We were in Gap for a week doing research on my family and really enjoyed the comfort and friendliness of the staff.

We decided to book a hotel in Gap to break up the drive from Annecy to Nice.

Hotel Les Olivades is conveniently located close to Gap from where you can visit the region and enjoy the great landscapes and walks.

but this is a good hotel if one needs to be near Gap.

but as I mentioned, Gap was bursting with no accommodation within 20km due to the Tour!

Kind service, we were there for only one night.the hotel is very clean and modern.

The staff were really helpful and spoke fluent English, the room was so clean, so fresh, modern and really well decorated, it was superb!

Our conclusion was, it's a very basic hotel that meets your needs for a nice place to rest and a good breakfast.

Breakfast buffet was standard Ibis, well laid out, hygienic and tasty.

The Ibis is just perfect for what I want, secure free parking, pleasant bilingual staff, free high capacity WiFi and a good breakfast.

Evening meal and breakfasts are served in the restaurant at the hotel and is of good quality.

Free WiFi (a bit sluggish), better breakfast then some other inexpensive hotels and clean place.

I recommend the restaurant - they have a buffet of various entrees (appetisers) that is really fantastic, and the wine selection is modest

it took them almost 40 mns of questioning about us, the rooms configurations, breakfast and different sort of points despite the fact that the online booking was clear.

This Ibis hotel is everything an Ibis hotel should be: clean, well-located, and affordable.

but rooms very small, bathroom clean and our room at back was quiet although other members of group had problem with rooms being way too hot with not much help from staff on cooling them down.

The rooms were nice and clean and the hotel was well situated.However we felt that some of the reception members were inquisitive and unwelcoming in their attitude.

The Ibis Gap is like most other Ibis hotels - simple, clean and usually with a good service.

There are numerous restaurants and bistros within a 2 minute walk of the hotel, so the lack of a dining room does not present any disadvantage at all.

On the higer floors you have a beautiful view on the old town and the alpes.

however, as Tallard village is only 20 minutes walk and offered choice of bars and food.

Good value, pretty spacious bedrooms and en suite shower rooms, fantastic proper beds, quiet rooms, efficient check-in, a nice self-service continental breakfast, a restaurant and bar in the same building for evening meals after 19:00 (but not cheap), spotlessly clean, powerful WIFI, all well maintained and at a great location a minute from the junction of key Alpine routes.

The food in the restaurant is patchy, eat elsewhere if you can would be my advice,

We ate one night in the restaurant and it was appalling.

Dinner in the restaurant that night was delectable with a fab bottle of red too!
