The only issues were that the windows & bathroom are pretty old (they really show their age!

I was unable to use the bathroom mirror as it was mounted on walk too high.

The toilet and shower are in separate compartments.

The furniture was dated, the tiles in the bathroom were chipped and we found hair in the bath tub.

However we give just 3 stars for room service (when we checked in the room was not ready - one of the beds was without bedlinen, towels were not changed during our stay, glasses were not washed, douche gel was over and nobody changed it), WiFi connection (it was very poor connection) and beds (uncomfortable).

The room was smelling old, the bathroom was a bit of disaster I think I would never go back there again.

In the bathroom you could feel some bad odor.

Positive side of dated is very silent sleep - no fridge, central aircon or bathroom ventilation to produce noises.

Towels won't be changed fast, alingside with toilet paper.. Only if you ask for it.

I was really afriad to come in and use a toillet, and the sink.

The room is very old-fashioned, from the communist era, veeery old type of furtniture which has not been modern for ages, windows and balcony door are very difficult to open and close, the bed is old, bathroom and toilet are also ancient.

Our room, the bed, hard as nails, sheets clean, separate bathroom and toilet, (thats a first) Restaurant closed for a private function, so that included the bar, I asked the receptionist for Ice. NO!..

Rooms are ugly and dated, bathroom has seen better times too.

Several reviewers have complained that some parts look a bit dated, the hotel seems to have been built around 1990, a lot of it has been modernised and they're going through room by room refurbishing each room,

In relation to the 3 stars, I cannot fathom how the hotel has this rating, as it is extremely dated, so dated in fact, that the corridors reminded me of something out of 'The Shining'.

but the friendly and helpful staff is ready yo assist the guests.

There is really efficient 24 hours taxi service in Poprad and there is number of hotels on the mountains just minutes away from the town.

Windows are difficult to open and there is plenty of street noise, therefore it wasn’t quiet and difficult to sleep.

The hotel should change windows because it was a little windy in the room which is not comfortable during winter time.

The windows are very old and all sounds from street you can hear.

Retro doors, fixed windows, dirty elevators, noisy neighbors, slow receptionist.

I would be cautious about expensive stuff to leave at room, we were on first floor and it would be possible to get inside through open window + classic keys, so i rather kept windows closed when out and dont leave valuables in.

There was a lot of noise from the outside that couldn´t be shut just by shutting the window and a balcony door.

Very small bathroom with no room for toiletries to be placed in the room.

All-in-all taking a shower was a little acrobatic event.

But unfortunately what hit the hospitality was lack of hot water in the bathroom.

The hotel is problematic:

The bathroom was also very good, let down only by the lack of toiletries.

The soap dispensor in bathroom was broken, minibar refrigator unplugged from power, water valve in toilet shut down,/ I do not understand why?/ many hairs on carpet.

though nice and clean - had a poor design from the functionality point of view: The toilets were far away from the bathroom, and with no water sink nearby, so one always had to go from one place to another :) The bath had no curtain and no decent place to hang the shower head.

the brekfast is medium without any note to remember little or very few fresh desserts as well as all industrial fruit juices .. in the lobby bar it closes at 10 in the evening even on weekends .. so little time to be quiet having a drink ..  the most interesting thing is the clean swimming pool and fitmess with friendly staff .

We booked this hotel for three nights and didnt regret it!nice clean room,lovely staff specially the team of barmans downstair next to the reception who kept topping up our shampine glasses without us even touching the bottle througout the evening and very friendly and profesional!also i found the piano player every evening a nice touch to spending the time in the bar.The food was nice enough with not a large variety

And there were hardly any guests staying here (which was maybe because the skiing conditions were below average for the time of year).

The food was also an average, both bars were closed after 10 pm whitch was bit dissapointing.

One would expect more from four stars hotel.

but you have to pay for it which is very outdated.

Hotel ibuildings were renovated few years ago, so it is not worn down.

Front desk stuff is always smiling and they are very very helpful.

I recommend the hotel for organizing conferences at the national as well as international level!

we stayed in this hotel for a few days, the location is undoubtedly excellent in the center of the village, the service is medium the lobby with non-modern furnishings, even the tourist assistance is mediocre I had difficulty getting information on restaurants and excursions  .. the rooms are instead modern and clean very kind staff of the floors that pr.

If you our unlucky during your stay and if weather it’s not on your side, there are lots of activities you can do inside hotel:

- spa; pools with salt water also small ones for kids, saunas, Thai massage, 
- bowling, billboard, fitness, table football, and even squash courts 
- children playroom with lots of toys

This was for sure not our last visit in Bellevue.

The bathroom was a little small and lacked toiletries, which would be nice to have.

I would say that the bathrooms could do with a bit of an update, a fridge would be beneficial and as it was in the eaves, we didn't really have a view out of the rooflights

A little piece of advice, maybe it’s time to change the names of the massages in the pricing list, because what the Thailand ladies were performing is very different to what Mr. Slovakian is doing.

Just do not pay extra for halfboard as for dinner you can choose only from 5 meals, which do not change, so after a few days you have to eat the same.

When we pointed to that, we were offered the same rate.

Shortcoming I find a restaurant that did not offer any amenities traditional Slovak dishes, the menu was very simple and expensive.

If you plan to hike in the Tatras, you need to get to Stary Smokovec and then take the expensive funicular to Hrebienok where the trains start.

We booked with booking.com spa not included very expensive for what it actually is we did not use it.

On the other hand I wasn´t totally suprised, because we had to pay the entire cost of stay immediately after booking (hotel policy during Easter) in 3 months forward.

but  very expensive, so one must be very careful about that.

though the same can't be said for the wine - too expensive for me to even think about - made do with something 'local' that just about did the job.

So polite and perfect service + great food.

but we could borrow one from reception if needed.

The second best thing Hotel Hills used to have was the fire burning in the fireplace.

As far as hostels in the High Tatras mountains, this really feels off the beaten track.

Being the only hostel in Poprad, it is not a bad hostel.

The rooms were excellent, the food was amazing, and the staff were so kind it really made for a perfect stay.

WE arrived to the Aqualand cottage a family of 2 adults & 3 kids and were totally overwhelmed with everything -

* Pitter, who helped us with trip tips, and was a wonderful host and a great guy in general
* the location, 30 meters from the lake
And most important - they have a great wood stove.

The owners are avid travellers and hikers themselves and have decorated their house with beautiful exhibits from around the world.

The owner peter explained everything to me and sent me to one of the best treks i have ever done while saving my big bag at his hostel for no charge at all!

It was wonderful to be so close to a water park

She mentioned that she likes to travel as well and very accommodating to our questions.

just back from 6 nights at aqualand pension poprad,i was there with 3 friends ,the pension was very clean and staff were great.we had breakfast every morning and could not fault anything.will be back,plenty of things to do around poprad.in summer.

To get hiking and mountaineering, all you have to do is hop on the electric train from the train station (less than a 15 minute walk) and you're up in the mountains in an hour.

I stopped by after hiking parts of the Tatra Mountains.

but after a tough day in the mountains it was a non-issue for us.

It seems the hostel is the only one in town and with better paying private rooms it gets forgotten about .The bathroom was a mess with water all over floor from shower curtain rod broken off.

it needs a big update, its outdated, during breakfast time we had a bad smell inside our room, shield on roof window broken, shower drain broken, it was a pool inside our bathroom, lots of spider web and dirt on smoking balcony, breakfast ok, staff and service excellent.

No air conditioning so the window needed to be open.

Last week I was there with my family - highly recommend this wellness hotel, good services and staff is very friendly.

The equipment in the room (mostly furniture) is a bit used, so don't expect super-modern room interior there -

As much as we liked the spa, the hotel itself is a disappointment and certainly did not give me the impression of a 4* establishment.

Inside the entrance foyer makes the same first impression.
