Plenty to do in the surrounding area and don’t miss an ice hockey match at the stadium opposite.

We also found that some of the female staff can be very rude with female guests. (Cultural??)

Downside for us was smoking was allowed in bar & billiards room and pillows gave us both neck ache with no option of a different type.

Reception looks like gyms entrance or some sport club,smells of chlorine or something,rooms are purely basic and small not even mentioning the bathroom.

but indeed in such competition Poprad wins.

but more for a youngish, sporty, proper hotel then you will like this.

As we did not bring our swimming gear we did not use any of the ample water sport facilities.

Free entrance were offered to the aquapark which was great after whole day hiking.

The entrance is just behind the reception.

I was surprised to find such a beautiful architectural wonder run by thermal energy with a zero carbon print.Even the fountain in the front entrance is very warm and seems like a bubbling brook.

Perfect value, because hotel guests has free entrance to large thermal aquapark and wellness spa.

Stayed with our family group , this is our 3rd vist here.

Great for a large group as something for everyone.

The food is plentiful and they accomodate all age groups well.

Inside pools ok, outside pools reasonable.

If your local your looked after it seems , tourist no effort made in giving you information on pools or even what to do , no welcome.

Besides the actual hotel the Spa and Pool areas are great, with a great selection of different types of pools.

though by  visitors just coming for the swimming pools.

The spa and wellness centre was the best I've ever seen, the pools were varied and warm and the laser show at night was fantastic.

The mountain view hotel is a 4 stars structure completed with a spectacular swimming pool centre.

After 5-6 active time crossings was nice in the evening to relax in a comfortable hotel room and relax in the thermal pools of Aqua park.

Arrived to Poprad from Kosice Airport by cab to a super modern structure with 2 pools and massage spa as well as excellent restaurants  and awesome luxurious  rooms overlooking the High Tatras mountais.

Starting with special pools, lot's of places were kids can play and have fun.

The pools are great, with a laser light show at 9:30 pm.

Good staff reception, free access to all swimming pool with warm water.

There was not stable weather outside and we got escape in warm thermal pools of the hotel.

The hotel was well-placed for what we wanted and the new Wellness Spa complex with 3 steam rooms, 2 saunas, a snow cave, plunge pool, jacuzzi and spa pool with jets, was a fantastic way to chill out after a hard days' skiing.

The spa is nice with wide choices of pools, sauna etc.

I particularly love the pools where they have laser shows - a bit cheesy, haha,

Indoor swimming pool (50m olympic) - may be fully occupied, because there are often some children have swimming lessons. Spa zone is very good, especially outdoor thermal pools during the winter. )

The only issues were that the windows & bathroom are pretty old (they really show their age!

I was unable to use the bathroom mirror as it was mounted on walk too high.

The toilet and shower are in separate compartments.

The furniture was dated, the tiles in the bathroom were chipped and we found hair in the bath tub.

However we give just 3 stars for room service (when we checked in the room was not ready - one of the beds was without bedlinen, towels were not changed during our stay, glasses were not washed, douche gel was over and nobody changed it), WiFi connection (it was very poor connection) and beds (uncomfortable).

The room was smelling old, the bathroom was a bit of disaster I think I would never go back there again.

In the bathroom you could feel some bad odor.

Positive side of dated is very silent sleep - no fridge, central aircon or bathroom ventilation to produce noises.

Towels won't be changed fast, alingside with toilet paper.. Only if you ask for it.

I was really afriad to come in and use a toillet, and the sink.

The room is very old-fashioned, from the communist era, veeery old type of furtniture which has not been modern for ages, windows and balcony door are very difficult to open and close, the bed is old, bathroom and toilet are also ancient.

Our room, the bed, hard as nails, sheets clean, separate bathroom and toilet, (thats a first) Restaurant closed for a private function, so that included the bar, I asked the receptionist for Ice. NO!..

Rooms are ugly and dated, bathroom has seen better times too.

There is really efficient 24 hours taxi service in Poprad and there is number of hotels on the mountains just minutes away from the town.

Near the station and a not very pleasant half hour walk from the old town.

We enjoyed the town, the best fun was aquacity.

Also, I would mention for people who read a review in lonely planet saying the town is not much more use than for a stopover I would disagree completely.

Location wise it is between the train station and the town so that is good.

Stayed here for two nights as a base to hike in the High Tatra Mountains.

I was at the last floor, the view on the surroundings was pretty impressive,

but they are very good for tourists, who are whole day in the mountains and are comming back in the afternoon/evening.

but clean with nice view to High Tatras (west side).

The advantage of the hotel is its location - good starting point for trips to the mountains.

I would only recommend this hotel, which in my view, should be at the most a 2 star hostel, to those visiting nearby Aqua City on the cheap, visitors using Poprad as a gateway to the High Tatras or Slovensky Raj, or those using the hotel due to its proximity to the railway station, in other words, anybody looking for a clean place to sleep, and nothing else.

Provided timetables every day for buses etc, telephoned the mountain services to check some summitts would be open.

Rooms have balconies giving nice view over Poprad.

Windows are difficult to open and there is plenty of street noise, therefore it wasn’t quiet and difficult to sleep.

The hotel should change windows because it was a little windy in the room which is not comfortable during winter time.

The windows are very old and all sounds from street you can hear.

Retro doors, fixed windows, dirty elevators, noisy neighbors, slow receptionist.

I would be cautious about expensive stuff to leave at room, we were on first floor and it would be possible to get inside through open window + classic keys, so i rather kept windows closed when out and dont leave valuables in.

There was a lot of noise from the outside that couldn´t be shut just by shutting the window and a balcony door.

I can highly recommend this hotels to families with children.

First of all, our room was really spacious (family room), I believe it was double the normal room size.

If you are planning to go skiing with the family definetely this is probably the best place if you are looking for the best value-money option.

This hotel is really great for families with kids also without.

We had family double room on the first floor.

Probably one of the best family friendly hotel i have ever been in Slovakia.

Very nice accommodation,ideal for family and children,clean rooms,nice staff,good food,lot of parking lots,really close to ski lifts.A price for accommodation is little high,wellness is only pool for kids and one steam sauna which is cold,two lifts for the whole hotel so you have to wait longer when the hotel is full.

Perfect for families with children and also for romantic days and nights.

Overall it was a nice stay and I recommend this hotel mostly for families with small kids.

So in brief.. pleasant rooms, friendly employees, tasty food and Tatry mountain in surroundings.. this is really good place to stay with families, friends or just go there for company meeting.

So was the New Years Eve programme and animations for kids.

During summer there was also entertainment for kids in the afternoon, my daughter (6yr old) enjoyed it a lot.

We stayed for a week, we had a great time, and the kids loved it.

For example we liked evening with beekeeper, where kids could create their own candles from beeswax.

The property is really kid-friendly, the pool is probably the best service they offer for children, we were provided a cot and a kettle for our son free of charge, there was also a possibility to have a potty free of charge.

There is a pool table and 2 fuzzball tables for entertainment with the kids.

Has a nice restplaces for a childs and wonderfull warmwater swimming pool.

It is a nice place to stay there with children.

It's just wonderful for a family holiday, as even in winter there's lots to do with kids.

We stayed in this hotel for a weekend dedicated to Tatra Mountain's exploration together with our 2 y/o daughter.

During our stay there was a mini zoo (sheep, ducks, bunnies and birds) that was much appreciated by kids.

But those things in comparison with the hotel benefits and qualities were just minor.

Only 2 lifts in the hotel, so peak times expect to wait some.

Honestly speaking for a hundred euro a night and 3* room i would expect more.

but don't expect them to help you plan some hiking trips or give you some detailed info about the vicinity which was definitely a pity.

but don't expect much especially if you are used to "western-style" luxury.

but if you pay about 120 EURO per two persons per night, you definitely expect something more/better than this.

And if the dollar holds against the Koroni (although in the EU, they are not on the euro standard yet), it can be a bargain!

They were little bit noisy when somebody was turning around in them.

No finnish sauna, just steam sauna which is located just next to the noisy pool.

I had to write this review after hearing my mom's tale of this place during the communist era, when everything - elevators, windows, lights - could go out at any minute.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, complete equipment for kids and tasty kitchen.

Everything was good.The food was excellent.The room was clean and tidy.The only defect they haven't a sauna and/or a pool with hot water.It's interesting in winter time if you got warm after skiing.The scenery is beautiful.

Nice modern and clean two rooms apartment, was equiped with a sat TV and free wifi, fridge and a lot of space for personal  belongings.

The room was very neat and clean, and a great view of the mountains.

Since we spend almost every day in mountains, we had only breakfast and dinner.

We had a brand new room on 5th floor with a great view of mountains  - as it was a category "PLUS", the size was sufficient for the family with a baby.

To my surprise hotel's staff sent it back to me to Warsaw with no extra charge.

but according the waitress “we will MAYBE have tomorrow”
- waiting for the menu card 15 minutes, while the 3 waiters were chatting 
- no fresh mint tea, no fresh ginger tea 
- they do not open a bottle of vine for only one glass of vine from the type of bottle they served one glass yesterday 
- beetroot salad with 3 peaces of beet 
- the waiters never remember who orderes what, 90% they (want to) put the food/drink in front of another person at the table
- breakfast shall be served from 7, but half of the “main food types” was missing till 7:30 (eggs, pancake, etc.)

Only downside that the spa can only used for two hours and it's extra charge.

Photos show all sorts of delightful hot, steamy, bubbly spa facilities.

Seldom you can feel such friendly welcome. Facility: anything you need is available at hotel, even a complimentary visit to external Jacuzzi (provided it's not that busy!)

They advertise as if they have a swimming pool and a tennis court.

We liked our apartment, rooms are large enough, equipped by everything you expect in 4* hotel, 2 flat TV, kitchen corner, some walls and doors are plated by wood.
