Some of our family members also had a satisfying dinner at Chamas, their ground floor Brazilian restaurant and had lovely late night drinks.

The Brazilian Restaurant on the ground floor is also a must visit place.

we tried 2 restaurants there first the Brazilian BBQ it was awesome and the Chinese restaurant was also of a very high standard, when I return to Surabaya for more business I would stay again.

Delicious authentic Chinese food and Brazilian bbq, amazing Spanish & Portuguese music live band.

One of the other two restaurants is a Brazilian style steakhouse with the traditional skewers of various roasts and meats cut fresh right into your plate tableside.

Received a warmth welcome from Febby at the front desk.. She helped us with everything, even offered us a room upgrade with a special price and told us about the famous brazilian restaurant they have.

The Brazilian Restaurant is outstanding, including its Bar where Steven prepared great drinks!

Brazilian restaurant is very nice with Steve & Gatot having the tips for the town.

Check-in is a bit complicated because you need to show an e-toll card for parking, an ID card and a 500k deposit..
Vasa Room is great in size and has many sockets.

In a few hours, it was returned to me without any charge anymore.

I was just hoping that I might ask her to put a small cake bought in the hotel and put a birthday card on the room.

This is the only disadvantage in this hotel: one can only reach his floor with his room card by elevator.

Location not near anything nice so you have to take taxi to everything then I tried to order a beer poolside and I didn’t have cash or credit card handy and they told me I had to go to add more deposits at front desk to order more to room.

this morning we realised they charged us Rp35.000,- for a bottle of water.

receptionist put wrong amount in credit card machine then i had to come back to reception desk, the potter staf thought I left many luggages in lobby

and having breakfast at your dining area will be charged an additional fee for your child.

10.there was no info about any promo, then luckily i gave the BCA debit card , and she mentioned that the have several promotion just after they process my payment.

The lifts could be overly occupied by guest at times and staff might have prioritised the guests using them.

but very poor for lift because no staff to take care for queuing system, scramble to get into the lift.

Elevator management sucks, we have to wait 30min to go breakfast and back too, if you know you have wedding guest and fully loaded, you should activate all the elevator, how you care abt covid if every floor we go is full.

The worst lift management, takes half an hour to come down to eat, and half an hour to return to the room.

The worst Lift Management, spending more than 30 minutes literally just to wait for our turn to get into the lift and then spending more than 20 minutes inside the lift just to get into Lobby level.

We had to pass some elevators because they were cramped.

This hotel have only 4 lifts for 32 floor, we must wait for a long time, and during this pandemic, better we must social distancing, so we can't enter a lift full of people. 2.

From the ridiculous wait for the elevators to super slow service just to get a coffee or beer to no toilet paper in the bathroom even after you call to request it, I wil never stay here again.

There were 2 occasions (wedding and bday party) happening during our stay so its a bit crowded at the lobby and elevator.

The elevators were crowded, and we have to stop every 2 floor, from our room to the swimming pool floor, as other guests also wanted to swim at around the same time.

See the floor you want then see the lift signage floor.

The only thing that not cool enough is the lift.

Elevator service/arrangement is/was a nightmare.

she said "maybe yes", (again no product knowledge) we went to the elevator by ourselves and almost get in to the wrong elevator as they have two elevator to different level.

Not longer, while I entered the lobby lift on the second floor, I saw 3 cleaning staffs chit-chat at the lobby lift and it was noisy, made my wife more uncomfortable with the way they stared us and I found a lift

Spent the evening in executive lounge hosted by Yolanda & Greina with excellent service.

Pros: Room is clean and comfy, food is great, very good WiFi access, and super friendly staff especially the staff in the Executive Lounge (Greina, Elok, Feby, Kamlo, Anjar).

I stayed for 1 night there and got a chance to visit Executive Lounge on the 33rd floor.

Exceptional services from Ms febby at the executive lounge, she is superb helpful and courteous!

They gave me and my husband an access to the Executive Lounge and it was the best five stars experience I’ve ever had.

Executive lounge (comes with specific room, think glacier suite) is so good.

While checking in, I got a surprise, was selected as the 'guest of the day', my room was upgraded and got access to the executive lounge, of course I was very happy.

The executive lounge was very nice with a great selection of food, snacks and drinks.

One of the rooms being a Suites Room we were entitled to enjoy the Executive Lounge (free flow of alcoholic drinks available as well as snacks and some finger food).

Being guest of the day has also brought us to another great experience, we got a chance to have breakfast in the executive lounge on the 33rd floor.

I got the “guest of the day” on my last stay last week, got the access to executive lounge, free refill for wine, coffee, tea, and the desserts were bomb!

Booked 2-bedroom apartment and got access to the executive lounge.

There was plenty of option in the executive lounge.

Though i have to highlight my experience in the Executive Lounge.

The staffs, Febby, Olivya, Sasa and April were very friendly, hospitable and accommodating.

They were always very courteous and friendly to all of us each time we walked pass them even from a distant.

Not long after, a staff member came, I asked how the queuing system was, how come a table was immediately prepared, those who were standing in line didn't budge and just sat there watching me get a table.

We requested the assistance before we got down to the lobby and re-requested again when we handed out the key-cards and it took another 15 minutes (after another follow-up) that finally our luggages were sent down to the lobby.

When I complained to the hotel manager, he just apologized flatly and asked if I knew the person?

but we were asked to pay on the gate - apparently they don't have any system to identify that our car was managed by the valet team.

although We were asked to order through by the female server on 1 Jan 2022 morning.

So if you press from 17th floor, the lift with operator will skip your floor, so you must wait for 1 lift only, and you can wait until very boring about 30 minutes to get in(if get lucky), when i asked to staff, they said that 2 lift controlled with operator which they watch from cctv, i think this is unfair, guest must wait very long to go up or go down to main lobby. .

And i asked them, so the next day again,  only 1 plate.

although we asked some questions twice or three times.

The room service was very accommodating when we just asked for an ice bucket and some empty bowls, they sent it to us even tho we did not order any food from them.

we need to asked them to lower the volume down.

After went to the room, i asked the bellboy to get another shower gel because it was so small, i gave him a tip,

During our stay, we requested the Room Service attendant to provide more plates, spoons and forks and all were delivered promptly upon request.

This hotel is relatively the latest one and staff is very kind and professional.

but waiting for more than 15 minutes for 4 luggages from one room could make one feeling anxious if one has a flight to catch.

The check in process was long (we waited more than half an hour to get into our room) they gave us upgraded room

I’m staying at 23rd floor so imagine that i have to wait there cant use the stair, then almost all the lift full person.

I myself had to wait almost 2.5hours to get my room.

No initiative from hotel management to make queuing number so that guest may sitting while waiting.

(as i was afraid of the previous answer), he said yes it is open, then after we waited the elevater for few mins, he came and said "oh maybe its not open as they have split shift" (what is this ?)

And there are so many guests queue-ing and waiting for clearance.

although I do find a nice coffee shop near the hotel with nice pancake.

The coffee shop and bar are cool place to hangout.

But very strategic places in town,close with mall, coffee shop,shopping avenue, and others

I have not been able to find a 24 hour coffee shop in Surabaya. 3.

Arrived in the hotel in the late morning and find the design of the lobby pretty interesting.

Apparently the paintings in the lobby change every month or so, so it is a great location for artists to exhibit.

I stay in Artotel Surabaya for 2 nights for business purpose, i was amazed by the decoration of the lobby and restaurant.

Nice atmosphere in lobby, fill with art item, fell cozy, nice restaurant beside lobby, serve delicious food,  the room very clean with standard amenities, a good pressure of hot water, very clean bed sheets, clean towel, overall very good hotel, many selection for breakfast consider it's a budget hotel.

The lobby art is hip and fun and the staff is friendly and accommodating.

I've been here for 2 or 3 times and I'm so impressed with the decorations in their lobby and even in each rooms.

The ambience of the lobby during evening is superb, the staffs are courteous n friendly, and the check in was very quick.

When I ask this to one of the staff he said that they change all the painting in lobby, reception, resto and staircase in every three months and all are hand painted.

I even enjoy sitting at the lobby because of its art.

The name itself - Artotel has explained the hotel very well,  the lobby design showcases their unique art collections and gallery display.

The noise comes not only from the road traffic

But the weakness is because the hotel nearby intersection between Diponegoro and Dr Soetomo street, i was so noisy because of the traffic and i thought i have wrong position for my room position cz it make me can't sleep all night.

I was stayed on the 3rd floor, the coridor smell bad and noise aswell like some one move the table or smth.

however, the area is quite packed during post-business hours and sometimes, it's quite hard to stop exactly in front of the hotel (it's directly in front of a traffic lamp).

But, somehow thw room is not to soundproof so in the night when i need to rest, i still can hear the sound of door closing or luggage wheel

I choose smoking for the room and the cigarette smell was disturbing in the beginning

There was so much noise from the room next door and the live band outside the hotel.

The pillows were not fluffy enough, the hot water did not work, and the noise from the street were clearly heard even from the fifth floor.

The only downside is that the rooms are not double glazed so all the outside noise from the streets below transmits inside easily.

Wasn't sure where dos the sound comes from .

As I said previously, the sound isolation is very bad.

The TV produces a weird buzz sound every few minutes, and i wish they will put the refrigerator even in the smallest studio size room as it is very important nowadays.

but little bit noisy because of live music downstairs until quite late and in the morning the room smells  food while preparing breakfast, but overall it's good and we love the artistic touch on hotel interior

That said, my experience with the noise was not that bad.

only downside, the staff do not speak english very well and the music in the lobby and on the floors (they start pretty early in the morning) is a bit to loud and annoying

It was also hard to walk around due to the traffic, and there are no allocated passenger walkways.

Going from hotel to anywhere during peak hours was difficult due to the horrendous traffic snarls. 2.

It would be great to not be woken up in the middle of the night due to smoke alarm.

It disturbed my breakfast that I had to look at the buffet every minute to see if there was coming any eatable food out from the kitchen.

Stay for only one night, room is small and simple

But i have to say the room was small and "cold".

The room was small like most hotel in this category, that's why it wasn't comfortable to move around and you will find difficulty put your luggage inside (only small luggage).

The room is quite small, with small table, and without drawer of cupboard for clothes.

Expensive food, small room, had a room overlooking the street and its glass window was dirty and the parking lot was so small
