seehof, 3 days before arriving for a week's skiing Feb 19th -26th, room 35.

We prefer Gestein for skiing, this is nothing to do with the hotel.

We stayed at the Seehof during have term week for a skiing holiday, booked via a package holiday.

Close to the PostPlatz where local buses ran for all of the skiing venues, as well as a lot of the eating venues and bars for the expected apres-ski.

By far the best skiing accommodation we have ever had.

The beds are really comfy and the bathroom great for a relaxing shower after a hard days walking or skiing.

Useful ski room for drying and storage of ski boots and skis. Our room was big enough and comfortable enough and we had a bath (essential to us after a hard days skiing!)

Stayed on a weeks' skiing holiday (with Crystal) and having visited many other Austrian Alpine resorts (Soll, St Anton, Westendorf, Obergurgl, Ischgl) I can safely say this is the friendliest hotel.

I stayed at the hotel Seehof with my partner for a skiing holiday in Zell for a week.

The skiing and snow conditions were superb 

Top tip if skiing you can rent a locker at city express to leave skis and boot overnight.

The skiing was brilliant  and we popped over to Kaprun for a day and it was a  lovely area.

I have just had a very enjoyable week skiing in Zell am See whilst staying at the Seehof hotel.

Overall a lovely place which really made our skiing holiday one to remember.

Came here with a party of 6 adults and 5 kids for a skiing trip, the hotel was brilliant staff almost like family, food was great.

We have just come back from a weeks skiing holiday staying in the Hotel Seehof.

The food is incredible and lovely relaxing bar area for drinks after skiing.

but did not find this a problem when going to sleep.

The hotel is right next to the train track, making it inconvenient to sleep.

but after being given ear plugs on the 3rd night I slept a little better.

but in-frequent again neither bothered me or disturbed my sleep( I;m not a heavy sleeper).

but they never woke us up during the night.

The cleaning staff was vacuuming, moving furniture with no consideration for the people who wanted to sleep.

Literally, feels like you sleep on the railway! 2.

I reckon to have 1-2 nights disrupted sleep per week

However if you are a light sleeper the trains may disturb your sleep so it would be worth requesting a mountain view room rather than a lake view room.

but didn't bother us and we managed to sleep late every day (and I am a very light sleeper!).

although the train line runs along the front of the hotel it certainly didn't ruin our sleep, we were knackered after a days skiing and apres ski.

however the trains are quiet and there is no vibration from them, it never woke me up and I am a light sleeper!

As it was unusually mild for this time of year it was very warm in the room even with the radiators off so we needed to sleep with the patio door open.

but sufficiently out of the way to get a good night's sleep.

Coming to the rooms, the rooms are quite small, so called lake facing,

Room is small without A/C only small fan is provided.

The room itself was a bit on the small side
